박막형 소음기의 주파수 특성 (Frequency Characteristics of a Membrane Duct)

  • Theoretical analysis of noise reduction by a membrane-duct system is presented. When acorn waves propagate in the membrane-duct, the membrane is also excited and its motion is coup with interior medium. It has been shown that propagating waves with supersonic wave speed exist beyond a certain critical frequency that is determined from the mass ratio of the me and the fluid. Also found are subsonic waves which couple strongly wi th the membrane a provide a powerful mechanism of energy dissipation. Existence of an exterior medium alter dispersion characteristics. It provides additional mass loading and reduces the subsort speed further. The effect of mean flow speed on dispersion characteristics is also consider results show that the membrane-duct system can be applied to diminish and absorb 1 frequency noise in duct instead of passive muffler, such as a simple expansion chamber absorption material.

승용차 후향거울 주위의 3차원 유동특성 해석 (A Study on Flow Analysis of Exterior Rear View Mirror of Passenger Car)

  • In order to satisfy customer's requirements of ride comfort and high performance, it is necessary for designers to fully understand vehicle aerodynamics and wind noise of newly produced cars because characteristics of flow and wind noise are heavily dependent on each other. In this study numerical and experimental study have been carried out to analyse the effect of flow characteristics at around of rear view mirror on wind noise and soiling on the front S/W. As a result, it's found that the spiral flow mear the front pillar is weakened and spreaded because rear view mirror obstructs the flow. It is also shown that there is abrupt change of gradient of separa- tion line, separation area, intensity of spiral flow and turbulent kinetic energy with varying shape of neck and housing of rear view mirror.

  • A noise transfer function(NTF) is the frequency response function between an input force applied to an exterior point of a vehicle body and the resultant interior sound pressure usually measured at the driver's ear position. It represents the measure of noise sensitivity for the output force transmitted to the joints between the body and chassis. The principle of vibro-acoustic reciprocity is often utilized in the measurement of NTF. One difficulty in using the volume source is that most of the previously proposed methods require the knowledge of the volume velocity of the acoustic source in advance. A new method proposed in the present work does not require any calculation related with the volume velocity of the acoustic source, but still yields even more accurate results both in the amplitude and phase of the NTF. In the present work, the new method is applied to obtain NTF data for a midsize sedan.

  • A Systematic approach to estimate an interior noise level for a railway passenger car has been proposed. The prediction is based on the sound power values obtained from measured sound pressure lever, when a high speed train runs at 300km/hr. Then, the exterior sound pressure value is calculated by using the BEM code. After that, an interior sound lever is estimated, considering the transmission loss of body structures and absorption effect inside of the train. In this application, the estimated noise level is between 66 dBA and 74 dBA. The proposed approach could be useful for rough estimation of a noise level inside a passenger car at the design stage, a]though the method has some limitation to be implement for a general situation.

  • In this paper, Power Flow Boundary Element Method(PFBEM) is studied as the numerical method for the vibration and sound predictions of complex structures in medium-to-high frequency ranges. NASPFA, the sound analysis software based on PFBEM, is developed and is used for the vibro-acoustic analysis. And also the developed software is used for the prediction of interior and exterior sound fields of vibrating structures and for the analysis of the multi-domain problems. To verify the accuracy, NASPFA is applied to the prediction of the energy distribution in the simple structures, and its results are compared with exact PFA solutions. And various practical vehicle systems are modeled and the distributions of the acoustical energy density are successfully predicted.

  • For the accurate evaluation of traffic noise with various spectrums and fluctuation characteristics, evaluation systems should reflect not only physical quantities but also the psychological respects of individual persons. In this study, adequate words for evaluating traffic noise have been extracted by reviewing the existing vocabularies and augmenting this with the results of a questionnaire prepared especially for apartment dwellers. As a result of this study, followings are suggested. 1) Vocabularies such as 'disagreeable', 'annoying', 'strident', 'disturbed', 'irritate', 'unpleasant', 'dislike' are classified into the first factor by factor analysis. 2) As a result of surveying overlapping vocabularies for each sound sources, 'noisy', 'annoying', strident', 'unpleasant', 'loudness' are main unpleasant vocabularies to franc noise occurring in our domestic apartment houses.

  • Recently Permanent Magnet Linear Synchronous Motors(PMLSMs) are widely used for many linear transportation applications. The PMLSM has many advantages such as simple structure, high speed and thrust. However, especially in short primary type PMLSM, there exists very large detent force, which makes the thrust force ripple, undesired vibration and noise. The detent force is composed of the Cogging force and the End force. The Cogging force comes from the interaction between the permanent magnets and interior teeth of the stator. And the End force acts on the exterior teeth of the stator by the permanent magnets. Usually End force is larger than Cogging force, so the detent force is drasically reduced only by reducing the End force. This paper shows the End force is minimized by optimizing the stator length and chamfering the shape of the exterior teeth of the stator.

  • The revised legislation is introduced that the extension of the balcony area for the apartment houses is allowed. In the past the tenants had to install them illegally by themselves when they wanted to extend their balcony. We have reviewed the standard of the balcony's windows to be set up for them because the contractors can construct the exterior windows. At present, the detailed capacity standard for them is not established Of course some items of them are classified within five capacities among the KS standards. But the standard of the extensional balcony windows are not defined. Therefore this study is aimed at setting up the criteria of the noise, insulation and leak for the window system in expanding the balcony area and adopting it into window's works.

트리즈를 이용한 에어컨디셔너 프레임구조 설계 (Design of Air-Conditioner Frame Structure Using TRIZ Based Contradiction Analysis)

  • The metal is frequently used in the air-conditioner frame, which must have the durability from the various external environments, but has difficulties in being manufactured for many complex shapes. On the other hand, the plastic, used as a material of injection molding, enables the realization of various shapes and the mass-production of complex ones and leads low production cost. As the air-conditioner frame becomes increasingly complex and detailed, the plastic material is highlighted as an alternative for the frame. But the product molded by plastic with a complex shape might have a noise problem. Therefore this study attempts to design the product through TRIZ in order to reduce the noise of the air-conditioner with the frame of plastic material.

차음성능 향상을 위한 발코니 창호의 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation for Improvement of the Sound Insulation of Balcony Window in Apartment)

  • Recently, the interest on the comfortable dwelling environment is increasing and the effort to solve the problem of exterior noise was tried. The propose of this study is to suggest the design of balcony window in apartment and to evaluate the sound insulation of it. So, we designed five types of balcony window which were considered not only sound insulation but ventilation. The sound reduction index of window was evaluated by the measurement in mock-up room. The results showed that case 2 improved about 6 dB in the weighted apparent sound reduction index than case 1, and case 3 reduced about $39 \%$ in construction cost than case 4.
