에코세대의 취업변화와 자살생각 (Employment Transitions and Suicide Ideation among Echo Generation)

  • Background: This study aimed to investigate the association between employment transitions and suicide ideation among the echo generation. Methods: This study used survey data from the 2008 and 2010 Seoul Welfare Panel Study (Wave I, II). The sample population was restricted to the echo generation aged between18 and 31, and the total of 882 samples were included in the final dataset. Employment transitions were categorized into four groups. The groups were defined as 'employed-employed', 'unemployed-employed', 'employed-unemployed', and 'unemployed-unemployed'. We used logistic regression to find out the association between employment transitions and suicide ideation among the echo generation. Results: 'Employed-unemployed' and 'unemployed-unemployed' groups were likely to have an association with depression (odds ratio [OR], 1.49; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.46 to 1.51; OR, 1.57; 95% CI, 1.56 to 1.59) accordingly. 'Unemployed-unemployed' group also was related to suicide ideation (OR, 1.39; 95% CI, 1.36 to 1.42). Interestingly, 'unemployed-employed' group showed a strong association with suicide ideation among the echo generation (OR, 3.85; 95% CI, 3.75 to 3.95). Conclusion: Experience in unemployment increases the risk of depression and suicide ideation. Moreover, the precarious job also increases the risk of suicide ideation.

Health Capacity to Work at Older Ages in South Korea: Estimates and Implications for Public Pension Policies

  • Health capacity to work for the elderly is an essential piece of information for designing social policies in an aging society. Here, we assess the health capacity to work of older men in South Korea and provide a cross-country comparison. Following the methodology proposed by Milligan and Wise (2012), which uses the cohort mortality rate as a proxy for overall health status, we quantify the additional employment capacity of current older men in reference to the mortality-employment relationship of a generation ago. Despite the high employment rate of older men in South Korea, we find substantial additional employment capacity among older men (those aged 55 or more) as of 2016 comparable in size to those found in other advanced countries. We also find evidence that older men are not merely capable of working but are also willing to work, and many of them are increasingly combining pension income and work. These findings suggest that labor supply disincentives for older men embedded in public pension systems in South Korea need to be thoroughly reexamined and adjusted accordingly lest they should inhibit the labor supply of older workers.

  • Aimed at fostering global human resource and utilizing it, this study presents a more systematic approach for encouraging overseas employment of the young generation. This study suggests a method for the objective evaluation of the overseas employment program through to used the M. Porter's 5-Forces and business administrative technologies. The result of this research will allow us to suggest a well-organized and more systematic frame of the international exchange programs, in which various new policies can be found. Since the overseas employment program is a non-standard, yet important, national policy plan, the future direction of the program was suggested based on the data of the previously-promoted programs.

  • This study is approach to the Home-Based Work. More specifically, to examine about the families who try to combined home life and income-generation work under the same roof. Families were looking at Home-Based Work as one solution to the work-family crunch. Many research papers have suggested that Home-Based Work provides an effective way to balance the demands of paid employment and family responsibilities. Therefore, this proposed research reviewed the Home-Based Work as they contributed to individual and family satisfactions. The Prupose of this paper is to address issues related to Home-Based Work from the perspective of theory and application in family resource management, also to suggest a conceptual model for family work activities is advanced. This paper is examined concepts related to Home-Based Work employment that could be used to frame and describe the empirical study are specified. This paper was informed by analyses of data from project NE-167. "At-Home Income Generation: Impact on Management, Productivity, and Stability in Rural/Urban Families". The results from this paper will be helpful in enhancing the stability and satisfaction of families who worked in Home-Based Work.ased Work.

The Analysis by Postretirement of baby boom generation

  • As the aging population geworsened by the a of the low fertility rate in the wake of the birth of the low birth rate, the rapid increase in the retirement age of the baby boomers in the wake of the birth of the Korean War is a significant indication of the separation of the aged and the role of the economically rich and the role of the role of the economically rich. Therefore, this study aims to address issues and countermeasures. The study aims to provide basic data for the future life of the baby boom generation by examining the problems and responses to the economic activity after the retirement activity of the baby boomers. The research suggests that the limit was limited to the retirement age of the baby boomer generation in order to boost the employment of the elderly. Due to the lack of exploration of the exploratory research, the lack of analysis of exploratory facts is the biggest limitation of the analysis. So, further analysis of this will lead to meaningful studies. Looking at the composition of this study, the introduction of the study included the necessity and purpose of the study. The focus on the point was on the concepts and characteristics of the baby boomer, and analyzed the characteristics of the economic activity and analyses and analyses of domestic and international cases. In conclusion, the issue was drawn up and the alternatives were sought.

OECD 15개국 청년고용과 중고령자 고용의 대체관계 (The Substitution Relations between the Employment for the Youth and the Old in 15 OECD Countries)

  • 최근 고용없는 성장이 목도되는 가운데, 높은 실업률과 낮은 고용률로 압축되는 청년층 고용문제가 상당히 심각하다. 그러나 고령자의 일자리 부족, 불안정한 노동지위도 우리 사회의 중요한 현안이다. 이를 해결하기 위해 중고령자의 일자리 창출, 정년 연장이 논의되고 있지만 세대간 일자리 전쟁으로 비화되며, 청년층의 일자리 창출 정책과의 형평성으로 인해 정책추진에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 그러나 아직 이에 대한 연구가 충분히 축적되지도 않은 상태에서 문제가 진단되고 정책이 수립되는 것은 바람직하지 않다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 문제의식에 따라 한국을 포함한 OECD 15개국(1990~2010년)의 청년 고용과 중고령자 고용이 대체관계인지 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 중고령자와 청년 모두 2명 가운데 1명도 고용상태가 아닌 것으로 나타났다. 고용위기는 특정 세대의 문제가 아니라, 청년층과 중고령층 모두의 문제인 것으로 볼 수 있다. 둘째, 변인간의 관계를 분석한 결과(패널분석), 청년층 고용과 중고령층 고용은 대체관계가 아닌 것으로 나타났다. 조기퇴직정책을 추진해도 청년층 취업문제가 해결되지 않을 수 있음을 시사한다.

소비사회의 전개와 한국 세대문화론의 시각 (Debates on the ′Generation Culture′ in the Process of Consumer Society)

  • This study starts with a remark on the frequent usage of the term 'generation culture' in the explanations of cultural change. The term 'generation culture' itself does have neither a clear meaning nor any academic consensus for its operational definition yet. Depending on intuitions or common senses, in most cases, of everyday lift experience, the tends to designate the co-existence of different cultural layers as composing subsystems of a little broader Korean cultural trend. I tried here to analyze different positions and perspectives in the employment of this term, sometimes with strategic intentions of each social groups. Economic or political positions, for example, are intertwined with the quest of identification concerning 'we' and 'other' grouping dynamics in the Age of Globalization, which accelerates the speed of cultural re-territorialization. And the role of consumption activity as a kind of cultural indication has gained more weight in that process. This analysis will remind us, also, of the post-modem society's assumption about the space-and-time in transition, and its fluctuation.

풍력발전 해외수출의 경제적 파급효과 분석 (The Effects of Wind Power Generation Exports on the National Economy)

  • 최근 세계경기가 회복되고 미국 및 중국 등 주요 국가들의 신성장동력산업 육성정책이 강화됨에 따라 신재생에너지의 글로벌 경쟁이 더욱 치열한 양상으로 전개되고 있다. 신재생에너지 개발의 일환으로 주요 선진국 및 우리나라도 풍력발전에 많은 자금을 투입하여 개발 및 풍력발전소 건설을 추진하고 있다. 세계 풍력발전 시장은 약 700억 달러 규모로 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상되며, 이에 우리나라도 풍력발전의 국내 설치뿐만 아니라 해외진출도 적극 고려하고 있다. 이러한 배경 하에서 본 연구는 산업연관분석을 이용하여 풍력발전의 해외수출이 국내 경제에 미치는 파급효과를 분석하고자 한다. 특히 경제적 파급효과로 생산유발효과, 부가가치 유발효과, 취업유발효과의 3가지를 분석하되, 수요유도형 모형을 적용한 분석 결과를 제시한다. 한국은행 산업연관표 통합소분류 기준 168부문 중에서 11개 부문을 풍력발전 관련 부문이라 정의한 후, 풍력발전 관련산업을 중심에 놓고 이를 외생화하여 분석한다. 1,000억원 규모의 풍력발전을 해외로 수출하였을 경우, 생산유발효과, 부가가치 유발효과, 취업유발효과는 각각 2,050억원, 678억원, 1,054명으로 분석되었다.

신세대 가족의 가정생활에 대한 의식과 태도 연구 (Recognitions and Attitudes of the New Generation Family on the Family Life)

  • The purposes of this study are to investigate the characteristics of recognitions and attitudes of new generation family on the family life, and to help the family members of the new generation family to be able to adapt to the future family and society with the right senses and attitudes on the family life. Three-hundred married men and women who were less than 35 years old, and who continued marriage for less than five years were selected. The results of this study were as follow; 1) Types of family composition was mostly nuclear family, and got help from their parents in managing household work. 2) Most new generation family was more likely to share equal roles and rights in household affairs, decision making and ownership of real properties. 3) Most new generation family considered the personality and the sense of value as the most important conditions which their spouse must have. And they were affirmative to wives' employment. 4) Most new generation family wanted 2 children. And preferred showed that they did not care much about son preference. 5) Most new generation family showed strong sense of responsibility for taking care of their old parents. However, they showed independency of financial planning for later years. 6) In many ways of life, their recognitions and attitudes were progressive but their were conservative in practical life as the older generations did.

4대강 살리기 사업의 지역경제 파급효과 (The Effects of the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project on Regional Economy)

  • 4대강 살리기 사업은 막대한 공적재원이 투입된 대규모 국책사업으로서 지역경제 활성화는 사업의 여러 가지 목적 중 하나임에 틀림없다. 이에 본 논문에서는 4대강 살리기 사업의 지역경제 파급효과를 추정하되, 지역고용 창출효과 및 지역소득 창출효과라는 두 가지 주제에 초점을 맞추고자 한다. 지역고용 창출효과를 산정하기 위해 간접적 유발효과는 제외하고 직접적인 고용량을 조사하여 제시한다. 다음으로 대규모 전국 설문조사를 통해 가계소비, 가계소득, 지역내 소비율 등에 대한 정보를 수집하여 소비함수를 추정한 후 이로부터 한계소비성향을 추정하여, 거시경제학의 승수이론에 근거하여 지역소득 창출효과를 분석한다. 분석결과 2009년 초부터 2011년 8월 25일까지 4대강사업으로 인해 신규로 고용인원은 46,628명이었으며, 2009년 초부터 2011년 말까지의 4대강사업비 투입으로 인해 지역의 소득은 약 25조원이 새롭게 창출된 것으로 판단된다.
