MECHANICAL과 Fugitive Dust Model을 이용한 비포장도로에서의 비산먼지 발생량 산정 및 주변영향 평가 (Estimation of fugitive dust emission and impact assessment by MECHANICAL and Fugitive Dust Model on a unpaved road)

  • This study is to investigate the methodology and applicability on emission control by both MECHANICAL Model and Fugitive Dust Model (FDM) through the comparison of field measurement data and calculated data. Comparing to the method of AP-42 emission fector on the production of flying dust the MECHANICAL Model was proved to be more applicable to the calculation emission rate on the various dust emission conditions on a unpaved road. The seperate calculation on annual mean emission amount and a 24working hours amount was undertaken for the easy management of fugitive dust. Dust concentration predicted by FDM is similar with a measurement value.

  • This paper proposes a straightforward method of analyzing the operation characteristics for the capacitor run single-phase induction motor from the traditional equivalent circuit based on the revolving field theory. The proposed method consists of five procedures as follows: mechanical loss segregation, iron loss segregation and calculation of the equivalent circuit parameters, recalculation of parameters of the main winding side, calculation of the auxiliary winding magnetizing reactance and effective turn ratio, and analyzing the operation characteristics for this motor. When the characteristics are analyzed, the segregated mechanical and iron losses are considered as a loss resistance across input terminals of the equivalent circuit for the analysis. The validity of the proposed method is verified from the comparison between the computed results and the experimental ones for the operation characteristics.

  • In this study simple formula of magnetic field in case of shield with finite-width infinite-length were deduced. By using these formula calculation is very fast and programing is easy. The formula are applicable to analysis of shielding effectiveness and the design for shield of distribution lines.

  • The breakdown voltages of punchthrough-mode diodes with cylindrical junction are analytically calculated, The proposed method, which is based on th Gauss's law, estimates the lateral expansion of the depletion region as well as the electric field and the charge distribution. The proposed method is given in terms of epitaxial layer width, the epitaxial layer doping concentration, and curvature radius of the junction edge. The calculation results agree well with the MEDICI simulation results for various device parameters.

  • A calculation method of the breakdown voltage for the Drain region with the spherical structure in high voltage analog CMOS is proposed. The Drain depletion region is divided into many sub-regions and the doping concentration of each sub-region is assumed to be constant. The field in each sub-region is calculated by the integration of the net charge and the breakdown voltage is calculated using the ionization integral method. The breakdown voltage calculated using the proposed method shows the maximum relative error of 3.3% compared with the result of the 2-dimensional device simulation using BANDIS.

  • The authors have intended to measure intrinsic dose distribution by Farmer dosimeter in irregularly shaped fields such as L, M, T,-shape model in order to determine dose inhomogeneity in those models. We made 2 off-axis points in each model and measured the depth dose at 1.5,5, and 9cm below surface. The results showed $1-3\%$ dose discrepancy between 2 points. We also measured the depth dose by geometric approximation and computer calculation in those models, and came to the conclusion that computer calculation using Clarkson's principle is simpler and the measurements are to the ideal data obtained by the experiment in those three models of irregularly shaped fields than those of geometric approximation method.

  • We present the results of a model calculation of the stellar distribution in a UV and centered at 2175$\AA$ corresponding to the well-known bump in the interstellar extinction curve. The stellar distribution model used here is based on the Bahcall-Soneira galaxy model (1980). The source code for model calculation was designed by Brosch (1991) and modified to investigate various designing factors for UV satellite payload. The model predicts UV stellar densities in different sky directions, and its results are compared with the TD-1 star counts for a number of sky regions. From this study, we can determine the field of view, size of optics, angular resolution, and number of stars in one orbit. There will provide the basic constrains in designing a satellite payload for UV observations.

  • The structures of 17GHz microwave burst for bipolar sunspots have investigated. which included the effects of the projected shapes of radio sources as they traverse across the solar disk using a magnetic loop employing a model of solenoid coils. An ensemble of high-energy electrons confined in the loop be assumed. The projected brightnesls distributions of gyrosynchrotron emission in x- and o-modes are computed and converted into total intensity and circular polarization difference at 17GHz for various heliocentric distances using numerical integration of the transfer equation along the line of sight. The results of computations at 17GHz for optical thin case will be presented. and the effects of the orientation of the loop will be discussed in detail, as well as the effect of size, position, Structure, and polarization of the emission. Also the results of the various physical P8lrameters such as the strength of magnetic field. high and low energy cut-off of accelerated electrons. spectral index and density of electrons will be preslmted. After comparing the results of model calculation with observations. we found that the observations can be well explained in terms of a loop model and its projection effect.effect.

  • This study was conducted for verification and systematization of estimation method about the headloss using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics). Head loss which happens between the inlet and outlet of in-line mixer can be a major factor for the design and construction. Also, this Case studies about the sensitivity related to the velocity in the piping system. As result, program's default calculation function was used to get each side's total pressure and the differential of each total pressure could be defined as head loss from in-line mixer. In the case of adopting pipe surface friction factor and geometry loss, Calculation residual can be much more reduced. It was found that residual of value between CFD method and field test ranged about 3 through 18 precent.

  • In this paper arc behavior in spiral type vacuum interrupter(VI) was analyzed by means of arc images, arc voltages and finite element method(FEM). As a result of experiment, the difference of arc voltage was observed under different twisting angles. It was found that the reason of the difference was the difference of arc resistance from simultaneous analysis of arc images and arc voltages. and the difference of arc resistance was explained by Lorentz force calculation with FEM. And the results of calculation were sufficient to explain the experimental results.
