신체화를 동반한 만성요통환자에서 점진적 근육이완 훈련이 통증과 요통기능장애지수, 심리수준에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Training on Pain, Oswestry Disability Index, and Psychological Levels in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Progressive muscle relaxation training on pain, Korean version of Oswestry disability index (ODI) and psychological level in chronic low back pain patients with somatization. Methods: A total of 30 subjects were treated with the experimental group (n=15) and conservative physical therapy (n=15). The experimental group was trained with progressive muscle relaxation (PMR), and the control group was treated with conservative physical therapy. Physical factor treatment was applied for 60 minutes by hot pack, electrotherapy and ultrasound. Both groups performed three times a week for six weeks. VAS, ODI, psychological level measurements were taken before and after intervention. Results: There was a significant difference in VAS (p<.05) and ODI (p<.01) between experimental and control group. At the psychological level, there were significant differences in somatization (p<0.01) and depression scales (p<.01), but not in anxiety. Conclusion: As a result of this study, the degree of pain was decreased, the level of back pain dysfunction was improved, and the somatization scale and depression scale were decreased by gradual muscle relaxation therapy.

경부의 심부근 훈련이 고유수용감각에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Deep Neck Flexor Exercise for the Proprioception in the Neck)

  • Background: People who have painful neck have reduced proprioception in the neck. Reduced proprioception in the neck is related to the muscle spindle activity in the deep neck flexors. The aim of this study was to know that proprioception in the neck was increased by strengthening exercise of the deep neck flexors. Methods: Thirty subjects with chronic neck pain were randomly assigned to the experimental group (n=15) and the control group (n=15). Deep neck flexor muscle exercise with stabilizer were conducted for the study group three times a week for six weeks. Relocation errors in 30 degree rotation to the left were measured three times before and after intervention each. Results: Neck disability index were decreased in the experimental group (p<.05) but not in the control group (p>.05). Relocation errors were decreased in the experimental group after intervention (p<.05), but not in the control group (p>.05). Conclusions: Proprioception in the neck can be increased by the strengthening exercise of deep neck flexors in the subject with chronic neck pain.

tDCS와 요추 움직임 조절 운동이 만성요통환자의 정적균형과 요통장애지수에 미치는 영향 (Effect of tDCS and Lumbar Motor Control Exercise on Static Balance and Disability in Chronic Low Back Pain)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects on static balance and disability in chronic low back pain with lumbar rotation extension subgroup of trascranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) and lumbar motor control exercise (MCE). Methods: In 40 male low back pain with lumbar rotation extension subgroup subjects were recruited for the study. Subjects were randomly allocated into two groups. Experimental groups received tDCS and MCE, Control groups received sham-tDCS and MEC. Before and after intervention, measured in surface area, whole path length and Roland-Morris low back pain questionnaire (RMQ). Results: Showed a significant static balance and disability from the experimental groups compared to the control group. Showed a no significant RMQ score from experimental groups compared to the control group. Conclusions: tDCS and lumbar MCE showed the increased static balance in chronic low back pain with lumbar rotation extension subgroup.

단일 요추간판 절제술 환자의 조기 운동프로그램이 통증, 장애, 균형에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Early Exercise Program on the Pain, Disability and Balance on Undergo Single-level Lumbar Discectomy)

  • Purpose: This study was to determine the effects of a early exercise program on the pain, disability and balance after single-level lumbar discectomy. Methods: Forty patients were randomized into experimental(N=20) and control(N=20) groups. Three days after surgery, patients in the experimental group undertook a 4-week exercise program. Assessments were performed in all patients during the week before surgery and at 4 weeks after. The assessment included measures of back and leg pain(VAS), Oswestry disability index(ODI), stability index(SI) and weight distribution index(WDI). Results: At 4 weeks, VAS, ODI, SI, WDI were significantly reduced in both groups(p<.01). Also the experimental group was significantly reduced back and leg pain(VAS), ODI and WDI were better than the control group(p<.05). Conclusion: It seems that early exercise program is more effective in patients who undergo single-level lumbar discectomy.

중간볼기근 강화운동이 만성 발목염좌 환자의 발목 안정성에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Gluteus Medius Strength Training on Ankle Stability in Patient with Chronic Ankle Sprains)

  • Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of gluteus medius strength exercise on the ankle stability of high school student with chronic ankle sprains. Methods: A total of 30 participants were divided two groups. Experimental group was 15 participants applied gluteus medius strength exercise. Control group was 15 participants performing ankle strength exercise. This study was performed for 50 minutes per day, three a week for 6 weeks. All measurements were taken to a pre and post test. Strength was measured using Power Track ll. Balance was measured using Biodex balance system for Limits of Stability and Postural Stability. Ankle Stability was measured using Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool (CAIT). Results: In the case of gluteus medius strength, there were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group. For ankle stability were statistically significant differences within the experimental group according to measurements taken by Limits of Stability, Postural Stability, and CAIT. A between group comparison showed a statistically significant difference for CAIT only. Conclusion: According to our measurements it appears that gluteus medius strength training was effective in benefiting muscular strength, balance and ankle stability among the physical education.

불안정한 지지면에서의 벽 스쿼트 운동과 안정된 지지면에서의 브릿지 운동이 정상 성인의 자세에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Unstable Wall Squat Exercise and Stable Bridge Exercise on Posture in Normal Adults)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the unstable wall squat exercise and stable bridge exercise on posture in normal adults. Methods: The subjects of this study were 34 university students who were normal health adults, equally and randomly allocated to a unstable wall squat exercise group (male 7, female 10), an experimental group, and a stable bridge exercise group, a control group. Both did so for 30 minutes three times per week over a six-weeks period. Using Back Mapper, their trunk inclination (TIN), trunk imbalance (TIM), pelvic position (PPO), pelvic torsion (PTO), pelvic rotation (PRO) and the position of their scapula (PSA) were evaluated. Results: When the pre-test and post-test results of experimental group and control group were compared, statistically significant differences in TIN, PTO and PSA of experimental group were seen. Conclusion: Unstable wall squat exercise accompanied by abdominal drawing-in may be applied as a method to correct the posture in normal adults.

고등학교 남자배구선수들의 안정화운동에 대한 경.요부의 통증수준과 근육량, 체지방에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Stability Exercise For Pain Level of Cervical and Lumbar Region, Muscle Volume and Fat Mass Composition in Body of High School in Man volleyball Player)

  • Purpose: to program introduction the effects of stability sling exercise and common exercise of high school in man volleyball player. Methods: This study divided the subjects into a sling-exercise group and a common exercise group to compare after practicing exercises twice per week for 8 weeks (total 16 times). To compare the means of the experimental group and the control group on each variable, the ANOVA for repeated measure was used and if there was any significant difference across the measurement times, post-hoc comparisons were conducted for the difference. Results: The T-tests for group difference according to exercise type on each of the variables showed the results as follows. The pain in cervical region is experimental and control groups pain correlation were not significant(p>0.05). But lumbar region experimental and control groups were significant(p<0.05). Muscle volume was increased during 8weeks in experimental and control groups. But experimental and control groups muscle volume correlation were not significant(p>0.05). Conclusion: Fat Mass composition was decreased during 8 weeks in experimental and control groups. But experimental and control groups mass composition correlation were not significant(p>0.05).

경부운동훈련이 외상 후 스트레스 장애 환자의 경부통증 수준, 우울 요인에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of The Cervical Exercise Training on Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Patient's Cervical Pain Levels and Depression Factor)

  • Background: This study investigates the impact of the cervical musculoskeletal intervention on post-traumatic stress disorder patient's cervical pain levels and depression factor. Methods: Thrty neck pain patients diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder were enrolled. Neck exercise training using a sling system was applied to the experimental group and self-neck movement exercise, modification of the McKenzie exercise, was applied to the control group. Both groups were checked every week whether they performed or not. Both groups performed their exercise for 35 minutes for a time and 3 times per week. Total period of the intervention was 6 weeks. To compare the effects of interventions, threshold of cervical tenderness and depression level were measured before and after the each intervention and also measured at follow-up. Results: Painthreshold of left trapezius showed a significant difference between two groups at three points. It increased 19.71% in the experimental group after the intervention compared to before the intervention. At follow-up it also increased 20.06% in the experimental group. Pain threshold of right trapezius showed a significant difference at three points. It increased 18.35% in the experimental group after the intervention compared to before the intervention. At follow-up it also increased 15.93% in the experimental group. According to the result interaction between groups and measurement time in both side of trapezius was valid. Depression level showed significant difference in the experimental group between three points. It decreased 18.07% after the intervention compared to before the intervention and decreased 15.21% at follow-up. According to the result interaction between groups and measurement time in depression level was valid. Conclusions: This study has important implications as the therapeutic strategy, high potent of improving symptoms, shows effect to a subject who has psychological problem such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

엉덩관절 관절가동술과 자가-운동이 엘리트 배드민턴 선수의 관절가동성과 신체균형능력, 점프력, 스매시 속도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Manual Mobilization and Self-exercise on Hip Joint Mobility, Body Balance, Sargent Jump and Smash Speed in Elite Badminton Players )

  • PURPOSE: This study examined the effects of various interventions for improving the hip joint range of motion on elite badminton players, including body balance ability, jumping power, smash speed, and joint range of motion. METHODS: The study was conducted on elite badminton players belonging to the S badminton team in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, and the M badminton team in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do. Twenty-one elite badminton players were selected; they were assigned randomly to Experimental Group 1 (n = 11) and Experimental Group 2 (n = 10). Before and after the intervention, the hip joint range of motion, modified star excursion balance test, Sargent jump, and smash speed were measured. In Experimental Group 1, hip joint manual mobilization was applied by a physical therapist, and hip self-exercise performed by the athletes was applied in Experimental Group 2. This intervention was applied once a day, three times a week, for four weeks. RESULTS: A significant increase in the hip joint range of motion (flexion and extension) and modified star excursion balance test (posteromedial direction) was observed in Experimental Group 1 (hip joint mobilization applied group) compared to Experimental Group 2 (hip joint self-exercise applied group) (p < .05). CONCLUSION: When elite level badminton players require improvement in hip flexion and extension range of motion and posteromedial body balance, hip joint mobilization is more effective than hip self-exercise application.

유기재배매뉴얼을 활용한 유기쌀 생산 (Production of Organic Rice (Oryza sativa L.) using Organic Cultivation Manual)

  • 1. 토양조건은 배수가 양호한 양토인 안룡통 보통답으로 칼륨을 제외하고는 우리나라 논토양의 평균 함량보다 낮은 토양이었다. 유기질비료로 처리구는 질소 표준시비량인 9kg/10a과 비슷한 N-P-K=8.45-4.89-9.24kg/10a를 시용한 반면 관행구는 표준시비량보다 많은 N-P-K=14.5-6.3-10.8kg/10a를 시용하였다. 2. 벼 수확 후 시험구 토양내 미생물상 분포를 조사한 결과 박테리아와 방선균의 수는 처리구에서 약간 높게 나타났고, 곰팡이의 수는 관행구에서 약간 높게 나타났다. 토양내 가수분해효소 생성미생물을 조사한 결과 호평벼 처리구에서 키틴분해미생물과 인산분해 미생물 분포가 다소 높게 나타났다. 3. 병해충 발생정도는 전체적으로 처리구에서는 미미하게 발생하였다. 그러나 관행구에서 특히 호평벼에서 도복과 이삭도열병이, 잎집무늬마름병은 두 품종 공히 심하게 발생하였다. 혹명나방은 온누리에서 발생율이 높았는데 이는 질소 과다 시용으로 판단되었다. 4. 호평벼와 온누리 공히 관행구가 처리구에 비해 간장과 수장은 약간 길고, 주당수수는 많았다. 그러나 잎집무늬마름병 및 이삭도열병, 혹명나방 도복 등으로 등숙비율이 현저히 떨어졌다. 관행구는 천립중이 낮았으며 수량이 호평벼는 38%, 온누리는 13% 떨어졌다. 5. 병해충인 이삭도열병, 잎집무늬마름병, 혹명나방과 수량과의 관계에서 유의성이 높은 부의 상관관계가 나타났다. 6. 백미의 품질도 관행구에서 쇄립율의 증가로 완전미 비율은 낮고, 단백질함량이 높아 전반적인 품질 및 윤기치가 낮아졌다.
