  • Now, the goal of the third generation KTX project is to create a new species of high speed train in order to open a new era of high speed railway system in history by authentic Korean technology and innovative design. Now the third generation KTX, must go beyond the original stagnant paradigm and be positioned as an emotional resource which is creating a shift in the public's perspective of transportation and expanding the idea that transportation intersects the two distinct realms of culture and environment as well. In addition, the overall design should reflect the Korean culture and characteristics, simple yet resonant, both the interior space and the exterior fuselage should portray the dynamic heritage of Korea such as the powerful yet subdued energy of Jung Joong Dong. In short, through the symbolic in Korean, Dong(Dynamics), Mek(Pulse), Ryu(Flow), Gam(Sensibility), the third generation KTX design project aims to create an new identity of Korean high speed railway which can stand globally.

  • Building skins are expanding even beyond theirfunctions as a simple boundary between the exterior and interior and into the realm of linguistic functions thanks to the development of media art. LED has been used as material on outer walls following the advancement of building materials, so the outerskins of large buildings are evolving into a messenger of language capable of communication. In big cities, buildings send out video images to enable communication between people and architecture, which plays a huge role in determining the identity of a building beyond simple advertising. Such media fa?ade technologies can be understood based on the concept of outerskin change, which refers to the idea that animals change the colors or textures of their skins to show their various states. In addition, various message delivery functions in human clothes should be included in such a discussion. We need to research on the possibilities of seeing media facades for their information delivery function and expanding them into information delivery between buildings as well as just between buildings and people.

  • Curtain wall means a non-bearing wall that forms the outer walls of a building to divide the exterior and interior space. The increased use of curtain walls is diverse, including structural safety, watertightness, and wind pressure. As the government's energy conservation policy and the aim of zero-energy houses, the importance of heat reduction is also greatly increased. So, the study of monotony is constantly being conducted. Thus, in this study, insulation performance was analyzed through simulation according to the shape of curtain wall and the shape of insulation inside, and the purpose of this study was to provide basic data on the application of insulation criteria by energy saving design of buildings.

  • Landslide is a natural disaster frequently noticed In korea during monsoon season in flicting nationwise damages on human lives, properties, transportation networks, construction sites, etc. This study is about landslide characteristic in rainfall. This study selects seven sites that occured in 2001 and 2002. So elect areas divide and studied special quality by carcinoma by igneous rock, metamorphic rock, sedimentary rock. According to study finding, because igneous rock area is very thin into 1m interior and exterior soil layer, failures happened much rock and soil interface. There was place that depth of soil layer becomes about 2∼3m being area that receive serious weathering case of metamorphic rock. Therefore, at collapse much debriflow occurrence expect. Case that sedimentary rock area is broken through stratification looked. When see such results, it may become many helps to study characteristics of landslide occurrence area grasping collapse special quality by rock type.

  • The study is focused on making space of the abolished primary school for college dormitory in rural area which has regional type nearby city. We, firstly, analysed regional conditions and then surveyed various data for space conditions of dormitory. By surveying exterior space and interior renovation, and analysing the actual conditions of dormitory, we propose design factors and model of using facilities of the abolished primary school. So, the purpose of it is to suggest making space and a model of dormitory utilization of abolished school in regional type nearby city. It is a spacial case of re-using facilities of abolished school in rural area, but we expect that abolished school make an offer another type of using facilities.

Four Case Studies of Climacteric Disorders with Sasang Constitutional Medicine (갱년기장애의 사상의학적 치험 4례)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy of Sasang constitutional herb medicine for the treatment in postmenopausal women having various complaints. Methods From December 2016 to July 2017, four cases of women having climacteric complaints were extracted. Results Their main symptoms were hot flush, insomnia, sweating, cold sensation, and excitation. Their Sasang constitutional types were 2 Soyangin and 2 Taeeumin. Main symptomology of Soyangin was Chest-heat congested symptomology and that of Taeeumin was Esophagus-cold symptomology or Esophagus-cold Lung-dry Symptomology. Conclusions Their symptomolgies of Soyangin and Taeeumin lied in the Interior disease rather than Exterior disease, in the Advanced disease rather than Mild disease. It could show that Sasang constitutional medicine and management is possible to be indicated in climacteric disorders.

Transfer matrix method for solution of FGMs thick-walled cylinder with arbitrary inhomogeneous elastic response

  • This paper presents a numerical solution for the thick cylinders made of functionally graded materials (FGMs) with a constant Poisson's ratio and an arbitrary Young's modulus. We define two fundamental solutions which are derived from an ordinary differential equation under two particular initial boundary conditions. In addition, for the single layer case, we can define the transfer matrix N. The matrix gives a relation between the values of stress and displacement at the interior and exterior points. By using the assumed boundary condition and the transfer matrix, we can obtain the final solution. The transfer matrix method also provides an effective way for the solution of multiply layered cylinder. Finally, a lot of numerical examples are present.

  • Objectives : The Syndromes of Daecheongryongtang (大靑龍湯證) and Mahwangtang (麻黃湯證) are similar in pathogenesis. However, both syndromes have a different pathogenesis. So we will try to distinguish the difference between the two syndromes. In addition, we'll see about 40 provision. Methods : Examine the claims of the syndrome of Daecheongryongtang in "Sang Han Lon" (傷寒論). The scholar's claims are not all same. Thus, we analysis the claims of many scholars. Results and Conclusions : The Syndromes of Daecheongryongtang and Mahwangtang are similar in pathogenesis. However, the Syndrome of Daecheongryongtang is different from that the sweat purgations in exterior of the body caused by heat in the interior. The pathogenesis of 39 and 40 provisions are different. 40 provision is more severe symptoms than 39 provision in the stagnation. So 40 provision used the term "fazhi (發之)".

  • In this paper, an automatic lighting control system is developed using microprocessor. The developed system consists of a digital lighting control unit, an analog lighting control unit, and a lighting control simulator. In the developed system, ATMega128 is used as the main controller. The developed digital lighting control unit consists of eight modules and the developed analog lighting control unit consists of six modules respectively. Additional, the developed simulator consists of a digital and an analog lighting control simulation using graphic user interface. And so this developed system can be applied to the controller design of the interior and exterior lighting equipment.

  • Power cable of an AC arc welder can surround a body of worker at the moment of welding. Applying the boundary element method, we calculated current densities induced in organs inside a worker in case he weared a multi-layer shielding cloth. We know these were lowest when high permeability materials such as silicon and permalloy were applied to the interior of a suit and high conductivity materials such as copper were to the exterior.
