  • The maritime industry is undergoing significant changes due to digitalization and decarbonization, collectively known as "2D." This study investigates how these transformations are impacting the industry's business models. Since the changes are still ongoing, a cognitive approach was used to derive business models, rather than relying on actual case studies. The study presents experimental maritime business models that correspond to the four types of business model frameworks (or archetypes), along with recent trends for each model. The research results show that new business models are emerging in various areas, including the commercial and technical fields of the maritime industry. This thought-provoking study is significant as a pioneering investigation that will stimulate subsequent case-based research in academia and provide strategic guidance to market participants or policy makers in the maritime industry.

  • Interior construction is required to estimate the quantity of material and the cost expected from 2D drawing in design phase and look for the reasonable method of work. Therefore, exact estimation for quantity and budgeting are very important processes, as a measure of judging the profitability of interior construction. These processes are mostly based on 2D drawing, so time and experienced staff are required. Error and omission can occur because the experienced staff also calculates the area using 2D based drawing. Interior market is currently based on 3D modeling from planning to final design. Accordingly, estimating quantity based on 3D modeling is emerging as a way of reducing error and omission. This paper will present the methodology on calculating area, the basic element of estimating quantity based on 3D Modeling in interior field.

  • This study examined the trade of the Central Asian CIS countries and the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. These countries are rich in resources such as oil, natural gas and aluminum. These countries were switched to capitalist market economy after independence from the Soviet Union. So, these countries are considered as new emerging markets. This study analyzed the current status of trade between Daegu-Gyeongbuk region and Central Asian CIS countries. The result of analysis of the trade structure between the Daegu-Gyeongbuk and Central Asian CIS countries, and of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region exports to Central Asian CIS countries showed insufficience when compared with the total export of korea. In this study, we used the gravity model to analyze the trade volume of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region and Central Asian CIS countries. The result of analysis is that the globalization of Central Asian CIS countries appeared to be effective in increasing trade. In order to increase trade, Korea and CIS countries should strengthen their economic cooperation. Especially, these countries should try to implement FTAs for economic integration. The Central Asian CIS countries have an industrial structure that relies on resource exports. So, they have a blueprint for diversification of industries through national long-term plans. The Daegu-Gyeongbuk region's economy has been going through long-term stagnation. If the Daegu-Gyeongbuk companies can enter the Central Asian CIS countries, it can be a solution for the local economy.

  • Economy of Communion (EoC) is an emerging economic principle that recognizes the dilemma of traditional perspectives and turns to human centered values and ideas. Furthermore the EoC encompasses all the principles derives from free market economy, ethical norm and social solidarity. This study aims to understand Economy of Communion concepts and its ripple effects under current Korean economy condition which mainly follows Neo-liberalism. Korean economy needs new paradigm to deal with intensifying economical inequality in Korea these days. By understanding EoC's primary value and studying research cases and Sungsimdang, Seokwangsa one of EoC enterprise cases in Korea, this study suggests new economic paradigm. In response to the needs, two important practices should be manifested through fraternity: 1) mutural equity, and 2) dissemination of giving culture. These are construct the economy of communion, which is defined as unique humanism. This study is also expected to suggest new paradigm that establishes new economy system that can cover current economy system's problems.

  • As appearance of diverse electric power supplies and fuel cells have been emerging, UAVs have capacity to prolong their flight missions. Nowadays, the rotary based UAVs that are commonly distributed on the open market, adapt rechargeable batteries and have around 50 centimeters in width and generally within 30 minutes in hovering flight capacities. UAV's flight time highly depends on the capacity and the weight of its batteries. To cope with the flight time, recharging methods are also being researched. their researches are mainly divided into coupled and decoupled in manner. In this article, we propose the method to refine the position more effectivly and precisely adapting QR Code and 3-D position estimation so that UAVs enable to land on the recharging system successfully.

  • The market for eco-friendly food materials by online distribution is rapidly growing due to major environmental pollution such as air, soil, and water quality, and radical changes in living patterns caused by COVID-19. In addition, because of the aging population and the decrease in agricultural-related population due to social structural changes, aquaponics is emerging as a system that can solve problems such as independence of old economic activities, environmental protection, and securing healthy and safe food. This paper aims to design an intelligent plant growth measurement system among intelligent aquaponics production management modules for optimal growth environment derivation and quantitative production prediction by converging various ICT technologies into existing aquaponics systems. In particular, the focus is on designing systems suitable for production sites that do not have high-performance processing resources, and we propose a module configuration plan for production environments and training data and prediction systems.

  • Multinational Corporations (MNCs) are increasingly establishing globally-distributed R&D (Research and Development) centers in which sites around the world work collaboratively to develop new manufacturing and product technologies. Following new globalization strategies, these projects more often include sites in Emerging/Newly Industrializing Economies (E/NIEs). The success of these ventures promises to be increasingly important both for the bottom line of MNCs and for the development ambitions of E/NIEs. This study attempts to identify these trends and to compare R&D transfer between Korea and China. The study identifies specific factors on MNC's R&D transfer and compares those operating factors between the R&D centers in Korea and China, which attract many MNCs in the world. Among those eight dimensions relating to MNCs' operation, there are significant differences in site selection, market characteristics, government support, and R&D networking between Korea and China. The analysis show more positive factors on China than Korea regarding R&D operations. The result will be helpful for both MNC's managers and governments' decision makers with respect to R&D transfer.

  • With the enforcement of environmental regulations by the International Maritime Organization, the market for eco-friendly ships is expanding, and ships using electric propulsion devices are emerging as a promising solution. Many studies have been conducted to predict the failure of ships, but most of them are mainly research on the main diesel engine of ships. As the ship's propulsion method changes, new data is needed to predict the failure of electric propulsion ships. In this paper aims to analyze the failure characteristics of the electric propulsion system in consideration of the difference in the type of failure between the internal diesel engine and the electric propulsion system. The ship's propulsion unit assumed a DC motor and a signal pattern for normal conditions and general failure modes, but the failure record of the electric propulsion device operated on the actual ship was not available, so it generated a failure signal for small electric motor equipment to identify the failure signal. Assuming unbalance, misalignment, and bearing failure, which are the primary failure modes of the ship's electric motor, a failure signal was generated using a "rotator vibration data generator," and the frequency band, size, and phase difference of the measured vibration signal were analyzed to analyze the characteristics of each failure condition. Finally, the characteristics of each failure condition were identified so that the signals according to the failure type could be classified.
