Purpose. This study purposed to examine consciousness of biomedical ethics and nursing professional values in nursing students. In addition, by identifying the relationship between consciousness of biomedical ethics and their nursing professional values. Methods. We collected data from 184 nursing students using a structured questionnaire, which were constructed to include Consciousness of biomedical ethics and Nursing professional values. The collected data was analyzed descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients with SPSS 20.0 Results. Average score for consciousness of biomedical ethics in nursing students was $2.92{\pm}.16$ and that of nursing professional values was $3.61{\pm}.34$. Among the sub-areas of consciousness of biomedical ethics, right to life of newborn was highest. In addition, among the sub-area of nursing professional values, The roles of nursing service was highest. A statistically significant positive correlation was observed between consciousness of biomedical ethics and their nursing professional values in nursing students. Conclusion. The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to increase the consciousness of biomedical ethics and to encourage nursing professional values.

The purposes of this study were to examine effects of individual's ethics on corporation ethics and corporation ethics management and perception for corporation ethics management innovation system, and to compare consumers' and entrepreneurs' perceptions toward innovation system for ethics management in fashion industry. The subject used for this study were 260 subjects (117 consumer and 143 entrepreneurs). For data analysis, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlations, Cronbach's alpha, regression, and t-test were used. As the results, first, ethic values on idealism and machiavellism significantly influenced on the business ethics. Business ethics also affected on business ethics management. In addition, business ethics management influenced on perception for ethics management innovation system. Finally, there were significant differences between consumers and entrepeneurs on perceptions toward innovation system for ethics management. Based on these results, prevention marketing strategies of counterfeit goods would be provided.

The purpose of this study is to research new paradigms of environmental ethics and environmental ethics education to overcome ecological crisis and to develop an alternative model of systematic environmental ethics education for establishing eco-centred life values. According to deep ecologists, they assert the necessity of basic reorientation of crucial components of present political, economic and social orders to overcome ecological crisis today. This means the movement from the mechanistic worldview to the ecological worldview and the shift from Dominant Social Paradigm(DSP) to New Ecological Paradigm(NEP). Environmental ethics education should be 'eco-centred environmental ethics education'which makes some contribution to overcome ecological crisis and to create new alternatives. Also it should be not a simple behavior change but 'eco-centred environmental ethics education', what is called, as 'ecological literacy education'which changes the views of values, thoughts and attitudes etc. In this, as a new social curriculum, 'ecological literacy education'means to cultivate the ability which can recognize environmental problems correctly and to overcome ecological crisis wisely we face with today. To perform this ecological environmental ethics education, we suggested 'eco-centred life values', we place a criterion of moral value judgment according to 'ecological conscience'on 'life', and we presented 'an alternative model of environmental ethics education' giving consideration to human being, nature and environment at the same time.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify nursing students' perception of patient rights, their ethical values and biomedical ethics awareness, and to examine the factors affecting the nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness. Methods: The participants of this study were 273 nursing students in B and K metropolitan city. Data collection was conducted through the structured questionnaires from March 2 to March 25, 2016. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS WIN v 21.0. Results: The mean scores of nursing students' perception of patient rights, ethical values and biomedical ethics awareness were $4.56{\pm}0.38$, $3.26{\pm}0.31$, $2.91{\pm}0.20$, respectively. Biomedical ethics awareness was positively correlated with the nursing students' perceptions of patient rights (r=.38, p<.001) and ethical values (r=.25, p<.001). Factors affecting the nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness were the perception of patient rights (${\beta}=.36$, p<.001) and ethical values (${\beta}=.13$, p=.023). Conclusion: The results suggest that nursing educational program should include perception of patient rights and ethical values to foster biomedical ethics awareness for nursing students.

Objectives: This study sought to provide basic data for the establishment of a desirable sense of ethics in medical service by analyzing the consciousness of biomedical ethics of nursing students. Methods: Subjects were nursing students selected from four-year and three-year nursing colleges (n=355 and 360, respectively) in D city and G buk-Do region. The Data was analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression. Results: The average point of the consciousness of biomedical ethics was 2.99. As result of analyzing general and specific aspects of the consciousness of biomedical ethics, statistically significant differences were found in age, religion, participation in religious activity, kinds of student group activity in subjects, ethical values, experience of hearing for biomedical ethics, quantity and quality of biomedical ethics in the current curriculum, the experience of conflict for biomedical ethical problem in subjects. The predicting variables that influence the consciousness of biomedical ethics, ethical values, quantity and quality of biomedical ethics in the current curriculum, religion, age, and experience of hearing for biomedical ethics. Conclusions: An arbitration program that could promote either changeable or controllable ethical values must be considered with attention to the significant variables that can promote the consciousness of biomedical ethics of nursing students.

Recently there has arisen an increasing world-wide emphasis on teaching ethics within the engineering curriculum. Much of the teaching has relied on the use of an American model emphasizing autonomy and professional identification. This paper argues that this model is inadequate when engineering is seen in a global perspective, because different cultural values are dominant throughout the world, some of which stand in sharp contrast to traditional Western values based on the primacy of the individual. A new global engineering ethics thus needs to be constructed which takes into account a variety of different cultural values and local circumstances, but which is able to serve as a uniting ethical foundation for engineers throughout the world. The paper suggests that the development of a global code of engineering ethics would be a fruitful way to pursue such a strategy.

This study sought to provide basic for the establishment of desirable sense of ethics values by analyzing the consciousness of biomedical ethics of freshmen nursing students. The subjects of the study were 420 freshmen nursing students. The period of data collection was from April 1 to 6, 2012 and collected data were analyzed on SPSS/PC 19.0 program. The results is followed; First, the mean score of the consciousness of biomedical ethics was $2.39{\pm}0.25$. While the mostly high ranked category of biomedical ethics was the right to life of newborn($2.76{\pm}0.39$), the category with the lowest score was the artificial abortion($2.13{\pm}0.39$). Second, with respect to the characteristics of participants there were statistically significant difference in total score according to age, religion, and participation in religious activity, experience of hearing for biomedical ethics, sources of information for biomedical ethics, ethical values for biomedical ethics, and in intention to attend biomedical ethics in subjects. As a result, an arbitration program that could promote either changeable or controllable ethical values must be considered with attention to the significant variables that can promote the consciousness of biomedical ethics of freshmen nursing students.

Purpose: This study was performed to investigate the effects of moral sensitivity and ethical values on biomedical ethics awareness of nursing students. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used for this study. The participants were 324 nursing students from S University located in J city. The data were collected through a questionnaire survey done from September 30 to October 18, 2014. Data were analyzed using a t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The factors influencing nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness were identified as moral sensitivity(${\beta}=.34$), ethical values(${\beta}=.11$), awareness of Korean nurses' declaration of ethics(${\beta}=.15$), religion(${\beta}=.14$), and religious activity(${\beta}=.12$). Five factors explained 10.8% of nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used to develop further educational programs on the moral sensitivity and ethical values for enhancement of nursing students' biomedical ethics awareness.

Purpose: This research was to discover the value of ethics of physical therapy students and physical therapists. This study was launched to provide the bedrock for this field of study by means of getting the data about the current address of value of ethics. Methods: This investigation was conducted with 900 students from seven different universities in Republic of Korea (3, 4-year colleges) and with 350 clinical physical therapists who are currently working in the national capital region. The tool for the research was to revamp and supplement ethics codes in Korean Physical Therapy Association and a set of questions of Jeom Hui Youk (1992), Young Ran Choi (2001), etcetera and each question was provided with different points by the set of measurement we created. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 statistical program. Results: Comparing the average ethics score both on the general information of both groups and the value of ethics of both groups, we were sure to say that the average ethics score of ethics value was significantly more meaningful than that of general information. Conclusion: Physical therapy students establish a correct ethics values and physical therapists should have training in ethic values education are combined accordingly to correct the wrong ethically values and clearly established.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was conducted to evaluate the effects of an action learning-based nursing ethics education on the self-assertiveness and ethical values in nursing students. Methods: The study was a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. This study was carried out from October 19 to December 11, 2015. Participants were fifty-six undergraduate nursing students who assigned to either an action learning-based nursing ethics education or traditional lecture. Outcomes were measured assessed self-assertiveness and ethical values using questionnaires. Results: There was a significant improvement in the self-assertiveness in the experimental group who received an action learning-based nursing ethics education than the control group who undertook the traditional lecture (p=.017). However, ethical values were not statistically signigicant between two groups (p=.347). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that an action learning-based nursing ethics education for undergraduate students is very effective in promoting self-assertiveness compared to the traditional lecture.
