유휴산업시설 재생을 통한 상하이 창의공간에 나타난 디자인 표현 특성 (Characteristics of Design Expression Reflected in Creative Space in Shanghai through Regeneration of Abandoned Industrial Facilities)

  • Regeneration of abandoned industrial facilities can heighten the availability through potential values that cannot be found in newly-built buildings and through the sense of overscale space. Furthermore, backward regions can be activated by assigning their identity and establishing social-cultural infrastructures. The aim of the present study is to analyze and integrate of characteristics of design expression based on a case of creative space in Shanghai. A research on the creative space in Shanghi designedly proceeded according to government's extensive administrative support and policy. We keep appearances of industrial buildings as close as possible to their original condition, thereby revealing symbolism and forming unique characteristics that distinguish them from those of other areas. While keeping the shape characteristics of the bridge8, M50, Red Town, 2577 Greative Garden and 1933 Shanghai, we designed spaces in terms of spacial variability, oneness, accessibility and continuity and activated areas by inducing residents' participation and fostering art and cultural oriented facilities. These characteristics of design expression are factors to be considered in regenerating abandoned industrial facilities internally and hopefully they are used as a reference of design plan.

  • 1852년 영국 런던에 세계 최초의 디자인 박물관이 설립된 이후, 디자인 박물관의 상업화와 권력화에 대한 비판에도 불구하고 서구 디자인 선진국들은 디자인 박물관을 중심으로 디자인 산업을 보호하고 육성함으로써 디자인 정체성을 확립하고 그 우수성을 홍보하며 국가 경쟁력과 삶의 질을 향상시켜왔다. 21세기 문화 경제 시대를 맞아 고부가 가치를 창출하는 디자인의 중요성에 대한 인식이 높아짐에 따라 한국 디자인 발전을 주도할 디자인 박물관 설립에 대한 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 디자인 박물관 관련 연구가 미비한 현 상황에 한국 디자인 박물관 설립을 위한 기초연구로서, 시간축을 중심으로 수직적인 통시적 접근을 통해 해외 디자인 박물관이 디자인 발전을 위해 어떠한 역할을 수행하여 왔는지를 살펴보고, 수평적인 공시적 접근을 통해 현재 디자인 박물관이 성공적인 역할 수행을 위해 어떠한 활동을 하고 있는지를 알아봄으로서 한국 디자인 박물관의 역할과 방향을 제시하였다.

  • The $21^{st}$ century is the age of sentiment and image. As industrial development pushes the demands of consumers for various goods, the marketing patterns of these goods have individualized. They are expressions embedded with various meanings. Retail shops, now going beyond the practical purpose of display and sales of goods, enhancing brand images and establishing a consumer-oriented strategy, play a key role in reacting to and creating overall cultural issues. This study will analyze and investigate the Prada retail shop, which has distinguished its brand image and effectively promoted its identity through a sustained management strategy. The Prada retail shop has established an image of a cultural icon through cultural marketing. It suggests individuality and creativity along with diversity It reflects the basic concepts of cultural marketing, freedom of expression combined with information and high technology. The Prada building symbolizes the brand itself. To foster these kinds of retail shops, data and information based on continuous studies must be provided and shared, and also the systematic reinterpretation and the effective presentation of expressive trends in interior design needs to be studied on an ongoing basis.

  • This study aims to the recognize the importance of uniform design and provide empirical data to companies after getting the effects of uniform design in cosmetics companies on service quality perception and customer satisfaction. For this, a preliminary survey was conducted against 30 college women (aged 20s) from 'K' University, and effective samples were obtained from 250 people. In terms of a research method, collected data were coded and analyzed using SPSS. The respondents' characteristics were analyzed using descriptive statistics. For reliability analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was used. For a validity test, factor analysis was performed. In addition, correlation analysis was carried out to examine multicollinearity among variables. The analysis results found that the characteristics of uniform design have a positive effect on service quality and customer satisfaction. Among the characteristic of uniform design, however, functionality wasn't confirmed in a relational test. This kind of result was obtained because the uniform was mostly analyzed from customers' perspective, not from the wearer's standpoint. It is expected that the study results would be helpful in establishing brand identity through the improvement of the importance of uniform design.

한의학(韓醫學)의 특징(特徵)과 노자철학(老子哲學)의 연관성(聯關性) -"황제내경(黃帝內經)"과 "도덕경(道德經)"을 중심으로- (Interrelation between the Korean Traditional Medicine and Taoism)

  • In this paper, we will discuss the main characteristics of Korean traditional medicine and their bond with the philosophy of Noja(老子) to ultimately examine how "Dodeokgyeong(道德經)" affected medicine as a pragmatic field of study. Noja(老子) viewed the universe and the creatures living in it to be constituted by gi(氣), and that everything continuously moves and changes as a result of the conflicts between two opposing energies within, eum(陰) and yang(陽). "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)" is about how this theory is applied to human lives. "Dodeokgyeong" speaks of the Heaven, Human, and Do accordance, offering the theoretical basis for the correspondence between nature and human in the "Hwangjenaegyeong", where the Heaven, Human and Do(道) accordance theory is embodied into each element of the human vital activity, establishing the identity of Korean traditional medicine as natural medicine. Noja declared life in accordance with Do(道) as an ideal way to live. "Hwangjenaegyeong" applies this idea to human vital activity setting the realization of Do the ultimate goal of life and offers actual guidelines. The preventive aspect of Korean traditional medicine is the characteristic most affected by "Dodeokgyeong". "Hwangjenaegyeong" and "Dodeokgyeong" both recognized the relativity of objects, and spoke of harmony and balance as the answer to conflicts between matters.

호손의 독자 조종: '머리말'을 중심으로 (Hawthorne's control of the reader represented in his prefaces)

  • Nathaniel Hawthorne seems to realize the reader's role in bringing his creation of fiction to completion. Almost all of Hawthorne's prefaces may be considered in terms of their contribution to the writer's narrative strategy. When he refers to the audience in the prefatory essay, "The Custom-House" and other prefaces to his major works as "the Reader," Hawthorne is establishing a mutual complicity that will continue throughout the following narratives. According to this rhetorical alliance, the writer's obligation is to get the story into the reader's imagination by any means possible, while the reader's share is to believe the story as much as possible while it is being told. The ultimate issue is thus not whether any event actually happened as Hawthorne reports it but whether readers are willing to grant the event credence while they are reading. Hawthorne's relationship with his audience is not congenial. In his prefaces, Hawthorne sometimes reveals a narrator who evades a fixed identity. The introduction of an unreliable narrator helps illuminate the unresolved, elusive ambiguity in Hawthorne's stories. Hawthorne seeks to make his narrative ambiguous frequently utilizing the very same indeterminacy so often cherished by poststructuralists. No critical term may be more firmly associated with the works of Hawthorne than ambiguity. Looking for new readers with more fresh eyes, Hawthorne's narratives always remain open to reinterpretation. After all, Hawthorne's prefaces (sometimes including unreliable narrators) help him become one of the most frustrating and fascinating novelists.

아파트 커뮤니티전문가의 직무와 역량 지표 개발 연구 (A Study on Development of the Job Components and Competency Indicators for Apartment Community Specialist)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop components of task and competency indicators for apartment community specialist who supports for community activations. The research process consists of three parts. Firstly, the direction of developing competency indicator set up by literature review related community, job components, and competency indicators. Second, analysing of job and competency indicators were developed and revised through focus group interview (FGI), and questionnaire survey on 6 experts in community area. Third, questionnaire survey from 20 community specialists in seoul was performed in order to analyze the importance of the competency components. As a result of this research, selected competency indicators were settled as followed : the competency indicators for apartment community specialist consisted of 3 competency clusters, 14 competency factors, 48 competency indicators. Community specialist recognized attitude and personal trait as the most important competency clusters, and understanding of community, interpersonal relations and communication skill, and vocational ethics and social responsibility as important factors in the competency indicators. The results of this study will used as tool for evaluating the job and competency of apartment community specialist, establishing professional identity of apartment community specialist, and providing an importance knowledge base for developing educational curriculum for them.

간호사 경력이 있는 Tai Chi 강사의 교육경험 (Teaching Experience of Tai Chi Instructors with Nursing Background)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to describe the meaning units of the teaching experience of Tai Chi instructor with nursing background, consequently to expand areas where nurses can work. Methods: Participants were four nurses who have worked as Tai Chi instructors for 5 to 8 years. An in-depth interview was conducted from June, 2010 to February, 2011. Each interview took 40 min to 4 hours. The data were analyzed with qualitative content analysis, by repeatedly listening to the tapes and reading the transcription to find the emerged meaningful words, phrases, and sentences. Results: Through the content analysis, 19 theme clusters were emerged and grouped together into seven categories: 'establishing my identity as an instructor', 'enjoying myself practicing Tai Chi', 'being confident about teaching Tai Chi with nursing background', 'exploring better ways to teach and motivate the class', 'feeling good about helping people to be healthy', 'accepting teaching Tai Chi as a lifetime job', 'contributing to health promotion with Tai Chi." Conclusion: Teaching and helping others to promote health were parts of nursing. Tai Chi can be used to promote health in the low-income population with limited access to health care system.

A SECURITY ARCHITECTURE FOR THE INTERNET OF THINGS

  • This paper demonstrates a case for an end-to-end pure Application Security Layer for reliable and confidential communications within an Internet of Things (IoT) constrained environment. To provide a secure key exchange and to setup a secure data connection, Transport Layer Security (TLS) is used, which provides native protection against replay attacks. TLS along with digital signature can be used to achieve non-repudiation within app-to-app communications. This paper studies the use of TLS over the JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) via a The Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) RESTful service to verify the hypothesis that in this way one can provide end-to-end communication flexibility and potentially retain identity information for repudiation. As a proof of concept, a prototype has been developed to simulate an IoT software client with the capability of hosting a CoAP RESTful service. The prototype studies data requests via a network client establishing a TLS over JSON session using a hosted CoAP RESTful service. To prove reputability and integrity of TLS JSON messages, JSON messages was intercepted and verified against simulated MITM attacks. The experimental results confirm that TLS over JSON works as hypothesised.

소비자 유형별 화장품 브랜드 이미지와 충성도와의 관계에 대한 탐색적 연구 - 저가 화장품 시장을 중심으로 - (An Exploratory Study of the Relationship between Cosmetic Brand Image and Loyalty as Consumer Types - Focused on Low-Priced Cosmetics -)

  • The purpose of this research was to find out types of consumers for low price cosmetics in domestic market. And on the presumption that there would be differences on impact of brand image and brand loyalty depending on types of consumers, this study started from the possibility of establishing marketing strategy from the standpoint from such difference in types of consumers. Accordingly the classified types of consumers were presented on the basis of similar research data and data published in relevant professional literature. Analysis was undertook on kinds of impact of brand image, brand satisfaction, brand sense of identity and brand attitude which were constituent elements of brand assets on brand loyalty. Analysis showed that causative relationship between constituent elements of branch assets is different depending on types of consumers. Result of this study suggests that there is a certain need for reviewing types of consumers in order to heighten level of brand loyalty in connection with strategy for low price cosmetics brand marketing in domestic market.
