고전압 전력기기 개발을 위한 기중 임펄스절연파괴특성에 관한 연구 (Experimental study on the lightning impulse breakdown characteristics of air for the development of air-insulated high voltage apparatuses)

  • To develop electrically reliable high voltage apparatuses, the experimental study on the electrical breakdown field strength is needed, as well as theoretical approach. In this paper, lightning impulse breakdown characteristics considering utilization factors are investigated for the establishment of insulation design criteria of an high voltage apparatus. The utilization factors are represented as the ratio of mean electric field to maximum electric field. Dielectric experiments are performed by using five kinds of sphere-plane electrode systems made of stainless steel. As a result, it is found that dielectric characteristics are affected by not only gap length but also utilization factor of electrode systems. The results are expected to be applicable to the design of high voltage apparatuses.

초등 예비교사의 실험 기구 조작 능력에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Manual Skills of Experimental Apparatuses of Preservice Elementary School Teachers)

  • 이 연구는 초등 예비교사들의 실험 수행 과정에서 나타나는 실험 기구 조작 능력을 알아보기 위해서 초등 예비교사의 실험 수행 과정을 관찰, 분석하였다. 연구를 위하여 중소도시 소재 H대학교 초등교육과 학생 24명을 연구 대상자로 선정하였으며 2007 개정 과학과 교육과정에 근거하여 개발된 초등학교 3-6학년 과학 교과서를 분석하여 실험 도구를 선정하였다. 선정된 실험 기구는 현미경, 프레파라트 제작, 스포이트, 알코올램프이다. 또한 실제 실험 수행 과정에서 나타나는 실험 기구 조작 능력을 알아보기 위하여 실험 과제를 선정하였으며 실험 기구의 조작 능력을 평가하기 위한 평가 관점을 개발하였다. 3명의 연구 대상자가 각자 독립된 공간에서 동시에 실험 과제를 수행하였고 이 때 3명의 공동 연구자가 각 연구 대상자의 실험 과제 수행 과정을 관찰하고 실험 기구 조작능력 평가 관점표에 제시된 각 관점의 조작 여부를 O, X로 기록하였다. 연구 결과, 초등 예비 교사들의 알코올램프, 스포이트, 현미경, 프레파라트 제작 능력이 낮다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 알코올램프는 스치듯 불 붙이기와 불꽃에 따라 삼발이의 높이를 조절하는 조작 기능이 매우 낮았으며 스포이트는 바르게 잡기를 제대로 수행하지 못하였다. 프레파라트는 제작 시 핀셋 등의 기구 대신 손을 많이 사용하였고 물방울 떨어뜨리기, 거름종이로 물기 닦아내기를 거의 수행하지 않았다. 또한 현미경은 각 과정의 사용법을 정확하게 알지 못했고 초점을 제대로 맞추지 못해 관찰 대상을 관찰하지 못하는 경우도 많이 있었다. 초등 예비교사들의 실험 기구 조작 능력 향상을 위해서 초등 교사 양성 과정에서 초등 예비교사들이 개별적으로 실험 기구를 조작해 볼 수 있는 기회를 충분히 가져야 하며, 이 과정에서 실험 기구의 명칭과 용도, 실험 기구를 올바르게 사용하는 방법, 사용할 때의 유의점, 실험에서 이 실험 기구를 사용하는 이유 등 실험 기구의 가장 기초적이고 기본적인 내용에 대한 지도가 이루어져야 할 것이다.

  • In this study, the experimental open-tube and close-tube thermoacoustic apparatuses were constructed. In order to determine the optimum length of resonant tube, frequency and the optimum length of stack, the resonant characteristics of thermoacoustic apparatuses were investigated, The length of resonant tube varies from 400mm to 850 mm. The experimental frequency varies from 100 Hz to 1000 Hz. In case of first harmonic, the maximum temperature difference of the open-tube thermoacoustic apparatus is 41$^{\circ}C$)resonator length: 500 mm), and the maximum temperature difference of the close-tube thermoacoustic apparatus is 42$^{\circ}C$ (resonator length : 850 mm).

  • In this study, the experimental open-tube and close-tube thermoacoustic apparatuses were built. In order to determine the optimum length of resonant tube and the optimum length of stack, the resonant characteristics of thermoacoustic apparatuses were investigated, The length of resonant tube varies from 400mm to 850mm. The experimental frequency varies from 100Hz to 1000Hz. In case of the second and third harmonics, the maximum temperature difference of open-tube thermoacoustic apparatus is 53$^{\circ}C$ (resonator length: 400mm) and the maximum temperature difference of closed-tube thermoacoustic apparatus is 51$^{\circ}C$ (resonator length: 500mm). In the open-tube thermoacoustic apparatus, the peak efficiency point is about 2%, 55%, 69% in the resonant tube and in the closed-tube thermoacoustic apparatus, the peak efficiency point is about 2%, 41%, 50% in the resonant tube.

  • Scanning Probe Lithography is a method to localized oxidation on single crystal silicon wafer surface. This study demonstrates nanometer scale non contact lithography process on (100) silicon (p-type) wafer surface using AFM(Atomic force microscope) apparatuses and pulse controlling methods. AFM-based experimental apparatuses are connected the DC pulse generator that supplies ultra short pulses between conductive tip and single crystal silicon wafer surface maintaining constant humidity during processes. Then ultra short pulse durations are controlled according to various experimental conditions. Non contact lithography of using ultra short pulse induces electrochemical reaction between micro-scale tip and silicon wafer surface. Various growths of oxides can be created by ultra short pulse non contact lithography modification according to various pulse durations and applied constant humidity environment.

굳지 않은 콘크리트의 간극통과거동 (The Behavior of Fresh Concrete to Pass between Bars)

  • The ability to pass between bars is one of the most important performance of self-compacting concrete or high-flowability concrete since it determines the final filling capacity which influences the strength and durability of hardened concrete in structure. Therefore it has been evaluated by many researchers using different kinds of testing apparatuses. The assessments of passing ability, however, differ largely according to the style, the dimension and the criteria in apparatuses, and the value obtained from one apparatus cannot be converted those of the others. There needs a rheological approach to the better understanding of the passing behavior of fresh concrete between reinforcing bars, where the flow velocity of concrete becomes slow and the blockade sometimes occurs due to the interference between aggregates and reinforcing bars. Experimental works were conducted to clarity the effects of the clearance between reinforcing bars, the volume of aggregate and the rheological properties of matrix on the behavior from the rheological point view and showed the rational mix proportioning of concrete.

  • The accidents caused by dielectric instability have been increasing in power grid. It is important to enhance the dielectric reliability of a high voltage apparatus to reduce the damage from electrical hazards. To develop an electrically reliable high voltage apparatus, the experimental study on the electrical breakdown field strength is indispensable, as well as theoretical approach. In this paper, the lightning impulse breakdown characteristics considering utilization factors are studied for the establishment of insulation design criteria of an high voltage apparatus. The utilization factors are represented as the ratio of mean electric field to maximum electric field. Dielectric experiments are performed by using several kinds of sphere-plane electrode systems made of stainless steel. As a result, it is found that dielectric characteristics are affected by not only maximum electric field intensity but also utilization factors of electrode systems. The results are expected to be applicable to designing the air-insulated high voltage apparatuses.

재생골재를 함유한 콘크리트의 열팽창계수 측정 (Measurement for Coefficient of Thermal Expansion of Concretes Made with Recycled Concrete Aggregates)

  • PURPOSES : This study was performed to determine a systematic approach for measuring the coefficient of thermal expansion (COTE) of concrete specimens. This approach includes the initial calibration of measurement equipment. Test variables include coarse aggregate types such as natural aggregate, job-site produced recycled concrete aggregate, and recycled aggregate processed from an intermediate waste treatment company. METHODS : First, two cylindrical SUS-304 specimens with a known COTE value of $17.3{\times}10^{-6}m/m/^{\circ}C$. were used as reference specimens for the calibration of each measurement system. The well-known AASHTO TP-60 COTE apparatus for concrete measurement was utilized in this study. Four different measurement apparatuses were used with each LVDT installed and a calibration value was determined using each measurement apparatus. RESULTS : In the initial experimental stage, calibration values for each measurement apparatus were assumed to be almost identical. However, using the SUS-304 samples as a reference, the calibration values for the four different measurement apparatuses were found to range from 3.49 to $8.86{\times}10^{-6}m/m/^{\circ}C$. Using different adjusted values for each measurement apparatuses, COTE values for the three different concrete specimens were obtained. The COTE value of concrete made with natural coarse aggregate was $9.91{\times}10^{-6}m/m/^{\circ}C$, that of job-site produced recycled coarse aggregate was $10.45{\times}10^{-6}m/m/^{\circ}C$, and that of recycled aggregate processed from the intermediate waste treatment company was $10.82{\times}10^{-6}m/m/^{\circ}C$. CONCLUSIONS : We observed that the COTE value of concrete made from recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) was higher than that of concrete made from natural coarse aggregate. This difference is due to the fact that the total volumetric mortar proportion in the RCA mix is higher than that in the concrete mix made with natural coarse aggregate.

중고등학교 피복재료 학습효과를 높이기 위한 시험장치 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on simplified Textile testing apparatus for teaching high school students)

  • This study was to increase the experimental learning effect of textile materials in middle and high school. To this study, three kinds of simply devised apparatus were used for warmth retaining test, air permeability test and static electricity test. Two classes were chosen in a girls' high school comparing learning effect and classified the theoretical learning group and the experimental learning group. In the experimental group, a teaching plan to teach the properties of textile materials was made to use these apparatuses. The results were. 1. In the interest on the unit either the theoretical learning group or the experimental learning group were not different significantly. 2. In the items facilitation of motivation, unsatisfied desires and prevention of failure, effect of transfer and development of inquiry power, both groups were significant. 3. For the purpose of comparing the learning effect, two groups were examined for determining the level of understanding after teaching properties of textile materials. The mean value of the experimental learning group was higher than that of the theoretical learning group. The experimental learning group had more higher markers(over the point of 90) than the theoretical learning group.

  • The O-ring seal is a usual component part in various mechanical apparatuses for sealing that makes efficient performance of the equipments. The sealing performance of 0-ring is effected in environments of the O-ring seal, like that applied pressures, working temperatures, interferences and materials. In this paper, an pressurized, NBR O-ring is calculated by experimental methods and analysed numerically using the MARC finite element program. The calculated experimental and FEM results showed that the Contact force O-ring decreases as a function of temperature.
