  • Cognitive radio (CR) is considered one of the most promising next-generation communication systems; it has the ability to sense and make use of vacant channels that are unused by licensed users. Reliable detection of the licensed users' signals is an essential element for a CR network. Cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) is able to offer better sensing performance as compared to individual sensing. The presence of malicious users who falsify sensing data can severely degrade the sensing performance of the CSS scheme. In this paper, we investigate a secure CSS scheme, based on the Kullback-Leibler Divergence (KL-divergence) theory, in order to identify malicious users and mitigate their harmful effect on the sensing performance of CSS in a CR network. The simulation results prove the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

  • In this study, the safety of the driving gear reducer of ESW(essential service water) traveling sea water screen was evaluated through seismic analysis. Mode analysis of gear reducer was performed for reliability of analysis. Seismic analysis was performed in operating basis earthquake(OBE) and safe shutdown earthquake(SSE), which were applied as design condition using floor response spectrum( FRS). The maximum strain of gear reducer under OBE and SSE were 20.4 ${\mu}$ and 33.6 ${\mu}$, respectively. The maximum stresses were 2.42 MPa under OBE condition and 4.36 MPa under SSE condition, which were smaller than the allowable strength of material.

  • Progesterone immunogen has been synthesized and its melting point, Rf-value, UV and IR spectrum have been measured to develope the essential step in antisera production against low molecular weight substance. Mixed anhydride reaction was used to conjugate $11{\alpha}$-hydroxy-progesterone with succinic anhydride. Melting point of one intermediate compound was $156^{\circ}C$, and Rf-value was 0.41 in benzene : acetone : methanol (5 : 5 : 2). Maximum absorbance was measured at 242nm and ${\varepsilon}$ was $1.641{\times}10^4cm^2/mole$. Loss of hydroxy group was observed at 3450nm, and carbonyl group was appeared at 1160nm, 1250nm and 2960nm. These results indicated that the intermediate compound was progesterone hemisuccinate. Maximum absorbance of progesterone bovine-serum albumin(BSA) conjugate was observed at 250nm. Molar ratio of progesterone to BSA was average 15.4 on UV spectrum.

  • A Fabry-Perot interferometer has a very high (~1,000,000) resolution, so recently this has been widely used for many fields of space science. To understand the working principle of this a mathematical modeling is needed, and to analyze the interferogram it is essential to know the precise instrument function. The spectrum from the interferometer is mixed with a true signal from the light source and the instrument function through convolution. The true signal has the information about the quantum state of mo lecules, temperature and bulk motion of the gas. Therefore if we model the signal and convolve this with the theoretical instrument function we can predict the spectrum for the real case.

  • Increasing the aesthetic needs of patients and decreasing the use of amalgam had led to increased demand for dental resin composite. Thereby, light curing unit (LCU) has become an essential equipment in dental clinic. To ensure long-term prognosis of photopolymerized materials, LCU should have a uniform and consistent radiant output and an emission spectrum that includes the active wavelength range of photoinitiators. In addition, when the correct use and thorough maintenance and repair of LCU are performed, the higher success rate of restoration using photopolymerization materials will be achieved.

  • An aspartase purified from Hafnia alvei was inactivated by diethylpyrocarbonate (DEP) in a pseudo-first-order inactivation. The first-order plot was biphasic. The inactivation process was not saturable and the second order rate constant was $1.3\;M^{-1}s^{-1}$. The inactivated aspartase was reactivated with NH₂OH. The difference absorption spectrum of DEP-inactivated vs native enzyme preparations revealed a marked peak around 242 nm. The pH dependence of the inactivation rate suggests that an amino acid residue having a pK value of 7.2 was involved in the inactivation. L-aspartate, fumarate (substrates), and chloride ion (inhibitor) protected the enzyme against inactivation, indicating that histidine residues for the enzyme activity are located at the active site of this aspartase. Inspection of the presence and absence of $Cl^-$ ion demonstrated that the number of essential histidine residues is less than two. Thus, one or two histidines are in or near the aspartate binding site and participate in an essential step of the catalytic reaction.

  • Nowadays, the wide spectrum of changes have been occurred in library world. It is essential for librarians to improve their professionalization standards to convert these changes into the o n.0, pportunity of growth. The device of improvement of professionalization standards is following: 1. Librarians have to receive formal and informal education and learn to advance in knowledge and skill concerning library affairs continually. 2. Self learning has to be transform into learning organization. 3. Education of Librarianship concentrate mainly in practical and technical study by this time but it is indispensable to develop the theory and philosophy of librarianship.

  • The volatile components of Eutrema wasabi were prepared by distillation and ether extraction. The extracts were similar in the color, the odor, and the antimicrobial activity to allylisothiocyanate, the main ingredient of wasabi essential oil. The antimicdrobial activity of the extracts was evaluated and it was found that these had the antibacterial effect against a broad spectrum of pathogenic bacterial such as Staphylococcus, Escherichia, Pseudomonas and Salmonella.

  • In [5] it was shown that if T .mem. L(X) is regular on a Banach space X, with finite dimensional intersection T$^{-1}$ (0).cap.T(X) and if S .mem. L(X) is invertible, commute with T and has sufficiently small norm then T - S in upper semi-Fredholm, and hence essentially one-one, in the sense that the null space of T - S is finite dimensional ([4] Theorem 2; [5] Theorem 2). In this note we extend this result to incomplete normed space.

  • Recently, as the demands for radio spectrum are growing and the number of cell sites is increasing rapidly, the spectrum engineering plays an important role in estimating frequency sharing and reuse. The radio propagation analysis is essential in the basic technology of radio network design such as deciding the service area and selecting the position of the base station. But, domestic propagation environment in which mountainous region is occupying over 70% of our terrain does not allow us to apply foreign studies which are deduced in highly different environments. Therefore, we need to have our propagation analysis system derived from our own terrain condition. In this paper, we propose the propagation prediction model which issuitable toour propagation environment, and also usinghis model, we implement thesimulator based on GIS(Geographic Information System)which can be applied to both spectrum engineering and radio propagation analysis. We showed that this simulator can well be applied to frequency assignment, propagation network design as well as other radio services. Considering the results of our analysis, we could guarantee the standard deviation of error between the measured data and predicted results as 5 to 7 dB.
