색채 메이크업에 의한 얼굴이미지 연구 (A Study on the Face Image to Color of Make-up)

  • The purpose of this research is to study face images according to color of make-up was made by computer graphic simulation. The various facial images can be helpful for choosing suitable make-up color planning. In order to find out the differences of face images by make-up color, three different foundations and seven eye-shadows, six lips were applied on the round face model. Make-up Image Scale was used the scale of seven point modified the S-D method. Data were analyzed by Varimax perpendicular rotation method, Duncan's Multiple Range Test, Three-way ANOVA. As the result of make-up image perception analysis, a factor structure was divided into mildness, modernness, elegance, unique. The factor of mildness, modernness, unique affected on the foundation color. Foundation color was found out to be influential variable to distinguish color perception abilities. Also, the foundation, eye-shadow, lip color were influenced interactively on the perception of elegance factor. Pink color was important color, influenced on the mildness factor. Gray and purple color were influenced on the modernness factor. Mildness factor was perceived as the most bright foundation but unique factor was perceived as the most dark foundation. Then, the foundation, eye-shadow, lip color were influenced interactively on the perception of facial images. The results can be effectively applied to today's marketing and color design management which is focused on the product's emotional image in customer's mind.

시선 추적을 활용한 패션 디자인 인지에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fashion Design Cognition Using Eye Tracking)

  • This study investigated the cognitive process of fashion design images through eye activity tracking. Differences in the cognitive process and gaze activity according to image elements were confirmed. The results of the study are as follows. First, a difference was found between groups in the gaze time for each section according to the model and design. Although model diversity is an important factor leading the interest of observers, the simplicity of the model was deemed more effective for observing the design. Second, the examination of the differences by segments regarding the gaze weight of the image area showed differences for each group. When a similar type of model is repeated, the proportion of face recognition decreases, and the proportion of design recognition time increases. Conversely, when the model diversity is high, the same amount of time is devoted to recognizing the model's face in all the processes. Additionally, there was a difference in the gaze activity in recognizing the same design according to the type of model. These results enabled the confirmation of the importance of the model as an image recognition factor in fashion design. In the fashion industry, it is important to find a cognitive factor that attracts and retains consumers' attention. If the design recognition effect is further maximized by finding service points to be utilized, the brand's sustainability is expected to be enhanced even in the rapidly changing fashion industry.

Economical image stitching algorithm for portable panoramic image assistance in automotive application

  • In this study an economical image stitching algorithm for use in automotive industry is developed for retrofittable panoramic image assistance applications. The aim of this project is to develop a driving assistance system known as Panoramic Parking Assistance (PPA) which is cheap, retrofittable and compatible for every type of automobiles. PPA generates bird's eye view image using cameras installed on the automobiles. Image stitching requires to get bird's eye view position of the vehicle. Panoramic images are wide area images that cannot be available by taking one shot, attained by stitching the overlapping areas. To achieve correct stitching many algorithms are used. This study includes some type of these algorithms and presents a simple one that is economical and practical. Firstly, the mathematical model of a wide view of angle camera is provided. Then distorted image correction is performed. Stitching is implemented by using the SIFT and SURF algorithms. It has been seen that using such algorithms requires complex image processing knowledge and implementation of high quality digital processors, which would be impracticle and costly for automobile use. Thus a simpler algorithm has been developed to decrase the complexity. The proposed algorithm uses one matching point for every couple of images and has ease of use and does not need high power processors. To show the efficiency, images coming from four distinct cameras are stitched by using the algorithm developed for the study and usability for automotive application is analyzed.

Development of Retina Healthcare Service System Using Smart Phone

  • In this paper, we have developed a Retina Healthcare Service System through which the patient himself/herself can manage his/her retina health. In the case of conventional portable ophthalmic cameras, patients cannot check their eye health on their own because most of them are used by doctor in environments where ophthalmography cannot be performed properly. This system consists of web, app and camera modules, and when a patient mounts a camera module for fundus photography on his / her smart phone and then photographs his / her fundus through the app, the image is transmitted to a server, and the transmitted image reads the fundus the patient's fundus image status in the fundus image reading model learned using deep learning. When the doctor expresses his/her opinions about the patient 's eye condition based on the reading result and the fundus photograph, the patient can check through the app and judge whether to receive ophthalmologic treatment.

  • This study has analyzed the features of attention to spacial composition seen in "Seeing ${\leftrightarrow}$ Seen" Correlation of continuous move in the space. The eye-tracking was employed for collecting the data of attention features to the space so that the correlation between visual perception and space could be estimated through the attention features to the difference between spacial composition and display. First, it was confirmed that the attention features varied according to the structure of shops and the exposure degree of selling space, which revealed that, while causing the customers' less attention to both sides of shops, the vanishing-point structure characteristically made their eyes focused on the central part. Second, their initial observation activities were found to be active at the height of their eyes. Third, 10 images were selected as objects for continuous experiment. There was a concern that the central part of each image would be paid intense attention to during the initial observation, but only two of those were found to be so. Fourth, there had been a study result of eye-tracking experiment that the attention had been concentrated on the central part of the image first seen. This study, however, revealed that such phenomenon is limited to the first image. Accordingly, it is necessary to draw up such method for ensuring reliability in order to use the data acquired from any eye-tracking experiment as exclusion of the initial attention time to the first image or of unemployment of the initial image-experiment to analysis.

  • A new 3D integration technology using wafer-to-wafer and chip-to-wafer stacking method was described. It was demonstrated that 3D microprocessor, 3D shared memory, 3D image processing chip and 3D artificial retina chip fabricated using 3D integration technology were successfully operated. The possibility of applying 3D image processing chip and 3D artificial retina chip to Robot's eye was investigated. The possibility of implanting 3D artificial retina chip into human eye was investigated.

눈 검출 알고리즘에 대한 성능 비교 연구 (Comparative Performance Evaluations of Eye Detection algorithm)

  • 최근 생체 인식 분야나, HCI 분야 등에서 사람의 눈 영상 정보를 이용하여 홍채 인식을 하거나 시선위치 정보를 이용하는 연구가 활발히 진행 되고 있다. 특히 사용자의 편의성을 위한 원거리 카메라 기반시스템이 늘어나면서 눈 영상 촬영에 단순히 동공 중심 영역만 촬영 되는 것이 아니라, 눈썹, 이마, 피부영역 등 부정확한 검출을 일으킬 수 있는 요소가 포함되어 촬영되고 이러한 불필요한 요소들은 동공 중심영역의 검출 성능을 저하시킨다. 또한 앞서 얘기한 이용분야들은 실시간 환경에서 실행되는 시스템들로 정확한 검출 성능뿐만 아니라 빠른 실행시간도 요구 한다. 본 논문에서는 정확하고 빠른 눈동자 영역 검출을 위하여 기존에 가장 많이 사용하는 AdaBoost 눈 검출 알고리즘, 적응적 템플릿 정합+AdaBoost 알고리즘, CAMShift+AdBoost 알고리즘, rapid eye 검출 알고리즘에 대하여 분석하고, 조명변화와 콘택트 렌즈 및 안경 착용자와 미 착용자등 다양한 경우에 대해서 앞서 말한 알고리즘들을 적용하여 각 알고리즘 별로 정확도와 실행시간을 비교 분석하도록 한다.

스마트 폰에서 취득한 얼굴영상에서 아이라인 검출에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Eye-line Detection from Facial Image taken by Smart Phone)

  • 본 논문에서는 얼굴영상에서 눈과 아이라인을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 논문은 눈동자의 위치를 추출하는 것이 대부분이나, 본 논문에서는 눈의 위치뿐만 아니라 아이라인까지 추출함으로써 얼굴 응용분야에 다양하게 적용될 수 있다. 입력영상은 스마트폰 카메라로 정면을 찍은 얼굴 사진을 실험 자료로 하였으며, 기본적으로 영상은 1명의 얼굴로 제한하며, 배경은 어느 곳에서나 찍을 수 있고, 조명의 상태는 일정하지 않으며, 인종에 관한 제약은 없다. 제안하는 방법은 입력영상에서 Harr 분류기를 이용하여 얼굴후보영역 추출하고 얼굴 후보영역에서 눈의 위치 후보영역을 설정하였다. 눈의 후보영역에서 팽창연산을 이용하여 값이 큰 부분을 추출하고, 이 영상을 지역적인 이진화를 하여 눈과 눈썹을 분리하는 방법을 제안하였다. 그 후 Hsu가 제안한 EyemapC를 이용한 영상을 이진화하여 눈이 있는 부분과 눈이 없는 부분을 분리한 후, 그 눈의 윤곽선을 추출하고 최적타원 추정을 이용하여 아이라인을 검출하였다.

시선의 고정과 도약에 나타난 공간정보 탐색 특성 (Spatial Information Search Features Shown in Eye Fixations and Saccades)

  • This research is to analyze the spatial information search features which shown by Eye fixation and movement and conducted eye tracking experiment for targeting sports shop spatial images which it are same but looks different. This is able to find out the eye movement feature according to placement of goods from the eye movement and movement distance of spatial visitor, and the result can be defined as following. First, the whole original-reverse left / right images have a higher number of observations in the [IN] area than in the [OUT] area. This is because after eye taking high observations in LA area of [IN] have been jump-over [OUT], performed search activities in low eye fixation without high eye fixation. Second, there was a difference in the frequency of the observation data as the composition of the images changed. The original image has been often fixed the eyes in LA area, and the one that has been observed for a long time is reverse left / right image. Also, fixation point was shown higher at the reverse left / right image as jump-over from [OUT] area to [IN] area. If LA area seen as reverse left / right image, it is located in right-hand side. The case where the dominant area is on the right side has a characteristic that the eye fixation is longer. This can be understand that the arrangement of products for attract the customer's attention in the commercial space might be more effective when it is on the right side. Third, the moving distance(IN ${\rightarrow}$ OUT) of the sight pointed to external from LA area was long in the both original-reverse left / right images, but it is no relation with search direction([IN${\rightarrow}$OUT] [IN${\rightarrow}$OUT]) of the sight. In other words, the sight that entered in LA area can be seen as visual perception activity for re-searching after big jump-over, in the case go in to outward (OUT area) after searching for more than certain time. The fact that the moving distance of eye is relatively short in the [IN ${\rightarrow}$ OUT] process considered as that the gaze that stays outside the LA area naturally enters in to LA area.

눈 영상비를 이용한 운전자 상태 경고 시스템 (A Driver's Condition Warning System using Eye Aspect Ratio)

  • 본 논문은 교통사고 방지를 위한 운전자의 눈 영상비를 이용한 상태 경고시스템의 설계에 대해 소개하고 있다. 제안하는 운전자 상태 경고 시스템은 눈 인식을 위한 카메라, 카메라를 통해 들어오는 정보를 처리하는 라즈베리파이, 그리고 그 정보를 통해 운전자에게 경고를 줄 때 필요한 부저와 진동기로 구성되어 있다. 운전자의 눈을 인식하기 위해서 기울기 방향성 히스토그램 기술과 딥러닝 기반의 얼굴 표지점 추정 기법을 사용하였다. 동작을 시작하면, 시스템은 눈 주변의 6개의 좌표를 통해 눈 영상비를 계산한다. 그리고 눈을 뜬 상태와 감은 상태의 눈 영상비를 각각 계산한 후 이 두 값으로부터 눈의 상태를 판단하는데 사용하는 문턱 값을 설정한다. 문턱 값이 운전자의 눈 크기에 적응하면서 설정되기 때문에 시스템은 최적의 문턱 값을 사용하여 운전자의 상태를 판단할 수 있다. 또한 낮은 조도에서도 눈을 인식할 수 있도록 회색조 변환 이미지와 LAB모델 이미지를 합성하여 사용하였다.
