초등학교 영양사의 직무수행도와 직무만족도 (Job Achievement and Job Satisfaction of Dietitian in Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study is to gather basic data on dietitian's general characteristics, working conditions, job achievement and job satisfaction. Thereby, a formulation can be worked out to improve dietitian's job achievement and satisfaction. The study was conducted during one week period, spanning July 23 to July 30, 1998. The method of the study was to distribute 560 questionnaires to the primary school dieticians working in the city of Tae Jun, located in Choong-Cheong Province. Out of 560 questionnaires that was distributed, 327 were returned. Moreover, 318 out of 327 questionnaires that was returned was valid enough to be processed by the SAS Program. About sixty percent of the respondents(61.1%) indicated that they were between 26 to 30 years old. Moreover, approximately half of the respondents(48.8%) were unmarried. In terms of the level of education, the bachelor's degree was reported as the most common education level(56.3%), while 3.8% of the participants reported achieving graduate degrees. The number of years in working in the profession ranged from 2 to 5 years. Furthermore, approximately 74% of the respondents indicated that, on average, they earned over ₩800,000 per month. In terms of the type of the school setting, 52.8% of the respondents worked in the urban setting, whereas, 60.0% worked in the rural school setting. Of these schools, about thirty eight percent(38.7%) of the schools were relatively small sized schools(400 students or less ). In terms of dietitian's sense of job satisfaction, the areas that showed relatively high level of satisfaction was in the menu control work(3.90) and purchase control work(3.90). However, appallingly low job satisfaction was indicated in the areas of personnel management (2.96%), and nutritional education and counsel(2.73%). Furthermore, job satisfaction varied greatly depending on age, wage, type of the food service, and type of school. The highest satisfaction was indicated in the areas of supervisory position(3.42), work itself(3.31%), co-workers(3.11). Other facets that led to job satisfaction were periodic wage increase(2.19%) and promotion opportunities(2.79%). In conclusion dietitian's job achievement showed significant correlation with job satisfaction. The study suggests that, in order to improve the overall job satisfaction of the dieticians, it is necessary to improve the working conditions of dieticians in primary schools. Secondly, there is a necessity for improving the status of the dieticians by raising the salary and treating the dieticians with the same level of respect in comparison with teachers or executive officials. Finally, another way of raising the job satisfaction of the dieticians is to provide opportunity for continuing education. So that, they can further their career in their chosen field.

한 농촌지역 학교보건의 현황과 개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Present Condition and Reform Plan of School Health in a Rural Area)

  • This research has incorporated a postal survey from the principals, nurse-charging teachers and nurse-teachers of the fiftyfive elementary, middle and high school in Yang-pyeong county area where its supplementary rate of nurse-teachers is less than adequate. It is to analyse the current status of the school health service in the area and to come out with a plan to improve the school health program through the participations of the health related experts of the local community. The survey was done in the two months of period of April to May of 1994. The result of the survey follows. The student population in the Yang-pyeong county area is 13,998 and the school employee population is 904 which counts for about 19.2% of the whole population of the area. However, the supplementary rate of nurse-teachers is only 10.8% (4 in 55 schools) which is very low in terms of relativity. School health committee only exist in 17% of the whole number of schools in the area and 50 of school health committee answered that their activity do not meet the adequate level. Only 54. 3% of the whole school numbers has included the school health finance in their financial plans and the amount set for the school health finance is about 500,000 wons (100,000-1,600,000 wons). 64.9% of the schools in the Yang-pyeong county area have the permanent nursing room established in the school. But, often than the equipment for a simple physical examinations, their supply of the health related equipments are less than adequate. Particitations of school doctor in the school health service is at only 67.6% which pretty much include only the physical examinations. Nurse-charging teachers consider their utmost important role is to teach health education but, they answered that they spent most of their times and efforts on physical examinations & immunizations. The average number of students visition to the nursing room is 2.5 persons and complains for basic discomfort as headache, concussion, stomachache and indigestion problems and usual pills used are the analgesics and digestives. Physical examination is done in the most schools every year but, 51.4% of nurse-charging teachers answered the physical examination does not really help. About the emergency treatment ability, 75.7% reports that both manpower & equipment are short. The school food services are present in only 8 schools (21.6%) but, 89.2% of nurse-charging teachers answer that there is a definite need of the food service. The survey says that the utmost important environmental health and safety factors are the traffic accidents followed by improper heat system, lighting, the stools and desks that do not consider the student physical status The overall evaluation of school health program reports that there are adequate physical examination, immunization, environmental hygiene, and management of safety but, on the other hand, health education, health councelling & management of nursing room are not managed properly. The principals of the survey pool report shortage of public agency support, lack of understanding of school health, shortage of nursing equipments and school health finance as the barrier factors of school health. The nurse-charging teachers report on the same questions as their less than qualitifying expertise, extraload of work upon the nursing affairs, shortage of nursing equipments & school health finance. The head masters & nurse-charging teachers answered that they are desperate for the meetings of nurse-charging teachers, construction of school health councelling system & training education in order to improve school health and if these are available, they will actively participate in them. After the careful analysis of the survey result, it is apparent that through the relations of the manpowers, establishment of community-oriented school health is definitely in need in rural area where there is low supplementary rate of nurse-teachers and poor school health environment.

영양교사의 서번트 리더십이 조리원의 임파워먼트와 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (Influence of a Nutrition Teacher's Servant Leadership on Cooks' Empowerment & Organizational Commitment)

  • 본 연구는 학교조직에서 영양교사의 서번트 리더십이 조리원의 임파워먼트 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위하여 대구광역시 초 중 고등학교에 근무하는 조리원 288명을 연구대상으로 조사대상으로 선정하여 설문조사를 수행하였고 수집된 자료는 SPSS 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰도 검증, 상관관계 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 가설을 검증한 결과, 영양교사의 서번트 리더십은 조리원의 임파워먼트에 정(+)의 영향을 미칠 것이다 라는 가설1과 영양교사의 서번트 리더십은 조리원의 조직몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미칠 것이다 라는 가설2는 부분 채택되었고, 조리원의 임파워먼트는 조직몰입에 정(+)의 영향을 미칠 것이다 라는 가설3은 채택되었다. 따라서 학교급식의 질을 좌우하는 조리원이 자신의 업무를 자율성과 창의성에 바탕을 두고 수행할 수 있도록 영양교사가 서번트 리더십을 발휘해야 할 것이다. 서번트 리더로서 자신의 역할을 수행하기 위해 영양교사는 서번트 리더십 함양을 위한 다양한 교육과 연수를 지속적으로 받을 필요성이 있을 것이다.

사업장 규모에 따른 근로자의 식생활 실태 (A Study on Worker's Dietary Life according to Workplace Scale)

  • This study is intended to research workers' health, diet and the demand of nutrition education service in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do province. We implemented the survey from September 2012 through August 2013, and analyzed the data from 589 workers' questionnaires out of 890. For the analysis of the compiled data, we utilized the SPSS version 18.0 statistical package program. The study showed that majority of the workers participated in the survey consisted of 447 male (75.9%) and 142 female (24.1%). BMI showed that these men were overweight ($24.5{\pm}2.72$) and women were normal weight ($22.2{\pm}2.70$). Participants often diagnosed with hypertension or hyperlipidemia. In terms of health status, 34.5% answered satisfactory, the most concerned illness was high blood pressure, and the bad eating habits were often associated with general overeating and excessive intake of salt. 65.5% of participants had a meal three times per day. 49.4% of male participants had a meal less than 15 minutes and 66.2% of female participants had a meal between 15 and 30 minutes. The average of workers who needed to nutrition education is 3.74+0.85. The most desired way of learning was through counseling (36.7%), with overweight and weight management identified as the most interested topics. A relatively high portion (80%) passed the nutrition knowledge assessment test. According to the survey the highest rate of full-time employment is 85.2% which showed in small work places (the number of people on meal plan was 100~300), however the lowest rate of full-time employment showed 70.0% in large workplaces (the number of people on meal plan was within 1,000).

전남지역 학교급식의 위생관리 실태 (Performance Status of Sanitary Management of School Food Service in the Jeonnam Area)

  • This study analyzed the effects of nutrition technicians' hygiene education on cooking workers' performance of hygiene management in order to ensure the security of school meals. The situation of cooking workers' disposition in subject schools was elementary school(51.1%) and middle school(48.9%) and the type of meals was rural area type(54.2%), urban type(36.5%). and island and isolated area type(9.3%). The methods of meals management were single cooking(88.2%) and joint cooking and management(11.8%). The type of distributing meals was distributing in a dining room(93.5%), in a classroom(3.7%), and in both dining room and classroom(2.8%). Nutrition technicians' employment form included regular(53.5%) and daily(88.2%). Their education was junior college graduate(50.2%), university graduate(44.8%). and graduate school students(5.0%). Cooking workers' employment form included daily(88.2%) and regular (11.1%). suggesting that most were regular. Most cooking workers(77.4%) had at least high school certificate. Regarding the situation of cooking workers' disposition in subject schools, the number of student per one cooking worker was found as 91-120(37.2%), 61-90(22.6%). 60 and under(21.l %). 121-15006.7%). and 151 and over(2.5%). Cooking workers' level of performance of hygiene management was post-working stage(66.37/75 marks), pre-working stage(64.22/75 marks). and working stage(20.34/25 marks), The counting of meals articles in a pre-working stage(20.34/25 marks). temperature and required time in a working stage(18.78/25 marks), and machinery equipment and hygiene in a pre-working stage(21.40/25 marks) showed lowest of performance, which suggest poor service of hygiene. Cooking workers' performance of hygiene management by working stage showed the significant difference with school class(p<.001), type of schools with meals(p<.05). state of cooking workers' employment(p<.001), and cooking worker's disposition(p<.05). A working stage showed the significant difference with type of schools with meals(p<.05). A post-working stage showed the significant difference according to type of schools with meals(p<.05), and the methods of meals management(p<.05), and cooking workers' disposition(p<.05). In the execution of hygiene education, individual hygiene was highest(94.8%), followed by the management of machinery equipment and tools(89.7%), food poisoning and microorganism(94.7%), and the method of food treatment(76.4%). A yearly plan of hygiene education included established(83.9%) and not established(l6.1%). Regular education included not executed(25.1%), 2-3 times a month(l6.1%), and more than 4 a month(4.0%) and occasional education was not executed(57.0%), 1-3 times a month(26.3%), and more than 4 a month(l5.7%). In the methods for hygiene education, oral education(95.7%) was used most, followed by demonstration(10.5%), poster/photo(10.5%), video/slide(3.7%), and computer(3.7%). Frequency of improvement and complement of hygiene education included once a month(56.3%), once a year(20.7%), by quarter(l1.5%), and every six months(1l.5%). Newspaper was used most in materials of hygiene education, followed by internet, TV, nutrition technician's reeducation, information exchange between members, educational office's training, and reference book, and educational office's material. and symposium. Cooking workers' assessment of the effect of hygiene education was conducted through observation(56.8%), check table(l5.2%), question(l4.0%), and examination(14.0%). The reason of cooking workers' low level of performance included habitual custom(53.9%), lack of understanding(20.4%), overwork(l4.6%), and lack of knowledge(l1.l%) and the reason of difficulty in hygiene education included lack of time(55.3%), lack of understanding(27.6%), lack of knowledge and information(8.7%), and lack of budget(48.0%).

2020 한국인 영양소 섭취기준 활용 자료 개발 (The development of resources for the application of 2020 Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans)

  • 본 연구 결과, 식품군별 대표식품과 1인 1회 분량이 설정되었으며 생애주기별, 성별 1일 에너지필요추정량에 따른 식품군별 섭취횟수를 계산하여 제시한 권장식사패턴 및 이를 활용한 권장식사구성안 12종이 제시되었다. 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 유지·당류 섭취량의 감소를 위한 인지를 높이기 위해 1인 1회분량과 식품구성자전거에 유지·당류 식품군을 포함하였다. 자료 분석과 일반인 및 전문가 대상 설문조사를 실시하여 2020 KDRIs 기반 생애주기별 영양문제 범주화 및 대국민 메시지에 기반한 사용자 맞춤형 웹기반 영양 콘텐츠 개발 및 홍보를 위한 근거를 마련하였다. 이를 근거로 일반국민과 청소년 대상 카드뉴스 2종, 새로운 2020 식품구성자전거와 권장식사패턴을 홍보하기 위한 카드뉴스 2종과 5개 언어 (한국어, 영어, 일본어, 베트남어, 중국어) 포스터가 제작되었다. 또한 영양교육주제의 우선순위 선정 후 단계별 교육프로그램 설계 후 교육목표에 따른 교수학습안과 교수자료, 평가도구 등이 개발되었다. 이와 같은 자료는 모두 보건복지부와 한국영양학회 누리집을 통해 배포되었으니 다양한 분야에서 다각적인 측면에서 활용되기를 기대한다.

기업현장교사 및 기업교육의 만족도가 도제교육 만족도와 직무역량 함양에 미치는 영향 - NCS 직무표준과 사업단 유형을 중심으로 - (The effect of corporate field teacher and corporate education satisfaction on apprenticeship education satisfaction and student job competency - Focusing on NCS job standards and apprenticeship school project group types -)

  • 본 연구는 기업현장교사 및 기업교육 만족도가 도제교육 만족도 및 학생의 직무 역량 함양에 미치는 영향을 NCS 직무 표준 및 산학일체형 도제학교 사업단 집단 중심으로 탐색하였다. 연구 결과 전기·전자 및 음식서비스 분야에서 기업현 장교사의 만족도는 학생의 직무역량 향상에 긍정적인 영향력을 미쳤으나, 경영·회계·사무와 정보통신 분야에서는 기업교육 만족도가 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 사업단 유형별 분석에서는 공동실습유형과 산업계 주도 유형에서 기업현장교사의 만족도가 직무역량 향상에 큰 영향력을 미치는 것으로 분석되었으나, 거점학교형과 단일학교 유형에서는 기업교육 만족도의 영향력이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 기업현장교사의 역량에 대한 재정의와 더불어 역량 제고에 정책적인 고민이 필요하며, 사업단 유형과 NCS 직무 표준 분류 간의 연관성을 염두에 둔 산학일체형 도제학교 운영계획의 수립과 실행이 필요하다.

일 지역 성인의 구강건강실태에 관한 조사연구 (A study on the status of the Dental Health of Adults)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the state of the dental health of adults, used self-reporting qestionnaire as objects of 923 residents living in nine districts at random among the sites of eleven town located in a County. The level of knowledge on dental health of adults in a County was 65.6 points out of 100 points, comparatively low. Accodingly, it is necessary for entire adults to have a dental health-related education and get high standard of knowledge. Especially, educational approach should be performed for groups of 40-49 years old, 50-59 years old, above 60 years old, male, no educational background, having only elementary and middle school education, not having any jobs, engaging in agriculture, doing business on their own and so on. When planning the contents of health education, one actually has to include the habit of amalgam, the factor in influencing on dental health as well as show an example such as how to brush teeth, checking point of proper brushing, how to grip toothbrush. The attitude score related to dental heath was 71.2 points out of 100 points, relatively low. Consequently, the change of attitude related the dental health among entire adults is necessary, particularily, the strategical approach is essential to change dental health connected to attitude positively for groups of male, having high school education background, office workers and the civil service. Besides, among dental health related symtoms, more that 30-40% of objects showed negative attitude toward as the following cases; in case that plaque or food debris are attached to the teeth (40.8%), upper and lower teeth do not fit together(40.3%), you cannot sleep well because of toothache(31.0%), more than one tooth fall out(31.0%), you have loosing teeth(30.6%), the approach should be conducted to form attitude that dental care is necessry. The state of dental health through dental health related symtoms was 33.3 points out of 100 points, which was fairly satisfactory. However, dental treatment for the state of dental health should be executed in case of comparison of the dental health state according to general characteristics, the group who are above 60 years old, have elementary school education background, engage in aggriculture who are not good in dental health state as opposed to other groups. Furthermore, there should be dental care needs according to dental health related symtoms, particularly, more than 60-70% of objects have experienced symtoms that plaque or food debris attached to the teeth, tartar is on the teeth so dental treatment should be peformed for a large number of adults. In addition, for the people who have indications that there was a cavity, more than one tooth loss, chilled teeth, toothache when chewing, loose teeth, upper and lower teeth do not fit together, you cannnt sleep well due to the toothach, etc, there should be care through dental treatment. The actual conditions of the hygine of the mouth was relatively good and the difference of the actual state of dental health care in terms of general characteristics showed in only gender; female was more careful in dental health. Comparing the state of oral health synthetically, when they have symtoms, only 34.8% of objects go to a dentist, 60.7% are using passive or negative care such as gargling, tolerating or ignoring. There was many symtoms to care through dental therapy such as plaque or food debris get in between the teeth, tartar on the teeth, teeth are very cold, more than one tooth fallout, loose teeth, there is wrong amalgam, and so on, among symtoms to care passively or negatively. Therefore the education for proper treatment program should be performed. As a result of dental health-related knowlege, attitude, health state, verification of correlation between the actual condition of care, the higher the dental heath-related knowldege becomes, the more positive the dental health-related attitude is, and the state of dental health, that is, the standard of the symtom of dental health diminishes. the care for dental health executed through more active method and the more positive dental health-related attitude is, the more active means they performed. Consequently, the high level of dental health-related knowledge should be necessary, the more positive the dental health-related attitude was, the more active method they adopted, therefore, the program is needed to form attitude related to the dental health positively. As the knowledge on dental health is increasing, the attitude is also positive, after all, the plan to increase the standard of knowledge on dental health should be contrived through education program related to dental health.

서울지역 일부 초등학생의 생활 습관병 가족력, 식품군 섭취 형태 및 활동량 평가 (The Family History of Chronic Diseases, Food Group Intakes, and Physical Activity Practices among School Children in Seoul, Korea)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 $5{\sim}6$학년 아동의 식품군의 섭취 횟수 및 활동량을 조사하여 2005년 한국영양학회의 영양 섭취 기준에 따른 식사 구성안의 식품군 일일 권장 섭취 횟수와 비교하였으며, 또한 질병 가족력이 있는 아동의 식품군 섭취 횟수, 비만도, 활동량 등을 분석하여 질병 위험 요인을 조사하였다. 1. 남아의 경우 83.2% 정상 체중, 7.4% 경도 비만, 7.4% 중등도 비만, 2% 고도 비만으로 나타났고, 여아는 89.9% 정상 체중, 6.2% 경도 비만, 3.5% 중등도 비만, 0.5% 고도 비만으로 나타났다(p<0.05). 남아의 54%가 일일 $1{\sim}2$시간의 신체 활동을 하는 반면 여아의 대부분(80%)은 일일 1시간 미만의 신체 활동을 하는 것으로 조사되었다(p<0.05). 2. 성별에 따른 식품군 섭취 횟수는 채소군 에서만 유의적인 차이가 나타났으며(p<0.05), 일일 권장 섭취 횟수에 대한 순응도는 곡류군($4{\sim}5$회/일)에서 가장 높았으며, 어육류 군과 우유 군의 경우 순응도가 매우 낮았다. 성별에 따른 일일 고지방 스낵 섭취 횟수에는 차이가 없었으나(남아 32%, 여아 34%), 일일 고당질 스낵 섭취 횟수에는 유의적인 차이가 있었다(남아 24%, 여아 34% p<0.05). 3. 비만 가족력이 있는 아동의 경우 가족력이 없는 아동에 비해 비만 아동이 많았으며(p<0.05), 고당질 스낵(p<0.05)이나 고지방 스낵(p<0.05)을 매일 섭취하는 비율도 대조군에 비해 유의적으로 높았다(p<0.05). 조사된 주요 식품군 중 채소군과 고혈압 가족력의 상관성(p<0.05)을 제외하고는 생활습관병 가족력 유무에 따른 주요식품군 섭취에 유의적인 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 우리나라는 날로 생활 습관병의 발병율이 높아지고 있으며, 그로 인한 경제적인 손실도 증가하고 있다. 생활 습관병은 일단 발병하면 치유가 어려우므로 미리 예방하는 것이 최선의 방법이다. 생활 습관병의 위험요인 중 식생활 및 신체 활동습관은 우리의 의지로 조절이 가능하며 초등학교 5, 6학년은 특히 본인의 의지에 의해 식품을 선택할 수 있는 시기이므로 이 시기의 효과적인 영양교육은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 다양한 식품을 선택하고 균형 있는 식생활을 위한 영양섭취 기준과 식사 구성안에 대한 영양 교육이 필요하며, 특히 당뇨병이나 비만 가족력이 있는 아동에 대한 체계적인 건강 및 영양 관리가 한국인의 생활 습관병의 발병 위험을 줄이는데 도움이 될 것으로 사려된다.

  • 본 연구는 충북지역 학교급식의 영양(교)사를 대상으로 영양(교)사의 직무만족도와 직무몰입 조직몰입을 조사함으로써 향후 학교급식의 질적 향상에 기초가 되는 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 조사대상 영양(교)사의 일반사항에 대해 살펴보면 연령은 30대가 경우가 39.7%, 40대 이상 35.0%였고, 대학교 졸업 이상이 86.9%였고, 경력은 1년 미만이 57.5%였고, 1~5년 미만이 24.39%였으며, 고용형태는 정규직이 51.9%로 나타났고, 학교형태는 초등학교가 52.8%로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 고등학교가 24.3%, 중학교가 22.9% 순으로 나타났고 근무지역은 도시가 55.6%로 나타났다. 영양(교)사의 직무만족도를 분석하기 위해 46개의 속성을 직무자체, 임금(보수), 승진, 동료와의 관계, 감독, 근무환경, 업무 관련 정책, 전문성 신장의 8개 영역으로 구분 후 각 직무만족 및 영역의 점수를 조사한 결과 직무만족 영역별 점수는 직무 자체 영역은 평균 3.21점, 동료와의 관계 영역은 3.31점, 감독 영역은 3.21점, 근무환경 영역은 3.08점, 전문성신장 영역은 3.40점으로 8개 영역 중 5개 영역에서 3점대로 보통 수준이었으나, 임금 영역은 2.43점, 승진 영역은 2.00점, 업무 관련 정책 영역은 2.59점으로 나타났다. 영양(교)사의 직무 및 조직 몰입도를 분석하기 위해 17개 속성을 직무몰입, 조직몰입의 2개의 영역으로 구분 후 몰입도 영역별 결과 직무몰입이 3.53점으로 나타났으며, 조직몰입이 3.12점, 전체적인 몰입도가 3.29점으로 나타나 직무 및 조직 몰입도는 보통 수준을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 직무만족도 요인과 직무 및 조직몰입도 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 직무만족도 관련 영역과 직무몰입도 관련 영역 간에는 양(+)의 방향으로 유의한 상관관계가 있었으며 각 변인들의 상관관계는 0.128~0.957로 나타났다. 8개의 영역으로 구성된 직무만족도에 관한 설문에서 직무 자체, 동료와의 관계, 감독, 근무환경, 전문성 신장의 5개 영역의 직무만족도는 3점대로 보통 수준이었으나, 임금, 승진, 업무 관련 정책영역은 2점대로 '만족하지 않는다'로 나타나 만족도가 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 고용형태와 학교유형에 따라 영양(교)사의 직무만족도는 유의한 차이를 나타냈으며(P<0.001) 비정규직보다 정규직이, 중학교와 고등학교보다 초등학교 집단의 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 직무몰입의 평균값은 3.53점, 조직몰입의 평균값은 3.12점, 전체적인 몰입도는 3.29점으로 나타나 직무 및 조직 몰입도는 보통 수준인 것으로 나타났다. 직무만족도 관련 영역과 직무몰입도 관련 영역간에는 양(+)의 방향으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 학교급식에서 동일한 업무를 하고 있는 영양(교)사들에게 있어 정규직과 비정규직의 임금이 3.20점과 1.60점으로 임금에 대한 직무만족의 격차가 매우 크고 영역별 직무만족에서도 임금에 대한 만족도가 낮았다. 임금과 몰입도의 상관관계에서는 유의적인 양적 상관관계로 나타나 임금에 대한 만족여부가 직무, 조직몰입에도 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이에 임금에 대한 비정규직 영양사들의 바람직한 급식의 실시와 효율적인 인력관리를 위하여 임금체제의 개선이 이루어져야 한다. 또한 영양교사는 초등학교에 많이 배치되어 있고 비정규직 영양사들은 중학교와 고등학교에 집중적으로 배치되어 있는 것이 1일 1배식과 2, 3배식의 차이로 나타나 동일한 업무를 더 많이 수행해야 하는 2, 3식에 대한 임금 개선 역시 필요하다. 영양교사는 부장교사, 장학사, 교감의 승진으로의 기본 자격 조건인 1급 정교사가 아니며 비정규직인 계약직 영양사 역시 승진에 대한 현재 마련된 기준이 없다. 정규직 영양교사와 비정규직 영양교사의 승진에 대한 직무만족도는 영역별 평가 중 가장 낮은 만족도를 나타내었고, 몰입도와의 상관관계에서 정적인 상관관계를 보여주어 승진에 대한 만족도가 몰입에 대한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으므로 이에 대한 개선을 위해 승진할 수 있는 체계적인 평정기준이 마련되어야 한다고 사료된다.
