Empirical Research on Performance of SCM Adoption - Structural Equation Modeling Approach - (SCM 시스템 도입성과에 관한 실증적 연구 - 구조방정식모형 접근 -)

  • The purpose of this research is to examine qualitative and quantitative performance on SCM. To validate our research model, five hundred survey questionnaires were distributed to the companies that have implemented SCM systems for at least one year. A total of 153 valid responses were obtained. In this research, we were to derive influencing factors of SCM performance, modelize the mutual influential relationship between them, and look into the influential relationship influencing the SCM performance. Moreover, we tried to analyze difference of financial ratios after adopting SCM. The results of the research can be summarized as follows. Change management had a significant impact on information system quality and SCM performance, and, information system quality had a significant impact on SCM performance. And, the difference of financial ratio was existed after the adopting SCM. Moreover, inventory turnover rates, ROI, ROA were increased, and labor costs to sales was decreased.

A Multi-level Study on the Effect of Servant Leadership and HRM Control Types on Job Burnout (서번트리더십과 인사관리 유형이 직무소진에 미치는 영향에 관한 다층분석)

  • In order to understand job burnout, it is necessary to consider not only the working environment according to the market environment but also the social situation of the team or the organization. This study analyzed the effects of job demands and job resources on job burnout based on JD-R theory. In other words, the team-level variables, servant leadership and HRM control types, were tested for the effect of moderating the individual workload, emotional labor and job burnout. The results of empirical analysis showed that the higher the self-efficacy, the less job burnout, whereas the higher the workload and emotional labor, the more job burnout. Second, the more positive the team level input and result oriented HRM are, the less positive regression relation of workload and job burnout is. Finally, it was found that the intensity of the regression relation of negative self-efficacy and job burnout was amplified in the team with servant leadership.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the strategic implication of the Korean open air market by examining the factors affecting their competitiveness. I have undertaken empirical research that uses the methodology of a mixture regression modeling, as a way to ascertain the determinants of competitiveness for the Korean open air market. I construct a mixture regression model which uses the proportions of merchandise categories as explanatory variables and the number of visitors as a dependent variable. The analysis of results show that competitive and non-competitive markets have different proportions of merchandise categories. The finding shows that stock farm products and home appliances are major influencers on the number of visitors in neighborhood markets. The finding also presents that stock farm products and processed foods are major influencers on the number of visitors in small & medium-sized city markets.

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of structural Person-Organization Fit and organizational justice on organizational commitment, job satisfaction, Organizational Citizenship Behavior and employee performance. This study is based on a quantitative approach by collecting data using a survey conducted on three SOE's companies in Indonesia that operate in Makassar City, namely Pelindo. Ltd (Port Company), PLN. Ltd (Electric Company) and Pertamina. Ltd (Oil and Gas Company), with a sample of 90 employees. The study population was all non-managerial permanent employees. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling. In structural relations, out of the nine direct tests, there were two insignificant relationships, and in all three hypotheses there was one not-supported hypothesis. When compared between person-organization Fit and Organizational Justice, it is found that organizational justice has a more critical role in building Human Resource performance compared to Person-Organization Fit, because organizational justice is better able to provide job satisfaction and make organizational commitment and OCB as a prerequisite for its formation to better Human Resources performance. With organizational justice, employees will feel more satisfied working, committed to the work and organization, and behaves as a supportive organizational citizen for the realization of the best performance for the interests of the organization going forward.

The Effect of Composite Incompatibility on Relationship Commitment and Performances in Franchiser-Franchisee Relationship (프랜차이즈 가맹본부와 가맹점 간 이해관계불일치가 관계몰입과 관계성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose - Domestic franchise market has been grown steadily, reaching 50 trillion won in sales and 3,360 franchise headquarters in 2014. A franchise system is an effective business system for the franchisees to lower the failure rate due to the fact that the inexperienced entrepreneurs are supported by their headquarters through the franchisee contract. However, there are also conflicts between franchiser and franchisee behind the quantitative growth of domestic franchise industry. Therefore, it is very important to structure the causes of conflicts and to examine the effect of factors on the relationship commitment and performances. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, the author divides the composite incompatibility between the franchise and the franchisee into goal incongruity, domain dissensus, and perceptual differences, and examines each dimension to the relationship with commitment and performances. To verify the proposed research model and test hypotheses, the author selected 200 franchise responses in food and beverage industry. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS structural equation modeling program. Results - The empirical findings provide goal incongruity and perceptual differences have a negative effect on the affective commitment, but not the calculative commitment. In addition, affective commitment and calculative commitment are found to have a positive effect on re-contractual intention and extended brand shop running intention, respectively. Affective commitment have a stronger effect on re-contractual intention than calculative commitment. Conclusions - First of all, the fact that goal incongruity and perceptual differences negatively affect the affective commitment, but it does not affect the calculative commitment. It means the relationship commitment in distribution channel are multi-dimensional concept that may be attributed to emotional or affective dimensions but may exist in terms of necessity or power-dependence. Second, the level of relationship commitment such as affective and calculative commitment to franchise headquarters positively affects the re-contractual intention and franchiser's extend brand shop running intention suggest that franchiser should encourage and support existing franchisee's commitment. Third, the fact that affective commitment has a greater effect on relationship performance than calculative commitment means to induce franchisee's affective commitment and to prevent the inconsistency between goals and perceptual differences.

News Impacts and the Asymmetry of Oil Price Volatility (뉴스충격과 유가변동성의 비대칭성)

  • Volumes of research have been implemented to estimate and predict the oil price. These models, however, fail in accurately predicting oil price as a model composed of only a few observable variables is limiting. Unobservable variables and news that have been overlooked in past research, yet have a high likelihood of affecting the oil price. Hence, this paper analyses the news impact on the price. The standard GARCH model fails in capturing some important features of the data. The estimated news impact curve for the GARCH model, which imposes symmetry on the conditional variances, suggests that the conditional variance is underestimated for negative shocks and overestimated for positive shocks. Hence, this paper introduces the asymmetric or leverage volatility models, in which good news and bad news have different impact on volatility. They include the EGARCH, AGARCH, and GJR models. The empirical results showed that negative shocks introduced more volatility than positive shocks. Overall, the AGARCH and GJR were the best at capturing this asymmetric effect. Furthermore, the GJR model successfully revealed the shape of the news impact curve and was a useful approach to modeling conditional heteroscedasticity.

The effect of image search, social influence characteristics and anthropomorphism on purchase intention in mobile shopping

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to review the previous studies on the characteristics of the image search service provided by using artificial intelligence, the social impact characteristics, and the moderating effect of perceived anthropomorphism, and conduct empirical analysis to identify the constituent factors affecting purchase intention. To clarify. Through this, I tried to present theoretical and practical implications. Research design, data, and methodology: Research design was that characteristics of image search service (ubiquity and information quality) and social impact characteristics (subjective norms, electronic word of mouth marketing) are affected by mediation of satisfaction and flow, therefore, control of perceived anthropomorphism have an effect on purchase intention to increase. For analysis, research conducted literature review, and developed questionnaires, so that EM firm which is a specialized research institute has collected data. This was conducted on 410 people between the 20s and 50s who have mobile shopping experiences. SPSS Statistics 23 and AMOS 23 had been used to perform necessary analysis such as exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, feasibility analysis, and structural equation modeling based on this data. Results: first, ubiquity, information quality and subjective norms were found to have a positive effect on purchase intention through satisfaction and flow parameters. Second, satisfaction and flow were found to have a mediating effect between ubiquity, information quality, and subjective norms and purchase intentions. However, there was no mediating effect between eWOM information and purchase intention. Third, perceived anthropomorphism was found to have a moderating effect between information quality and satisfaction, and it was found that there was no moderating effect on the relationship between information quality and flow. Conclusions: The information quality of image search services using artificial intelligence has a positive effect on satisfaction, and it has been found that there is a positive moderate effect of perceived anthropomorphism in this relationship, which may be an academic contribution to the distribution science utilizing artificial intelligence. Therefore, it is possible to propose a distribution strategy that improves purchase intention by utilizing image search service and anthropomorphism in practical business and providing a more enjoyable immersive experience to customers.

  • Gamut mapping is a technique that acts on cross-media color reproduction to transform a color between devices for the purpose of enhancing the appearance or preserving the appearance of an image. Gamut mapping essentially produces color conversion error which depends on the gamut mapping method, source and destination devices, and sample points for gamut modeling. For color space conversion between monitor colors and printer colors, empirical representation using sample measurements is currently widely utilized. Color samples are uniformly selected in the device space such as CMY or RGB, represented as color patches, and then measured. However, in the case of printer, these color samples are not evenly distributed inside the printer gamut and the color conversion error is increased. Accordingly, this paper introduces a equally distributed color sampling method in CIELAB space, a device- independent color space, to reduce color conversion error, and the performance is analyzed via color space conversion experiments using three-dimensional interpolation.

The Influence of Service Recovery Justice on Intention to Recommend for Retailer

  • Purpose: This research aimed to suggest retailing companies some ways to enhance customer satisfaction with service recovery and recommendation intention towards these companies. For this purpose, current study examined the relationships among service recovery justice, service failure severity, customer trust, recovery satisfaction and intention to recommend and the moderating role of ego-resilience. Research design, data and methodology: Current study developed a structural equation model in which perceived service recovery justice is a predictor, service failure severity, customer trust, recovery satisfaction are mediators, intention to recommend is a dependent variable and the ego-resilience is a moderator between the perceived service recovery justice and the customer trust and the recovery satisfaction. Data were collected from customers who experienced service failures from retailers. A total of 400 questionnaires were collected and 365 samples were used for analysis after deleting data having missing value. SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 24.0 were used to test the validity, reliability, and structural equation modeling. Results: Empirical results showed that the perceived service recovery justice had a negative influence on the perceived service failure severity and a positive influence on the customer trust and the recovery satisfaction. These results indicate that when customers perceive the service recovery justice more highly, they perceive the service failure less severe but they perceive the retailer more trustworthy and are satisfied with service recovery. In addition, the customer trust and the recovery satisfaction had a positive influence on the intention to recommend. These results indicate that when customers perceive the retailer more trustworthy and are satisfied with service recovery, they are more intend to recommend the retailer. Moreover, the influence of the perceived service recovery justice on the customer trust and the recovery satisfaction was moderated by the ego-resilience. Conclusions: This study contributed to the service recovery literature by proving the relationship among service recovery justice, service failure severity, customer trust, recovery satisfaction and intention to recommend. Moreover, current research introduced the ego-resilience into service recovery research area and revealed the moderation role of the ego-resilience. Managerially, this research suggested retailing companies some ways to effectively recover from service failure.

  • The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of authentic leadership on occupational self-efficacy and role-based performance and to investigate the effect of occupational self-efficacy on role-based performance. Moreover, another objective of this study is to analyse the mediating role of occupational self-efficacy in the influence of authentic leadership on role-based performance. To accomplish the purpose of the study, this study employed two methods: literature reviews and empirical studies. The results showed that authentic leadership increase employees' occupational self-efficacy and have a positive influence on role-based performance. And it was found that employees' occupational self-efficacy also positively affect employees' role-based performance.
