External cost is cost imposed on a third party when producing or consuming a good or service. Since the 1990s, the external costs of nuclear powered electricity production have been studied. Costs are a very important factor in policy decision and the external cost is considered for cost comparison on electricity production. As for nuclear fuel cycle, a chosen technology will determine the external cost. However, there has been little research on this issue. For this study, methods for external cost on nuclear power production have been surveyed and analyzed to develop an approach for evaluating external cost on nuclear fuel cycles. Before the Fukushima accident, external cost research had focused on damage costs during normal operation of a fuel cycle. However, accident cost becomes a major concern after the accident. Various considerations for external cost including accident cost have been used to different studies, and different methods have been applied corresponding to the considerations. In this study, the results of the evaluation were compared and analyzed to identify methodological applicability to the external cost estimation with nuclear fuel cycles.

Objectives : The purpose of this review study is to identify clinical indications of Hwangryunhaedok-tang(HHT) external application and to suggest directions for future research and treatment by analyzing domestic cases applying HHT external treatment except for pharmacopuncture research. Methods : We searched 235 studies published in Korean since 2000 from four domestic databases: Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System(OASIS), Research Information Sharing Service(RISS), Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal(KTKP), and Korean studies Information Service Systems(KISS) using keywords such as 'HTT and external use', 'HHT and external agent' 'HHT and wet dressing', or 'HHT and case'. We excluded duplicate papers, papers related to acupuncture including pharmacopuncture, or papers not related to the topic. Results : We selected and analyzed seven case reports. HHT external agent was used alone in one case, as main treatment in two cases, and as adjuvant treatment in four cases. HHT external application was applied to various skin diseases accompanied by inflammation mainly in the form of wet dressings. Conclusion : HHT external agent may be effective on various skin diseases accompanied by inflammation when applied alone or in combination with other agents according to the treatment stage. Based on this results, further studies will be needed to establish the primary clinical indication of HHT external agent.

For this study, the external laryngeal lengths of 9 females and 9 males with normal voices were measured together with their ages, heights, and weights, and after they read aloud sentences for 3 minutes, their habitual speaking fundamental frequencies, speaking low pitches, speaking high pitches, and vocal fold closed quotients were measured. The Spearman rank correlation analysis on these data showed a significant negative correlation between the external laryngeal length and the habitual speaking fundamental frequency for both females and males, a significant negative correlation between the external laryngeal length and the speaking high pitch for only males, a significant negative correlation between the external laryngeal length and the speaking low pitch for both females and males, and a significant positive correlation between the external laryngeal length and the vocal fold closed quotient for only males.

The Eurocode system provides limited information regarding the structural fire design of external steel structures. Eurocode 1 provides thermal action for external member but only in steady-state conditions. On the other hand, Eurocode 3 provides a methodology to determine heat transfer to external steelwork, but there is no distinction in cross section shapes and, in addition, the calculated temperature distribution is assumed to be uniform in the cross section. This paper presents the results of a research carried out to develop a new transient heat transfer model for external steel elements to improve the current approach of the Eurocodes. This research was carried out as part of the project EXFIRE "Development of design rules for the fire behaviour of external steel structures", funded by the European Research Programme of the Research Fund for Coal and Steel (RFCS).

External social support for family can be an important resource for families to overcome economic pressure, and can be a way to understand the concept and process of family resilience in the context of Korean economic crisis. To explore the role of external social support that alleviates the negative effects of economic pressure on marital satisfaction, the buffering effects were tested in two ways. First, the interaction effect between external social support and economic pressure on marital satisfaction was tested using hierarchical linear regression model. Second, the scores of marital satisfaction were plotted by the median scores of economic pressure and external social support. Results from the analyses of 191 couples (382 husbands and wives) indicated that external social support help families by buffering the negative effects of economic pressure on marital satisfaction by interacting with economic pressure.

External barrier options are two-asset options with stochastic variables where the payoff depends on one underlying asset and the barrier depends on another state variable. The barrier state variable determines whether the option is knocked in or out when the value of the variable is above or below some prescribed barrier level. This paper derives the explicit analytic solution of the chained option with an external single or double barrier by utilizing the probabilistic methods - the reflection principle and the change of measure. Before we do this, we examine the closed-form solution of the external barrier option with a single or double-curved barrier using the methods of image and double Mellin transforms. The exact solution of the external barrier option price enables us to obtain the pricing formula of the chained option with the external barrier more easily.

The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual conditions of external space of middle and high schools in Gyeongnam Area. This article discuses about the characteristics of the external space and the site plan type of 49 middle and high schools in Gyeongnam Area. The result of analysis about site plan type, composition state of external space and area ratio of its composition of each middle and high school facilities are as follows: In facilities arrangement of middle and high schools, it shows diverse forms of arrangement from existing uniform straight type, however, most of schools do not being against the simple in their external space. Especially, for the area is small in the composition of external space, a playground is only under $50m{\times}80m$ and outdoor learning space or resting space is not secured sufficiently. Therefore, it requires an expansion of space size and facilities for the change of school life outside class.

Due to deterioration of bridge, usually be using the external prestressing method among repair reinforcement method. But, there is much to be desired about a detailed account, almost it has analysed by cambers of girders, deflections of middle span and upper, bottom stresses of girders. Also, it is not examined closely that effect of internal prestress by external prestressing. The purpose of this study is confirmed the effect of internal tendons by external prestressing, estimation of additional external prestressing force and look for exact external prestressing force.

Idiopathic external root resorption is an apparently infrequently occurrence involving single or multiple teeth. Presented is an unusual case of multiple external root resorption associated with craniopharyngioma. Although the cause of this resorption was not determined, several possibilities are discussed. The literature to a systemic etiology for external root resorption is briefly reviewed.
