다중 다공판 시스템의 흡음계수 계산에 있어서 전기음향등가회로법의 오류 (The Error Involved in the Equivalent Electroacoustic Circuit Approach for the Estimation of the Absorption Coefficient of Multiple Layer Perforated Plate Systems)

  • The equivalent electroacoustic circuit approach has been conventionally used for estimating the absorption coefficient of a single layer perforated plate system. When the single layer system is extended to the multiple layer ones, however, it is found that an analogy error has been involved in the equivalent electroacoustic parallel circuit approach proposed by previous investigators. The analogy error is demonstrated by the corrected equivalent electroacoustic circuit approach in this study.

  • In this paper, we introduce a procedure to obtain a equivalent circuit of comb-line band pass filter. By employing equivalent circuits of each asymmetrical coupled line. we composed the full equivalent circuit of comb-line bandpass filter and derived simple design equations for extracting each line's impedance. To show the validity of design equations, we simulated and fabricated a planar type comb-line bandpass filter, which has center frequency 1.8㎓, band-width 50㎒ and four resonators. The resulting filter is very compact, have broad stop band with the second pass band centered at four times the center frequency of the first pass band. The experimental results show exact performances of design specification.

  • Dynamic response of organic light-emitting diodes were analyzed in $ITO/Alq_3$(100 nm)/Al device structure with a variation of voltage an frequency. At low frequency region, complex impedance is mostly governed by resistive component, and at high frequency region by capacitive component. Also, we have evaluated resistance, capacitance and permittivity of devices.

  • A new meander-line antenna consisting of two open-ended strips is proposed for a compact and broadband UHF radio frequency identification tag. An equivalent circuit model for the proposed antenna is derived and used to perform a simple and wideband impedance match to an arbitrary complex impedance of a tag chip without any additional matching network. The performance of the proposed antenna is validated by comparing calculated and measured results, which show good agreement.

  • The method proposed by Carson contains indefinite complex integral which simulates earth return current. Although the Carson solution is proposed with power series, the solution is limited and valid at special range of frequency. We proposed a simplified Carson solution by modelling earth current path analytical method using ground transmission line return current. In this paper, we studied on trying to find the equivalent distance for earth current return path.

  • Direct Carbon Fuel Cell(DCFC) is one of new power generation that the chemical energy of solid carbon can be converted into electrical energy directly. At the high temperature, the electrochemical reaction of the carbon takes place and the carbon reacts with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide as followed overall reaction ($C+O_2{\rightarrow}CO_2$). However, in case of using the raw coals as a fuel of DCFC, the volatile matter containing carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen produces at operating temperature. In this study, the electrochemical reaction of Adaro coal was compared with Graphite. This work focused on the electrochemical reaction of two kinds of solid carbon by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy(EIS). The EIS results were estimated by equivalent circuit analysis. The constant phase element(CPE) was applied in Randle circuit to explain an electrode and fuel interface. The correlation between the fuel characteristic and electrochemical results was discussed by elements of equivalent circuit of each fuel.

  • 비록 접지저항은 접지전극의 접지성능을 좌우하는 지수이기는 하지만, 과도상태에서는 접지 성능을 반영하지 못한다. 동봉은 배전계통에서 가장 많이 쓰이는 접지전극이다. 본 논문에서는 동봉의 접지 임피던스를 주파수 60[Hz]에서 100[kHz] 범위까지 측정하여 등가 접지임피던스 모델을 구하였다. 뇌격서지가 유입되었을 때 MATLAB 프로그램으로 과도접지임피던스의 수치와 파형을 시뮬레이션하였다.

Equivalent Transmission-Line Sections for Very High Impedances and Their Application to Branch-Line Hybrids with Very Weak Coupling Power

  • As operating frequency is raised and as more integration with active and passive elements is required, it becomes difficult to fabricate more than 120 ${\Omega}$ characteristic impedance of a mierostrip line. To solve this problem, an equivalent high impedance transmission-line section is suggested, which consists mainly of a pair of coupled-line sections with two shorts. However, it becomes a transmission-line section only when its electrical length is fixed and its coupling power is more than half. To have transmission-line characteristics(perfect matching), independently of coupling power and electrical length, two identical open stubs are added and conventional design equations of evenand odd-mode impedances are modified, based on the fact that the modified design equations have the linear combinations of conventional ones. The high impedance transmission-line section is a passive component and therefore should be perfectly matched, at least at a design center frequency. For this, two different solutions are derived for the added open stub and two types of high impedance transmission-line sections with 160 ${\Omega}$ characteristic impedance are simulated as the electrical lengths of the coupled-line sections are varied. The simulation results show that the determination of the available bandwidth location depends on which solution is chosen. As an application, branch-line hybrids with very weak coupling power are investigated, depending on where an isolated port is located, and two types of branch-line hybrids are derived for each case. To verify the derived branch-line hybrids, a microstrip branch-line hybrid with -15 dB coupling power, composed of two 90$^{\circ}$ and two 270$^{\circ}$ transmission-line sections, is fabricated on a substrate of ${\varepsilon}_r$= 3.4 and h=0.76 mm and measured. In this case, 276.7 ${\Omega}$ characteristic impedance is fabricated using the suggested high impedance transmission-line sections. The measured coupling power is -14.5 dB, isolation and matching is almost perfect at a design center frequency of 2 GHz, showing good agreement with the prediction.

  • A new method is developed to extract model parameters of SiGe HBT equivalent circuit including the base impedance and base-collector junction capacitance. Using this method, all resistances and capacitances of SiGe HBT are independently determined from measured S-parameters using two-port parameter formula. This method is proposed to reduce possible errors generated from global optimization process, and its accuracy has been verified by finding good agreements between measured and modeled current / power gain up to 18 GHz.
