  • In Recent, it became necessary to develope the technology about electrodeless fluorescent lamp according to demand of the electodeless fluorescent lamp system that used higher efficiency and advantage of long-lifetime. Especially, in the electordeless fluorescent lamp which used H-mode, efficiency of lamp is decided from matching parameter of antena and inverter. So it is of the utmost importance to design antena and inverter Therefore, this paper used a transformer principle for efficiency rising of electrodeless fluorescent lamp and interpreted an equivalent circuit, used an impedance analyzer in order to confirm a performance enhancement of lamp along design of antenna, and confirmed parameter characteristic of R, L, C, Z, Q-factor along a change of magnetic flux density. Also, this paper confirmed a luminance characteristic of electordeless lamp along parameter change with measuring optical characteristic along a change of magnetic flux density

  • Techniques which are able to predict and control dynamic characteristics, not affecting the vibrational characteristics on the modification of structural design, are being studied. As one of these techniques, experimental modal analysis is widely applied by many researchers. In this study, modal analysis is performed using transfer matrix method by a macro computer. The developed program would estimate the structural modal parameters precisely, and the validity of this program is certified by comparing with the experimental results of .GAMMA A. structure. Estimated modal parameters(natural frequency, vibrational mode, equivalent mass, etc.) are in accord with the experimental results. Also, the optimal location of the additive mass is determined by the evaluation of the vibrational mode and the equivalent mass. The relation between the additive mass and the equivalent mass is specified, and we come to know that the ratio of equivalent mass to additive mass alter linearly within the range of 20%.

  • This paper represents an simplified design method of hybrid composites. The proposed method is very simple compared to conventional design approaches and easy to apply to practical design problems. The method is based on not complex optimization approaches but conventional theories. The equivalent dielectric properties concept and multi-layered dielectric slab theory are an important theoretical background of the proposed method. This approach divide the design domain into several domain which have theoretically different electro- agnetic functionality. Then, the domains are expressed by equivalent dielectric properties. Numerical analysis are performed several types of design candidates. S-parameter test for final design was conducted for validate the proposed approach indirectly.

  • Jettability analysis using one-dimensional(1D) lumped parameter model has been investigated to design the industrial inkjet head with proper drop velocity and drop volume. By simplifying the inkjet head system into an equivalent electrical circuit, lumped model has been developed. Performance of the lumped model is verified by the comparison between measured results of droplet velocity and ejection volume and predicted value. Also, the jetting performance of an inkjet head is characterized by varying the design parameter and driving condition. As a result, simulation results shows good agreement with the experimentally measured value. The developed lumped model enables to easily understand the effect of dimension change and predict the jetting performance.

  • In this paper, a 4-wheel vehicle model including the effects of tire slip was considered, along with variable parameter sliding control, pushrod force as the end control parameter, and an antilock sliding control, in order to improve the performance of the vehicle longitudinal response. The variable sliding parameter is made to be proportional to the square root of the pressure derivative at the wheel, in order to compensate for large pressure changes in the brake cylinder. A typical tire force-relative slip curve for dry road conditions was used to generate an analytical tire force-relative slip function, and an antilock sliding control process based on the analytical tire force-relative slip function was used. A retrofitted brake system, with the pushrod force as the end control parameter, was employed, and an average decay function was used to suppress the simulation oscillations. Simulation results indicate that the velocity and spacing errors were slightly larger than the results that without considering wheel slip effect, the spacing errors of the lead and follower were insensitive to the adhesion coefficient up to the critical wheel slip value, and the limit for the antilock control on non-constant adhesion road condition was determined by the minimum of the equivalent adhesion coefficient.

  • This study is related with assumption of stress block parameter for high-strength concrete. The equivalent stress distribution block of KCI design code isn't matched with the real stress distribution of high strength concrete. In this study, we tried to suggest new type of stress block parameter based on both previous test data and theoretical process.

  • One dimensional performance model has been used for the design of torque converter. The model is based on the concept of constant mean flow path and constant flow angle. These constant-assumed para meters make the design procedure to be simple. In practice, some parameters are usually replaced with geometric raw data and, the constant experiential correction factors have been used to minimize the design error. These factors have no definite physical meaning and so they cannot be applied confidently to the other design condition. In this study, the detail dynamic model of torque converter is presented to establish the theoretical background of correction factors. To verify the validity of theoretical model, steady state performance test was carried out on the several input speed. The oil temperature effect on the performance is analysed and adjusted. The constant equivalent flow angles are determined at a part of performance region by comparing the theoretical model and the test data. The sensitivity of correction factors to the input speeds are studied and the change of torus flow is presented.

  • In this paper, the Low Pass Filter (LPF) using the equivalent circuit of T-junction microstrip line is proposed. And we derived the formulas for lumped-elements of the equivalent circuit of T-junction microstrip line to solve the frequency shift characteristic. T-junction microstrip line is de-embedded by Electromagnetic simulation tool and exact lumped element value of T-junction microstrip line is calculated by the equation of Z-parameter. We can get excellent agreement between lumped-element LPF frequency response and transmission line LPF frequency response.

  • As the welding spot forms a singular geometry of an external crack type, fatigue failure of spot-welded specimens can be evaluated by means of a fracture parameter. Recasting the load vs. fatigue life relationships experimentally obtained, we predicted the fatigue life of spot-weld specimens with a single parameter denoted the equivalent stress intensity factor. This crack driving parameter is demonstrated to successfully describe the effects of specimen geometry and loading type in a comprehensive manner. The suggested fatigue life formula for a single spot weld can play a key role in the design and assessment of spot-welded panel structures, in that the fatigue strength of multi-spots is eventually determined by the fatigue strength of each single spot. We therefore attempt to evaluate the effectiveness and validity of $K_e$ in predicting the fatigue life of auto seat belt anchor panel. We first establish finite element models reflecting the actual mechanical behavior of 3 types of seat belt anchor specimens. Using finite element models elaborately established, we then obtain the effective crack driving parameter $K_e$ composed of its ductility -dependent modal components. It is confirmed that the $K_e$ concept successfully predicts the fatigue life of multi-spot welded panel structures represented by auto seat belt anchors here.

In this study to overcome the diffiiculty with the large amount of computation in finite element vibration analysis of a crankshaft, a reduction method based on influence coefficient and lumped parameter is presented. which reduces the computation amount effectively and can be used in vibrational analysis and design of any types of crankshafts Crank journal and pinparts are meodelled as elements with 6degrees of freedom per node. Crank web part is modelled using equivalent mass and stiffness matices . based up on lumped parameter and influence coefficient respectively to reduce total degrees of freedom considerablely. To confirm the scheme of the study the results are compared with the known data and they are coincident. Also a simple crankshaft is designed and manufactured for experiments.
