간호대학생의 간호정보활용역량 강화프로그램이 근거기반실무 역량과 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과 (The Effectiveness of Nursing Information Literacy Competency Enhancement Program on Evidence-Based Practice Competencies and Problem Solving Skills in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 간호정보활용역량 강화프로그램을 개발하여 적용한 후 이 프로그램이 근거기반실무 역량(근거기반실무 지식, 태도, 기술)과 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 시도되었다. 간호대학 2학년 학생 72명을 대상으로 한 단일군 전후설계 연구이다. 실험중재는 간호대학생에게 6회(총 8시간)의 간호정보활용역량 강화프로그램이 제공되었다. 간호정보활용역량 강화프로그램을 실시한 결과 간호대학생들의 근거기반실무 역량(근거기반실무 지식, 태도, 기술)과 문제해결능력이 실험전보다 유의하게 향상되었다. 따라서 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 간호대학에서 간호정보활용역량 강화프로그램을 활용하여 이들의 근거기반실무 역량 및 문제해결능력을 증진시킬 수 있는 기초자료를 마련하고자 한다.

혈액투석실에서 근무하는 간호사의 특성이 근거기반 혈액투석간호지식과 수행정도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Characteristics of Nurses on Knowledge and Nursing Performance Evaluation of Evidence Based Hemodialysis Nursing Practice in Hemodialysis Unit Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of characteristics of nurses on knowledge and nursing performance of evidence based hemodialysis nursing practice among hemodialysis unit nurses. Methods: The participants were 180 nurses working in hemodialysis unit for more than 6 months in 23 private and general hospitals in Seoul and Gyeonggido. Data were collected from March 30th to April 15t in 2016 and were analyzed using stepwise regression analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA. Results: Nurses' knowledge on evidence based hemodialysis nursing practice was $15.87{\pm}4.52$ out of 23 points. Type of hospitals working in and adherence to evidence based hemodialysis guidelines were significant factors to knowledge and these two factors explained 30.0%. Nurses' nursing performance on evidence-based hemodialysis nursing practice was 4.52 out of 5 points. The performace level was significantly related to total nurisng career and necessity of hemodialysis nursing education and these two factors explained 8.0%. Conclusion: A development of guideline and continuing education is necessary for improving knowledge and performance of evidence based hemodialysis nursing practice.

권역외상센터 간호사의 근거기반실무역량, 셀프리더십, 조직몰입이 전문직 자아개념에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Evidence-Based Practice Competency, Self-leadership, Organizational Commitment on the Professional Self-concept of Trauma Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study investigated the effects of evidence-based practice competency, self-leadership, and organizational commitment on professional self-concept of nurses in regional trauma centers. Methods: The 98 research participants were nurses with clinical experience of a year or more. Descriptive statistics, t-tests, Mann-Whitney U test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients were computed, and multiple regression analysis was conducted. Results: Professional self-concept showed statistically significant differences according to marital status, religion, and educational background, and was positively correlated with and affected by evidence-based practice competency, self-leadership, and organizational commitment. Conclusion: Trauma nursing education programs should include evidence-based practice competency and self-leadership and organizational support should be provided to improve the professional self-concept of nurses in regional trauma centers.

근거중심실무 연계 중환자간호 실습교육의 적용 및 효과 (Effects of Evidence Based Practice Integrated Critical Care Clinical Practicum)

  • Purpose: This study examines the effects of integrating Evidence Based Practice (EBP) into a critical care clinical practicum on nursing students' access and use of information resources and EBP competency. Methods: A one-group pretest-posttest design was used. Fifty senior nursing school students from a university participated. A critical care clinical practicum combined with EBP consisted of six full days of clinical practicum in intensive care units with EBP education. Group and individual training in EBP skills, lectures, small group discussion and conferences were provided. Data were analyzed using paired t tests for 50 participants. Results: The scores of evidence based practice competency increased significantly (p<.001) showing significant improvement in searching and classifying the evidence. Nursing students' access and use of research evidence improved (p=.004). Conclusion: This study showed that the integration of EBP into a clinical practicum was effective in improving accessibility and usefulness in research evidence such as guidelines and research articles, and increasing EBP competency in undergraduate students.

근거기반 정맥주입요법 간호실무지침 실무적용 프로그램 개발 및 평가 - 중소병원을 대상으로 (Development and Effectiveness of Practice Application Program of Intravenous Infusion Evidence-Based Nursing Practice Guideline - for Small and Medium Sized Hospitals)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop and test the effects of a program for practice application of intravenous infusion evidence based nursing practice (EBP) guidelines in small and medium-sized hospitals. Methods: A mixed method research design was used, combining non-equivalent control group pre-post test design with qualitative study analysis. The subjects consisted of 55 nurses. The practice application program was developed based on the Advancing Research and Clinical practice through close Collaboration (ARCC) model. Data were collected for analysis in the following areas: nurses' EBP organizational culture and readiness, EBP beliefs, EBP implementation, importance about intravenous infusion, and performance about intravenous infusion, with data assessed using valid and reliable instruments. Patient outcomes were collected from the hospital's medical records. Data were analyzed using t-test, χ2-test, and Shapiro-Wilk test, with qualitative content analysis used for interview data. Results: Following the intervention, nurses' EBP organizational culture and readiness, EBP beliefs, EBP implementation, and performance of intravenous infusion and perceptions of its importance showed significant improvement in the experimental group. Phlebitis rates decreased in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: This program is effective to improve nurse's perception and practice of evidence based nursing. Therefore we recommend to use this program at same levels of hospitals.

Influence of Job Crafting on Evidence-Based Practical Skills of Dental Hygienists

  • Background: As the medical knowledge base grows at an accelerating rate, evidence-based clinical performance becomes increasingly important for providing quality care. Previous studies have highlighted the need to promote job crafting to actualize evidence-based practical skills in the medical field. This study aimed to investigate the degree of evidence-based practice among dental hygienists and assess the impact of job crafting on the evidence-based practical skills of dental hygienists. Methods: Dental hygienists working at dental hospitals and clinics in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were surveyed between February 28 and April 6, 2023. The sample was comprised of 267 participants. The hypotheses were tested independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analyses using SPSS 29.0. Results: The degree of job crafting by dental hygienists demonstrated significant differences based on educational attainment, workplace size, and workplace type. Evidence-based practical skills exhibited significant variations based on educational attainment and job position. All job crafting subfactors demonstrated positive correlations with evidence-based practical skills. The job crafting subfactors affecting the evidence-based practical skills of dental hygienists were 'increasing structural job resources' and 'increasing challenging job demands,' which together explained 38.7% of the variance in evidence-based practical skills. Conclusion: This study demonstrates that job crafting was positively and significantly correlated with evidence-based practical skills. To strengthen the job crafting ability of dental hygienists, improving environmental conditions and fostering an organizational culture that motivates continued participation in education is necessary. The development and promotion of programs that enable learning of the latest evidence should be actively pursued. Additionally, regular attendance at workshops and participation in organizational evidence-based practice education programs are necessary.

근거기반 욕창간호 실무지침 개정 (Updates of Evidence-Based Nursing Practice Guidelines for Pressure Injury)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to update the previous evidence-based nursing clinical practice guidelines for pressure injury. Methods: The guideline was revised in 22 steps based on the international standards. Results: The updated nursing practice guideline for pressure injury consisted of four domains and 494 recommendations. The numbers of recommendations in each domain was: 31 hospital policy, 64 assessment, 386 prevention and management, and 13 education. The recommended grade was 10.3% for A, 13.8% for B, and 75.9% for C. Of these, the major revision was done in 40 recommendations (8.1%). A total of 55 recommendations (11.0%) were newly added. 25 recommendations had minor revisions such as changes or additions for some words, and only one recommendation was deleted. Conclusion: The revised nursing practice guidelines for pressure injury are expected to serve as an evidence-based practice guideline for pressure injury in Korea. This guideline will provide healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers with information to help prevent and manage pressure injuries, leading to improving patient outcomes.

임상간호사의 그릿, 사회적 지지, 잡 크래프팅, 근거기반 실무역량이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Clinical Nurses' Grit, Social Support, Job Crafting, and Evidence-Based Practice Competency on Job Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This descriptive survey study aimed to examine the effects of grit, social support, job crafting, and evidence-based practice competency on job satisfaction among nurses. Methods: The participants of this study were 211 clinical nurses with experience of more than six months. Data were collected using through an online survey from February 1 to February 17, 2023. The questionnaires was consisted of general characteristics, grit, social support, job crafting, evidence-based practice competency, and job satisfaction. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics(frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation), t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 28.0 program. Results: The average scores of the main variables were 3.08±0.44 out of four for grits, 3.67±0.52 out of five for social support, 4.20±0.64 out of five for job crafting, 4.84±0.71 out of seven for evidence-based practice competency, and 3.72±0.55 out of five for job satisfaction. In the regression model, the factors affecting the nurses' job satisfaction were grit (β=0.66, p<.001) and social support (β=0.11, p=.046), which explained 78.7% of the variance in job satisfaction. Job crafting and evidence-based practice competency were correlated with job satisfaction; however, there was no statistically significant effects of these variables on job satisfaction. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, grit and social support showed the most significant effects on the job satisfaction of nurses. Therefore, active support is needed to develop a strategy to improve nurses' grit and to create a supportive work environment, which would be helpful to increase their job satisfaction.

  • 연구 목적은 근거중심 소아치과학의 개념을 정립하고 그 응용 방법을 모색하는 것이었다. 근거중심 소아치과학의 정의는 '어린이와 청소년의 치과 진료에서 최고의 과학적 연구근거를 소아치과의사의 임상 기술, 그리고 어린이 환자 및 그 보육자의 가치와 통합하는 것'으로 가정하였다. 근거중심 소아치과학의 실행 방법을 조사하였고, 근거중심 소아치과학의 최신 결론을 선별하여 주제별로 정리하였으며, 근거중심 소아치과학 연구의 기본이 되는 체계적 고찰과 임상진료지침의 연구 방법을 분석하고, 개별 연구 방법으로서 무작위 대조 시험 등을 조사하였다. 근거중심 소아치과학이 발전하기 위한 기본 방향으로서, 근거중심 소아치과학의 필요성에 대한 인식 제고와 공감대 형성, 근거중심 소아치과학의 방법에 대한 교육, 소아치과학 문헌의 전산화, 체계적 고찰과 임상진료지침의 지속적 연구 개발 및 보급, 우리나라 소아치과학 근거의 생성, 소아치과 진료환경의 사회적 요인 개선 등이 제안되었다.

근거기반설계 연구의 근거 특성과 의료건축의 근거기반실무를 위한 시사점 - HERD의 연구경향 분석을 중심으로 (The Characteristics of Evidence in Evidence-based Design Research and Their Implications to the Evidence-based Practice of Healthcare Architecture - Focused on Health Environments Research & Design Journal)

  • Purpose: To prove the credibility of EBD, it is necessary to define concepts regarding the nature of credible knowledge and the hierarchy of evidence. In addition, the relationship between EBD and EBP needs to be addressed through a practical viewpoint. Methods: The systematic review is applied to define the nature of knowledge and the characteristics of research papers in architectural EBD while analyzing the field of study, knowledge focus and types of keywords of the first author. Results: As a whole, the types of research focus evaluated using the most frequent keywords include function(40.86%), specialized knowledge(30.52%), professional practice(21.37%), and health(5.78%). Empirical research(83.72%) is more likely to be found than theoretical research(13.95%). The EBD research papers ranked as top-tier are only 7(2.03%) among a total of 344, while the research papers ranked in the third to fourth tiers are 276(80.23%). Implications: There is a deficiency of reliable 1-2 tier research papers. From a practical viewpoint, it would be realistic to recommend that healthcare architects appropriately evaluate the quality of EBD research and apply it in practice, rather than to conduct EBD research themselves. This systematic review illustrates the nature of EBD research.
