In the current Covid-19 pandemic, technology's role is important; with technology, all activities can carry on. This study explains that technology, organizational culture, and job satisfaction at rural banks in Bali can be a motivation for improving performance, especially during a pandemic. A questionnaire is distributed online using Google Form to a total of 350 employees; the data is collected from a sample of employees from rural banks in Denpasar, Bali. Respondents had to meet the following criteria: a minimum work period of one year and a minimum high school education or equivalent. With these criteria, 100 samples were obtained. The dependent variable is employee performance; the independent variables are organizational culture, technology, and job satisfaction; the intervening variable is work motivation. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling with a variance-based or component-based approach with Partial Least Square. The study results show that organizational culture, job satisfaction, and technology provide motivation and have a significant positive effect on employee performance. However, organizational culture does not have a positive or direct impact on employee performance. The study results can be used as a basis for designing business strategies to improve employee performance in a competitive environment to advance the credibility of a bank.
The sea environment must be preserved for maintaining various coastal resources. In order to preserve the sea environment, this study is to find problems in the process of producing photocatalyst materials, which can purify sea pollution, and to develop the heuristic algorithm satisfying those problems. The heuristic algorithm of this paper is developed through constructing the mathematical model and analyzing the mathematical structure of variables and constraints in that model. The algorithm developed in this paper consists of the first process of initializing, the second process of lot combination and the third process of improving solutions. Some experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the heuristic algorithm developed in this paper.
Purpose - The current study attempts to enhance competitiveness by improving Chinese restaurant chefs' work environment and analyzes its effect on work environment and burnout. (2) As a result of interaction between work environment and deindividuation, welfare, personal, and institution environment did not have significant effect. (3) As a result of interaction between work environment and emotional deprivation, institution environment had significant effect while personal environment and welfare environment did not. This study aims to determine the factors influencing student performance using the teaching and learning process through e-learning based on the unified theory of acceptance and use technology (UTAUT). This study also sets out to propose additional variables to expand the UTAUT model to be more suitable to use in higher education. This research conducted a literature review, expert interviews, and a self-administered survey involving 200 students at tertiary institutions in Riau province, Indonesia. The questionnaire data were analyzed using SmartPLS 2. This study shows that UTAUT constructs, namely, social influence, facility conditions, and effort expectancy have a significant influence on student behavior and performance, while the performance expectancy variable shows no significant effect. The additional variables, including lecturer characteristics, external motivation, and organizational structure, directly affect student performance. However, concerning student behavior, motivation and environment are the only variables with a significant effect. The results of this study suggest the behavior deteminant such as lecturer characteristics, motivation and environment, and organizational structure improve student performance. This study investigates factors affecting the performance of university students through the learning employing e-learning by developing the UTAUT constructs to include the lecturer characteristics, motivation and environment, and organizational structure in improving student performance.

The environment of supply chains is rapidly changed to global and eco-freindly work process. However, at current environment, it is not easy to grasp work flow and to analyze energy efficiency. Improving energy efficiency and visibility for goods flow can contribute to increases in customer attitudes and reductions in overall production costs Additionally, it can lead to increases in work efficiency and reductions in overall production costs. Until recently, efforts to improve energy performance focused on manufacturing industry. Those efforts have expanded to the supply chain. In this paper, we perform business process modeling about supply chain for visibility and sustainability - information and component flows - from assembly plants to logistics. This paper defines the work and information flows by modeling the underlying logical structures of the supply chain and the business processes that determine impact of visibility and sustainability. We model processes using the modeling methodology specified by UN/CEFACT. This methodology explains business process functionality and business transactions by UML diagram. The output of this paper would be useful in grasping work flow and capturing the used energy.

Guided by a resource-based theory, this study is the first one that takes a quantitative approach to identify determinants of competitiveness of women-owned small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam. The study employs time series data of Vietnamese SMEs extracted from the Vietnam Small and Medium Enterprises Survey conducted biennially from 2005 to 2015 in ten Vietnamese provinces. Firm competitiveness hereby is indicated by revenue, market share, profitability, and export volume. The research reveals a number of determining factors, of all, research and development, labor skills, business environment, technology investment are the most important factors, followed by capital and headcount. It is indicated that the determining factors have different influences on competitiveness obtained by different measurements. Therefore, it is based on specific targets and situations to make wise business decisions. The authors also make comparisons among groups of women-owned enterprises divided by their firm age, location, ownership, export, age, and educational background of business owners. The findings serve as critical empirical evidence and provide policy recommendations for improving the competitiveness of women-owned SMEs in Vietnam. The recommendations range from technology support, education and professional support for female entrepreneurs, access to capital and human resources to business environment improvement.

The purpose of a business's existence is to make profit. The objective of business can be attained through the most profitable activities such as the improvement of productivity, quality and the reduction of the manufacturing cost. In order to produce the goods with above said goal, it can be achieved by inducing and improving the manufacturing process. In this viewpoint, We'd like to develope an algorithm for improving productivity, quality and cutting the manufacturing cost under the limitation of the resources. This paper showed a practical method which gradually improves three factors [productivity, quality and cost-down] by calculating the effective value of single and multi process mutually.

This study investigates the impact levels of determinants on the Balanced Scorecard application in evaluating the performance of tourism firms in Hanoi. The tourism industry not only promotes economic development, but also contributes to expanding cultural exchanges and improving people's knowledge. However, Vietnam's tourism industry is under fierce competitive pressure, with the participation of foreign enterprises, with large amount of capital, high professionalism and wide network. The rivalry is happening aggressively on many aspects such as products and human resources. Therefore, tourism firms are in urgent needs of having effective methods to evaluate its performance in order to improve business and development efficiency. This study uses data of tourism firms in Hanoi during 2018-2019. The data used for analysis and regression consists of 135 observations. We use Cronbach's Alpha, EFA and regression model to learn the effect of different variables on the Balanced scorecard application in evaluating the performance. The results show that two determinants, including internal factors of tourism firms (IF) and external factors of tourism firms (EF) had positive relationships with the Balanced scorecard application in evaluating the performance. Based on the findings, recommendations are given for improving the Balanced scorecard application in evaluating the performance of tourism firms in Hanoi.
The purpose of this study is to draw employee support program at the company level through field survey of foreign laborers' satisfaction level of working life. To analyze the factors that determine working life satisfaction, regression analysis was conducted. Satisfaction level of working hours(t=2.469), living environment(t=2.140), post offices/banks (t=3.024) showed a statistically significant. Also these variables, working hours, living environment, post office/banks are verified to be very important for improving the level of their working life. Through these findings we can understand that employee support activities, providing user-guide of bank and post office, compliance with standards for working hours, improvement of the living conditions (accommodation, meals, etc.), the leisure time program support, the children care support and active utilization of foreign workers and strengthen the educational program, are necessary to improve the satisfaction level of foreign laborers' working life in Korea. It is recommended that managers need to recognize that careful consideration of living and working condition could contribute to stable settlement and increase working life satisfaction for the foreign workers at company level.
