The concept of style including the external form and internal meaning provides a useful structure to clarify the historical phenomenon on dress. The purpose of this study was to explore surrealism related to the external form and internal meaning and the stylistic change of surrealism through 1930 and 1988 according the linked solution proposed by Brodsky. The results were as follows; 1. In terms of double roots including the external form and the internal meaning on the surrealism of dress, first, the external form was founded to be that each objects having symbolic meaning was dislocated from its original place to dress. Second, the aspects of internal meaning intended to represent not rational and external world but irrational as well as to reveal other nature of object or dress itself. 2. The change of surrealistic style on dress was characterised as "linked solution" change theory than cyclical change theory through the historical data from 1930 to 1988 of documentary sources.

The purpose of this thesis is to make clear particulartity of young adult generation which leads industry in their demands so that fashion trends are foresaw, and to describe style of costume satisfied with picture of new male. This thesis is to consider young adult style of costume in terms of double root described by W$\ddot{o}$lfflin in the internal meaning and the external form, so as to analyze their unique style. In conclusion, domestic young adult style of costume is embodied in the internal meanings of individuality, aestheticism and new classicism in terms of the external forms which means body-priority-form by open-form, whole-form, integration-form, rounded-form, indeterminate-form. With these results, domestic fashion industry is demanded to be from classic to modern expressions so as to be reflected in sophisticated masculinity of young adult.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the plank exercise to strengthen the core muscles on the muscle thickness of external and internal obliques and transverse abdominis muscle depending on the form of the support surface. Methods: This study was randomized to 12 males and 12 females in their 20s and conducted three times a week for 4 weeks. The subjects were divided into the two groups and performed flank exercise on a stable surface (stable surface group) and an unstable surface (unstable surface group). A mat was used as a stable surface, and an TOGU used as a unstable surface. Results : In both stable and unstable surface, the thickness changes of the transverse abdominis and external and internal oblique muscle increased (p<.05). In the unstable surface, there was a greater increase in the thickness change of the transverse abdominis and external oblique muscles in the flank exercise than in the stable surface (p.<05). Among them, the greatest increase was found in the external abdominal muscle (p<.05). Conclusion : This study found that the flank exercise was more effective in strengthening the abdominal muscles on an unstable surface, when compared with the outcomes on a stable one. It is also thought to have the most effect on the muscle activity of the external oblique muscle on unstable surface.

Ganui-Dae, built in the reign of King Sejong, Joseon Dynasty, is a comprehensive observatory. It has various instruments for observation and time signal such as Ganui, Gyupyo(Gnomon), water-hammering type Honui and Honsang, and so on. Studying on Ganui-Dae has been focused on its location, history, criterion, etc, so far. However, studying on its external form and construction method has been conducted insufficiently. This study suggests the model for restoration of Ganui-Dae. The model is based on the analysis about external form of Ganui-Dae in various antique maps, and its construction method in those days.

This study evaluated the external form of Rhodeus notatus TSV (transparent-scaled variant) type identified in Korea for the first time and compared it with that of the normal type. The TSV units newly found on Rhodeus notatus are iii10 of dorsal fin and anal fin iii10, which are similar to that in the normal type, considering the observing coefficient of each part's fins. The external form is, transparent enough to see the red gill filament in the operculum, the spiral digestive organ is observed opaquely, and numerous melanophores are stained at the upper part of abdomen. The coloration and scales are different between TSV type and normal type; however, there is no difference in the external form and meristic character.

The study is on the beauty of the line in the Cho-sun Costume. In the aspect of the Costume Aesthetics and Study of Clothing Design, I try to find the beauty of the line in the external form and the immanent beauty of the external line in the Cho-sun Costume. The results of the study is that : 1) The beauty of the line external form have ① the functional beauty of the line ② the beauty of drape line ③ combination of the line of internal and external structure. ④ the beauty of wearing with the Chi-ma. ⑤ the beauty of sharp line in the ornaments 2) The immanent beauty of the line in the Cho-sun Costume : There are a natural beauty found by the reason of nature, temperate beauty, simple beauty in the Cho-sun Costume.

This paper deals with frequency analysis of Euler-Bernoulli beams carrying an arbitrary number of Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic dampers, subjected to harmonic loads. Multiple external/internal dampers occurring at the same position along the beam axis, modeling external damping devices and internal damping due to damage or imperfect connections, are considered. The challenge is to handle simultaneous discontinuities of the response, in particular bending-moment/rotation discontinuities at the location of external/internal rotational dampers, shear-force/deflection discontinuities at the location of external/internal translational dampers. Following a generalized function approach, the paper will show that exact closed-form expressions of the frequency response under point/polynomial loads can readily be derived, for any number of dampers. Also, the exact dynamic stiffness matrix and load vector of the beam will be built in a closed analytical form, to be used in a standard assemblage procedure for exact frequency response analysis of frames.

This study examined the visual elements of the Trompe l'oeil design and the combination conditions of each element in order to deduce the form generation diagrams of Trompe l'oeil fashion design. The following is what the study found: First, Trompe l'oeil fashion design can be divided into two based on its subject: 'the combination of internal elements of dress' and 'the combination of external elements of dress'. Looking at the visual components of each type, depending on the subject, 'the combination of internal elements of dress' design was achieved by combining internal dress elements: including textile, detail, item, accessory, layering, etc.. In case of 'the combination of external elements of dress' design, the object of Trompe l'oeil was expanded in scope to environment, which includes the actions of a wearer. Second, as for Trompe l'oeil fashion design through the combination of external dress elements, the condition to combined visual components of the work in the process of creation was related to 'the popularity of object', 'the similarity of shapes and sizes', and 'the probability of location'. Third, deriving a form generation diagrams of Trompe l'oeil fashion design was very effective in delineating specific relationships and conditions, directions among elements combined in fashion design.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the preference determinants of buddhist temple food(BTF) and leaded to its activation based on these results. 354 subjects were participated in the survey using questionnaires. 66.9% of subjects had over the normal interest. The taste of BTF was light(34.7%) and it would be helpful in their health(72.9%), subjects answered. Lightness and not strong taste was the main reason of preferring BTF(50.8%), but lack of nutrients was dislike reason of BTF generally. According to factor analysis, the factors of preference determinants deduced as the external form, social environment, health, essential quality and information of food. There were not significantly different between factors by sex and family form. External form, health and essential quality of food had the significant difference by generation and education level. The factors of external form and the essential quality of food showed the significant difference by job. According to the monthly income, the factor of social environment, health and information of food had the significant difference.

The existence and uniqueness of steady states for the age structured S-I-R epidemic model is considered. Intercohort form with external force is considered for the force of infection. Existence is obtained for nonvanishing external force of infection. Uniqueness is shown for the case where there is no vertical transmission of the disease.
