공학전공 대학생의 AI 로봇에 대한 윤리적 민감성 (Engineering Students' Ethical Sensitivity on Artificial Intelligence Robots)

  • This study evaluated the engineering students' ethical sensitivity to an AI emotion recognition robot scenario and explored its characteristics. For data collection, 54 students (27 majoring in Convergence Electronic Engineering and 27 majoring in Computer Software) were asked to list five factors regarding the AI robot scenario. For the analysis of ethical sensitivity, it was checked whether the students acknowledged the AI ethical principles in the AI robot scenario, such as safety, controllability, fairness, accountability, and transparency. We also categorized students' levels as either informed or naive based on whether or not they infer specific situations and diverse outcomes and feel a responsibility to take action as engineers. As a result, 40.0% of students' responses contained the AI ethical principles. These include safety 57.1%, controllability 10.7%, fairness 20.5%, accountability 11.6%, and transparency 0.0%. More students demonstrated ethical sensitivity at a naive level (76.8%) rather than at the informed level (23.2%). This study has implications for presenting an ethical sensitivity evaluation tool that can be utilized professionally in educational fields and applying it to engineering students to illustrate specific cases with varying levels of ethical sensitivity.

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a prominent topic in almost every field. In Korea, Systems Engineering (SE) procedures are applied in Defense Acquisition, and it is anticipated that SE procedures will also be applied to systems incorporating AI capabilities. This study explores the applicability of the concepts "AI4SE (AI for SE)" and "SE4AI (SE for AI)," which have been proposed in the United States, to the Korean context. The research examines the feasibility of applying these concepts, identifies necessary tasks, and proposes implementation strategies. For the AI4SE, many attempts and studies applying AI to SE Processes both Requirements & Architectures Define, System implementation & V&V, and Sustainment. It needs Explainability and Security. For the SE4AI, the Functional AI implementation level, Quality & Security of the Data-set, AI Ethics, and Review policies are needed. Furthermore, it provides perspectives on how these two concepts should ultimately converge and suggests future directions for development.

기술경영 연구방법론 기업 활용수준 후속연구 (A Follow-up Study on the Level of Corporate Utilization of MOT Methods)

  • This study focuses on the necessity of MOT methods in companies, especially the utilization level. Based on the analysis structure of the previous study (2012), this study was conducted to compare the results with the previous results. We investigated the settlement level of MOT, the degree of necessity for MOT methods, the degree of actual use, and the Product Realization Process (PRP) for MOT-related researchers in electronic companies (n=184). It was confirmed that the higher the demand for MOT methods in the corporate field, the higher the utilization level (ratio). In particular, the need for and utilization of techniques such as Environmental Analysis, Business Opportunity Analysis, Project Feasibility Review, Roadmap, Risk Management was high. These methods were beneficial along with cost management and quality management techniques. The most challenging part of using MOT methods was the lack of systematic use, the absence of experts, and the difficulty in selecting suitable techniques. The necessity of opening subjects such as Creative Thinking, Communication, Teamwork, and Professional Ethics was high among the PRP subjects. Furthermore, the necessity of opening courses in Cost and Safety Design and Applied Statistics was higher than in the previous study.

  • 엘리베이터 내에서는 흡연이 금지되어 있는 것이 사실이다. 엘리베이터 내에서 흡연을 하는 것은 상도덕에 어긋나는 일이며 우리 아이들과 여성들에게 매우 치명적일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 엘리베이터 내에서 흡연을 하는 사람을 추출하여 포렌식 증거 자료로 제출하기 위해서이다. 방법은 흰색 막대를 입에 물거나, 연기를 내품는 사람을 추출하는 것이다. 방법은 장면 전환 검출에서 컬러 히스토그램 방법으로 추출한다.

A Role-play Approach for Privacy Protection Inspiration of Elementary Students

  • Elementary school students have a little awareness of privacy protection since they do not have many opportunities for systematic education on information and communication ethics. Hence, they are likely to expose their own information to others and sometimes bring on a lot of misuses by using others' information. In this paper, we provide an idea for teaching and learning methods which the elementary school students acquire privacy protection and management methods and raise their practical capabilities. We develop a role play teaching and learning model in connection with various Information and Communication Technology (ICT) activities and establish the instruction plans. Moreover, we apply them to the actual classes at grade five and six of the elementary school students respectively, and finally analyze the results. The proposed teaching and learning method shows that the students participated in a series of learning activities have higher learning effects on awareness of privacy protection than those learned with the conventional methods.

  • 현재의 인터넷은 엄청난 속도와 흡수성을 가진 채로 우리들의 생활에 스며들어 왔다. 인터넷은 효율성과 생산성, 오락성의 편익을 제공하는 반면, 익명성과 비대면성이라는 매체의 특성으로 인해 이를 악용한 인터넷 윤리의식이 심각한 사회문제가 제기되고 있다. 이에 인터넷으로 인한 부작용을 예방하고 보다 인간중심의 인터넷 문화를 만들기 위한 인터넷 윤리교육의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 인터넷 윤리의식을 고취시키기 위한방법으로 미디어 리터러시를 제안한다. 기존에는 인터넷의 역기능들을 방지하기 위한 방법으로 차단을 시키거나 사용하지 못하게 하는 부정적 방법을 이용하였으나, 미디어 리터러시를 적용함으로써 인터넷을 올바로 이해하고 느끼게 하여 긍정적인 사고를 가지게 하여 근원적인 예방을 함으로써 인터넷 윤리의식을 고취시키고자 하였다.

인공지능 기술수용과 윤리성 인식이 이용의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of AI Technology Acceptance and Ethical Awareness towards Intention to Use)

  • 본 연구는 인공지능 기술 또는 서비스를 수용하는 사용자의 이용의도를 알아보기 위하여 기술준비도와 기술수용 모델의 융합과 동시에 인공지능 윤리를 고려한 모델로 확장시킴으로써 인공지능을 접한 사용자들이 인공지능에 대해 현재까지 형성하고 있는 인식을 분석하였다. 독립변인은 낙관성, 투명성, 윤리의식, 이용자 중심성이며 독립변인의 영향을 받는 잠재변인으로 지각된 유용성 과 지각된 사용용이성이 포함되었고 종속변인으로 이용의도를 잠재변수로 정의하였다. 2020년 9월 5일~10월 12일까지 전국의 만 17세 이상 남녀를 대상으로 실시한 온·오프라인 설문조사 결과(N=260)가 구조방정식 모형분석에 활용되었다. 연구결과는 첫째, 낙관성은 지각된 유용성과 사용용이성에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 윤리적 인식(투명성, 윤리의식, 이용자중심성)은 지각된 유용성과 사용용이성에 유의미한 영향이 나타나지 않았다. 셋째, 지각된 유용성과 사용용이성은 최종적으로 이용의도에 유의미한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 넷째, 지각된 유용성이 사용용이성에 비해 비교적 높은 영향력을 나타냈다. 연구의 결과는 인공지능 기술발전의 초기 단계에서 윤리성 인식을 높이기 위한 다각적인 노력의 기초 자료로서 중요한 토대가 될 수 있다.

인공지능 리터러시 신장을 위한 인공지능 사고 기반 교육 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effectiveness of an AI Thinking-based Education Program for Enhancing AI Literacy)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the Artificial Intelligence thinking-based education program for improving AI literacy and verify its effectiveness for beginner. This program consists of 17 sessions, was designed according to the "ABCDE" model and is a project-based program. This program was conducted on 51 first-year middle school students and 36 respondents excluding missing values were analyzed in R language. The effect of this program on ethics, understanding, social competency, execution plan, data literacy, and problem solving of AI literacy is statistically significant and has very large practical significance. According to the result of this study, this program provided learners experiencing Artificial Intelligence education for the first time with Artificial Intelligence concepts and principles, collection and analysis of information, and problem-solving processes through application in real life, and served as an opportunity to enhance AI literacy. In addition, education program to enhance AI literacy should be designed based on AI thinking.

인공지능 기반 학습 지원 시스템에 관한 사례 분석 (Case Analysis on AI-Based Learning Assistance Systems)

  • This study classified domestic and international systems by type, presenting their key features and examples, with the aim of outlining future directions for system development and research. AI-based learning assistance systems can be categorized into instructional-learning evaluation types and academic recommendation types, depending on their purpose. Instructional-learning evaluation types measure learners' levels through initial diagnostic assessments, provide customized learning, and offer adaptive feedback visualized based on learners' misconceptions identified through learning data. Academic recommendation types provide personalized academic pathways and a variety of information and functions to assist with overall school life, based on the big data held by schools. Based on these characteristics, future system development should clearly define the development purpose from the planning stage, considering data ethics and stability, and should not only approach from a technological perspective but also sufficiently reflect educational contexts.

BRIBERY INTENTION IN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY : AN APPLICATION OF THE THEORY OF PLANNED BEHAVIOR

  • Illegal and unethical behaviors of the construction industry affect people's lives and health more than the same problems of the other industries. Among these behaviors, the construction industry is mostly criticized for bribery scandals. According to the survey of the Ministry of Justice in Taiwan over the past years, bribery cases involving public engineering projects and governmental procurements account for a rather large portion of the indicted corruption cases. Transparency International's "Bribe Payer Index" indicates people in construction-related industries are the most likely to pay bribes. Poor construction quality directly and indirectly caused by bribery poses a great threat to public safety, organizational reputation and economic development. However, there is a limited number of existing research on the bribery problem of the construction industry. This study is an empirical attempt to explore bribery intention and its affecting factors among the construction organizations in Taiwan by conducting a questionnaire survey. The theory of planned behavior was used in this study to build its research model (covering elements of attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavior control, and intention). Totally 431 valid samples were returned. To explore the factors affecting bribery intention, this study adopted Pearson's correlation analysis to discuss about the connections among the questionnaire respondents' attitudes to bribery, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, and bribery intention. A multi-regression analysis was then conducted to test if the planned behavior theory can effectively predict bribery intention. The research found (1) according to the results of Pearson's correlation analysis, the respondents' bribery intention, attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control are positively correlated with one another; (2) according to the results of the multi-regression analysis, bribery intention can be explained through attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control with an adjusted R2 value of 0.591, meaning 59.1% of the bribery intention's variances can be explained through the three dimensions. In addition, each of the three dimensions has a significant influence on the respondents' behavior intentions.
