The purpose of this research is to study the semantic characteristics of outdoor brand names by analyzing 94 brand names in domestic market, so as to propose ways to develop strategic brand names. The results are as follows. When it comes to outdoor brand products, the emphasis is placed on their functional features. Thus, the majority of outdoor brands surveyed in this Study were using strategic descriptive brand names which clearly denote the properties and effects of the relevant products to leave lasting impressions on consumers'minds. In other words, the outdoor brands surveyed herein were using brands which inform consumers of the specific business and product categories, express the concept of the brands, and provide them with information on the features and benefits of the products such as high quality, high-class, and luxurious lifestyle. In conclusion, the components of outdoor brand names are crucial elements which symbolize the concepts, functions or features of the relevant brands. In order to develop brand names consisting of components which build brand powers and enhance brand images, it is imparetive to develop more unique and characteristic brand names.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of product variables(i.e., fashionability, brand fame) and situational variables(i.e., time constraint, usage occasion) on the internet browsing behavior (i.e., prepurchase search; ongoing search for products, stores, fashion trends, promotions, and post-purchasing information) for fashion products. This study developed hypothetical scenarios based on the factorial design of the two independent variables for the survey with a questionnaire. All items in the questionnaire were measured on a six-point scale. By convenience sampling and on-line survey, a total of 209 usable responses were used for further analyses. The results show as follows; firstly, respondents more intensively browse for information search on products, stores and fashion trends when the style of browsing products is trendy. Secondly, whether the fashion products have a famous brand name or not has a significant influence on browsing behavior for stores and fashion trends information search. Thirdly, time constraint is found to influence significantly on respondents' browsing for promotions information search. Lastly, occasion for product worn shows a significant influence on browsing behavior for stores and fashion trends information search. The managerial implications are provided based on findings.
This study analyzed risk perception and risk reduction behaviors of male and female college students in their twenties who purchased fashion products in internet shopping malls. It also investigated the relationship between risk perception and risk reduction behavior as well as the ways in which groups, categorized by risk perception, differed in their risk reduction behaviors. The results of this study were as follows: first, seven factors of risk perception were identified. These were product quality, shipping, product image, payment, economic feasibility, fear of other people's reactions, and size. Six types of risk reduction behavior were also identified. These were product comparison, word-of-mouth information search, price search, preference for name-brand, service comparison, and referring to experiences. Next, a correlational analysis of the factors of risk perception and those of risk reduction behavior showed several patterns. The highest positive correlation was between economic risk perception and product comparison behavior. In addition, shipping risk perception was positively correlated with service comparison behavior and product quality and product image had a positive correlation with word-of-mouth information search behavior. Third, customers of internet shopping malls could be categorized into three groups: shipping risk perception group, high risk perception group, and product quality risk perception group. The groups were shown by factor analysis to be significantly different to each other. Finally, risk reduction behavior was investigated according to the different groups of risk perception of the internet shopping malls and the results showed significant differences among groups.

The purpose of this research is to study the semantic characteristics of men's cosmetics brand names by analyzing 51 brand names in the domestic market, so as to find ways to develop strategic brand names. In order to investigate this area, the study looked at the Interbrand Company's Name Spectrum, and the results are as follows. The men's cosmetics brand names turned out to be freestanding brand names, descriptive brand names, and associative brand names, in that order. The freestanding brand names were found to be the initial combinations of the words that have the desired benefits in the concepts of the pertinent brands; in other words, coined brand names that were made by synthesizing words such as nice men, naturalism, eco-friendly plant-derived materials and ideal skin. Associative brand names are generally used to express the effect of enhancing brand awareness by considering the phonetic image of the word or prompting a masculine and favorable image. Descriptive brand names use language symbols such as men, homme, man, monsieur and gentle to represent specific business and product categories for men, and also use stem, plant, flower, skin, beauty, moisturizing, tosowoong and so on to provide the properties and beneficial information related to the products. In conclusion, the men's cosmetics brand names embody an important factor that symbolizes the concepts, functions or features of the brand, and there is a need for men's cosmetic brands to develop more unique and distinctive brand names to promote their brand names as constitutional factors that can build brand power and strengthen brand image.
As modern society advances, women's self-consciousness and attitudes toward beautiful appearances have changed. Amid this trend, the young and slim body of adolescent girls expressed in contemporary fashion incites fantasy on continuing youth among women. In modern society, women's youth is frequently regarded as a subject of consumption and a sex product in the mass media. In this regard, the study is focused on examining desire and psychology of worshipping women's youth and beauty in connection with flapper fashion in the 1920s. In the process, the study took a look at the social and cultural background of flapper fashion and conducted an analysis on formative characteristics and aesthetic sense of flapper fashion as follows: First, the formative characteristics include a short skirt that expresses straight lined shape and the beauty of exposure, lighter clothing, thick make-up, short hair style and black or vivid colors, and they lead to exceptional and innovative aesthetic sense in flapper fashion. Flapper fashion style is focused on completely denying outdated fashion worn by women in the age right before. Second, pursuit of mature, graceful and classical beauty that had continued in previous ages has gone through complete changes in the flapper era in the name of pursuit of youth, and the flapper fashion expresses sensual image through the exposure of slim arms and legs of a young girl. In the formative characteristics, aesthetic sense of youth and sensuality inherent in the flapper fashion was generated. Third, women's free-spirited lifestyle at that time and 'aesthetic sense of freedom and amusement that reflected the speed of machine civilization could be found in the flapper fashion. Material and decoration of the flapper fashion pertained to clothing that enabled a free expression through rapid movements. Aesthetic sense of the flapper fashion generated in the process could be defined as women's internal determination to express individual and free-spirited ideas through the use of fashion when tradition and order of the old age were torn down. And this aesthetic sense is continuously affecting modern fashion design.

This study used text mining to extract 2,842 keywords from 7,397 product names and organized them into categories in order to analyze the characteristics of keywords appearing in the product names of jeans after 2020. The item category included denim and Chungbaji [청바지], and Ilja [일자], while the silhouette category included wide and bootcut. In addition, high-waist and banding comprised the making sector, and the materials category consisted of napping, spandex, and soft blue. Denim surpassed the others in frequency, co-occurrence frequency, and centrality, and co-appeared with various other keywords. Also, the co-appearance of item and silhouette was prominent, and there were many keyword combinations that showed characteristics related to (a) high waist; (b) hemline detail; (c) rubber band; and (d) partial tearing. Furthermore, idiom expressions such as 'slim fit' and 'back tearing', which were not highlighted in the co-occurrence frequency, were additionally confirmed through correlation. Therefore, the product name analysis effectively identified the detailed characteristics of the silhouette and the making of jeans preferred by consumers.

The purpose of this study was to clarify that the effect of consumer's perception of nail store attributes has on intent to revisit (focus on independent stores) by performing quantitative research. The importance of nail stores is increasing with sales amounts and the number of workers, however, previous research in this area is not complete. The reason that this qualitative research should be done before the quantitative research is due to the scant theoretical background in this matter. As the nail market is steadily increasing, determining the factors to make a successful and influential store leading to revisits is very meaningful both academically and in business. For the quantitative study, consumers from 20 years old to less 60 years old who had purchased nail service at independent nail stores were included in the survey. Quota sampling was adopted in the areas where the independent nail stores were located from May 10th to May 30th, 2019, and 262 questionnaires were collected, and those containing insincere respondences were excluded. The most important nail store attribute was reliability (store name value, relationship with workers and A/S) and then the physical environment, economics, product, and promptness. The result depended on demographic factors- younger and lower-income respondents put a premium on the physical environment, promptness, and economics, on the other hand, older and higher-income respondents placed a priority on reliability. The correlation analysis result is that all store attributes (reliability, physical environment, economics, promptness, product) show a statistical significance. A multiple regression analysis was conducted to determine the effects of nail store attribute importance on revisit intention. Promptness, economics, and the physical environment have a statistically significant effect on the consumer's revisit intention.

The purposes of this study were to examine online store attributes sought and evaluated by online shoppers and to compare those attributes with those of off-line stores. Data were obtained from an online questionnaire survey to 850 online shoppers who were randomly selected from the panel of an online survey agency, and 615 responses were analyzed. The t-tests revealed that there were significant differences on store attributes sought and evaluated by shoppers between online and off-line stores. Price related attributes (i.e., low price and reasonable price) and store name were more important for online stores while product related attributes (i.e., assortment, fashion, and brand) were more for off-line stores. Price related attributes, promotion, and entertainment were highly evaluated on online stores while product related attributes and service were on off-line stores.

The strength of the PB(Private Brand) is that it can eliminate intermediary in the distribution channel and thoroughly control the quality under its own name. This study has developed traditional studies on private brand proneness in approaching data processing and empirical point of view of a consumer's attitude buildup process on PB through 'recognition-attitude-action(behavioral attitude)'. The subjects of this study are consumers in their $20s{\sim}40s$ who are main customer groups of PBs. A screening process has taken place to select consumers with purchasing experiences of retailor PBs. The data is analyzed by 'Structural Equation Modeling' of Amos 5.0 to verify consumer attitude formation model on private apparel brand. The results generated from this study are as follows: First, the proposed consumer attitude model on private apparel brand consists of store evaluation, experiential product evaluation, cognitive product evaluation, hedonic attitude, utilitarian attitude and purchase intention. Second, not only positively influence on utilitarian attitude but hedonic attitude can arouse positive emotional reaction of a consumer. Third, the store evaluation is ahead of the product evaluation because PB is more related to the image of a store. The influence of the store on PB is relatively stronger when compared with NB.
This study measured the communication effect on the setting types and the exposure times to perform the effective PPL strategies. By the setting types(on-set and creative) and exposure times(short and long), 308 female older than 20 were divided into 4 experimental groups. Each groups were exposed to the edited movies and required to answer the questionaire. The data were analysed by SPSS 12.0 using Chi-Square, One-Way ANOVA and Duncan test. The results are as follows. First, in cognitive dimension, the on-set type and long exposure group showed the higher recognition and recall. Second, in emotional dimension, the signigicant difference was found in one brand(Kappa) of two which were used in the experiment. In this case, the on-set type and long exposure group showed the positive attitude toward the brand. Third, in behavioral dimension, there were no difference among the groups. The implications based on this results are as follows. First, when implementing of PPL the fashion brands in movies, the on-set type and long exposure would be the most effective method. Second, implementing IMC(Integrated Marketing Communication) linked to the PPL strategy can be more effective. In contrast to the other product categories, it is hard to recognize the brand of fashion goods if the logo or the brand name is not exposed directly. Therefore Combining other communication strategies such as press release simultaneously will birng the more effective result of PPL in the movie.
