생석회 탄산화를 위한 회전로 배가스 재순환이 연소 및 NOx 발생양에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Recirculation of Rotary Kiln Exhaust Gas for the Carbonation of Lime on the Combustion Conditions and the Amounts of NOx)

  • 대기에 방치된 생석회의 상온에서 내수화성을 향상시키기 위해 생석회의 탄산화반응과 수화반응실험을 수행하였다. 제강공정에서 사용시까지 수화반응을 억제시키기 위해서는 생석회 표면을 약 6%정도 탄산화시킬 필요가 있었다. 생석회의 탄산화를 위한 회전로 배가스 재순환이 평형연소온도 및 NOx농도에 미치는 영향을 열역학적으로 계산한 결과, 배가스 부피 백분율이 증가함에 따라 연소온도와 NOx농도는 감소하였다.

  • In order to compliant the stringent exhaust emission regulations, higher fuel efficiency and cleaner exhaust gas in combustion engines have been required. To improve combustion efficiency, an exhaust gas temperature is increasing, therefore higher temperature resistance is required for components in exhaust system, especially turbine wheel in turbocharger. IN100 looks quite attractive candidate as it has high temperature properties with low density, however it has low castability due to poor ductility at high temperature. In this study, the balance of Al and Ti composition was optimized from the base alloy IN100 to improve the high temperature ductility by expanding the γ single phase region below the solidification temperature, while obtaining the high temperature strength by maintaining the volume fraction of γ' phase equivalent to IN100 around 1000℃. Furthermore, the high temperature creep rupture life increased by adding a small amount of Ta. The alloy developed in this study has high castability, low density and high specific strength at high temperature.

  • Recently the use of Pd catalyst have been continued to expand because of cost avaliabilityand performance advantages. Especially the Pd+Rh catalyst instead of the Pt+Rh catalyst had been used for most of three way catalysts because of the more stringent emission standards and its higher temperature effectiveness. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the design parameter impacts on the Pd+Rh cat-alyst for the automotive exhaust catalysts application. This study was investigated on the catalyst efficiency for the volume and the precious metal loading of the Pd+Rh ceramic monolithic cata-lyst. And experiments concerning the effects of volume and precious metal loading on Pd+Rh three way catalysts were conducted to examined the catalyst light-off temperature and conver-sion efficiency on higher volume demonstrated almost similar performance. But their effects on higher precious metal loading demonstrated considerably better performance.

$NH_3$-SCR 방법에 의한 디젤 배기 내 De-$NO_x$ 과정에서의 DOC에 의한 영향과 저감 성능 변화 (The Effect of an Oxidation Precatalyst on the $NO_x$ Reduction by $NH_3$-SCR Process in Diesel Exhaust)

  • Diesel $NO_x$ reduction by $NH_3$-SCR in conjunction with the effective oxidation precatalyst was analytically investigated. Physicochemical processes in regard to $NH_3$-SCR $NO_x$ reduction and catalytic NO-$NO_2$ conversion are formulated with detailed descriptions on the commanding reactions. A unified model is correctly validated with experimental data in terms of extents of $NO_x$ reduction by SCR and NO-$NO_2$ conversion by DOC. The present deterministic model based on the rate expressions of Langmuir-Hinshelwood reaction scheme finds a conversion extent directly. A series of numerical experiments concomitant with parametric analysis of the $NO_x$ reduction was conducted. $NO_x$ reduction is promoted in proportion to DOC volume ar lower temperatures and an opposite holds at lower space velocity and intermediate temperatures. $NO_x$ conversion is weakly correlated to the space velocity and the DOC volume at higher exhaust temperature. In DOC-SCR system, the $NO_x$ reduction efficiency depends on the $NH_3/NO_x$ ratio.

  • Exhaust gas emissions from internal combustion engines are one of the major sources of air pollution. And. it is extremely difficult to increase gasoline engine efficiency and to reduce NOx and PM(particulate matter) simultaneously in diesel combustion. This paper offers some basic concepts to overcome the above problems. To solve the problems, a recommended technique is CAI(controlled auto-ignition) combustion. In this paper. internal EGR(exhaust gas recirculation) effect is suggested to realize CAI combustion. An experimental study was carried out to achieve CAI combustion using homogeneous premixed gas mixture in the constant volume combustion chamber(CVCC). A flame trap was used to simulate internal EGR effect and to increase flame propagation speed in the CVCC. Flame propagation photos and pressure signals were acquired to verify internal EGR effect. Flame trap creates high speed burned gas jet. It achieves higher flame propagation speed due to the effect of geometry and burned gas jet.

배기가스순환시스템을 적용한 소멸 퇴비화장치의 효율검토 (Efficiency Investigation of Vanishing Composting Machine Using Exhaust gas Recirculation system)

  • 본 연구는 기존의 소멸화장치를 개선하여 에너지절감과 동시에 탈취효과를 극대화시키면서 유기물의 분해능력을 극대화시키는 장치를 개발하기 위하여 실시되었다. 기존의 장치와 비교하여 3차에 걸친 열교환을 통하여 백금촉매탑에서 발생하는 폐열을 회수하여 이용하게 하였으며, 배기가스의 65%정도를 재순환하게 하였다. 또한 장치전체에 대해서는 감압을 유지하게 하여 수분의 증발을 원활하게 하였다. 미생물제재에 의하여 반응을 안정적으로 유지하는 것이 가능했으며, 또한 분해매체제는 기존의 처리용량의 20배용적을 사용했으나, 본장치에서는 15배용적에 있어서도 미생물활성화가 가능하며, 호기성분위기를 효율적을 유지하는 것이 가능했다. 배기가스의 내부순환을 시스템을 사용함에 따라 얻어지는 효과에 대하여 검토한 결과, 내부의 악취물질인 암모니아가스농도를 감소시키는 것이 가능했으며, 탈취탑으로 유입되는 배기가스가 경감됨에 따라 전력비가1/3선으로 절감되는 효과가 확인되었다. 이러한 내순환에 따라 최적공기량은 100kg처리용량에 대하여 $0.44m^3$로, 이 공기량의 변화에 따라 전력비가 비례하여 변화하는 현상이 확인되었다.

입자에 의한 항공기 플룸의 열복사 가열에 관한 연구 (Investigation of the Radiative Heating from Aircraft Plume with Particles)

  • 유한체적법을 이용하여 설정된 가상의 노즐 조건에 따라 비행체 배기플룸의 SE와 PE에 의한 열복사 저부가열 해석 연구를 수행하였다. 저부면에서의 복사열유속을 얻기 위해 배기플룸은 흡수, 방사 및 산란하는 매질을 고려하였다. 저부면은 차가운 흑체이고 비회색가스와 입자의 복사 물성치는 회색가스가중합법(WSGGM)을 사용하였다. 후방 몬테카를로 방법을 사용한 기존의 연구와 비교하여 검증한 후, 입자의 농도, 온도, 그리고 등방성 또는 이방성 산란에 따른 복사저부가열을 해석하였다. 그 결과, 복사열유속은 노즐 출구와의 거리가 멀어지거나 비행 고도가 증가할수록 감소하고 입자의 온도가 높아질수록 복사열유속은 증가한다. 또한 전방산란은 PE를 증가시키고 후방산란은 SE를 증가시켰다.

일부 영세 도금사업장의 국소배기성능과 공기중 총크롬, 6가 크롬 및 니켈농도와의 관계분석 (Evaluation on the Efficiencies of Local Exhaust Systems and Airborne Concentrations of Total Chromium, Hexa-valent Chromium and Nickel in Some Electroplating Plants)

  • To evaluate efficiencies of the local exhaust systems installed in chromiun and nickel eletroplating tanks, specifications of each tank and general performances of the local exhaust systems were measured in 16 electroplating plants from July 3 to November 24, 1992. Airborne concentrations of total chromium, hexa-chromium and nickel were also measured, Most of the local exhaust systems installed in electroplating plants were inadequately designed. Average capture velocities of local exhaust systems in chromium and nickel tanks were 0.45 m/sec and 0.29 m/sec. Average slot velocities in chromium and nickel tanks were 7.30 m/sec and 2.87 m/sec repectively. Both average capture and solt velocities were in noncompliance with the standards recommened by American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Exhausted air volume was insufficient in all local exhaust systems surveyed. Worker exposure levels to total chromium, hexa-chromium and nickel were $43.0{\mu}g/m^3$, $1.7{\mu}g/m^3$ and $9.3{\mu}g/m^3$, which were below the Korean Standard and U.S. Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) Permissible Exposure Limit(REL). However, Worker exposure level to hexa-chromium exceeded the NIOSH Recommended Exposure Limit(REL) of $1{\mu}g/m^3$. As the result of Scheffee's multiple comparions, worker exposure levels to all metals were significantly different between two groups by the management state of existing local exhaust systems (p<0.05). However, Difference between a group with local exhaust systems which were poorly managed and another group without local exhaust system was satatistically non-significant.

  • 우리나라는 경제규모에 비해 환경오염물질 배출량이 많으며, 이는 에너지 다소비업종의 비중 증가에 따른 것이다. 이에 따라 에너지 다소비업종 중 하나인 건설 관련 공사에 대한 효율적인 에너지 절약이 이루어지지 않는 문제점이 대두되고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 근래 노후화된 건축물의 해체공사가 빈번하며, 이러한 상황에서 좀 더 나은 에너지 절약효과를 갖기 위해서는 건설공사의 전과정(Life Cycle) 중 해체단계에서 발생하는 에너지소비량, 환경오염물질 배출량, 환경비용등에 관한 기본적인 DB 구축 및 활용방안 개발이 필요할 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지식경제부와 환경부에서 제시하는 LCI DB를 활용하여 해체공사시 발생하는 환경오염물질 배출량을 산출하고 환경오염물질별 환경비용을 환산하여 건축물 해체공사에 대한 환경경제성을 평가하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 관련 자료조사, 기존 문헌연구 및 현장조사 등을 실시하였고 이들 수집자료의 분석결과를 바탕으로 사례대상인 건축물의 환경경제성을 평가하였다.

빌딩주변 자동차 배기가스중의 NOx 분산에 관한 수치해석 (Numerical Simulation on Dispersion of NOx in Vehicular Exhaust Gas around Buildings)

  • This paper demonstrates the numerical simulation of three dimensional flow pattern for vehicular exhaust dispersion in the street canyons. The wind flow around buildings in urban is computed by the SIMPLEST method. The convection-diffusion equation was used to compute the $NO_X$ concentration level near buildings. Details are given of important boundary conditions and turbulence quantities variations. The simple turbulence model was used for unisotropic viscous effect. A control-volume based finite-difference method with the upwind scheme is employed for discretization equation. The simple turbulence model applied in this study has been verified through comparison between predicted and measured data near buildings. By the predictive results, the updraft induced by the presence of high-rise buildings is important in the transport of street level pollutant out from the street canyons. Our suggestion for reducing ground level pollution is to have high-rise buildings constructed or to reduce the channelling effect of street canyons.
