  • The existing electronic transaction protocol uses a cryptography algorithm that is not suitable for mobile environment because of limited memory and process ability. In this paper, we propose an efficient transaction protocol suitable for mobile embedded system. The proposed protocol reduces computation and process time by using ID-based cryptography algorithm and ECC (elliptic curve cryptosystem). It uses vendor authentication only in the first transaction, and from the second transaction, it requires transaction after authentication with session created by applying ECC technique. Therefore, the creation number of authentication for the vendor can be reduced from n to one. And it reduces process time because it provides the same security with 160 bits as with 1024 bits of RSA.

  • Key agreement protocol is a fundamental protocol in cryptography whereby two or more participants can agree on a common conference key in order to communicate securely among themselves. In this situation, the participants can securely send and receive messages with each other. An adversary not having access to the conference key will not be able to decrypt the messages. In this paper, we propose a novel identity-based authenticated multi user key agreement protocol employing a symmetric balanced incomplete block design. Our protocol is built on elliptic curve cryptography and takes advantage of a kind of bilinear map called Weil pairing. The protocol presented can provide an identification (ID)-based authentication service and resist different key attacks. Furthermore, our protocol is efficient and needs only two rounds for generating a common conference key. It is worth noting that the communication cost for generating a conference key in our protocol is only O($\sqrt{n}$) and the computation cost is only O($nm^2$), where $n$ implies the number of participants and m denotes the extension degree of the finite field $F_{p^m}$. In addition, in order to resist the different key attack from malicious participants, our protocol can be further extended to provide the fault tolerant property.

  • With the development of multiuser online meetings, more group-oriented technologies and applications for instance collaborative work are becoming increasingly important. Authenticated Group Key Agreement (AGKA) schemes provide a shared group key for users with after their identities are confirmed to guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of group communications. On the basis of the Public Key Cryptography (PKC) system used, AGKA can be classified as Public Key Infrastructure-based, Identity-based, and Certificateless. Because the latter type can solve the certificate management overhead and the key escrow problems of the first two types, Certificateless-AGKA (CL-AGKA) protocols have become a popular area of research. However, most CL-AGKA protocols are vulnerable to Public Key Replacement Attacks (PKRA) due to the lack of public key authentication. In the present work, we present a CL-AGKA scheme that can resist PKRA in order to solve impersonation attacks caused by those attacks. Beyond security, improving scheme efficiency is another direction for AGKA research. To reduce the communication and computation cost, we present a scheme with only one round of information interaction and construct a CL-AGKA scheme replacing the bilinear pairing with elliptic curve cryptography. Therefore, our scheme has good applicability to communication environments with limited bandwidth and computing capabilities.

  • 쇼어 알고리즘을 실행할 수 있는 양자 컴퓨터의 발전으로 인해 기존 ECC(Elliptic Curve Cryptography)를 사용하던 블록체인이 PQC(Post Quantum Cryptography)로의 전환을 고려하고 있다. NIST(National Institute of Standards and Technology)가 선정한 Crystal-Dilithium, Falcon 그리고 Sphincs+를 적용하여 비교 분석하였다.

  • The finite-field multiplication can be applied to the wide range of applications, such as signal processing on communication, cryptography, etc. However, an efficient algorithm and the hardware design are required since the finite-field multiplication takes much time to compute. In this paper, we propose a radix-4 systolic multiplier on $GF(2^m)$ with comparative area and performance. The algorithm of the proposed standard-basis multiplier is mathematically developed to map on low-cost systolic cell, so that the proposed systolic architecture is suitable for VLSI design. Compared to the bit-serial and digit-serial multipliers, the proposed multiplier shows relatively better performance with low cost. We design and synthesis $GF(2^{193})$ finite-field multiplier using Hynix $0.35{\mu}m$ standard cell library and the maximum clock frequency is 400MHz.

  • The advancement in technology has led to the enormous use of multimedia applications. The video/image recorded by such applications provides critical information that can be used as a visual evidence. However, owing to the adequacy in using different editing tools, it is susceptible to malicious alterations. Thus, the reliability or the integrity of the visual information should be verified before using it as an evidence. In this paper, we propose an integrity verification method for the surveillance system using randomized hashing. The integrity value of the surveillance data is generated using the randomized hashing and elliptic curve cryptography (ECC), which is used later for the validation. The experimental results obtained from the embedded accident data recorder (ADR) system shows that the proposed method is very efficient and provides a high level of security.

  • Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) coprocessors support massive scalar multiplications of a point. We research the design for multi-segment multipliers in fixed-size ECC coprocessors using the multi-segment Karatsuba algorithm on GF($2^m$). ECC coprocessors of the proposed multiplier is verified on the SoC-design verification kit which embeds ALTERA EXCALIBUR FPGAs. As a result of our experiment, the multi-segment Karatsuba multiplier, which has more efficient performance about twice times than the traditional multi-segment multiplier, can be implemented as adding few H/W resources. Therefore the multi-segment Karatsuba multiplier which satisfies performance for the cryptographic algorithm, is adequate for a low cost embedded system, and is implemented in the minimum area.

  • Recently, as network and computer technologies are growing rapidly, most of business transactions are performed in cyber world. In spite of many advantages, the most concerns in Electronic Commerce are the information security matters, and the cryptosystem has been claimed as one of the proper means to settle this problem. In this paper, a partial encryption/decryption algorithm has been in-troduced to show the efficiency against the conventional method in which all the data are completely encoded. In our proposed scheme, the multimedia data can be efficiently encoded in a short time providing good data security. For example, the MP3 data can be securely protected with 10% encryption in our scheme. Moreover, 1he shuffling process at the end of partial encryption procedure provides higher level of data security.

  • Along with the development of Information Technology, online transactions through Internet have become more popular for the reasons of convenience and efficiency. In order to provide secure and reliable online transactions, an effective electronic payment protocol is crucial. In this paper, we propose a novel electronic payment protocol for digital product transactions with an offline arbiter to achieve fair exchange, automated dispute resolution, customer anonymity, and customer unlinkability. In our protocol a product token is adopted to eliminate the need of key management for digital product decryption in the offline arbiter. In addition, Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC)-based self-certified public key is utilized to further reduce computing overheads. According to our analysis, the efficiency of our protocol can be greatly increased in comparison with previous literatures.
