This paper proposes a multilevel vector error diffusion for fast and accurate color reproduction. Proposed method considered both hue angle and Euclidean distance during the multilevel vector error diffusion procedure to improve time complexity and output image quality In the error diffusion process, it can be determined whether error is diffused or not by comparing the vector norm and lightness value between original vector and error corrected vector of neighborhood pixels. For adaptive selection of output patch, this paper computes chroma value of error corrected vector and compares the hue angle between error corrected input vector and 64 primary color vectors.
This paper proposes the multi-level vector error diffusion for smear artifact reduction in the boundary regions. Smear artifact mainly results from a large accumulation of quantization error. Accordingly, to reduce these artifacts, the proposed method excludes the large quantization error in the error diffusion process by comparing the magnitude of the error vector with predetermined first threshold. In addition, if the vector norm of the difference between the error adjusted input vector and the primary co]or that has minimum vector norm for the error adjusted input vector is larger than second threshold, the error is excluded. As a result, the proposed method reduce smear artifact in the boundary region and produces visually pleasing halftone pattern.

The higher precision is demanded in modem manufacturing and it requires the more accurate servo controller. Cross-coupling control (CCC) has been developed to improve contouring motion. In this paper we introduce a new nonlinear CCC that is based on contour-error-vector using a parametric curve interpolator. A vector from the actual tool position to the nearest point on the desire path is directly adopted. The contour-error-vector is determined by constructing a tangential vector of nearest point on desired curve and determining the vector perpendicular to this tangential vector from the actual tool position. Moreover, the vector CCC can apply directly and easily to free-form curves include convex and concave form. The experimental results on a three-axis CNC machine center show that the present approach significantly improves motion accuracy in multi-axis motion
This paper proposes the used of genetic algorithm for optimizing PI controller and describes the dynamic modeling simulation for the permanent magnet synchronous motor driven by simplified vector control with the aid of MATLAB-Simulink environment. Furthermore, three kinds of error criterion minimization, integral absolute error, integral square error, and integral time absolute error, are used as objective function in the genetic algorithm. The modeling procedures and simulation results are described and presented in this paper. Computer simulation results indicate that the genetic algorithm was able to optimize the PI controller and gives good control performance of the system. Moreover, simplified vector control on permanent magnet synchronous motor does not need to regulate the direct axis component current. This makes simplified vector control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor very useful for some special applications that need simple control structure and low cost performance.

This paper proposes a vector error diffusion method for smear artifact reduction in the boundary region. This artifact mainly results from a large accumulation of quantization errors. In particular, color bands with a smear artifact, the width of a few pixels appear along the edges. Accordingly, to reduce this artifact, the proposed halftoning process excludes the large accumulated Quantization error by comparing the vector norms and vector angles between the error-corrected vector and eight primary color patches. When the vector norm of the error corrected vector is larger than those of eight primary color patches, the quantization error vector is excluded from the quantization error distribution process. In addition, the quantization error is also excluded when the angle between eight primary color patches and error corrected vector is large. As a result, the proposed method enables a visually pleasing halftone pattern to be generated by all three color separations into account in a device- independent color space and reduces smear artifact in the boundary regions.

The growing need for higher precision and productivity in manufacturing industry has lead to an increased interest in computer numerical control (CNC) systems. It is well known fact that the cross-coupling controller (CCC) is an effective method for contouring applications. In this paper, a multi-axis contour error controller (CEC) based on a contour error vector using parametric curve interpolator is introduced. The contour error vector is a vector from the actual tool position to the nearest point on the desired path. The contour error vector is the closest error model to the contour error. The simulation results show that the CEC is more accurate than the conventional CCC for a biaxial motion system. In addition, the experimental results on 3-axis motion system show that the CEC is simply applied to 3-axis motions and contouring accuracy is significantly improved.
In this paper, we propose an optimal feature extraction method for normally distributed multiclass data. We search the whole feature space to find a set of features that give the smallest classification error for the Gaussian ML classifier. Initially, we start with an arbitrary feature vector. Assuming that the feature vector is used for classification, we compute the classification error. Then we move the feature vector slightly and compute the classification error with this vector. Finally we update the feature vector such that the classification error decreases most rapidly. This procedure is done by taking gradient. Alternatively, the initial vector can be those found by conventional feature extraction algorithms. We propose two search methods, sequential search and global search. Experiment results show that the proposed method compares favorably with the conventional feature extraction methods.

Numerical solution lot frictional contact problems of nonlinearly deformable bodies having large deformation is presented. The contact conditions on the possible contact points are expressed by using the contact error vector, and the iterative scheme is used to reduce the contact error vector monotonically toward zero. At each iteration the solution consists of two steps : The first step is to revise the contact force by using the contact error vector given by the previous geometry, and the second step is to compute the displacement and the contact error vector by solving the equilibrium equation with the contact force given at the first step. Convergence of the iterative scheme to the correct solution is analyzed, and the numerical simulations we performed with a rigid-plastic membrane and a nonlinear elastic beam.
In forecasting realized volatility of the major US stock price indexes (S&P 500, Russell 2000, DJIA, Nasdaq 100), internet search volume reflecting investor's interests and implied volatility are used to improve forecast via a deep learning method of the LSTM. The LSTM method combined with search volume index produces better forecasts than existing standard methods of the vector autoregressive (VAR) and the vector error correction (VEC) models. It also beats the recently proposed vector error correction heterogeneous autoregressive (VECHAR) model which takes advantage of the cointegration relation between realized volatility and implied volatility.

This paper presents new attitude error differential equations to define attitude errors as the rotation vector for inertial navigation systems. Attitude errors are defined with the rotation vector between the reference coordinate frame and the platform coordinate frame, and Platform dynamics to the reference coordinate frame due to platform torque command errors are defined. Using these concepts for attitude error definition and platform dynamics, we have derived attitude error differential equations expressed in original nonlinear form for GINS and SDINS and showed that these are equivalent to attitude error differential equations expressed in known linear form. The relation between attitude errors defined by the rotation vector and attitude errors defined by quaternion is clearly presented as well.
