This research deals with the analysis and design of a driving mechanism for an automatic pneumatic drug injector, which can precisely control the injection volume using a relatively simple friction-driven mechanism, without any complicated control system. Through a dynamic analysis, the effects of the design parameters of the driving mechanism associated with the geometry, spring stiffness, and fiction are analyzed, and the results are reflected in a proto-type drug injector design, which is under development for mass production. A test is performed to assess the durability of the mechanism for up to one million operations, and comparison of its displacement after one million operations, verifies the mechanism's durability.

The luxury car industry has grown 10.5 % every year from 2010 to 2014. For this reason, it is very important for automotive companies to improve profitability and brand value. High-performance brake systems have become an absolute necessity because of the increase in engine power and customer preference among other factors. Also, competing automotive companies actively reinforce domestic production in order to maintain quality and infrastructure for luxury cars. In this regard, we demonstrated new carbon ceramic brakes to improve brake reliability for luxury cars and to improve the competitiveness of automotive companies. Finally, we propose the next-generation braking technology by predicting technological evolution trends.

Classic cultivation theory and research has been noted for its failure to capture subtle variation in effects by genre and to consider tangible and practical dependent variables. Redressing these limitations, this study aimed at extending cultivation theory frame to incorporating fatalistic attitudes and reality television viewing, especially with the mediator of perceived realism. We first replicated the original cultivation effect by showing the significant effect of overall TV viewing. Even controlling for overall TV viewing, reality-based program use showed positive association with fatalistic beliefs; furthermore, the effect remained significant, additionally controlling for news(fact) use and drama(fiction) use. In a nutshell, the cultivation effect of reality-based TV program on fatalistic beliefs turns out quite stable even after controlling other competing genres.

This study has attempted to explore the way to construct the reality and its implication of the narrative elements in TV Audition Reality Show. According to the study results, first of all, two audition reality show has added the special tasks to characters based on the competition and has developed the dramatic events sequentially. And they has suggested the course of way between survival and fail, that is, inclusion and exclusion. As that results, audiences has be immersed in the process of the justification of the star(hero) myth and the dealings of musical elements to see dramatized show of narrative. And they knew audition reality show as non-real fiction, so they enjoyed the pleasure spontaneously. These means that the empowered media reproduced the illusion like star(hero) with the purpose of the commercial and political aim and one of the ideology to acquiesce in the appropriateness of the competition.

With the fast development of complex science, lots of social networks are studied. We know that the social network is widely applied in analyzing issues in human culture, economics and web sciences. Recently we witness that some researchers began to compare the social network constructed from fiction literatures(literature social network) and the real social network obtained from practice. But we point that previous approaches for literature social network have some drawbacks since they completely depend on the biographical dictionary constructed for a designated literature. So since the previous approach focus on the few important characters and peoples around them, we can not understand the global structure of all characters appeared in the literature at least once. We propose one method to extract all characters appeared in the literature and how to make the social network from that information. Also we newly propose K-critical network by applying frequency of the named characters and the strength of relationship among all textual characters. Our experiment shows that the K-critical measure could be one crucial quantitative measure to compute the relationship strength among characters appeared in the object literature.

This paper analyzes director Yang Yong-hi's documentary films "Dear Pyongyang"(2006), "Goodbye, Pyongyang"(2009) and her fiction film "Our Homeland"(2012). These films were produced on the base of the director's autobiographical experience, and raise issue of Jainichi-Korean diaspora who be caught in nation-state; North Korea, South Korea and Japan. With the family narratives crossing Jeju, Osaka, and Pyongyang, these films doubt boundaries be set by nation-state, and seek new breakout space. This paper traces restructuring identity in the tensional heterogeneity of nation-state exaction; Integration, unity, uniform education. In conclusion, these films foresee Korean diaspora's future identity from hybrid identities. It shows Korean diaspora's potential of receptivity, openness and solidarity which are required for Northeast Asian peace and the solution of two Korea's hostility.

In this study, a conventional pipeline unsteady friction model has been integrated into Levenberg Marquardt method to calibrate friction coefficient in a pipeline system. The method of characteristics has been employed as the modeling platform for the frequency dependant model of unsteady friction. In order to obtain Hessian and Jacobian matrix for optimization, the direct differentiation of pressure to friction factor was calculated and sensitivities to friction for heads and discharges were formulated for implementation to the integration constant in the characteristic method. Using a hypothetical simple pipeline system, time series of pressure, introduced by a sudden valve closure, were obtained for various Reynolds numbers. Convergency in fiction factors were evaluated both in steady and unsteady friction models. The comparison of calibration performance between the proposed method and genetic algorithm indicates that faster and stabler behaviour of Levenberg Marquardt method than those of evolutionary calibration.

In the Japanese colonial period of Korean history, appropriate conclusion often overwhelmed the historical imagination, and also pointed out that it shows a similar pattern in spite of the history detective novel genre that emerged with pointing out the limitations of modern history. Historical facts showing in , the legitimacy of independence based on nationalism, and modern civilization are well known in the historical and cultural contents of the Japanese colonial period. It is the reason why applied in historical and cultural contents, as the history as is for current desire of the public to the imaginary community(nation), and as the history which current social conflicts are reflected. History, historical facts and fiction are intermingled in the contents of history, and it is creating a new 'historical imagination'. As a matter of fact, there is only one fact of the past, but the historical imagination of historical and cultural contents is diverse as there is not one historical fact made by historians. History has not yet gone to the imagination for the future, but writing history through historical and cultural contents will create a 'history of possibilities'.

Multicultural literature serves as a device for mutual understanding of different cultural. racial, and ethnic groups. This sort of literature is like a window through which a reader can see what other value systems are. It also helps minority children discover their own cultural past and develop a sense of belonging. The purpose of this study is to investigate the general characteristics of East Asian American characters in English language children's fiction and to highlight the differences among three groups : Chinese Americans, Japanese Americans, and Korean Americans.

Targeting a film that is the medium of having powerful influence upon the masses, the present study examined about a role and characteristics in the movie costume, and a role of costume designers, which are shown in process of being changed the film costume. There are many designers who were in charge of the film costume, but the present study examined centering on designers who participated aiming to create the image of a character from the stage of manufacturing a movie. It presented and analyzed visual materials by dividing four genres such as a historical drama movie, a horror movie, a fantasy movie, and a modern-play movie, and by selecting a typical work. A Historical drama movie needs to be investigated costume by the historical background in a movie, but inside it was shown clothes that were elaborately reproduced and newly created. A horror movie plays a role of medium that reflects the human society and the internal mentality of a human being along with the attribute of entertainment. As a genre that requires much costume, make-up and special effect aiming at dramatic effect, a role of film costume possesses great weight. As a fantasy movie is a field based on 'fiction' of a writer who creates a work, it is a field that requires creativity of a costume designer most. As a modern-play movie is what reproduces reality, it best reflects the phases of that time, and is the field that is influenced by costume or fashion trend. Costume needs to be designed in a bid to allow spectators to be inspired the wholly united and harmonious mood with leading a story of a movie, and the individual image.
