Fashion savvy II: 타인의 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움, 자아존중감과 의복구매 자신감이 fashion savvy에 미치는 영향 (Fashion savvy II: The influences of fear of negative evaluation by others, self esteem, and consumer confidence in fashion decisions on fashion savvy)

  • The purpose of this study was to test the determinants of fashion savvy. As determinants, this study examined fear of negative evaluation by others and self esteem as subject-related variables and consumer confidence in fashion decisions as the product-related variable. It was hypothesized that fear of negative evaluation and self esteem influence fashion savvy both directly and indirectly through consumer confidence in fashion decisions. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul metropolitan area, using convenience sampling, and 311 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. In analyzing data, factor analysis and path analysis were conducted. Tests of the hypothesized path show that one factor of fear of negative evaluation and self esteem influence fashion savvy directly and indirectly through consumer confidence in fashion decisions. More specifically, 'fear of negative impression and judgment' factor negatively influences 'marketing literacy' and 'consumer selfefficacy' of fashion savvy, whereas self-esteem positively influences 'consumer self-efficacy' of fashion savvy. In addition, consumer confidence in fashion decisions influences all six factors of fashion savvy. The implications of these findings and suggestions for future study are also discussed.

간호대학생의 사회적 상호작용 불안에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Factors Affecting Social Interaction Anxiety of Nursing Students)

  • 자신에 대한 타인의 평가에 대해서 긴장이나 불안감을 느끼게 되는데, 이처럼 타인의 평가가 예상되거나 실재할 때 느끼는 불안을 사회적 상호작용 불안이라고 한다. 간호 대학생의 사회적 상호작용 불안에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하여 간호 대학생의 사회적 상호작용 불안을 감소시킬 수 있는 간호중재 방안의 기초자료를 제공하고자 본 연구를 시도하였다. 본 연구의 대상자는 본 연구의 목적을 이해하고 연구 참여에 동의한 B시와 C시에 소재한 4곳의 간호 대학생 196명을 대상으로 하였다. 본 연구의 자료는 SPSS WIN 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균과 표준편차, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression을 이용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과 사회적 상호작용 불안은 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움(r=.67, p<.001), 긍정적 평가에 대한 두려움(r=.56, p<.001), 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족(r=.44, p<.001)과 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 대상자의 사회적 상호작용 불안에 영향을 미치는 요인은 대인관계(β=.19, p<.001), 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움(β=.43, p<.001), 긍정적 평가에 대한 두려움(β=.34, p<.001)으로 나타났으며, 불확실성에 대한 인내력 부족은 통계적으로 유의한 영향요인이 아니었다. 이들 변수가 대상자의 사회적 상호작용 불안을 설명하는 설명력은 58.1%로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 간호 대학생들이 원만한 대인 관계를 유지할 수 있는 지지체계 제공과 긍정적, 부정적 평가에 대한 민감성을 줄이고 자기 자신의 능력을 긍정적으로 받아들이고 평가할 수 있도록 하는 교육 중재가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

갈등적 수줍음형 사회적 위축 유아를 위한 증강현실 기반 개입 프로그램 개발 및 효과 검증 (The Effect of an Augmented Reality-Based Intervention Program on Social Withdrawal in Children with Conflicted Shyness)

  • Objective: This study designed an Augmented Reality-based intervention program for children with conflicted shyness and examined its effects on social avoidance motivation and preference for being with others. Methods: Sixteen six-year-old children were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group. The experimental group participated in a six-week AR-based program. Both teachers and children rated social avoidance motivation and preference for being with others to evaluate the program's effectiveness. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and the Mann-Whitney U test. Results: Social avoidance motivation decreased only for the experimental group. Conversely, the control group showed increased motivation scores as reported by the children. The preference for being with others increased in the experimental group based on teacher reports. For the control group, preference scores reported by teachers and children were maintained and decreased, respectively. Conclusion/Implications: This study highlights the effectiveness of the intervention in reducing social avoidance motivation and maintaining a preference for being with others in children experiencing conflicted shyness. Furthermore, the use of AR technology provided a psychologically safe environment for them to initiate social interactions without fear of negative evaluation, highlighting its potential as a primary intervention tool for this population.

법무보호대상자의 진로자본 회복과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Recovery Process of Career Capital for Rehabilitation Protection Recipient)

  • 출소 후 건전한 사회복귀를 위해서는 법무보호대상자(이하 보호대상자)들은 반드시 진로자본을 회복해야 하는 과제를 안고 있다. 그들의 진로적응 실패는 개인은 물론 사회안전망에 불안을 가중시킬 수 있기 때문에 진로자본 회복에 대한 연구는 매우 중요하다. 본 연구를 위해 한국법무보호복지공단에서 지원을 받고 있는 보호대상자 10명에 대해 심층 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 질적 내용분석 방법으로 보호대상자들의 진로자본 손상에 따른 어려움과 그 어려움을 극복하기 위한 노력, 극복하는데 도움이 된 요인, 직업생활에 적응하기 위한 요건 등 진로 주제를 심도 있게 분석하였다. 분석 결과 보호대상자들은 수감생활로 진로자본 손상을 경험하며, 사회적 자기에 대한 부정적인 개념, 사회적 낙인의 두려움, 자기에 대한 평가절하가 진로자본 회복과정에서 자신감 결여와 소극적인 태도로 나타났다. 또한 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움 등이 사회적 관계를 더욱 어렵게 하는 요인이었다. 한편, 진로자본 회복과정에서 사회적 지지는 긍정적인 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 특히 배우자, 고용주, 가족, 친구들의 정서적 지지가 가장 큰 도움이 된 것으로 분석되었다. 직업적응을 위한 노력으로 진로에 대한 적극적이고 주도적인 태도와 긍정적인 자세가 중요하며 가족관계, 사회적 관계에서의 긍정적인 평가와 인정, 진로 성공경험 등이 일에 대한 자신감 상승으로 나타났다. 종합하면 진로자본 회복과정에서 역기능적 신념은 부정적인 영향을 미치고, 사회적 지지는 긍정적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

여자 청소년의 사회불안 감소를 위한 인지행동집단치료 프로그램의 개발과 효과 - 2년 추후연구 - (The Effects of a Cognitive-Behavioral Group Therapy Program for Social Anxiety in Female Adolescents)

  • The aim of the present study was to develop a cognitive-behavioral group therapy program for social anxiety in Korean adolescents and to examine its efficacy through pre-, post- and 2-year follow-up tests. The program included cognitive restructuring, exposure training and social skills training. KSAS-A and SASC-R were administered to 588 1st grade middle-school female students to assess their social anxiety levels. On the basis of double criteria procedure(top 10% scores on both scales), 59 students were selected initially. Individuals currently receiving clinical treatment were excluded. Finally, 40 students were selected and randomly assigned to either a treatment group or a wait-list control group. The program consisted of 12 weekly sessions, approximately 1.5-2 hours in duration. Whereas pre- and post-tests were administered to both groups, follow-up tests were administered to the treatment group only. The collected data were statistically analyzed through independent t-test and paired t-test. The results of the study were as follows: 1) At post-test students in the treatment group showed a very significant reduction in social anxiety and fear of negative evaluation by others in comparison with those in the wait-list group. 2) At post-test students in the treatment group showed a significant reduction in negative automatic thoughts in comparison with those in the wait-list group. 3) At post-test students in the treatment group showed a significant improvement in overall social skills in comparison with those in the wait-list group. 4) At post-test students in the wait-list group showed a significant increase in both social anxiety and negative automatic thoughts in comparison with those in the treatment group. 5) At 3-month, 1-year and 2-year follow-ups, the program's effectiveness was maintained.

English Anxiety among Thai Nursing Students of Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Lampang, Thailand

  • Thailand is one of the ASEAN countries and is said to be the most visited country in Southeast Asia. Despite its development, Thailand falls as one of the countries with the lowest rates of English proficiency. This article is written to describe one of the possible factors of Thailand's low English proficiency, which is the foreign language anxiety of students. This article outlines references regarding the English language anxiety of Thai students and uses them as a basis in distinguishing English language anxiety among nursing students in Boromarajonani College of Nursing Nakhon Lampang, Thailand (BCNLP). A survey was conducted using a questionnaire based on the FLCA Scale by Horwitz, Horwitz, and Cope, (1986) with a focus group consisting of 80 participants randomly selected from $1^{st}$ year to $4^{th}$ year nursing students of BCNLP. As found in the survey there were two sources of English language anxiety among nursing students: 1. Fear of negative evaluation due to unpreparedness, and feeling and thinking that others are better in language learning as the main factors; and 2. Communicating apprehension, where in speaking without preparation, speaking in the foreign language in front of other students, and self-doubt about one's ability to speak in the foreign language are the highest ranked causes of anxiety. The results indicate two main problems: unpreparedness and self-concept. Therefore, it is recommended that English Language classes should be taught with the learner-centered approach and that instructors should put importance in preparing the students during class, and encouraging them to increase a positive self-concept towards English language learning.
