This study examines whether successful stand-alone firms have more difficulties than the successful firms affiliated to business groups in external financing. The easiness of external financing is measured by investment-cashflow multiple. Controlling the effects on the multiple of the past business performances and the expectation of future business performances, we investigate how the ownership type affects the multiple. The empirical results show that, when cashflows are positive, the stand-alone firms exhibit higher investment-cashflow mupltiples. When cashflows are negative, however, the opposite is true, even though the statistical significance of the result is rather low. These results do not support the general idea that stand-alone firms must have more disadvantage than subsidiary firms in raising funds from outside. If member firms of business groups have no big trouble financing externally, then the above results imply that stand-alone firms do not either identify external financing as a major difficulty in running business. Thus, if the government seeks to formulate the selective policies supporting only the promising start-ups, instead of the general policies benefiting random start-ups, then the start-up financing policy should have a lower priority.
The purpose of this study is to start from the recognition of the problem of why the sanctions of the international community could not indicate a great effect. In order to find answers to this question, this study focuses on China's aid to North Korea and analyzes the determinants of support for North Korea. Despite a tough international community's sanctions against North Korea, China has taken a dual stance on sanctions and support for North Korea. As for this dual attitude of China, this study approaches the internal and external situation of the support to the North with the rationale for the Two-level game theory. China's sanction against North Korea could be divided into two categories: external factors and domestic factors. These factors include strengthening supremacy in China, checking the US, playing a responsible role in China, securing resources in North Korea, sustaining stable growth in China, maintaining the legitimacy of China's socialist political system, and spreading the Beijing consensus. Based on the analysis of these factors, it could be expected that China's aid for North Korea will be official, informal, or continuous, and it will be difficult for the North to stop supporting North Korea or deteriorating North Korea- China relations.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of interprofessional education (IPE) and the efforts required to promote, popularize, and implement it in Korea. The IPE status of 40 medical colleges was investigated using a survey with questions regarding the details of IPE, the future plans and necessary support required, and the reasons for not implementing IPE. Thirty-two medical colleges responded, of which 10 are implementing or have implemented IPE. Most of these colleges started IPE in 2018, and the duration of IPE was less than 9 hours. All medical colleges held classes with nursing students. As for the type of IPE, there were independent courses for IPE, one-time special lectures, or partial sessions in one course. Lectures, discussions and presentations, role playing, and high-fidelity simulations were mainly used as educational methods. The support and interest of the dean was the most important facilitating factor. No medical colleges were currently preparing to implement IPE, four colleges had planned IPE but failed to implement it, and 16 had no plans for IPE at all. All medical colleges cited scheduling or cooperation with other majors as the most significant barrier. All the colleges listed their requirements for educational materials, cases, guidelines, and teaching and learning methods for IPE from external institutions. To activate IPE, it is necessary to create an appropriate atmosphere and conditions for developing IPE competencies and a model suitable for the domestic situation. External medical education support organizations should distribute IPE development guidelines and educational materials, form a network between medical colleges with IPE experience, and make efforts to promote the importance of IPE.

The alignment of propulsion shaft systems by the fair curve method has been developed over the past twenty years and in recent years its basic problems have been almost solved. At the present time, studies on introducing actual conditions are being undertaken. In a fair curve alignment, its aim is to achieve a stable shaft system which will be relatively insensitive to misalignment or the influence of external factors such as thermal variations due to the sunshine, speed change, etc. The key point of fair curve alignment is the calculations of reactions in the straight support and reaction influence numbers. The present authors have developed those calculating method by the matrix method of the three-moment theorem. The fair curve alignment is based on the analysis of propulsion shaft system which is assumed as a continous beam on multiple support points. The propeller shaft is divided into several elements. For each element, the nodal point equation is derived by the three-moment theorem. Reaction of supporting points of straight shaft and reaction influence numbers are calculated by the matrix calculation of each nodal point equation. It has been found that results of calculation for the model shaft agree well with those of experiment which had been measured by the strain gauge method. Results of calculation for the actual propulsion shafting of the steam turbine had been compared also with those of Det norske Vertas.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the impact of academic stress on depression suffered by college nursing students and the moderating effects of academic resilience. Methods: For this survey, 257 students (1st and 2nd year) participated, and it was performed over two weeks in September 2014. In this study, statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 18.0 for Windows and as a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The students' academic stress had a significant impact on their depression (${\beta}=.279$). The moderating effects of academic resilience did not have a significant impact, which is presumably as a result of there being more complex, nonlinear effects, rather than a simple, linear relationship between academic stress and resilience. Conclusion: It may be incorrect to assume that academic resilience is a moderating variable that lessens academic stress. It is implied that academic resilience can have a significant impact when internal and external support conditions are met, and that the effects can be reinforced when family support, a learning environment, and improved adaptability to life at school are also provided.
Recently, much attention is imposed on the design of the fuel assemblies in the Pressurized Light Water Reactor (PWR). Spacer grid is one of the main structural components in a fuel assembly. It supports fuel rods, guides cooling water and protects the system from the external impact loads. Various space grids have been proposed and new designs are also being created. In this research, a new spacer grid is designed by the axiomatic approach. The Independence Axiom is utilized for the design. For conceptual design, functional requirements (FRs) are defined and corresponding design parameters (DPs) are found to satisfy FRs in sequence. Overall configuration and shapes are determined in this process. Detail design is carried out based on the result of the axiomatic design. For the detail design, the system performances are evaluated by using linear and nonlinear finite element analysis. The dimensions are determined by optimization. Some commercial codes are utilized for the analysis and design.

Recently, much attention is imposed on the design of the fuel assemblies in the Pressurized Light Water Reactor (PWR). Spacer grid is one of the main structural components in a fuel assembly. It supports fuel rods, guides cooling water, and maintains a coolable geometry from the external impact loads. In this research, a new shape of the spacer grid is designed by the axiomatic approach. This paper reports on the application of the integration of mathematical programming model and database in a decision support system (DSS) for the planning of the multi-reservoir operating system. The DSS is based on a multi-objective, mixed-integer goal programming (MIGP) model, which can generate efficient solutions via the weighted-sums method (WSM). The major concern of this study is seamless, efficient integration between the mathematical model and the database, because there are significant differences in structure and content between the data for a mathematical model and the data for a conventional database application. In order to load the external optimization results on the database, we developed a systematic way of naming variable/constraint so that a rapid identification of variables/constraints is possible. An efficient database structure for planning of the multi-reservoir operating system is presented by taking advantage of the naming convention of the variable/constraint.

This paper presents improvement of consumer's access and convenience to Farmers Market(Local Food Shop). We analyzed case studies and proposed plans of Local Food Shop and related facilities. The results are described below. Thorough pre-education and public relations with extensive support for agricultural products in the area and external support are necessary. Most importantly, the consuming population was close. These factors were the factors of success. Tourists' visit is effective. Consumer distance should be within 10km. Long distance tourists need a way to attract tourists on weekends. It is an advantage that there are many consumers. And it would be nice to have a market in the vicinity. And it is necessary to develop various activities such as experience activities and programs. Also, a place convenient for cooperation with the government office, public health center, etc. is good. Accessibility is enhanced when ICs of frequent highway and highway are close to cars. As a suggestion of placing a direct sales place, we will set up a place for consumers to collaborate and relax and also consider the convenience of providers. For the convenience of consumers' shopping, including sales outlets, we set up booths for daily necessities and industrial products, and place other agricultural cooperatives (NACF banks), local cafes and farmer restaurants in front. Consider multifunction combined service center for consumers and farmers.
While North-South cooperation (NSC) continues to play a considerably dominant role in international development cooperation efforts, there is growing criticisms across the world as to the role and effectiveness of the NSC to support the developing countries to meet their development needs. As such, South-South cooperation (SSC) has become a subject of discussion in recent years across the world in international development and has increasingly become popular as an effective aid modality. However, there is unavailability of sufficient empirical studies about the efficacy of the SSC in the context of Bangladesh. The present paper attempts to examine two KOICA's projects to facilitate HRD in ICT in Bangladesh taking into consideration of Korea as a southern country. The study revealed that Korea's bilateral development cooperation efforts have been effective so far to fulfill their objectives. The findings of the study put forward that SSC may work in the form of technical cooperation to support the developing countries, provided that technical cooperation is demand-driven, and that there is sufficient level of absorptive capacity and supportive policy as well on the part of developing partner country to utilize external skills and technology.
