유치원생과 초등 학생이 가지는 자연 환경에 대한 가치관 및 태도 -연령별, 성별 차이를 중심으로- (Children's View of Environmental Value and Attitudes : On the basis of Age and Gender)

  • The purpose of this study are two-fold; 1) to identify the differences in the view of environmental value between 6-years-olds and 12-years-old, 2) to identify the differences in the attitude towards animals and plants between male-and female students. To accomplish the purposes of this study, two researchers deeply interviewed ten 6-years-old and 12-years-old boys and girls, respectively. First, the interviewees are asked to rank six constituents in nature, human-being, tiger, ant, gingko tree, weed, and stone, from their views of environmental value. Then, the interviewees were asked to talk about their various interaction with animals and plants. The results of this study are as follows; 1) In evaluating the value of nature constituents, 12-years-olds tended to be affected by scientific knowledge. On the other hand, 6-years-olds tended to evaluate the value of nature constituents by their emotional feeling; 2) From the perspectives of environmental ethics, 12-years-olds showed attitudes in anthropocentric or holistic ethics. On the other hand, 6-years-olds showed attitudes in nonanthropocentric ethics; 3) In evaluating the value of nature constituents, 12-year-olds tended to consider the constituent′s instrumental values and 6-years-olds tended to consider their intrinsic values; 4) From the perspectives of "ethics of care", females, especially 12-years females tended to take care of plants. The results propose more emphasis of environmental "sensuous" in school environmental education. And male- and female students should be expected fairly in their environmental attitudes, especially in taking care of natural creatures.

제7차 과학과 교육 과정에 따른 학교 환경 교육 내용 체계화 (The Systematization of Environmental Education Contents in the 7the Science curriculum for Science)

  • As an attempt to systematize environmental education in the 7th curriculum, this study extracted the contents of environmental education to which science can approach in the science lessons. This study analyzed these contents from the goals of environmental education and from its contents and, as a result, it found out the followings : (1) in the aspect of ‘knowledge’ and ‘skills’, the goals of Science environmental education have direct relations with each other, and (2) the science can be taught in the aspect of ‘natural environment’, ‘environmental ethics’, ‘environmental pollution’, ‘resources’, and so on. By utilizing various teaching and learning methods of science education the science subject on, however, approach the goals of environmental education, of ‘attitudes’ and ‘participation’.

공학 분야의 윤리적 문제해결방법: 매트릭스 가이드 (Ethical Problem Solving in Engineering: Matrix Guide)

  • The core issue of ethical problem solving in engineering is to understand what exactly happened and to define its nature. Problems often arise mostly in morally complex situations. Traditional philosophical theories usually focus on extreme conflicts of interest and suggest moral theory-centered problem solving methods. However, these methods are not only difficult to specifically apply to real situations, but also are likely to fail to deal with actual moral issues in engineering fields. This study aims to develop more desirable ethical problem solving methods, based on STS (Science and Technology Studies) and engineering ethics combined. First, we have examined the engineering ethics with implications of an STS perspective, then have analyzed traditional ethical problem solving methods in a critical point of view. This study will suggest a new ethical problem solving method named Matrix Guide, based upon those analyses. Specifically, this study classifies four stages of problem definition, analysis, solving, and feedback. Here, we focus on how to combine technological and non-technological factors in each stage, when we are facing morally complex situations in engineering sectors.

대안학교 교사의 생태중심주의 환경교육에 대한 인식 조사 (Survey on the Korean Alternative School Teachers' Perception of Ecocentric Environmental Education)

  • In this study, the Korean alternative school teachers' perceptions of ecocentric environmental education were surveyed. A total of 80 teachers from 42 alternative schools across the nation answered to the survey. The results were as follows. Teachers were found to have a lot of interest in environmental issues and to practice some environmental actions inside and outside school. Over sixty percent teachers agreed with the ecocentric philosophy of environmental education. The most two important issues among 11 environmental education contents for teachers were "natural environment" and "environmental ethics". Teachers used and preferred "field work" for teaching environmental issues, and got teaching materials mostly from the internet. However, many of them were not satisfied with environmental activity in their schools because of their lack of professionalism. They had not enough experience of professional development for environmental education, and strongly wanted to learn about field work.

제주도의 지역 환경 자원을 활용한 초등학교 고학년용 체험교육 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Experience Education Program for Elementary Upper Grades using Local Environmental Resources of Jeju Island)

  • The purpose of this study was to develope experience-education program for elementary students which use environmental resources and learning sources of Jeju island. This study designed developing framework of environmental education program for using local resources and developed experience-education program on the basis of it. Especially this program consisted of direct experience, indirect experience, and local community learning. This program consisted of five activities -'Jeju's water', 'Mecca of wind power', 'Rushing jellyfish', 'Ramsar wetland', and 'Searching the fossil'. Each activity themes was to use environmental resources of Jeju island. And this program had relationship with science, social studies, and ethics in the curriculum. The result of this study will serve to activate environmental education program for using local resources if we solve program's problem through application process.

성격 강점이 한우경영인들의 심리특성과 직업의식에 미치는 영향: 경남과 경북지역을 중심으로 (Effects of Character Strengths on Psychological Characteristics and Work Ethics of Hanwoo Managers: Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk Areas)

  • To examine the psychological characteristics and work ethics of Hanwoo managers, we selected 26 of the 50 managers who took part in this study to avoid unreliable response and non-description from the questionnaire. The core results of this study were the following: First, cronbach's ${\alpha}$ reliability with highest domain in this study were obtained from character strengths (.938), followed by job satisfaction (.841), internal evaluation (.799), and external evaluation (.739). Second, for perception and attitude of Hanwoo management, the correlation between job satisfaction and internal evaluation (P<0.05) was observed. Management satisfaction showed higher for intermediate group and subgroup and lower satisfaction for the top group. Third, there were statistical differences (P<0.05) in ten character strengths (curiosity, judgment, creativity, social intelligence, wisdom, honesty, optimism, responsibility, humor, and passion) according to group satisfaction. Ten character strengths were lower in creativity (7.14) and higher in responsibility (8.57) in comparison with other items for the top group. In conclusion, these results suggest that character strengths are beneficial to improve Hanwoo management on psychological characteristics and work ethics of managers.

지속가능 발전을 위한 초등학교 환경교육 방향 모색 - 초등학교 5, 6학년을 중심으로- (Seeking Directions of Environmental Education for Sustainable Development at Elementary School; focusing on the 5th, 6th grade)

  • 주지하듯이, 환경 교육은 시대적으로 요구되는 절실한 문제이다. 특히, 학교 수업을 통한 환경교육은 학교에 취학하는 모든 학생들이 의무적으로 교육을 받게 된다는 점에서 광범위한 영향을 끼칠 수 있으며, 또한 환경 및 생태계에 대한 기본 개념이 형성되는 시기가 초등학교 과정이라는 점에서 교육적인 중요성을 갖고 있다. 그러나 초등교육에서는 '환경'이 독립된 교과목으로 설정되어 있지 않고 각 교과 교육과정에서 부분적으로 언급되고 있을 뿐이어서, 총체적이고 구체적인 접근보다는 대부분 단편적인 각론에 그치고 있는 형편이다. 따라서 현재 우리 사회에서 발생되는 환경문제에 관한 다양한 기존의 학문적 접근과 논의를 기초로 하여, 시대적으로 요구되는 지속가능 발전을 위한 초등학교 환경교육 방향을 모색해 보고, 그 적용 가능성을 탐구하는 것은 의미 있는 작업이 될 것이다. 환경의 개발과 보존 간의 조화를 강조하는 지속가능 발전 개념은 미래 세대의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 능력을 위태롭게 하지 않고 현 세대의 욕구를 충족시키는 발전이라는 의미를 갖는 것으로, 개발과 보존이라는 측면에서 경제적인 개발보다는 환경 보존이 우선적으로 고려되어야 한다는 점을 언표하고 있다. 따라서 지속가능한 발전을 위한 환경 교육의 주요 관건은 '생명존중과 자연보존'이라는 가치관의 문제에 있으며, 이러한 올바른 가치관은 교육을 통하여 함양된다.

윤리적 탐구 중심의 초등 도덕과 환경수업 (A Study on the Environmental Instruction focused on ethical inquiry in elementary school)

  • 초등학교에서 환경교육은 여러 교과에서 이루어지고 있다. 각 교과의 환경수업은 그 교과의 특성 및 교과와 관련된 환경교육의 내용을 반영하여 구성된다. 도덕과의 환경수업에도 환경교육과 관련된 내용 및 도덕과의 특성이 반영된다. 초등학교 도덕과 교육과정에서 환경교육과 직접적으로 관련된 지도요소는 '생명의 소중함'과 '올바른 자연관과 환경 보호'이다. 도덕과는 이 지도요소를 통해 동식물의 생명을 소중히 여겨야 하는 이유와 자연과의 관계에 대한 도덕적 인식을 중심으로 접근한다. 초등 도덕과의 환경교육은 사실적 이해를 중심으로 하는 교과와는 달리 규범적 접근을 중심으로 한다는 측면에서 차별된다. 도덕과의 정체성을 반영하면서 규범적 내용에 접근하기 위해서는 생명과 자연에 대한 윤리적 탐구를 중심으로 수업이 전개되어야 한다. 특히 도덕과 환경수업은 동물 생명의 도덕적 지위, 식물 생명의 도덕적 지위, 전체 자연계의 도덕적 지위에 대한 윤리적 탐구라는 논리적 순서로 형식적 응집성이 구성될 수 있다. 이를 위해서는 개체주의적인 윤리적 확대주의에 근거한 동물 생명의 도덕적 지위의 해명, 개체주의적 탈인간중심 윤리에 근거한 식물 생명의 도덕적 지위의 해명, 전체주의적 탈인간중심 윤리에 근거한 전체 자연의 도덕적 지위의 해명을 근거로 수업을 구성할 수 있다. 이를 반영한 구체적인 수업 안은 '사람과 동물의 공통점 찾기', '공통점을 대하는 모습', '공통점을 대하는 모습이 다른 이유 생각하기', '식물이 죽으면 사라지는 것', '비생명체의 가치 이해하기'로 전개된다. 물론 이러한 수업의 예시는 비판적으로 재구성될 수 있다. 하지만 초등 도덕과의 정체성이 반영된 환경수업을 위해서는 윤리적 탐구를 통한 환경 의식을 함양이라는 목적은 유지되어야 한다.

인공지능기술 윤리성 인식 척도개발 연구 (Development and Validation of Ethical Awareness Scale for AI Technology)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인공지능 기술 또는 서비스를 수용하는 사용자의 윤리성 인식을 측정하기 위한 척도 개발 및 타당화에 있다. 이를 위해 인공지능 윤리성 관련 문헌 분석을 통해 구성개념 및 속성을 확인하였다. 전국의 10대-70대 남녀 133명(개방형 설문:1차 문항), 273명(예비조사:2차 문항), 500명(본조사:최종 문항)을 대상으로 실시한 온라인 설문조사 결과를 확인적 요인분석에 의해 정제하여 최종적으로 인공지능기술 윤리성 척도를 개발하였다. 인공지능기술 윤리성 인식 척도는 총 4개 요인(투명성, 안전성, 공정성, 책임성) 16개 문항으로 개발하여 일반적인 인공지능기술 관련 윤리성 인식을 세부 요인별로 측정할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발된 척도를 활용하여 다양한 분야의 측정 변인들과의 관련성을 밝힐 수 있을 것이며, 인공지능기술 발전의 초기 단계에서 윤리성 인식을 높이기 위한 기초 데이터를 제공하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대한다.

Ethical Issues on Environmental Health Study

  • Purpose: Adequate public input and participation in environmental health research must be provided to ensure accurate results from studies involving human exposure to potentially hazardous substances. By addressing these ethical issues associated with environmental health research, this study can help reduce risks for individuals participating in studies and whole communities affected by their impactful findings. Research design, data and methodology: The current research should have followed the rule of qualitative textual research, searching and exploring the adequate prior resources such as books and peer-reviewed journal articles so that the current author could screen proper previous works which are acceptable for the content analysis. Results: The current research has figured out four ethical issues to improve environmental health study as follows: (1) Lack of Guidance for Collecting and Utilizing Data Ethically, (2) Insufficient Consideration Is Given to Vulnerable Populations When Conducting Studies, (3) Unclear Standards Exist for Protecting the Privacy Of Participant's Personal Information, and (4) Conducting Socially and Religiously Acceptable Research in Various Communities. Conclusions: This research concludes that future researchers should consider implementing anonymization techniques where possible so that findings are still accessible, but the risk posed by disclosing identifying information remains minimized during the analysis/publication stages.
