  • The most important problem in traget tracking can be said to be modeling the tracking system correctly. Although the simple linear dynamic equation for this model has used until now, the satisfactory performance could not be obtained owing to uncertainties of the real systems in the case of designing the filters based on the dynamic equations. In this paper, we propose the extended robust Kalman filter(ERKF) which can be applied to the real target tracking system with the parameter uncertainties. To solve the robust nonlinear fettering problem, we derive the extended robust Kalman filter equation using the Krein space approach and sum quadratic constraint. We show the proposed filter has better performance than the existing extended Kalman filter(EKF) via 3-dimensional target example.

  • The automatic target detection which automatically identifies the location of the target with its input image is one of the significant subjects of image processing field. Then, there are some problems that should be solved to detect the target automatically from the input image. First of all, the ambiguity of the boundary between targets or between a target and background should be solved and the target should be searched adaptively. In other words, the target should be identified by the relative brightness to the background, not by the absolute brightness. In this paper, to solve these problems, a new algorithm which can identify the target automatically is proposed. This algorithm uses the set of fuzzy for solving the ambiguity between the boundaries, and using the weight according to the brightness of data in the input image, the target is identified adaptively by the relative brightness to the background. Applying this algorithm to real images, it is experimentally proved that it is can be effectively applied to the automatic target detection.

  • In recent emerging industry, Display field becomes bigger and bigger, and also semiconductor technology becomes high density integration. In Flat Panel Display, there is an issue that electrostatic phenomenon results in fine dust adsorption as electrostatic capacity increases due to bigger size. Destruction of high integrated circuit and pattern deterioration occur in semiconductor and this causes the problem of weakening of thermal resistance. In order to solve this sort of electrostatic failure in this process, Soft X-ray ionizer is mainly used. Soft X-ray Ionizer does not only generate electrical noise and minute particle but also is efficient to remove electrostatic as it has a wide range of ionization. X-ray Generating efficiency has an effect on soft X-ray Ionizer affects neutralizing performance. There exist variable factors such as type of anode, thickness, tube voltage etc., and it takes a lot of time and financial resource to find optimal performance by manufacturing with actual X-ray tube source. MCNPX (Monte Carlo N-Particle Extended) is used for simulation to solve this kind of problem, and optimum efficiency of X-ray generation is anticipated. In this study, X-ray generation efficiency was measured according to target material thickness using MCNPX under the conditions that tube voltage is 5 keV, 10 keV, 15 keV and the target Material is Tungsten(W), Gold(Au), Silver(Ag). At the result, Gold(Au) shows optimum efficiency. In Tube voltage 5 keV, optimal target thickness is $0.05{\mu}m$ and Largest energy of Light flux appears $2.22{\times}10^8$ x-ray flux. In Tube voltage 10 keV, optimal target Thickness is $0.18{\mu}m$ and Largest energy of Light flux appears $1.97{\times}10^9$ x-ray flux. In Tube voltage 15 keV, optimal target Thickness is $0.29{\mu}m$ and Largest energy of Light flux appears $4.59{\times}10^9$ x-ray flux.

  • A new approach to the maneuvering target tracking problem is proposed. Its basic concept is to take the maneuver variable from the measurements. Tracking scheme based on the Kalman filter estimates the maneuver varieble from the residual and uses the estimates to update the Kalman filter. The estimation process is independent of target types and a model of the maneuver characteristics. All the filtering algorithms are processed in polor coordinate. Simulation results are presented and compared to that of the extended Kalman filter.

  • In this study, we investigate the relative effectiveness of the two types of brand extensions (sequential extensions vs. direct extensions) in dissimilar extensions and examine the moderating role of two key variables - brand concept(functional brand vs. symbolic brand) and price of target extension product(low vs. high). The results from two experiments show that consumers evaluate the target extension product more favorably when brand is extended sequentially to dissimilar categories than when it is extended directly. However, the difference of target extension product evaluation between sequential extensions and direct extensions decrease when brand is symbolic and price of target extension product is high. Theoretical and managerial implications of the finding are discussed and inplications for future research are suggested.

  • In this paper, a new extended JPDA (Joint Probabilistic Data Association) tracking algorithm which has more excellent performance than that of the conventional JPDA algorithm in case of the tracking of crossing targets is proposed. In the proposed extended JPDA algorithm, the velocity parameters as well as the position parameters are included to compute the association probabilities between tracks and measurement data. Then the tracking performance of crossing targets is improved and the track bias of parallel moving targets can be reduced. Accordingly, in this paper, the new extended JPDA algorithm for multitarget tracking is proposed and its good performance is shown through the computer simulation. And, tracking performance of extended JPDA algorithm is also compared with that of JPDA algorithm with our noise model.

The killing activity of antibody activated CD$4^+$T cells was completely blocked by herbimycin A, a protein tyrosine kinase (PTK) inhibitor, but not by bisindolylamaleimide, a protein kinase C (PKC) inhibitor. Herbimycin A treated human or bovine peripheral blood CD$4^+$T cells lacked PTK activity and failed to kill virally infected target cells even after cross-linking of CD4 molecules. The CD$4^+$cross-linking failed to induce effector cell proliferation or the transcription of TNF${\beta}$ Upregulation of TNF${\beta}$ was induced by incubating the antibody activated effector cells with BHV-1 infected D17 target cells for 10 h. Anti-TNF${\beta}$ antibody partially abolished (13-44%) the direct effector cell-mediated antiviral cytotoxicity. However, this antibody neutralized 70 to 100% of antiviral activity of effector and target cell culture supernatants against BHV-1 infected D17 cells. The inhibition level of the antiviral activity by the antibody was dependent on the effector and target cell ratio. These results support the hypothesis that increased p$56^ICK enzyme activity in effector cells transduces a signal critical for effector cell recognition of viral glycoproteins expressed on the target cells. • In this paper, we propose the design methodology of target tracking system using fuzzy basis function expansion(FBFE) based on virus evolutionary genetic algorithm (VEGA). In general, the objective of target tracking is to estimate the future trajectory of the target based on the past position of the target obtained from the sensor. In the conventional and mathematical nonlinear filtering method such as extended Kalman filter(EKF), the performance of the system may be deteriorated in highly nonlinear situation. To resolve these problems of nonlinear filtering technique, by appling artificial intelligent technique to the tracking control of moving targets, we combine the advantages of both traditional and intelligent control technique. In the proposed method, after composing training datum from the parameters of extended Kalman filter, by combining FDFE, which has the strong ability for the approximation, with VEGA, which prevent GA from converging prematurely in the case of lack of genetic diversity of population, and by idenLifying the parameters and rule numbers of fuzzy basis function simultaneously, we can reduce the tracking error of EKF. Finally, the proposed method is applied to three dimensional tracking problem, and the simulation results shows that the tracking performance is improved by the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we introduce MDA based Development Method for Embedded Software Component. This method applies MDA approach to solve problems about reusability of the heterogeneous embedded software system. With our proposed method, we produce 'Target Independent Meta Model'(TIM) which is transformed into 'Target Specific Model'(TSM) and generate 'Target Dependent Code' (TDC) via TSM. We would like to reuse a meta-model to develop heterogeneous embedded software systems. To achieve this mechanism, we extend xUML to solve unrepresented elements (such as real things about concurrency, and real time, etc) on dynamic modeling of the particular system. We introduce 'MDA based Embedded S/W Modeling Tool' with extended XUML. With this tool, we would like to do more easily modeling embedded or concurrent/real time s/w systems. It contains two examples of heterogeneous imbedded systems which illustrate the proposed approach.

  • In the case where both a camera and a target are moving at the same time, the image background is successively changed, and the overlap with other moving objects is apt to be generated. The snake algorithms have been variously used in tracking the object, but it is difficult to be applied in the excessive overlap with other objects and the large bias between the snake and the target. To solve this problem, this paper presents an extended snake model. It includes an additional energy function which considers the temporal variation rate of the snake's area and a SSD algorithm which generates the template adaptive to the snake detected in the previous frame. The new energy function prevents the snake from over-shrinking or stretching and the SSD algorithm with adaptively changing template allows the prediction of the target's position in the next frame. The experimental results have shown that the proposed algorithm successfully tracks the target even when the target is temporarily occluded by other objects.
