Most traditional garbage collectors commonly use the language level metadata, which is designed for pointer type searching. However, because it is difficult to use this metadata in non-volatile memory allocation platforms, a new garbage collection technique is essential for non-volatile memory utilization. In this paper, we design new metadata for managing information regarding non-volatile memory allocation called "Allocation Tree". This metadata is comprised of tree data structure for fast information lookup and a node that holds an allocation address and an object ID pair in key-value form. The Garbage Collector starts collecting when there are insufficient non-volatile memory spaces, and it compares user data and the allocation tree for garbage detection. We develop this algorithm in a persistent heap based non-volatile memory allocation platform called "HEAPO" for demonstration.
Recently, the capability of efficient access to the desired video content is of growing importance because more digital video data are available at an increasing rate. A video summary abstracting the gist from the entirety enables the efficient browsing as well as the fast skimming of the video contents. In this paper, we discuss a novel dynamic summarization method based on the detection of highlights which represent semantically significant content and the description scheme (DS) proposed to MPEG-7 aiming to provide summary description. The summary DS proposed to MPEG-7 allows for efficient navigation and browsing to the contents of interest through the functionalities of multi-level highlights, hierarchical browsing and user-customized summarization. In this paper, we also show the validation and the usefulness of the methodology for dynamic summarization and the summary DS in real applications with soccer video sequences.

DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) has been a continuous threat to the cyber world with the growth in cyber technology. This technical evolution has given rise to a number of ultra-sophisticated ways for the attackers to perform their DDoS attack. In general, the attackers who generate the denial of service, use the vulnerabilities of the TCP. Some of the vulnerabilities like SYN (synchronization) flooding, and IP spoofing are used by the attacker to create these Distributed Reflected Denial of Service (DrDoS) attacks. An attacker, with the assistance of IP spoofing creates a number of attack packets, which reflects the flooded packets to an attacker's intended victim system, known as the primary target. The proposed scheme, Efficient Spoofed Flooding Defense (ESFD) provides two level checks which, consist of probing and non-repudiation, before allocating a service to the clients. The probing is used to determine the availability of the requested client. Non-repudiation is taken care of by the timestamp enabled in the packet, which is our major contribution. The real time experimental results showed the efficiency of our proposed ESFD scheme, by increasing the performance of the CPU up to 40%, the memory up to 52% and the network bandwidth up to 67%. This proves the fact that the proposed ESFD scheme is fast and efficient, negating the impact on the network, victim and primary target.

A thiocyanate poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane electrode based on [1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane]dihalopalladium( II), [(dppe)$PdX_2$, X = Cl ($L^1$), X = I ($L^2$)] as active sensor has been developed. The diiodopalladium complex, [(dppe)$PdI_2](L^2$) displays an anti-Hofmeister selectivity sequence: $SCN^-\;>\;I^-\;>\;{ClO_4}^-\;>\;Sal^-\;>\;Br^-\;>\;{NO_2}^-\;>\;{HPO_4}^-\;>\;AcO^-\;>\;{NO_3}^-\;>\;{H_2PO_4}^-\;>\;{CO_3}^{2-}$. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian response (-59.8 mV/decade) over a wide linear concentration range of thiocyanate ($(1.0\;{\times}\;10^{-1}\;to\;5.0\;{\times}\;10^{-6}$ M), low detection limit ($(1.1\;{\times}\;10^{-6}$ M), fast response $(t_{90%}$ = 24 s), and applicability over a wide pH range (3.5∼11). Addition of anionic sites, potassium tetrakis[p-chlorophenyl] borate (KTpClPB) is shown to improve potentiometric anion selectivity, suggesting that the palladium complex may operate as a partially charged carrier-type ionophore within the polymer membrane phase. The reaction mechanism is discussed with respect to UV-Vis and IR spectroscopy. Application of the electrode to the potentiometric titration of thiocyanate ion with silver nitrate is reported.
A novel solid-contact indium(III)-selective sensor based on bis-(1H-benzimidazole-5-methoxy-2-[(4-methoxy-3, 5-dimethyl-1-pyridinyl) 2-methyl]) thiosulfinate, known as an omeprazole dimer (OD) and a neutral ionophore, was constructed, and its performance characteristics were evaluated. The sensor was prepared by applying a membrane cocktail containing the ionophore to a graphite rod pre-coated with polyethylene dioxythiophene (PEDOT) conducting polymer as the ion-to-electron transducer. The membrane contained 3.6% OD, 2.3% oleic acid (OA) and 62% dioctyl phthalate (DOP) as the solvent mediator in PVC and produced a good potentiometric response to indium(III) ions with a Nernstian slope of 19.09 mV/decade. The constructed sensor possessed a linear concentration range from $3{\times}10^{-7}$ to $1{\times}10^{-2}$ M and a lower detection limit (LDL) of $1{\times}10^{-7}$ M indium(III) over a pH range of 4.0-7.0. It also displayed a fast response time and good selectivity for indium(III) over several other ions. The sensor can be used for longer than three months without any considerable divergence in potential. The sensor was utilized for direct and flow injection potentiometric (FIP) determination of indium(III) in alloys. The parameters that control the flow injection method were optimized. Indium(III) was quantitatively recovered, and the results agreed with those obtained using atomic absorption spectrophotometry, as confirmed by the f and t values. The sensor was also utilized as an indicator electrode for the potentiometric titration of fluoride in the presence of chloride, bromide, iodide and thiocyanate ions using indium(III) nitrate as the titrant.
We report the effect of the fabric of the surface microstructure on the CO gas sensing properties of $SnO_2$ thin films deposited on self-assembled Au nanodots ($SnO_2$/Au) that were formed on $SiO_2/Si$ substrates. We characterized structural and morphological properties, comparing them to those of $SnO_2$ thin films deposited directly onto $SiO_2/Si$ substrates. We observed a significant enhancement of CO gas sensing properties in the $SnO_2$/Au gas sensors, specifically exhibiting a high maximum response at $200^{\circ}C$ and quite a low detection limit of 1 ppm level in dry air. In particular, the response of the $SnO_2/Au$ gas sensor was found to reach the maximum value of 32.5 at $200^{\circ}C$, which is roughly 27 times higher than the response (~1.2) of the $SnO_2$ gas sensor obtained at the same operating temperature of $200^{\circ}C$. Furthermore, the $SnO_2/Au$ gas sensors displayed very fast response and recovery behaviors. The observed enhancement in the CO gas sensing properties of the $SnO_2/Au$ sensors is mainly ascribed to the formation of a nanostructured morphology in the active $SnO_2$ layer having a high specific surface-reaction area by the insertion of a nanodot form of Au nucleation layer.
Internet had spread in all fields with the fast speed during the last 10 years. Lately, wireless network is also spreading rapidly. Also, number of times that succeed attack attempt and invasion for wireless network is increasing rapidly TMS system was developed to overcome these threat on wireless network. Existing TMS system supplies active confrontation mechanism on these threats. However, existent TMS has limitation that new form of attack do not filtered efficiently. Therefor this paper proposes a new method that it automatically compute the threat from the imput packets with vector space model and detect anomaly detection of wireless network. Proposed mechanism in this research analyzes similarity degree between packets, and detect something wrong symptom of wireless network and then classify these threats automatically.

Feature point matching, which is finding the corresponding points from two images with different viewpoint, has been used in various vision-based applications and the demand for the real-time operation of the matching is increasing these days. This paper presents a real-time feature point matching method by using a local descriptor derived by Zernike moments. From an input image, we find a set of feature points by using an existing fast corner detection algorithm and compute a local descriptor derived by Zernike moments at each feature point. The local descriptor based on Zernike moments represents the properties of the image patch around the feature points efficiently and is robust to rotation and illumination changes. In order to speed up the computation of Zernike moments, we compute the Zernike basis functions with fixed size in advance and store them in lookup tables. The initial matching results are acquired by an Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) method and false matchings are eliminated by a RANSAC algorithm. In the experiments we confirmed that the proposed method matches the feature points in images with various transformations in real-time and outperforms existing methods.
Metal-p-$NH_2$-Bn-DOTA (paraammionobenzyl-1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid: ABDOTA) complex was synthesized and purified for bio-tagging to quantify biological target materials using laser ablation (LA)-ICP-MS. Since the preparation of a pure and stable tagging complex is the key procedure for quantification, magnetic particles were used to purify the synthesized metal-ABDOTA complex. The magnetic particles immobilized with the complex attracted to a permanent magnet, resulting in fast separation from free un-reacted metal ions in solution. Gd ions formed the metal-complex with a higher yield of 64.3% (${\pm}3.9%$ relative standard deviation (RSD)) than Y ions, 52.3% (${\pm}2.5%$ RSD), in the pH range 4-7. The complex bound to the magnetic particles was released by treatment with a strong base, of which the recovery was 81.7%. As a reference, a solid phase extraction (SPE) column packed with Chelex-100 resin was employed for separation under similar conditions and produced comparable results. The tagging technique complemented polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microarray chip sampling in LA-ICP-MS, allowing determination of small sample volumes at high throughputs. For application, immunoglobulin G (IgG) was immobilized on the pillars of PDMS microarray chips and then tagged with the prepared Gd complex. IgG could then be determined through measurement of Gd by LA-ICP-MS. A detection limit of 1.61 ng/mL (${\pm}0.75%$ RSD) for Gd was obtained.
A single step fabrication process of carbon nanotube/Prussian Blue (CNT/PB) paste electrodes based on screen printing technology has been studied as an amperometric sensor for the determination of hydrogen peroxide and free chlorine. Compared to the classical carbon paste (CP) electrode, the CNT paste electrode greatly enhanced the response in the presence of hydrogen peroxide due to the electrocatalytic activity of the CNT. Based on the CNT/binder paste, PB was also incorporated into a network of CNT paste and characterized. The best electroanalytical properties of PB-mixed sensors to hydrogen peroxide were obtained with PB ratio of 10 wt % composition, which showed fast response time ($t_{90}{\leq}5$ s; 0.2 - 0.3 mM), low detection limit of 1.0 ${\mu}M$, good linear response in the range from $5.0{\times}10^{-5}$ - $1.0{\times}10^{-3}$ mol $L^{-1}$ ($r^2$ = 0.9998), and high sensitivity of -8.21 ${\mu}AmM^{-1}$. In order to confirm the enhanced electrochemical properties of CNT/PB electrode, the sensor was further applied for the determination of chlorine in water, which exhibited a linear response behavior in the range of 50 - 2000 ppb for chlorine with a slope of 1.10 ${\mu}Appm^{-1}$ ($r^2$ = 9971).
