태국 열대몬순기후 조건에서 PV모듈 기술별 성능특성 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on Performance of Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Modules in Tropical Monsoon Climate under Thailand condition)

  • The performances of three different types of photovoltaic (PV) module technologies namely, copper-indium-diselenide (CIGS), mono-crystalline silicon (mo-Si) and amorphous silicon (a-Si) have been comparatively studied in the grid-connected system for more than a year under the tropical monsoon climate of Thailand. The yields, performance ratios and system efficiencies for the respective PV module technologies have been calculated and a comparison is presented here. The performance ratios of the initial operation year for CIGS showed highest among the compared technologies under Thailand climate conditions by marking 97.0% while 89.6% for a-Si and 81.5% for mo-Si. Although mo-Si has shown highest efficiencies all over the period, under the testing conditions, the operating efficiency of mo-Si was down-graded from its reference value mainly due to high operating temperature and the efficiency of the tested CIGS module was also found as high as that of mo-Si in the study. Accordingly, outdoor assessment shows that CIGS modules have demonstrated high performance in terms of yields and performance ratios in Thailand climate conditions.

Changes in Thermoluminescence of Mineral Separated from Irradiated Shellfish under Various Storage Conditions

  • A study was carried out to establish a detection method of irradiated shellfish through thermoluminescence (TL). The TL intensity of first glow curves for irradiated bloody, freshwater, and short-neck shellfish increased from control until 5 kGy and increased slightly room 5 kGy until 10 kGy. Maximum TL temperatures of all irradiated samples tested were below 23$0^{\circ}C$, within temperature interval of 150~25$0^{\circ}C$ recommended for evaluation. Since just in control, glow curve ratios of G3 and G4 calculated from re-irradiated (1 kGy) bloody, freshwater and shortneck were over 0.5, detection in control was possible. However, as glow curve ratios after three months were below 0.5, detection by glow curve ratios after three months was impossible. Gl, which calculated from unirradiated samples, exhibited below 0.1, they were classified as unirradiated. In all samples, all the irradiated shellfish could be classified correctly as irradiated by hemaximum TL temperatures and shape of the second glow curve because those were shown in a lower temperature region than those of the first glow curve.

  • The availability of natural aggregates has decreased in recent years due to depleting reserves. From the viewpoint of energy and resources saving, it may be advantageous to use the waste concrete as construction aggregates. The purpose of this study is to analyze petrographic and chemical properties of recycled aggregate, and to investigate the resistance of concrete to rapid freezing and thawing by using replacement ratios (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 100% ) of recycled aggregate.

  • A deranged Cantor set (without the uniform bounded-ness condition away from zero of contraction ratios) whose weak local dimensions for all points coincide has its Hausdorff dimension of the same value of weak local dimension. We will show it using an energy theory instead of Frostman's density lemma which was used for the case of the deranged Cantor set with the uniform boundedness condition of contraction ratios. In the end, we will give an example of such a deranged Cantor set.

  • The purpose of this study is to propose the general method for evaluating the equivalent damping ratios of a structure with supplemental response control dampers. We define Lyapunov function of which derivative can be expressed in autoregressive form and evaluate the equivalent damping ratios by using Lyapunov function and its derivative. This Lyapunov function may be called as generalized structural energy. In this study, it is assumed that the response of a structure is stationary random process and control dampers do not affect the modal shapes of a structure, and the structure has proportional damping. Proposed method can be used to get the equivalent damping ratios of a structure with non-linear control dampers such as friction dampers as well as linear control dampers. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method. we evaluate the equivalent damping ratios of a structure with viscous dampers. AMDs. and friction dampers. The equivalent damping ratios from proposed method are compared to those from eigenvalue analysis for linear control dampers. and those from time history analysis for non-linear control dampers. respectively.

표준물질을 이용한 몰리브덴 동위원소 분석 (Molybdenum Isotope Analysis of Standard Reference Materials)

  • 산화 환원 환경에 민감하게 분별되는 몰리브덴(Mo) 안정동위원소는 지구화학적 과정을 유추할 수 있는 지시자로 사용될 수 있다. 최근 분석기기의 발달로 Mo 동위원소를 활용한 지질물질 연구가 많이 보고되고 있지만, 국내에서는 Mo 동위원소에 관한 연구가 없었다. 이번 연구에서는 컬럼관(BioRad PolyPrep(R) column, 10 ml)과 음이온 교환수지(BioRad Resin AG(R) 1-X8, 200-400 mesh)를 이용한 두 번에 걸친 컬럼 작업을 통해 Mo을 분리 및 회수하였다. 이 분리법을 이용하여 고체(BHVO-2, SDO-1, PACS-2) 및 액체(IAPSO) 표준시료의 Mo 동위원소 분석을 다검출기 유도결합 플라즈마 질량분석기(Multi-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer; MC-ICP-MS)로 측정한 결과, 측정된 표준물질의 Mo 동위원소 분석값은 참값과 오차 범위 내에서 잘 일치하였다.

Bandgap Engineering in CZTSSe Thin Films via Controlling S/(S+Se) Ratio

  • The earth-abundant element-based Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 (CZTSSe) thin film solar cells (TFSCs) have attracted greater attention in the photovoltaic (PV) community due to their rapid development in device power conversion efficiency (PCE) >13%. In the present work, we demonstrated the fine-tuning of the bandgap in the CZTSSe TFSCs by altering the sulfur (S) to the selenium (Se) chalcogenide ratio. To achieve this, the CZTSSe absorber layers are fabricated with different S/(S+Se) ratios from 0.02 to 0.08 of their weight percentage. Further compositional, morphological, and optoelectronic properties are studied using various characterization techniques. It is observed that the change in the S/(S+Se) ratios has minimal impact on the overall Cu/(Zn+Sn) composition ratio. In contrast, the S and Se content within the CZTSSe absorber layer gets altered with a change in the S/(S+Se) ratio. It also influences the overall absorber quality and gets worse at higher S/(S+Se). Furthermore, the device performance evaluated for similar CZTSSe TFSCs showed a linear increase and decrease in the open circuit voltage (Voc) and short circuit current density (Jsc) of the device with an increasing S/(S+Se) ratio. The external quantum efficiency (EQE) measured also exhibited a linear blue shift in absorption edge, increasing the bandgap from 1.056 eV to 1.228 eV, respectively.

  • Solution copolymerization of Styrene(St.) with 2-Hydroxypropylacrylate(2-HPA) was carried out with Benzoylperoxide(BPO) as an initiator in toluene at $80^{\circ}C$ in a batch reactor. Reaction volume and reaction time were 0.3 liters, 8 hours respectively. The time to reach steady state was about the six time. The monomer reactivity ratios, $r_1$(St.) and $r_2$(2-HPA) were determined by both the Kelen-Tudos method and the Fineman-Ross method ; $r_1$(St.)=0.376(0.330), $r_2$(2-HPA)=0.408(0.778). The activation energy of thermal decomposition was in the range of $33{\sim}55kcal/mol$.

Relationship between Stiffness of Restorative Material and Stress Distribution for Notch-shaped Non-carious Cervical Lesions

  • This study investigated the influence of composite resins with different elastic moduli and occlusal loading conditions on the stress distribution of restored notch-shaped non-carious cervical lesions (NCCL) using 3D finite element analysis. Two different materials, Tetric Flow and Z100, were used as representative flowable hybrid resins for the restoration of NCCL. A static point load of 500 N was applied at the buccal and palatal cusps. The ratios of stress reduction to energy dissipation were better in the compressive state than the tensile state regardless of the restorative material. The total dissipation ratios for Tetric Flow were 1.5% and 4.2% larger than those for Z100 under compression and tension, respectively. Therefore, tensile stress poses more of a risk for tooth fracture, and Tetric Flow is a more appropriate material for restoration.

Seismic behavior of suspended building structures with semi-rigid connections

  • A method is presented in this paper to analyze the dynamic response behavior of suspended building structures. The effect of semi-rigid connections that link suspended floors with their supporting structure on structural performance is investigated. The connections, like the restrains in non-structural suspended components, are designed as semi-rigid to avoid pounding and as energy dissipation components to reduce structural response. Parametric study is conducted to assess the dynamic characteristics of suspended building structures with varying connection stiffness and suspended mass ratios. Modal analysis is applied to identify the two distinct sets of vibration modes, pendulum and bearing, of a suspended building structure. The cumulative modal mass is discussed to ensure the accuracy in applying the method of response spectrum analysis by SRSS or CQC modal combination. Case studies indicate that a suspended building having semi-rigid connections and proper suspended mass ratios can avoid local pounding failure and reduce seismic response.
