The precipitation polymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) was carried out in a mixture solution of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and water at $50{\sim}65^{\circ}C$ using ${\alpha},{\alpha}'$-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as an initiator. The increased molecular weight polyacrylonitrile (PAN) was prepared with increasing the $H_2O$/DMSO ratio from 10/90 to 80/20. The viscosity average molecular weight of $H_2O$/DMSO solvent was 4.4 times larger than that of $H_2O$/DMF solvent, and precipitation polymerization was accelerlated due to the far decreased chain transfer effect of DMSO. Based on the experimental results, the increased PAN molecular weight was regarded as the summation of two mechanisms: i) particle-particle aggregation and ii) particle-radical attachment. The theoretical equation derived from the mechanisms was well coincided with the experimental results showing the linear relationship between the viscosity average molecular weight and the H2O/DMSO ratio.

According to the result of PISA and TIMSS, it was reported that interest for Math and Science was far lower compared to high achievement of Them. The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of robot based STEAM education on elementary school students' Math learning behavior and Science motivation. Robot based STEAM education integrated science, mathematics and art with a theme of 'Energy' was practiced for test group and For control group, those three subjects were taught separately in order to achieve this purpose. Curriculum of fourth grade second semester's science, mathematics and art was analysed to teach a robot based STEAM class and STEAM class Model with the theme 'Energy was designed and applied to elementary students. In science class, heat transfer experiment was conducted with robots and the result was related to drawing polygonal lines in mathematics. In art class, robot components were used to describe the heat energy in shapes and colors. The research shows that students' Math learning behavior and Science motivation were improved more with robot based STEAM education than with traditional lessons(p<.05). It proves that robot based STEAM class can be effective for improving interest in elementary Math and Science.
Flow Accelerated Corrosion is an active degradation mechanism of CANDU feeder. The tight bend downstream to Gray loc weld connection, close to reactor face, suffers significant wall thinning by FAC. Extensive in-service inspection of feeder wall thinning is very difficult because of the intense radiation field, complex geometry, and space restrictions. Development of a knowledge-based inspection program is important in order to guarantee that adequate wall thickness is maintained throughout the whole life of feeder. Research results and plant experiences are reviewed, and the plant inspection databases from Wolsong Units One to Four are analyzed in order to support developing such a knowledge-based inspection program. The initial thickness before wall thinning is highly non-uniform because of bending during manufacturing stage, and the thinning rate is non-uniform because of the mass transfer coefficient distributed non-uniformly depending on local hydraulics. It is obvious that the knowledge-based feeder inspection program should focus on both fastest thinning locations and thinnest locations. The feeder wall thinning rate is found to be correlated proportionately with QV of each channel. A statistical model is proposed to assess the remaining life of each feeder using the QV correlation and the measured thicknesses. W-1 feeder suffered significant thinning so that the shortest remaining life barely exceeded one year at the end of operation before replacement. W-2 feeder showed far slower thinning than W-1 feeder despite the faster coolant flow. It is believed that slower thinning in W-2 is because of higher chromium content in the carbon steel feeder material. The average Cr content of W-2 feeder is 0.051%, while that value is 0.02% for W-1 feeder. It is to be noted that FAC is reduced substantially even though the Cr content of W-2 feeder is still very low.
In some sections of the Seoul Metropolitan Subway, severe congestion can be observed during rush hours and on specific days. The subway operators have been conducting regular surveys to measure the level of congestion on trains: the results are then used to make plans for congestion reduction. However, the survey has so far focused just on train' congestion and has been unable to determine non-recurring congestion due to special events. This study develops an algorithm to estimate the platform congestion rate by time using individual public transportation card data. The algorithm is evaluated by comparison of the estimated congestion rate and the ground truth data that are actually observed at non-transfer subway stations on Seoul subway line 2. The error rates are within ${pm}2%$ and the performance of the algorithm is fairly good. However, varying walking times from gates to platforms, which are applied to both non-peak periods and peak time periods, are needed to improve the algorithm.

Simulation of flow past a complex marine structure requires a fine resolution in the vicinity of the structure, whereas a coarse resolution is enough far away from it. Therefore, a lot of grid cells may be wasted, when a simple Cartesian grid system is used for an Immersed Boundary Method (IBM). To alleviate this problems while maintaining the Cartesian frame work, we adopted an Adaptive Mesh Refinement (AMR) scheme where the grid system dynamically and locally refines as needed. In this study, We implemented a moving IBM and an AMR technique in our basic 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes solver. A Volume Of Fluid (VOF) method was used to effectively treat the free surface, and a recently developed Lagrangian Dynamic Subgrid-scale Model (LDSM) was incorporated in the code for accurate turbulence modeling. To capture vortex induced vibration accurately, the equation for the structure movement and the governing equations for fluid flow were solved at the same time implicitly. Also, We have developed an interface by using AutoLISP, which can properly distribute marker particles for IBM, compute the geometrical information of the object, and transfer it to the solver for the main simulation. To verify our numerical methodology, our results were compared with other authors' numerical and experimental results for the benchmark problems, revealing excellent agreement. Using the verified code, we investigated the following cases. (1) simulating flow around a floating sphere. (2) simulating flow past a marine structure.
In this study, we present a noble study far membrane transport models using chlorine resistance of polyamide RO membranes. Membrane transport mechanism is investigated by the comparison of membrane permeation performance under the continuous and Intermittent operation modes with mixed feed solution containing NaOCl and NaCl. Analysis of permeation performance indicates that solution-diffusion model and preferential adsorption-capillary flow model are relatively efficient according to operation mode. Under the continuous flow state, mass transfer depends on preferential adsorption-capillary flow model rather than solution-diffusion model. On the other hand, it prefers solution-diffusion model to preferential adsorption-capillary flow model under the stationary state. SEM images of NaOCl treated membrane surfaces strongly support these conclusions. These surface images reveal that NaOCl treated membrane in continuous operation mode exhibits ridge and valley structure in some fraction of the surface area, whereas that in intermittent operation mode shows surface degradation entirely.
Active galactic nuclei (AGNs) typically show a non-thermal continuum locally represented by a power-law and many prominent emission lines in the UV and optical regions. AGNs are classified by two types, where Type I AGNs exhibit both broad and narrow lines and only narrow lines are observed in Type 2 AGNs. The unification models of AGNs invoke the existence of a molecular torus just outside of the broad line region. In the presence of a high column HI region associated with the molecular torus, we propose that significant fraction of broad line photons near Lyman series can be scattered by atomic hydrogen in the torus. In particular, $Ly{\alpha}$ being the strongest emission line, strong linear polarization may develop around $Ly{\alpha}$ through Rayleigh scattering. We adopt a Monte Carlo technique to investigate the polarized transfer of $Ly{\alpha}$ in a thick HI region with the shape of a torus. We consider the range of HI column density N_HI = 1020-23 with fixed geometric parameters of the torus such as the inner and outer radii and the height. We present the polarized spectra and angular distribution of Rayleigh scattered radiation around $Ly{\alpha}$. We find that the $Ly{\alpha}$ core part is polarized in the direction perpendicular to the symmetry axis whereas in the far wing part it is polarized in the parallel direction. It is concluded that the unification of AGNs implies that $Ly{\alpha}$ can be uniquely polarized through Rayleigh scattering.

Baculovirus expression systems have many known advantages including fast and cost-effective methods to generate large amounts of recombinant proteins in comparison to bacterial expression systems, particularly those requiring complex post-translational modifications. Especially, recombinant baculoviruses can transfer their vectors and express their recombinant proteins in a wide range of mammalian cell types. In this study, baculoviral vectors which were reconstructed from pcDNA3.1 vector, were recombined with cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter, uroplakin II promoter, polyhedron promoter, vesicular stomatitis virus G (VSVG), enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP), and protein transduction domain (PTD). These recombinant vectors were infected with various cells and cell lines. The baculovirus vector thus developed was analyzed by comparing the metastasis and expression of the recombinant genes with conventional vectors. These results suggest that the baculovirus vector has higher efficiency in metastasis and expression than the control vector.

Owing to the digital revolution, Internet Commerce and Electronic commerce, revolutionize the way of doing business and making payment. The entrance of the Internet has a prominent for spread of Electronic Commerce and those phenomenons will result in paperless trading and cashless trade. By virtue of Internet, an increasing share of business transactions occurs online. Electronic payment is essential for the smooth progress of the electronic commerce as electronic payment plays the important role in the electronic commerce, that is, the value transfer restyling from the electronic commerce. Traditionally international settlement systems such as letters of credits, remittance and documentary collections operated as important and poplar method of payment, Now, information technology has made it possible to pay for the sale of goods and services over the internet. In international trade, there are service providers (bolero, TradeCard, BeXcom) to settle payment electronically through the Internet. The purpose of this study is to Conduct comparative analysis with approach manner functional respect systematic respect, role. It is shown which the Electronic payment system is better. In this study, the author attempts to find the problems is (bolero, TradeCard, BeXcom) and solutions in switching from the documentary payment system to the electronic one. This conclusion of this study can be summarized as followings. In resoect of the law, bolero should seek to prevert the users from being treated unfairly due to multilateral agreement on Rulebook. TradeCard, BeXcom do not have the proper law that users are governed. so far as the practice problems concerned, stability of computer's operation and security of message interchange should be warranted and improved continuously. Through the standardization of the electronic document and the development of software, the examination of the shipping occuments must be done automatically. Bolero should induce more banks to take part in Bolero, and make the carrier the cost and time in managing the traditional document which will be used for the time being. In respect of information technology and security, to deduce the risk in the electronic settlement system and positively uses the global authentication guideline(Identrus).
