공동주택 거주 고령자의 건강주거 인식특성 및 요구에 관한 연구 (The Elderly's Perspectives on Apartments as a Healthy Home Environments)

  • This study focuses on a concrete understanding of the characteristics of perceptions and needs about healthy housing of the elderly, who represent the most vulnerable group of people in society, on the four evaluation dimensions of healthy housing as part of the research for evaluation indicators development for housing health performance in apartments. First, it was found that the elderly perceive an environment where their physical health is well supported as the most important factor for healthy housing. Additionally, the management support of the housing was perceived as the second most important consideration. Second, the most frequently used area for the elderly is the living room and a desired place to be added to indoor spaces was a room of their own or a 'living room', which clearly indicates the importance of the indoor environment for the elderly. Third, the biggest factor for the interior environment that affected the satisfaction level of the elderly in their housing was largely based on the convenience factor that helped lesson the discomfort in their daily life due to the physical aging process, and also on factors related to the pleasant indoor surroundings. Based on the concepts discovered in this study on healthy housing, more concrete items should be developed in the future for an extensive indicator for health performance evaluation, and actual research on the general public should follow suit.

대학강의실 전면현휘 감소를 위한 주간채광유입 시뮬레이션에 관한 연구 (A Study on Simulation of Daylight for Reducing Glare of the Lecture Room's Front Side in University)

  • The University students learn their major or a general education in lecture rooms. In these days, lecturer use frequently various multimedia in lecture room. Appropriate control lighting environment in lecture room should be essential and related in efficient studying. Daylighting on front-side of lecture room will cause glare and students are hard to read contents on white-board at their seat. Therefore, in order to preventing glare we simulated daylighting of lecture room with using computer software in this study. Results from simulation and analysis as follows: The first, if students' left-side is east-oriented in lecture room, best daylighting condition about glare in lecture room. The second, architectural designers can use simulation data of daylighting or simulate data in designing university buildings with lecture rooms. Finally, if reducing size of windows (narrow and deep daylight: more closing vertically, from up to down daylighting: more closing horizontally) we will be able to reduce energy from lecture room.

  • Adsorption and reaction studies were made for the catalytic oxidation in aqueous slurries of activated carbon at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. In order to analyze the reaction rate, the mechanism was assumed by the steps of nonhomogeneous catalytic reaction. The experimental result show that oxidation rate was controlled by the reaction between adsorbed molecular oxygen and sulfur dioxide on the catalyst surface. Ar room temperature, the equat5ion of reaction rate was given as $ro_2 = 2.49 \times 10^{-7} P_O_2^{0.604}$.

  • The analog typed interface of main control room in nuclear power plant(NPP) is gradually being replaced to the one suitable for the digital environment. SKN 3,4 is currently developed in such a way to employ digitalized displays and controls such as computerized procedure system(CPS), large display panel(LDP), and Soft control. The main control room (MCR) of the SKN3, 4 was designed based on the human factors guidelines, which somehow lack of the confidence for the rapidly the developed guidelines needs to extend to the one to apply for the total digital environment including task environment, hardware and workstation. In order to achieve the research objectives, tremendous guidelines and technical papers related to evaluation issues of digital environment has been collected, analyzed and transformed to electric database forms and then built on database management system to retrieve the appropriate isues for the practical usage of evaluators-in-field.

  • Basic precondition for effective curriculum on learning activities to take place, the internal and external environment of the school facilities, improve the environment of the classroom space and etc. Specifically, the use of classroom space, hardly learners improve their academic motivation to achievement tend to concentrate within the party regularly scheduled class hours. Physical environment surrounding them is giving considerable impact for behavioral psychological and bodily change of the learners. In this study, we are focused on the form of the learner in the general classroom space and classroom environment that can increase the learning effect will be examined. Consequently, What is appropriate classroom environment for learning increase the concentration of elements are presented.

  • In nuclear power plant, the main control room(MCR) plays a leading and important role, so it is the core to have its design well operater-centered, both physically and cognitively. This paper especially analyzes focusing on lighting MCR environment and shows alternatives. It will lead to improve work efficiency and to care operator's sight. In conclusion, reducing operator's stress, fatigue and increasing safety, comfort.

  • This study proposed the optimum design values for the biological clean room system observing the regulations of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). Even though the standard for industrial clean room system has been well established, the basis for biological food clean room system is the first stage. In order to prevent the contaminations in advance for food storages, processes, and distributions, the criterion of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point is positively required. This study also suggested the possible ways of how to avoid the hazardous contaminations.

병원의 실내환경 특성에 관한 연구 - 부산지역 내과병원을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Interior Characteristics of Healthcare Environment - Focused on the Internal Medicine in Busan -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the current interior conditions of internal medicines and the patients'responses to them. Data were collected through questionnaire survey including observations and interviews. The sample consisted of 43 internal medicines in Busan. The data were analyzed by using SPSS-PC. The major findings were as follows: (1) Most of the medicines had a size of 20-50 pyung(66-165$m^2$). The preferred size of internal medicine was 30-70 Pyung. (2) The typical layout of reception room, doctor's room, and injection room was L shape. (3) The most preferred room was waiting room and the worst one was injection room. (4) Painting and tile were mostly used as interior finishing materials. The patients preferred wall papers as wall and ceiling material, and marbles as floor material. Also, the most preferred interior images were modern, western, urban, open, simple, warm and popular images.

  • This paper reports a thermal environmental analysis of a room in accommodated with multi-heat sources according to ventilation condition. Two case modification have been investigated to obtain the lower temperature distribution in the room. The temperature distribution of the original room were found about $25{\sim}35^{\circ}C$. As a result, the use of, three ventilating fans and two electric fans are useful for room ventilation respectively, and using two electric fan is more recommendable in side of economical efficiency.

  • It is the youth period that the personality is shaping gradually. The residential environments have influence on the young ego. Especially residential design should include more youth friendly design elements than any other facilities. The purpose of this study was to provide the youth friendly design elements about the space design of apartment through analysis of youth's needs. This study was progressed to the survey method about five districts of apartment design competitions in 2007. The collected cases are analyzed by using statistics software SPSS for windows release 11.0. The result of the study was as below. First, the youth satisfaction of current residential space got more satisfied as floor space got larger. Second, most of youth uses them own room that is satisfied with their floor space for sleeping, inviting friends, studying, playing activities. Third, generally youth preferred to place their own room not far from the restroom, but the result of distance between master room and entrance was classified depend on sex, personal inclination, and residence environment, also generally satisfied with volume of their room. Fourth, for the restroom, although it is too small that satisfied with bath facilities relatively. And cast, youth's preferred room for extra was 'movie/music room', 'game room' and 'dress room' which is higher preference than 'study room'.
