Degree distribution can provide basic information for structural characteristics and internal relationship in social network. It is a critical procedure for social network topology analysis. In this paper, based on the mean-field theory, we study a special type of social network with exponential distribution of time intervals. First of all, in order to improve the accuracy of analysis, we propose a spreading coefficient algorithm based on intimate relationship, which determines the number of the joined members through the intimacy among members. Then, simulation show that the degree distribution of follows the power-law distribution and has small-world characteristics. Finally, we compare the performance of our algorithm with the existing algorithms, and find that our algorithm improves the accuracy of degree distribution as well as reducing the time complexity significantly, which can complete 29.04% higher precision and 40.94% lower implementation time.
This study presents a methodology for simulating a unified approach that controls interaction force between tool and objective by using a synthesis method of robot interacting control law for stabilizing the transient process of motion. Root locus is used to analyze stabilization of motion deviation characteristics. Based on responses of motion deviation, contact force is derived to satisfy exponential stability and we generate control input with respect to motion trajectories and interaction force. Moreover, simulation is applied to experimental application of a Cartesian robot driven by two stepper motors, and the noise of feedback signals is considered as presence of system inaccuracies, and the unified approach of interaction force control is examined precisely.
A weak-form formulation of finite annular prism methods (FAPM) based on Reissner's mixed variational theorem (RMVT), is developed for the quasi three-dimensional (3D) static analysis of two-directional functionally graded (FG) circular plates with various boundary conditions and under mechanical loads. The material properties of the circular plate are assumed to obey either a two-directional power-law distribution of the volume fractions of the constituents through the radial-thickness surface or an exponential function distribution varying doubly exponentially through it. These FAPM solutions of the loaded FG circular plates with both simply-supported and clamped edges are in excellent agreement with the solutions obtained using the 3D analytical approach and two-dimensional advanced plate theories available in the literature.
In this paper, the mechanical behaviour of functionally graded material beams is studied using the 3D Saint-Venant's theory, in which the section is free to warp in and out of its plane (Poisson's effects and out-of-plane warpings). The material properties of the FGM beam are distributed continuously through the thickness by several distributions, such as power-law distribution, exponential distribution, Mori-Tanaka schema and sigmoid distribution. The proposed method has been applied to study a simply supported FGM beam. The numerical results obtained are compared to other models in the literature, which show a high performance of the 3D exact theory used to describe the stress and strain fields in FGM beams.
We consider dynamical dark energy models based on a minimally coupled scalar field with three different potentials: the inverse power-law, SUGRA and double exponential potentials. For each model, we derived perturbation initial conditions in the early epoch and performed the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) analysis to explore the parameter space that is favored by the current cosmological observations like Planck CMB anisotropy, type Ia supernovae, and baryon acoustic oscillation data. The analysis has been done by using the modified CAMB/COSMOMC code in which the dynamical evolution of the scalar field perturbations are fully considered. The MCMC constraints on the cosmological as well as potential parameters are derived. In the talk we will present a progress report.
In this paper, a new displacement field based on quasi-3D hybrid-type higher order shear deformation theory is developed to analyze the static and dynamic response of exponential (E), power-law (P) and sigmoïd (S) functionally graded beams. Novelty of this theory is that involve just three unknowns with including stretching effect, as opposed to four or even greater numbers in other shear and normal deformation theories. It also accounts for a parabolic distribution of the transverse shear stresses across the thickness, and satisfies the zero traction boundary conditions at beams surfaces without introducing a shear correction factor. The beam governing equations and boundary conditions are determined by employing the Hamilton's principle. Navier-type analytical solutions of bending and free vibration analysis are provided for simply supported beams subjected to uniform distribution loads. The effect of the sigmoid, exponent and power-law volume fraction, the thickness stretching and the material length scale parameter on the deflection, stresses and natural frequencies are discussed in tabular and graphical forms. The obtained results are compared with previously published results to verify the performance of this theory. It was clearly shown that this theory is not only accurate and efficient but almost comparable to other higher order shear deformation theories that contain more number of unknowns.
Fixed-bed reactor Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation of methanol steam reforming reaction was performed using the intrinsic kinetic data of the copper-impregnated hydrotalcite catalyst. The activation energy of the copper hydrotalcite catalyst obtained from the previous study results was 97.4 kJ/mol, and the pre-exponential was 5.904 × 1010. Process simulation was performed using the calculated values and showed a similar tendency to the experimental results. And the conversion rate according to the change of the reaction temperature (200 - 450 ℃) and the molar ratio of methanol and water was observed using the intrinsic kinetic data. In addition, mass and heat transfer phenomena analysis of a commercial reactor (I.D. 0.05 - 0.1m, Length 1m) was predicted through axial 2D Symmetry simulation using the power law model of the above kinetic constants.

In this paper, two-dimensional numerical simulation of GaAs MESFFT with 0.7${\mu}m$ gate length is perfomed. Drift-diffusion model which consider that mobility is a function of local electric field, is used. As a discretization method, instead of FDM (finite difference method) and FEM (finite element method), the Control-Volume Formulation (CVF) is used and as a numerical scheme current hybrid scheme or upwind scheme is replaced by power-law scheme which is very approximate to exponential scheme. In the process of numerical analysis, Peclet number which represents the velocity ratio of drift and diffusion, is introduced. And using this concept a current equation which consider numerical scheme at the interface of control volume, is proposed. The I-V characteristics using the model and numerical method has a good agreement with that of previous paper by others. Therefore, it is confined that it may be useful as a simulator for GaAs MESFET. Besides I-V characteristics, the mechanism of both velocity saturation in drift-diffusion model is described from the view of velocity and electric field distribution at the bottom of the channel. In addition, the relationship between the mechanism and position of dipole and drain current, are described.
The properties of fracture system on road-cut slopes along the Busan-Ulsan express way under construction are investigated and analyzed. Fracture spacing distributions show log-normal form with extension fractures and negative exponential form with shear fractures. Straight line segments in log-log plots of cumulative fracture length indicate a power-law scaling with exponents of -1.13 in site 1, -1.01 in site 2 and -1.52 in site 3. It is likely that the stability and strength of rock mass are the lowest in site 1 as judged from the analyses of spacing, density and inter-section of fractures in three sites. In contrast, the highest efficiency of the fracture network for conducting fluid flow is seen in site 3 where the largest cluster occupies 73% through the window map. Based on the field survey data, this study modified weighting values of the RMR system using a multiple regression analysis method. The analysis result suggests a modified weighting values of the RMR parameters as follows; 18 for the intact strength of rock; 61 for RQD; 2 for spacing of discontinuities; 2 for the condition of discontinuities; and 17 for ground water.
This study was to analyze a total of 18,068 farm reservoirs in Korea with their basic measures, and estimate their average characteristics. These characteristics have also been compared with those of foreign countries. Histograms of seven measures(approval area, beneficial area, watershed area, effective storage, full water area, dam length, and dam height) of reservoirs are made to characterize their distributions and to apply the Pareto analysis with the power law to evaluate their inequalities. The histogram analysis shows that the measures of dam(channel cross-section) characteristics follow the log-normal distributions, on the other hand, those of the basin characteristics the exponential-type distributions. Pareto analysis was done for the five measures of having exponential distribution. The Pareto exponents estimated are 0.38 for the approval area, 0.42 for the beneficial area, -0.19 for the effective storage, 0.30 for the watershed area, and 0.22 for the full water area, so the inequality of the beneficial area is the highest and that of the effective storage is the lowest. Analysis of morphology index versus watershed area shows that most reservoirs are categorized into deep or normal ones. These characteristics are also found to be similar to those of foreign countries.
