Recently, a small tracking radar requires the development of a small millimeter wave tracking radar having a high range resolution that can acquire and track a target in various environments and disable the target system with a single blow. Small millimeter wave tracking radar with high range resolution needs to implement a signal processor that can process wide bandwidth signals in real time and meet the requirements of small tracking radar. In this paper, we designed a signal processor that can perform the role and function of a signal processor for a small millimeter wave tracking radar. The signal processor for the small millimeter wave tracking radar requires the real-time processing of input signal of OOOMHz center frequency and OOOMHz bandwidth from 8 channels. In order to satisfy the requirements of the signal processor, the signal processor was designed by applying the high-performance FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and ADC (Analog-to-digital converter) for pre-processing operations, such as DDC (Digital Down Converter) and FFT (Fast Fourier Transform). Finally, the signal processor of the small millimeter wave tracking radar was verified via performance test.
A variable structure controller is developed for an AC servo motor used in CNC milling machines. The designed controller is implemented as an outer loop controller to a factory designed motor-servopack system. The robustness parameter is tuned for a fast response when the speed tracking error is large, while it is tuned for small oscillations when the speed tracking error is small. The designed controller is installed on a CNC machine using a PC. Cutting experiments show improved performance over the factory-designed controller.
A hydraulic gun/turret servo system requires fast and robust controller performance because of severe operating condition and precise target tracking objective. Digital controllers are able to satisfy this requirement due to high speed electronic device. The purpose of this study is to compare with pre-EPU with new-designed optimal, adaptive controllers by simulating nonlinear hydraulic simulation program. The designed digital controller shows good tracking performance and robustness to disturbance.

In this paper conditions are derived, which ensure the existence of a quasi-sliding mode on the control switching hyperplane in discrete variable structure control systems and also remove the reaching phase problem observed in continuous-time variable structure systems. In addition, a discrete variable structure tracking controller which has adaptive properties is devised based on these results. This controller has useful properties, such as small sensitivity to the variation of plant parameters and to disturbances and its performing speed is fast compared to that of other adaptive controller.

In this paper, we propose a new mouthpiece model for the electronic wind instrument using a propeller and linear analysis for fast tracking wind velocity blown. This method is a modification of the velocity anemometer for fast tracking wind velocity by the propeller's angular velocity (speed of revolution). In the case of velocity anemometer, wind velocity is calculated using the property that wind velocity is in proportion to the propeller's angular velocity. However, wind velocity and angular velocity of the propeller are not in one-one correspondence because wind velocity takes some transitional time for the expected wind velocity to be calculated from angular velocity. To resolve this problem, we propose a method for finding the impulse response of the system which can be considered as a linear system, and for estimating the wind velocity by deconvolving the propeller's angular velocity with the impulse response. To experiment and to prove the validity of the proposed system, we designed a mouthpiece model which consists of a motor, a propeller and an encoder. The result of estimated wind velocity in this method showed that this system is about eightfold faster than the method by the conventional velocity anemometer.

A real time system realization for binocular eyeball tracking mouse on the computer monitor being far from 30-40cm is presented in the paper. The processing for searching eyeball and tracking the cursor are that a facial image is acquired by the small CCD camera, convert it into binary image, search for the eye two using the five region mask method in the eye surroundings and the side four points diagonal positioning method is searched the each iris. The tracking cursor is matched by measuring the iris central moving position. The cursor controlling is achieved by comparing two related distances between the iris maximum moving and the cursor moving to calculate the moving distance from gazing position and screen. The experimental results show that the binocular eyeball mouse system is simple and fast to be real time.

In this paper, an estimation of person height and 3D location of a moving person by using the pan/tilt-embedded stereo tracking system is suggested and implemented. In the proposed system, face coordinates of a target person is detected from the sequential input stereo image pairs by using the YCbCr color model and phase-type correlation methods and then, using this data as well as the geometric information of the stereo tracking system, distance to the target from the stereo camera and 3-dimensional location information of a target person are extracted. Basing on these extracted data the pan/tilt system embedded in the stereo camera is controlled to adaptively track a moving person and as a result, moving trajectory of a target person can be obtained. From some experiments using 780 frames of the sequential stereo image pairs, it is analyzed that standard deviation of the position displacement of the target in the horizontal and vertical directions after tracking is kept to be very low value of 1.5, 0.42 for 780 frames on average, and error ratio between the measured and computed 3D coordinate values of the target is also kept to be very low value of 0.5% on average. These good experimental results suggest a possibility of implementation of a new stereo target tracking system having a high degree of accuracy and a very fast response time with this proposed algorithm.

Visual object tracking is a challenging area of study in the field of computer vision due to many difficult problems, including a fast variation of target shape, occlusion, and arbitrary ground truth object designation. In this paper, we focus on the reinforced feature of the dynamic search area to get better performance than conventional discriminative model prediction trackers on the condition when the accuracy deteriorates since low feature discrimination. We propose a reinforced input feature method shown like the spotlight effect on the dynamic search area of the target tracking. This method can be used to improve performances for deep learning based discriminative model prediction tracker, also various types of trackers which are used to infer the center of the target based on the visual object tracking. The proposed method shows the improved tracking performance than the baseline trackers, achieving a relative gain of 38% quantitative improvement from 0.433 to 0.601 F-score at the visual object tracking evaluation.
In this paper, we propose a method that merges and splits players in the MeanShift tracking framework. The MeanShift tracking moves the center of tracking window to the maximum probability location given the target probability distribution. This tracking method has been widely used for real-time tracking problems because of its fast processing speed. However, it hardly handles occlusions in multiple object tracking systems. Occlusions can be usually solved by applying data association methods. In this paper, we propose a method that can be applied before data association methods. The proposed method automatically merges and splits the overlapped players by adjusting the each player's tracking map. We have compared the tracking performance of the MeanSfhit tracking algorithm and the proposed method.

In this paper, we present an automatic image object tracking system for Studio cameras on the stage. For object tracking, we use the OpenCV-based Python program using PC, Raspberry Pi 3 and mobile devices. There are many methods of image object tracking such as mean-shift, CAMshift (Continuously Adaptive Mean shift), background modelling using GMM(Gaussian mixture model), template based detection using SURF(Speeded up robust features), CMT(Consensus-based Matching and Tracking) and TLD methods. CAMshift algorithm is very efficient for real-time tracking because of its fast and robust performance. However, in this paper, we implement an image object tracking system for studio cameras based CMT algorithm. This is an optimal image tracking method because of combination of static and adaptive correspondences. The proposed system can be applied to an effective and robust image tracking system for continuous object tracking on the stage in real time.
