흡착제의 흡착특성 규명을 위한 흡착모델의 적용성 평가(II)-흡착속도론을 중심으로 (Applicability of Theoretical Adsorption Models for Studies on Adsorption Properties of Adsorbents(II))

  • 본 연구는 흡착제의 흡착특성을 이해하는데 이용되는 각종 흡착모델의 적용성을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 상용의 음이온교환수지(PA-308)를 이용하여 질산성질소에 대한 흡착특성을 회분식 실험을 통해 조사하였다. 음이온교환수지에 의한 질산성질소의 속도실험 결과는 초기의 빠른 흡착과정과 후기의 느린 흡착 과정의 두 가지 단계의 과정으로 이원화되는 경향을 나타내었다. 1차 속도식과 2차 속도식 모두 전체 반응시간에서의 질산성질소에 대한 음이온교환수지의 흡착속도를 수식화 할 수 없었다. 초기의 빠른 흡착반응($t\leq$ 20분)은 1차 속도식에 따르고 외부확산에 의해 거의 지배되는 거동을 보이는 반면, 후기 느린 흡착반응(t > 20분)은 2차 속도 화학반응과 내부확산, 즉 세공 내 확산에 의해서 일어남을 알 수 있었다.

  • 전기투석(ED)은 이온교환막을 통한 이온의 분리에서 중요한 과정이다. 해수담수화로 발생하는 염수 처리는 환경적으로 큰 문제이며 막분리 기술을 통한 재활용 효율이 높다. 마찬가지로 알칼리는 가죽, 전기도금, 염색, 제련 등과 같은 여러 화학 산업에서 생산된다. 폐기물의 고농도 알칼리는 부식성이 높고 화학적 산소 요구량(COD) 값이 높기 때문에 환경에 방출하기 전에 처리해야 합니다. 칼슘과 마그네슘의 농도는 염수의 거의 두 배이며 주요 환경 오염 물질인 이산화탄소의 흡착에 완벽한 후보입니다. 수산화나트륨은 양극성 막 전기투석 공정으로 쉽게 생산되는 금속 탄산화 공정에 필수적입니다. 역삼투압(RO), 나노여과(NF), 초여과(UF), ED 등 다양한 공정을 통해 회수가 가능하다. 본 검토에서는 알칼리 회수를 위한 이온교환막에 의한 ED 공정에 대해 논의한다.

교환당사자의 특성, 교환관계 지각, 관계품질 및 행동의도의 순차적 인과관계 : 미용서비스 이용고객의 관점에서 (Sequential Causal Analyses of Exchange Party's Characteristic, Exchange Relation Perception, Relationship Quality and Behavioral Intention : Customer's Perspective)

  • The research for exchange relationship in customer's perspective is meaningful especially in service, considering distinctive characteristics of service operations such as customer participation in the process whereas most of the recent related researches have been focused on employee's interaction with organization, leader, team and customer. In this study for beauty art service, the exchange party's characteristic is defined with beauty salon's reputation, staff's professionalism and customer's self-esteem. Also the exchange relation perception is classified into symbolism and interaction, Then the directional relations on customer's perspective are empirically investigated in the sequential order of the exchange party's characteristics, the exchange relation perception, the relationship quality and behavioral intention. In addition, the study examined the meditation effect via relationship quality between the exchange relation perception and the behavioral intention. Followings are confirmed from the statistical test with structural equation modelling:Symbolism is significantly caused by all of professionalism, reputation and self-esteem in the descending order of effect size whereas interaction is significantly influenced by only professionalism. The exchange relation perception has significant effect on the relationship quality, in turn which significantly affects behavioral intention. The exchange relation perception shows the significant indirect effect meditated by relationship quality and the insignificant direct effect on behavioral intention. This paper concludes with contribution of this study, managerial implication of the research findings and further research issues.

몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 활용한 한·중 통상 결제통화로서 위안화 활용 영향력 평가 : 위안화 활용비율의 옵션화로 인한 헷지효과 (Assessing the Chinese Yuan as Invoicing Currency Using Monte-Carlo Simulation : RMB's Quasi-Option Hedging Effect)

  • 본 연구는 결제통화로서의 위안화 연구의 한계를 극복하기 위하여 한중 통상과정에서 위안화를 결제통화로 확대할 경우 발생할 수 있는 영향력을 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하였다. 일차적으로는 현시 환율과 동일한 확률분포로 위안화 환율이 발현되었을 경우 위안화의 사용비율이 한화전환 결제통화수지에 미치는 영향력을 분석하였다. 이와 더불어 위안화 환율이 현시 환율변동성 이상의 비정상성 행보를 보였을 경우의 영향력을 분석하였다. 본 연구로 발견된 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 위안화 활용비율과 무관하게 현시 환율과 동일한 확률분포로 위안화 환율이 발현될 경우, 달러화나 위안화의 환율과 환율변동성의 확대는 한화전환 결제통화수지를 상승시키는 기제로 작용한다. 둘째, 달러화의 환율변동성은 평균적으로는 한화전환 결제통화수지에 미치는 영향력은 긍정적이지만 양극화를 가중시키고, 위안화도 유사한 성향을 보이지만 달러화에 비하여 중도적이다. 셋째, 현시 변동성보다 위안화 환율변동성이 확대된 경우 결제통화로서의 위안화는 한화전환 결제통화수지 규모를 하락시키므로 위안화의 환율 불확실성의 확대여부를 주목해야 한다. 특히 위안화 환율변동성은 한계효과를 보이고 있어 2배수 내에서 변동성의 부정적 효과가 극대화 된다. 마지막으로 위안화 환율변동성과 사용비율이 미치는 영향력은 강세스프레드와 유사한 경향을 보여 기업이 영업이익 극대화를 위한 전략적 도구로 사용될 수 있다.

STEP을 이용한 CAE/CAO 정보교환 (STEP-Based CAE/CAO Information Exchange)

  • In the product design process computer-aided engineering and optimization tools are widely utilized in order to reduce the total development time and cost. Since several simulation tools are involved in the process, information losses, omissions, or errors are common and the importance of seamless information exchange among the tools has been increased. In this study ISO STEP standards are adopted to represent the neutral format for CAE/CAO information exchange. The schema of AP209 is used to define the information of finite element analysis and the new schema is proposed to describe the information of structural optimization based on the STEP methodology. The schema is implemented by EXPRESS, information modeling language, and ST-Developer is employed to generate C++ classes and STEP Rose Library by using the schema denoted. To substantiate the proposed approach, the information access interfaces of the finite element modeling software (FEMAP), structural optimization software (GENESIS) and in-house topology optimization program are developed. Examples of the size optimization of a three-bar truss and topology optimization of a MBB beam are shown to validate the information exchange of finite element analysis and structural optimization using STEP standards.

Ultra-pure water production by integrated electrodialysis-ion exchange/electrodeionization

  • Ultra-pure water (UPW), a highly treated water free of colloidal material and of a conductivity less than 0.06 ${\mu}S$, is an essential component required by modern industry. One of the methods for UPW production is the electrodialysis-ion exchange (ED/IE) system, in which the electrodialysis (ED) process is used as a preliminary demineralization step. The IE step can be replaced with electrodeionization (EDI) to decrease the volume of post-regeneration lyes. In this paper, the electrodialysis process carried out to relatively low diluate conductivity was investigated and the costs of UPW production were calculated. The optimal value of desalination degree by ED in the ED/IE and ED/EDI systems was estimated. UPW unit costs for integrated ED/IE and ED/EDI systems were compared to simple ion exchange and other methods for UPW production (RO-IE, RO-EDI). The minimal UPW unit costs in ED/EDI integrated system were estimated as $0.37/$m^3$ for feed TDS 600 mg/L and $0.36/$m^3$ for feed TDS 400 mg/L at 64 $m^3/h$ capacity, which was lower than in the comparable ED/IE integrated system ($0.42-0.44/$m^3$). The presented results suggest that an ED/EDI integrated system may be economically viable.

동북아시아-태평양지역의 환경교육 제도화 및 교류실태에 관한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on the Current Status Institutionalization of Environmental Education and Exchange in the Northeast Asia & the Pacific Region)

  • The result of comparison and analysis study of institutionalization and exchange status of environmental education in South Korea, the People's Republic of China, and Japan, Northeast Asian countries that are closely related to Korea, is summarized as the following: First, this study shows that the process of environmental education institutionalization requires an instigation. For example, a specific environmental policy is established after raising awareness to modify environmental policies, as the result of aggravation of damage due to pollution. Therefor, it is the necessary process for the establishment of an environmental policy in order to proceed environmental education institutionalization. Second, even though institutionalization processes of environmental education for the three countries are considered to be very similar, differences are apparent if one carefully examines the content of environmental education for each country. In particular, South Korea, the People's Republic of China, and Japan all agree that environmental education is necessary, but differ in their ideas of main body for advocating institutionalization, as well as maintenance level of environmental education. Third, the order of establishment of environmental education institutionalization is Japan, South Korea and China and there exists about a 10 years time gap between each country. Fourth, the environmental education exchange was formed between South Korea and the People's Republic of China and between South Korea and Japan, first. Then it was enlarged to TEMM(Tripartite Environment Ministers Meeting) and TEEN(Tripartite Environmental Education Network) among three countries.

BOG 내부 열교환을 이용한 LNG 선박용 Boil-Off Gas 재액화 시스템 (Boil-Off Gas Reliquefaction System for LNG Carriers with BOG-BOG Heat Exchange)

  • The price increase of natural resources and the worldwide growth of LNG demand led to save the waste of Boil-Off Gas evaporating from cargo tanks of LNG carriers during navigation. As one of the efforts, a BOG reliquefaction system with BOG-to-BOG heat exchanging method was newly devised. This study was also discussed on the process details such as some features and advantages including comparisons with conventional BOG reliquefaction system, non BOG-BOG heat exchange type. The thermodynamic analysis for the system were also performed. Through the cycle simulation, the process efficiency of the BOG reliquefaction system BOG-BOG heat exchange was estimated to be increased up to 21%.

표면적이 증가된 분별침전에 의한 paclitaxel의 입자 크기 감소 (Decrease in the Particle Size of Paclitaxel by Increased Surface Area Fractional Precipitation)

  • In this study, we have for the first time applied increased surface area fractional precipitation in order to decrease the particle size of the anticancer agent paclitaxel from plant cell cultures. When compared with the case where no surface area increasing material was employed, the addition of ion exchange resin as a surface area increasing material resulted in a considerable decrease in the size of the paclitaxel precipitate. When ion exchange resin was used, the paclitaxel particles were four to five times smaller, having less than a 20 ${\mu}m$ radius, than those obtained in the absence of ion exchange resin. This is presumably because the growth of paclitaxel particles was impeded by the addition of ion exchange resin. The size of the paclitaxel precipitate also depended on the material used to increase the surface area, a result considered to be due to differences in the affinity between the particular ion exchange resin used and the paclitaxel particles. The yield of paclitaxel was significantly improved when ion exchange resin was used as a material to increase surface area. Paclitaxel, with a reduced particle size due to the addition of a surface area increasing material during the fractional precipitation process, is believed to be particularly useful for practical applications of the drug.

Continuous ion-exchange membrane electrodialysis of mother liquid discharged from a salt-manufacturing plant and transport of Cl- ions and SO42- ions

  • Mother liquid discharged from a salt-manufacturing plant was electrodialyzed at 25 and $40^{\circ}C$ in a continuous process integrated with $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ion low-permeable anion-exchange membranes to remove $Na_2SO_4$ and recover NaCl in the mother liquid. Performance of electrodialysis was evaluated by measuring ion concentration in a concentrated solution, permselectivity coefficient of $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ions against $Cl^-$ ions, current efficiency, cell voltage, energy consumption to obtain one ton of NaCl and membrane pair characteristics. The permselectivity coefficient of $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ions against $Cl^-$ ions was low enough particularly at $40^{\circ}C$ and $SO_4{^{2-}}$ transport across anion-exchange membranes was prevented successfully. Applying the overall mass transport equation, $Cl^-$ ion and $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ion transport across anion-exchange membranes is evaluated. $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ion transport number is decreased due to the decrease of electro-migration of $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ions across the anion-exchange membranes. $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ion concentration in desalting cells becomes higher than that in concentration cells and $SO_4{^{2-}}$ ion diffusion is accelerated across the anion-exchange membranes from desalting cells toward concentrating cells.
