It is important to identify the mid and long-term strategic technologies and evaluate technology level for the establishment of national R&D policy to upgrade technology level in Korea. This paper summarizes the result of technology level evaluation for 99 key technologies of 'National Technology Road Map', which consists of 5 visions, of Korea. The technology level, the technological gap between Korea and world-top country, the role of government to upgrade technology level, etc. were investigated by the survey (total 1,067 respondents) and the interview with experts related to key technologies. The average technology level of Korea was $65.1\%$ of that of world-top country and average technological gap was 5.8 years. The technology level of vision I 'Building an Information-Knowledge-Intelligence Society' was $71.6\%$ and highest among 5 visions. The highest technology level among 99 key technologies was $85.6\%$ for 'Digital Broadcasting Technology' and the lowest was $20\%$ for 'weather Control Technology'. The major reasons of technological gap were investigated as the lack of R&D personnel ($23.8\%$), the shortage of R&D funds ($17.8\%$), and the insufficiency of basic research ($15.4\%$), in sequence. The average technology level of USA was evaluated to highest in the world. It was presented that the technological power of China increased rapidly in the expert interview. The result of technology level evaluation would be primary information for various national S&T planning, such as S&T basic plan, S&T foresight, technology road map, etc.

One hundred years have passed since the Western modern play emerged in Korea. Meanwhile, the numerous actors have appeared and disappeared as well, but leaving the record of their great art of acting is still negligible. For stage performances recorded and restoration of works of art creative process is a very important basis for future generations inherit a world of art. The aim of this study will look back on the life and achievements of the greatest senior actor, Jang Min-ho(1924-2012) died in 2012 and see his acting career and world of art. He was born at the time actors were not valued as an expert yet. Recording a life of an actor itself becomes an opportunity for fundamental reflection for the essence of play and role of actor, and introspecting an actor's life on acting becomes an effect that the actor's unique acting style is delivered to younger generations. By recording the actor's life and life on art, I hope that the contemporaries are able to recognize the value and importance of artists leading the contemporary era with being increased interest.

Korea performance tourism is becoming important role as a Korea tourism contents UNWTO emphasize 10 categories alternative tourism Culutural, Urban Tourism. In 2012, Foreign performance tourist surpassed 1.62 million. At this point government policy support is needed for qualitative development. To establish this support policy standard, evaluation scale is imperative. Delphi is designed as a performance expert group communication process which aim to achieve a convergence of opinion on Korea performance evaluation measures The AHP converts these evaluations to numerical values that can be processed and compared over the entire range of the problem. Evaluation Scale for Korea Performance is consist of 4 Main Category Division. This scale can suggest ways to improve Korea performances.

As construction project has been becoming larger, specialized and complicated, it is important to utilize a lot of information that is made by diverse participants. Especially this information is mainly produced in construction site that plays a leading role in construction project. The problem of information exchange between participants of construction site causes decline of construction productivity. So as to resolve this problem, there is a many interest in BIM(Building Information Modeling) that makes and manages a necessary data during building life cycle. But in Korea construction industry, applying BIM in construction phase is less active than in design phase. Through studying previous research, this study classify the main cause of failure related to information exchange in framework construction. And by interviewing expert, it draw a work that is possible to apply BIM. Next through analyzing framework construction site that is applied with BIM, this study proposes specific information flow model for supporting work by BIM.

In the management of a wastewater treatment plant which is a combination system of physical, chemical, and biological processes, computer simulator is an indispensable part for analysis of the operation status and evaluation of the treatment performance due to its fast computing speed. As an application software carrying out the data input-output operations and the mathematical calculations of the models, simulator is to be a powerful tool for estimating the treatment reaction and calculating mass balance of substrates, microorganisms, and chemicals within the treatment system in a given condition. Qualitative and quantitative prediction of treatment performance provides the plant manager with validity of decision-making through implementing modeling and simulation as a role of knowledge-based expert system in charge of automation and control. This paper shows the proceeding of design and development of the "WEC-Sim" software which is owned the various functions of data acquisition, monitoring, simulation, and control.

Purpose: This study was to investigate the nationwide operational status of the professional medical support staffs (PMSS) who practice the expanded roles in the hospital setting. Methods: The data were obtained through survey from 36 hospitals with over 500 beds from 25th May to 12th July 2016. Data from 1,666 PMSS were analyzed. Results: Since the job titles varied, we classified them into 5 groups according to their roles; advanced practice nurse, clinical nurse expert, PA (physician assistant), coordinator, and others. There were differences in the operation status of PMSSs depending on the region, nurse staffing grade and number of hospital beds. Qualification criteria varied from hospital to hospital, and almost half of the hospitals didn't have any qualification standards for them. There were differences in age, educational level, clinical careers, rewards, and job satisfaction in 5 groups. Especially PA group had low salary, poorer working conditions, more difficulties in performing their work, and lower job satisfaction than other groups. Most PMSS (99.5%) were using a delegated prescription authority, however only 68.3% had job description and 19.9% had documented delegated role. Conclusion: Adequate training curriculum, documented delegated roles, and the protocols for legal protection and efficient medical services are needed.

Stroke patient needs rehabilitation after receiving an acute treatment in a hospital. When stroke patient gets involved in an early discharge program, home care nurse plays a pivotal role to make them to gain a full strength and to come back to his/her prior life before he/she is sick. In spite of the importance of home care nursing intervention protocol for home care nurses to perform home care nursing autonomously, home care nursing intervention protocol for stroke patient is rarely developed. Therefore this study was conducted to develop home care nursing protocol that is applicable for stroke patients in home care nursing area. 41 home care nursing charts for stroke patients registered in home care nursing agencies from December 1st 1994 to August 31st 1999 at Y hospitals in Seoul and Won-Ju city were analyzed. 44 home care nurses who were having over three years' experience on stroke patients were participated in this study as a user validity validation group. The results of this study are as follows. 1. 28 nursing diagnoses were selected on the basis of evaluation of nursing diagnoses of stroke patients presented in a previous literature and case studies on home care nursing. 2. 17 nursing diagnoses were classified through the frequency analysis of home care nursing charts for 41 stroke patients who had received home care nursing. The order of sequence was like these: impaired skin integrity, risk for infection, nutritional deficit, impaired physical mobility, constipation, knowledge deficit, ineffective airway clearance, anxiety in family members, risk for aspiration, self care deficit, altered urinary elimination, ineffective individual coping, social isolation, risk for injury, self-esteem disturbance, impaired verbal communication, fatigue of family caregiver. 3. Based on validation on expert and user validities, 44 nursing interventions which were above ICV=.80 were chosen. 4. Nursing intervention protocols which showed above ICV=.90 were developed and were like these; pressure ulcer care, position change, preventive care for circulatory dysfunction, tube care : catheter, vital sign monitor, constipation/impaction management, artificial airway management, suction of airway secretion, environmental management : safety, and fall prevention.

The controversy over the ethics of bio-science in Korea involves not only the conventional 'two cultures' dimension of scientific vs. humane culture, but also another dimension of high vs. popular culture. This paper attempts to analyze the problems of the Korean bio-science controversy and explore a desirable solution with such an extended framework of 'two cultures'. If we investigate this controversy based only on the Snow's 'two cultures' model, we may understand why there have been conflicts between scientists and ethicists. But the possible solution from it may fall into a trap of professionalism, which confines to some suggestions to promote communication and trust between these two expert groups. Therefore, adding the second dimension of high vs. popular culture to this will clearly bring out the problem of separation and conflict between experts and the public. This will also help us to conceive a more fundamental and comprehensive solution. In addition, such an approach can greatly illuminate not only the existing discussion on 'two cultures' but also the cultural role of STS education.

The international community reached an implicit consensus that knowledge management will be the core of our civilization in the next millenium. This dissertation is to view the knowledge management from the point of information science rather than from the standpoint of the business management, which has been the trends of our academic circle so far. The underlying reason is simple, knowledge is the center of the knowledge management and other factors like humans, organization and culture are merely peripheral elements required to apply knowledge in a more appropriate and efficient manner. This paper looks at knowledge-sharing system as the heart of knowledge management emphasizing significance of the procedures such as validation and valuation and knowledge management processes. Adding to this, I dare to say the term 'Information technology Infrastructure' should be changed into'Information Infrastructure' since knowledge itself and how to express them play a more important role in knowledge management than the information technology does.

Reinforcing steel work plays an important role in terms of its structural performance or weight of construction cost for reinforced concrete structures. Precise estimation of re-bar quantity gives a basis for managing the reinforcing steel work effectively. However, the estimation process is still performed ineffectively based upon the expert's experience or manpower in spite of the advanced technology or improvement efforts. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to develop a prototype system for taking-off the quantity of reinforcing steel bars quickly and accurately in an order consistent with the specific members identified on the drawings. An estimate algorithm considering the connection, settlement and coating thickness of re-bars was suggested regarding to their replacement conditions which places more emphasis on constructibility. Also, this system produces the shop drawings automatically with the calculation results.
