  • This paper presents a new template matching method for finding facial feature points. Instead of matching each template to its corresponding feature point separately the present method matches a set of element templates simultaneously. The set of templates can be placed on the space predefined by the geometrical characteristics of human faces. As a result, the search area for template matching is very small compared with a conventional method. This makes the presented method very robust and accurate. Experiment results show that the presented method results in good performance In various illuminance environments and poses.

  • Recently, as the demand for 3D geospatial information increases, the importance of rapid and accurate data construction has increased. Although many studies have been conducted to register UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) imagery based on LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data, which is capable of precise 3D data construction, studies using LiDAR data embedded in MMS (Mobile Mapping System) are insufficient. Therefore, this study compared and analyzed 9 matching algorithms based on feature points for registering reflectance image converted from LiDAR point cloud intensity data acquired from MMS with image data from UAV. Our results indicated that when the SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) algorithm was applied, it was able to stable secure a high matching accuracy, and it was confirmed that sufficient conjugate points were extracted even in various road environments. For the registration accuracy analysis, the SIFT algorithm was able to secure the accuracy at about 10 pixels except the case when the overlapping area is low and the same pattern is repeated. This is a reasonable result considering that the distortion of the UAV altitude is included at the time of UAV image capturing. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to be used as a basic research for 3D registration of LiDAR point cloud intensity data and UAV imagery.

  • This paper has been studied a Adaptive feature-factors based fingerprints recognition in many biometrics. we study preprocessing and matching method of fingerprints image in various circumstances by using optical fingerprint input device. The Fingerprint Recognition Technology had many development until now. But, There is yet many point which the accuracy improves with operation speed in the side. First of all we study fingerprint classification to reduce existing preprocessing step and then extract a Feature-factors with direction information in fingerprint image. Also in the paper, we consider minimization of noise for effective fingerprint recognition system.

  • Template matching is one of the most often used techniques for machine vision applications to find a template of size M$\times$M or subimage in a scene image of size N$\times$N. Most template matching methods, however, require pixel operations between the template and the image under analysis resulting in high computational cost of O(M2N2). So in this thesis, we present a two stage template matching method. In the first stage, we use a novel low cost feature whose complexity is approaching O(N2) to select matching candidates. In the second stage, we use conventional template matching method to find out the exact matching point. We compare the result with other methods in terms of complexity, efficiency and performance. Proposed method was proved to have constant time complexity and to be quite invariant to noise.

  • Feature matching using image descriptors is robust method used recently. However, mismatches occur in 3D transformed images, illumination-changed images and repetitive-pattern images. In this paper, we observe that there are a lot of mismatches in the images which have repetitive patterns. We analyze it and propose a method to eliminate these mismatches. MDMF(Multiple Descriptors-based Mismatch Filtering) eliminates mismatches by using descriptors of nearest several features of one specific feature point. In experiments, for geometrical transformation like scale, rotation, affine, we compare the match ratio among SIFT, ASIFT and MDMF, and we show that MDMF can eliminate mismatches successfully.

  • This paper proposes the method for improving the localization accuracy of the mobile robot based on the stereo camera. To restore the position information from stereo images obtained by the stereo camera, the corresponding point which corresponds to one pixel on the left image should be found on the right image. For this, there is the general method to search for corresponding point by calculating the similarity of pixel with pixels on the epipolar line. However, there are some disadvantages because all pixels on the epipolar line should be calculated and the similarity is calculated by only pixel value like RGB color space. To make up for this weak point, this paper implements the method to search for the corresponding point simply by calculating the gap of x-coordinate when the feature points, which are extracted by feature extraction and matched by feature matching method, are a pair and located on the same y-coordinate on the left/right image. In addition, the proposed method tries to preserve the number of feature points as much as possible by finding the corresponding points through the conventional algorithm in case of unmatched features. Because the number of the feature points has effect on the accuracy of the localization. The position of the mobile robot is compensated based on 3-D coordinates of the features which are restored by the feature points and corresponding points. As experimental results, by the proposed method, the number of the feature points are increased for compensating the position and the position of the mobile robot can be compensated more than only feature extraction.

  • Drone has been widely used for many applications ranging from amateur and leisure to professionals to get fast and accurate 3-D information of the surface of the interest. Most of commercial softwares developed for this purpose are performing automatic matching based on SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) or SURF (Speeded-Up Robust Features) using nadir-looking stereo image sets. Since, there are some situations where not only nadir and nadir-looking matching, but also nadir and oblique-looking matching is needed, the existing software for the latter case could not get good results. In this study, a matching experiment was performed to utilize images with differences in geometry. Nadir and oblique-looking images were acquired through drone for a total of 2 times. SIFT, SURF, which are feature point-based, and IMAS (Image Matching by Affine Simulation) matching techniques based on affine transformation were applied. The experiment was classified according to the identity of the geometry, and the presence or absence of a building was considered. Images with the same geometry could be matched through three matching techniques. However, for image sets with different geometry, only the IMAS method was successful with and without building areas. It was found that when performing matching for use of images with different geometry, the affine transformation-based matching technique should be applied.

  • The most important factor of mobile robot is to build a map for surrounding environment and estimate its localization. This paper proposes a real-time localization and map building method through 3-D reconstruction using scale invariant feature from monocular camera. Mobile robot attached monocular camera looking wall extracts scale invariant features in each image using SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) as it follows wall. Matching is carried out by the extracted features and matching feature map that is transformed into absolute coordinates using 3-D reconstruction of point and geometrical analysis of surrounding environment build, and store it map database. After finished feature map building, the robot finds some points matched with previous feature map and find its pose by affine parameter in real time. Position error of the proposed method was maximum. 8cm and angle error was within $10^{\circ}$.

  • In this paper, we describe image matching techniques which is automatically retrieving the exact matching area using geometry-phase information. We proposed a Matching Method which is rapidly estimating the correspondent points between adjacent images that included big-rotation and top-bottom movement element. It is a method that reduce computation quantity to be required to find an exact correspondent position using geometry-phase information of extracted points in images and DT map which set the distance value among feature points and other points on the basis of each feature point of a image. The proposed method shows good performance especially in the part to search a exact correspondent position between adjacent images that included big-rotation and top-bottom movement element.

Accordingly, real time image processing and multiple platforms, providing compatibility with OpenCV for image processing technology research on actively in progress. At present, different, comparing the images to determine the similarity is low, the system will match the rate of people using the analogue figures to determine the system is for the most part. In this paper, Template Matching of OpenCV and Feature Matching utilizing different images to determine the similarity between digital values for the system. A comparison of the features of a specific point on the screen the image to extract the same feature in a different size, you can compare the features of the target image recognized as compared to three historic castle in comparison, verification. This is the voice and image recognition and analysis, check the matching rate readings than in Zhengzhou treatment techniques are available.
