호기성 고정생물막반응기에서 동일 질량부하의 수리학적 및 농도충격부하시 반응의 비교 (Comparison of Aerobic Fixed-film Process Response to Quantitative and Hydraulic Shock for the Same Increases in Mass Loading)

  • The objective of this study was to examine and compare to transient response to quantitative and hydraulic shocks which produce equal changes in mass rate of organic feed in aerobic fixed-film process. The general experimental approach was to operate the system at several growth rates under steady-state(pre-shock) conditions, then to apply step changes during day 3 in dilution rate(hydraulic shock) , or feed concentration(Quantitative shock) at the same organic mass loading rate. Performance was assessed in both the transient state and the new steady-state (post- shock). Shock load of different type did not produced equivalent disruptions of effluent quality for equal increases in mass loading rate. Based on effluent concentrations, a hydraulic and a Quantitative shock at the same mass loading caused equal increase in total effluent COD, but the increase was primarily a result of suspended solids the hydraulic shock and COD in the quantitative shock. The time which effluent COD came to peak values were about 32~48 hours at the low organic loads and 52 ~ 72 hours at the high organic loads, respectively A quantitative shock produced a much greater increase in effluent COD than did a hydraulic shock at the same mass loading. Mean and peak values of effluent concentration weve increased in 2.8~4.2 times at low organic loading rate, 5.2~6.6 times at the high organic loading rate, respectively.   • 실험장비의 용량 제약, 경제적인 이유 등으로 지진하중에 대한 구조물의 동적 거동을 연구할 경우, 보편적으로 축소모형이 많이 적용되고 있다. 그러나 구조물의 지진응답은 비탄성 거동을 나타내기 때문에 거동예측이 복잡함에도 불구하고, 축소모형의 지진실험 결과로부터 원형구조물의 지진응답을 유추하기 위한 상사법칙의 연구는 미비한 실정이다. RC구조물의 축소모형 제작 시 상사율이 커지면 상대적으로 부가질량이 증가하며, 또한 굵은 골재 크기의 영향으로 원형구조물과 축소모형의 제작에 동일한 재료를 사용하지 않는 것이 바람직하다. 따라서 동일한 재료를 사용하지 않을 경우, 상사법칙은 기하학적인 상사율과 재료적인 등가탄성계수비에 의존하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 원형구조물과 축소모형에 각각 적용되는 normal-concrete와 micro-concrete의 재료 비선형성을 파악하기 위해 압축강도시험을 수행하여, 재료의 거동구간을 등가의 다단계로 나누어 등가탄성계수비를 적용시킴으로써 지진손상의 정도를 고려할 수 있는 Equivalent multi-phase similitude law를 유도하였다. 이러한 상사법칙을 적용한 유사동적실험 알고리즘을 구축하여 수치해석적인 검증을 수행하여 유사동적실험의 적용성을 확인하였다.

광주 지역에서 aethalometer 측정 블랙 카본 입자의 질량흡수단면 평가 (Aethalometer-based Estimate of Mass Absorption Cross Section of Black Carbon Particles at an Urban Site of Gwangju)

  • In this study, real-time absorption coefficients of carbonaceous species in $PM_{2.5}$ was observed using a dual-spot 7-wavelength Aethalometer between November 1, 2016 and December 31, 2017 at an urban site of Gwangju. In addition, 24-hr integrated $PM_{2.5}$ samples were simultaneously collected at the same site and analyzed for organic carbon and elemental carbon (OC and EC) using the thermal-optical transmittance protocol. A main objective of this study was to estimate mass absorption cross section (MAC) values of black carbon (BC) particles at the study site using the linear regression between aethalometer-based absorption coefficient and filter-based EC concentration. BC particles observed at 880 nm is mainly emitted from combustion of fossil fuels, and their concentration is typically reported as equivalent BC concentration (eBC). eBC concentration calculated using MAC value of $7.77m^2/g$ at wavelength of 880 nm, which was proposed by a manufacturer, ranged from 0.3 to $7.4{\mu}g/m^3$ with an average value of $1.9{\pm}1.2{\mu}g/m^3$, accounting for 7.3% (1.5~20.9%) of $PM_{2.5}$. The relationship between aerosol absorption coefficients at 880 nm and EC concentrations provided BC MAC value of $15.2m^2/g$, ranging from 11.4 to $16.2m^2/g$. The eBC concentrations calculated using the estimated MAC of $15.2m^2/g$ were significantly lower than those reported originally from aethalometer, and ranged from 0.2 to $3.8{\mu}g/m^3$, with an average of $1.0{\pm}0.6{\mu}g/m^3$, accounting for 3.7% of $PM_{2.5}$ (0.8~10.7%). Result from this study suggests that if the MAC value recommended by the manufacturer is applied to calculate the equivalent BC concentration and radiative forcing due to BC absorption, they would result in significant errors, implying investigation of an unique MAC value of BC particles at a study site.

수도권 지역의 탄소 성분 에어로졸 측정 연구: KORUS-AQ 2016 캠페인 기간을 중심으로 (A Study of Carbonaceous Aerosols Measurement in Metropolitan Area Performed during KORUS-AQ 2016 Campaign)

  • Carbonaceous aerosols such as the equivalent black carbon (eBC), the elemental carbon (EC) and the organic carbon (OC) were monitored at the Seoul Olympic Park site ($37.521^{\circ}N$, $127.124^{\circ}E$) during the KORUS-AQ 2016 campaign using a Multi Angle Absorption Photometer (MAAP) and an OCEC Analyzer. Averaged mass concentrations of eBC, EC and OC were presented as $2.46{\pm}1.52{\mu}g/m^3$, $1.01{\pm}0.60{\mu}g/m^3$ and $4.85{\pm}2.60{\mu}g/m^3$, respectively. OC/EC ratio and mass absorption cross-section (MAC) of light absorbing aerosols were calculated as 2.32 and $14.8m^2/g$, respectively. Diesel OC concentrations were estimated from a source profile of diesel vehicles as well. eBC mass concentrations measured from May $26^{th}$ to May $27^{th}$, 2016 showed 40% higher than averaged eBC mass concentrations during campaign period. $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations measured in this period were also higher than average $PM_{2.5}$ concentrations. High eBC concentrations were observed from May $29^{th}$ to May $31^{st}$, 2016 and from June $9^{th}$ to June $11^{th}$, 2016, possibly due to morning rush hour and the effect of temperature inversion at night. Diurnal variations of eBC, EC and Diesel OC showed a typical pattern of metropolitan area. In the weekend, however, diurnal variations of eBC, EC and Diesel OC mass concentrations were different from those measured in the weekday. It is expected that this study can help to understand the relationship between carbonaceous aerosols in a metropolitan area.

At present, we adopted the controller as spindle motor drive for Samsung CNC systems, and expect its wide use in industry as general purpose velocity and position controller for induction motor.

  • This study outlines the analysis of toggle system and the vibration control performance when the toggle-rotational inertia damper system was applied to a structure. Numerical analysis shows that the relative displacement of the structure can be amplified by amplification mechanism of the toggle system and the capacity of the damper can be reduced without the loss of vibration control performance. It is also observed that vibration control effects is caused by the increase of equivalent mass due to the rotational inertia of damper.

  • 본 연구에서는 기계 기구의 각속도 변동을 줄이는데 사용되는 플라이휠을 운동에너지의 법칙을 이용하여 해석하고, 주어진 허용 각속도 변동률을 정확히 만족하 는 플라이휠의 크기를 결정하는 새로운 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 수치 해석을 통하 여 본 해석방법에 의해 설계된 플라이휠과 종래 방법에 의한 플라이휠의 성능을 비교 하였다.

As far as noise is concerned, however a light aluminum structure, instead of a steel frame, should have an equivalent mass density in order to maintain sound insulation performance. 스파크 점화 기관의 노크 모델에 관한 연구 (A study on knock model in spark ignition engine)

  • Spark knock obstructs any improvement in the efficiency and performance of an engine. As the knock mechanism of spark ignition engine, the detonation and the autoignition theory have been offered. In this paper, the knock model was established, which was able to predict the onset of knock and knock timing of spark ignition engine by the basis of autoignition theory. This model was a function of engine speed and equivalent air-fuel ratio. When this established knock model was tested from 1000rpm to 3000rpm of engine speed data, maximum error was crank angle 2 degrees between measured and predicted knock time. And the main results were as follows by the experimental analysis of spark knock in spark ignition engine. 1) Knock frequency was increased as engine speed increased. 2) Knock amplitude was increased as mass of end gas increased. 3) Knock frequency was occured above minimum 18% mass fraction of end gas.
