  • The number of companies which use Internet and Web grow at an explosive rate and most of them made use of the Web sites for business activity such as publicity, advertising, customer support, and online retailing. However, there are very few empirical studies on web sites evaluation based on theoretical framework. The primary purpose of this study is to evaluate motivational effectiveness of Web sites using the WebMAC Business instrument. In this paper, we introduced a lot of Web sites evaluation studies and several IS studies based on the motivation theory. Web sites evaluation was performed by four motivational factors which include stimulating, meaningful, organized, and easy-to-use. There are significant differences among the industry type about motivational factors. This study identifies areas for improvement of existing Web sites and suggests several guidelines for development of Web sites from the user's perspective.

  • A teacher evaluation system is a hot issue of educational policy these days. Many teachers have opposed teacher evaluation system, but government and many parents have agreed teacher evaluation system. And some people agree teacher evaluation system, but some people disagree teacher evaluation system. The approvers of teacher evaluation system insist that teacher evaluation system can provide the quality of instruction, satisfaction of schooling, and nation's competition capacity. But opponents of teacher evaluation system insist that teacher evaluation system can provide dissatisfaction of teachers' job, excessive competition among teachers, and the failure of educational policy. So, comprehensive studies about teacher evaluation system are needed. The purpose of this study was to investigate that elementary and secondary teachers' recognition about teacher evaluation system. The tool of this study was used questionnaire which was made by researcher of this study. This study indicates as follows. Many teachers opposed teacher evaluation system, because of deficit of validity and reliability of teacher evaluation system. Also, many teachers indicated instruction ability as the most important evaluation standard of teacher evaluation system. And many teachers predicted the dissatisfaction of teachers' job and excessive competition among teachers as a result of teacher evaluation system.

  • Up to now, most of studies on mechanical properties in friction welded components are about tensile and bending strength. However the fatigue studies on the friction-welded components subjected to repeated stress are not available. The purposes of this study are the development of fundamental design and the development of in-process real-time weld quality evaluation technique by acoustic emission for the bar-to-bar dissimilar friction welding of hydraulic valve spool steels.

  • Several studies are being carried out to develop the reliable methods for the gas hydrate resource evaluation around the world. In this study, some case studies and investigations on the resource assesment of several advanced research teams were tried and then detail information on the evaluation scheme and technology of each team and nation are explained and analyzed for the future study and development. On top of that, main concepts and major parameters which can affect the quantity of assessment are examined and arranged for applying to our Donghae gas hydrate field case. Finally, the major concepts and methodology for this evaluation are brought forth and a schematic diagram for the main steps are come up with as well.

  • This study investigated the effects of personal (gender, school grade and causal attribution for success and failure) and environmental (mother's evaluation of their children and mother's efficacy) variables on children's perceived competence. The subjects were 595 fourth and sixth graders and their mothers selected from 3 elementary schools in Pusan. Children's perceived competence was studied under 3 categories : scholastic, social, and athletic competence. Data were analyzed by SAS/PC+ program. Internal attribution for the success had a positive influence on perceived competence while internal attribution for failure had a negative influence on perceived competence. Mother's evaluation of their children had a stronger influence on perceived competence than mother's efficacy. Mother's evaluation of their children was the most influential variable in all 3 categories of competence while secondary and tertiary variables varied by internal attribution for success or failure and by gender.

  • It has been well known that traffic accidents occur under combined functional contributions of drivers, vehicles and road facilities, and that evaluation of safety levels for a specific road section or point is generally much complicated. Additionally, most of traffic accidents occur randomly implicating it is necessary to be evaluated in terms of probability theory. Thus, the evaluation model which reflects various characteristics and probabilistic distributions of traffic accidents has been necessary. The present paper provides a reliability based model with variables of probabilistic operating speeds and design speeds together which have been individually explaining associated characteristics in traffic accidents. Consequently, the model made it possible for speed management and road improvement projects to be evaluated in a common index. Application studies were performed in three cases. Through the studies, couples of facts were identified that the model successfully considered the probabilistic operating speeds and design speeds together and that then, the model evaluated road safety alternatives relatively which are complicatedly characterized and differently located.

  • Recently due to the environmental pollution and the requirement for the substitute energy the interest for development of the solar energy system has been highly escalated It has been approved that the solar energy is a very useful on e because of purity and low cost. Some studies about the evaluation of solar radiation on the land has been carried out but few studies on the sea. This paper deals with a study on the evaluation of solar radiation on the sea. The experiments were carried out on the training vessel on the adjacent water of Korea Japan and China for twenty days. The distributions of solar radiation from the sea were changed into nonlinear in from according to the temperature. The solar radiation on the sea has a great influence on the velocity of wind as well as the temperature The distribuition of solar radiation has higher values on the track of the coastal sea than the open sea at same conditions.

  • This study empirically analyzes the economic validity of rape farmers. The analysis of economic evaluation is based on the benefit-cost analysis. Previous studies have undoubtedly expanded our understanding of the importance of substitution effects on a rapeseed for bio-fuels. However, earlier studies have mostly dealt with the concept of biodiesel's economics analysis, but this paper's attentions have been paid to the economic analysis of farm. The aim of this paper is suggesting the most appropriate policy brings about why farmhouses should cultivate the rape. To answer this question, this paper adopts a scenario analysis and the B/C ratio is used.

  • The present study was undertaken to develop the in vitro sun protection factor(SPF) test method having good correlation with in vivo method using human. 8% homomentyl salicylate. P3 reference standard and commercially available sunscreen products were measured by the in vitro method using SPF 290S analyzer. and the SPFs were compared with the SPFs measured by in vivo test method. In vitro SPFs of 8% HMS and P3 reference standard were 4.59$\pm$0.12 and 14.94$\pm$0.83. (omitted)

  • We are designed to solve cyber motion sickness, an important task that must be addressed for the growth of the virtual reality content industry. Not only the industry but also academia are paying a lot of attention. However, despite long interest and research on the phenomenon of cyber motion sickness, a solution has not been drawn. This is deeply related to the lack of tools that can effectively measure cyber motion sickness. Therefore, in this paper, prior studies on cyber motion sickness were analyzed to develop a tool that can effectively measure cyber motion sickness when users experience immersive virtual reality. The measurement method of cyber motion sickness used in previous studies, each characteristic and limitation, and common factors related to cyber motion sickness were analyzed. Each of the related factors was derived as sub-factors. Based on the analyzed contents, an effective cyber motion sickness measurement evaluation tool model in immersive virtual reality was presented. It is expected that the evaluation tool model can be used for the study of cyber motion sickness.
