  • Under the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of Official Development Assistance(ODA) in health and medical service is emphasized more. The number of cases is expected to increase in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to provide differentiated education and training for each type of occupation as a follow-up to realize the operations management and maintenance of medical equipment supported by the ODA project. In this study, for an effective follow-up and operations management of medical equipment supported by the ODA project, the differences in educational training achievement between users and maintainers were analyzed through a t-test. As a result of this study, there were significant differences between users and maintainers of medical equipment in use and manage six types of priority management target medical equipment(Q5) and an instruction manual understanding of medical equipment(Q6). However, there was no difference in the need and purpose of education and training, satisfaction with an instructor, and the need for cross-professional communication.

  • All equipment generally has a specified design service life. As an equipment nears the end of its design service life, replacement must be considered. In some cases, it is possible and more economical to continue the usage of the existing equipment for a longer period. So, replacement should be carefully decided considering the feasibility and economic benefits of the existing equipments' life extension. In this paper, assessment procedure for deciding between life extension and replacement of the electronic control system is presented with an application example. In particular estimation of the electronic control system's remaining life is focused on.

  • Shock-resistance test for a real equipment for a normal vessel is one of the difficult problem in many cases because of terrible cost and weight. An analysis technique to evaluate the shock resistance in a design stage is necessary, instead In this paper, the process to evaluate the shock resistance of a propulsion motor for naval vessels was presented based on German navy's BV043 regulation. The shock signal to impose the equipment under the test was first evaluated, and was then applied to the structural FE model of the equipment. From the transient FEA, the time history of von-Mises stress was obtained by the mode superposition method. The shock resistance was evaluated using the peak value of the von-Mises stress.

  • Self-Inspection is being used in the workplace hazardous, dangerous machinery and equipment to build capacity for the voluntary safety risks due to use of machinery and prevention of industrial accidents that inspect facilities for safety issues, is to check. However, December 31, 2008 as part of Article 36 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (safety inspection), the financial vanish as the self-test, Safety inspection program has been changed., In each individual workplace that creates its own standards and regulations to use the existing inspection system is in some cases. This study is located in the southeast industrial complex as a risk reducer manufacturer, machine-based target zones in S Corp owns most of the crane based on the results of the tests is to analyze the problem. Then check the results - to bring its measures and information you need to know for sure is to propose.

  • Recently, the construction industry has been pursuing economical construction by introducing improved construction equipment and methods. However, in many cases, the equipment operation according to the intuition of the field manager and in the manner of traditional methods impedes the increase in effectiveness in terms of productivity and economy. The performance of new construction equipment has rapidly improved; however, the maximum effect of mechanized construction cannot be obtained unless the effective management and operation methods are implemented. According to the expert survey, it has been discovered that the problems of conventional construction equipment operation methods can be classified into several categories: allocation of construction equipment that is not suitable for the construction work, the combination of equipment that does not take into consideration real-time field situations, the decline in the skill of the construction equipment drivers, and lack of real-time access to necessary information. This paper proposes a construction equipment management system to solve these problems. The construction equipment management system can provide a method to maximize the work rate of the construction equipment fleet by developing an equipment allocation plan based on field conditions, whenever necessary, and transferring this information to the construction equipment drivers in real time. Ultimately, it is believed that the application of the construction equipment operation system in the field will make it possible to reduce carbon emissions by improving productivity and reducing fuel consumption.

  • Objective: The objective of this study is to present varying cases of ergonomic improvements in equipments for agricultural work. Background: In Korean agricultural sector, many older people and females, who may be more vulnerable to musculoskeletal diseases than young males, are doing high stressful tasks such as manual materials tasks, harvesting, etc. For reducing the work stress of the farmers, the Korean government has been performing support projects to provide the farmers with agricultural implements specified for their crops. In the projects, ergonomics experts have participated and helped modify the equipments. Method: Fifty cases of equipment improvements, which were carried out in 33 farming organizations cultivating 13 different crops, were reviewed and presented by equipments and their parts. Results: In total, 283 cases of improvements for 12 equipments including 4-wheel, 1-wheel, and 3-wheel powered carts, grass cutter, conveyer, pest control machine, and so on, were presented. The improvements were also classified according to the ergonomic principles like compatibility, ease of use, safety and fitting to the anthropometry, etc. Frequencies of improvements by equipment and its part were the highest in carts and controls, respectively. Principles of safety and ease of use were adopted more frequently in improving equipments than others. Conclusion: The tables of examples of improvements of agricultural implements are main results of this study and the systematical summaries are expected to be widely used in the development of more improved agricultural implements. Application: The results could be used as practical guidelines in ergonomically developing and modifying agricultural implements by both the experts and non-experts in ergonomics. The improvements would contribute to reduction of stress in farm work, which result in increasing the level of safety and health of Korean agricultural society.

  • This paper deal with due to the additional equipment established on the vehicle fire accident cases. Recently, vehicle was recognized as other living spaces and it was increasing installation of additional devices such as a black box, multivision, additional battery and so on. However, these additional devices were established on the vehicle by non-specialists such as the general public user or manufacturing and distributors of additional devices since the vehicle factory. Resulting from the additional equipments due to installation errors in these additional equipments connected to the electrical wiring insulation damage or electrical breakdown occurs, and finally leading to a fire caused by the additional equipments. Therefore, additional equipment established on the vehicle due to a fire in order to prevent accidents during the manufacturing process of these devices are installed. If not installed unless the manufacturing process, the installation of additional equipments established by professional who knows the vehicle structure that will be able to prevent the fire.

  • Recently, new aspects of paints such as a beautiful appearance, use of environmentally friendly paints, etc., in addition to the superior performance of paints have been requested for industrial paints including the paints for heavy construction equipment and others. Particularly, the quality of appearance of coating affects the sales of heavy construction equipment. And the necessity for the paints to have a superior weather-proof property without changing the luster or color even after long-time exposure to the open air is emphasized. The change in the surface color and luster of the paint due to the natural environment progresses very slowly, and it takes a long time to verify material properties when developing new paints. In order to improve such methods, weathering tests are performed in many laboratories as a test for accelerating aging of coating, and the lifetime of the products is estimated through evaluation of the weathering (environment-proof) quality of paints. However, not a great deal of research activity has been conducted up to the present time since the interrelationship between the actual results of testing and field data is different for each paint and it takes a long time to study relevant materials. Therefore, introduced in the present study is the estimation of the change in the quality of appearance of coating in the field through the accelerated aging test among the cases of improvement of the quality of appearance of the urethane paint for heavy construction equipment.
