This study was designed to analysis a causal modeling between peer acceptance of children and the related variables. The subjects were 430 5th and 6th elemantary school children. Using questionnares data on peer acceptance aggression & withdrawal behavior rated by same-sex peers and mother-child attachment were gathered,. For the statiscal analyses multiple regression and path-analysis were used. The results show social behavior that effects peer acceptance is influenced by not only aggresive behavior but also withdrawal behavior, Peer acceptance was not affected directly by mother-child attachment and paternal education while academic achievement affected peer acceptance indirectly. Therefore children's peer acceptance is mainly determined by social behavior as well as academic achievement.
This Study was carried out to investigate dietary life and recognition of diet related factors in elemantary, middle and high school students. This study was
surveyed by questionnaires and data were analyzed by SPSS program. Comparative analysis was conducted according to three school student groups(elementary childrens, middle school students, high school students). The subjects were 1,886 school students(female 893, male 959) of 51 schools in nationalwide region. The Distribution of subjects was elementary school childrens 544, middle school students 661 and high school students 681. The results are summarized as follows.
Only Sixty percent of the subjects had breakfast regularly. About one forth of the subjects had the habit of skipping breakfast or eating 2-3 times per week. Pricipal reasons of skipping breakfast were 'busy'(50.7%) and 'not delicious or poor appetite'(31.0%). Regularity of having breakfast and reasions of skipping breakfast were significant differences according to school student groups(p<0.001 respectively). About half of the subjects didn't have sufficient amounts in breakfast. Most subjects(92.1%) had lunch regularly by virtue of school lunch service. One forth of the subjects had dinner irregularly. Pricipal reasons of skipping dinner were 'not delicious'(41.7%), 'busy'(15.1%) and 'weight loss'(14.3%). Regularity of having dinner and reasons of skipping dinner were significant differences according to school student groups(p<0.01, p<0.001 respectively). The most delicious meal was dinner in 56.7% of the subjects and lunch in 37.1% of the subjects. There was significant difference in recognition of most delicious meal according to school student groups(p<0.001). Only ten percent of the subjects thought that nutrition education was not needed. Diettitian was recognized as nutrition educator in sixty percent of the subjects. Only 5 percent of the subject recognized teacher as nutrition educator. There were not significant differences in most delicious meal and nutrition educator according to operation type of school lunch service. The findings suggested continuous attention and guidance for healthy dietary life and necessity of nutrition education for both school students and their parents.

This study verified the effectiveness of machine learning education programs focused on data labeling as an educational method for improving computational thinking of elementary school students. The education program was designed and developed based on the results of a preliminary demand analysis conducted on 100 elementary school teachers. In order to verify the effectiveness of the developed education program, 17 sixth-grade students attending K Elementary School were given 2 classes per day for a total of 6 weeks. In order to measure the effect of the training on improving computational thinking, the educational effects were analyzed by conducting pre-post-inspection using the "Beaver Challenge". According to the analysis, machine learning education focused on data labeling contributed to improving computational thinking of elementary school students.

This study developed and applied an artificial intelligence education program as an educational method for increasing computational thinking of elementary school students and verified its effectiveness. The educational program was designed based on the results of a demand analysis conducted using Google survey of 100 elementary school teachers in advance according to the ADDIE(Analysis-Design-Development-Implementation-Evaluation) model. Among Machine Learning for Kids, we use scratch for block-based programming and develop and apply textbooks to improve computational thinking in the programming process of learning the principles of artificial intelligence and solving problems directly by utilizing numerical data. The degree of change in computational thinking was analyzed through pre- and post-test results using beaver challenge, and the analysis showed that this study had a positive impact on improving computational thinking of elementary school students.
The purposes of this study are to serve s$ the bsaic data for the guidance and the dffective preparation of children's room and the children's residing environment in addition, by grasping generally the residential consciousness of children and the consciousness of children's room. For these purposes, the data were collected by using questionnare distributed to 214 5th grade elemantary school children living in Taegu. The data were analyzed using frequency, perecntile, anova, duncan's test, regression analysis. The major findings of this research are as follow: 1. It was found that many children wanted to have their own room because they are quiently able to study without being disturbed in their study. And it is shown that they were generally satisfied with the their own room. 2. There were significant differences in the consciousness of their own room according to the independent variables such as mother's age, father's job, the numbers of room. 3. The residential consciousness of children was variable according to father's age, mother's employment, the order of birth, income, the conditions of housing possession, parent's educational level, housing style, the numbers of room. 4. The mother's employment, father's educational level, the conditions of housing possession, the numbers of room, family numbers were significantly related to the evaluation of their own room. 5. Among the domains of the evaluation of their own room. the degree of width and the degree of convenience were variable to have influence on the satisfaction of their own room

With the cultural and educational functions of public libraries becoming revitalized according to social changes, there has been a development of reading cultural programs. This study researched the operating conditions of reading culture programs for elementary school students in public libraries in Suwon City for the past 5 years and presented the programs' drawbacks and improvement plans drawn from surveys on user satisfaction. An analysis of the survey results yielded the following suggestions for improvement: forming a consultative group with other managers of reading culture programs in Suwon's public libraries, promoting using various media, forming a human resource pool to hire professional instructors, operating of the educational programs for potential volunteers, expanding of the facilities for reading culture programs, and linking with the other folk culture and art organizations in order to develop classes folk culture and art organizations. The results of this paper will be used as a reference when operating conditions of reading culture programs for elementary school students in public libraries in Suwon City, and they will offer the opportunity to implement problems according to needs of participants.

Despite the increasing rate of use of data science in various fields of society, research on data science education programs is relatively inadequate. In this study, a data science education program for elementary school students was developed and its effectiveness was verified. We created a program that collects data using microbit, one of the physical computing tools, and developed an education program that performs the data science stage of analyzing the collected data to derive results. A study was conducted on 10 students enrolled in the Information Gifted Program at 00 University, and pre- and post-tests of computing thinking skills were conducted to verify the effectiveness. As a result, it was found that the data science education program developed through this study has a significant effect on improving the computational thinking of elementary school students.

This study developed an artificial intelligence education program using localized public data as an educational method for improving computing thinking skills of elementary school students. According to the ADDIE model, the program design was carried out based on the results of pre-requisite analysis for elementary school students, and textbooks and education programs were developed. Based on localized public data, the training program was constructed to learn the principles of artificial intelligence using machine learning for kids and scratches and to solve problems and improve computational thinking through abstracting public data for purpose. It is necessary to put this training program into the field through further research and verify the change in students' computational thinking as a result.
In this study, we analyzed teachers' recognitions of the necessity of mathematical descriptive tests and their practices in the elementary schools. We then suggested several examples of improved formats of the mathematical descriptive evaluation. For analyzing teachers' recognitions and practices of mathematical descriptive assessment, we surveyed 104 elementary school teachers in Seoul. We collected the test items from the schools and analyzed them to find how they are practiced in the schools. The results were as follows. First, most elementary school teachers are basically recognizing the direction and the purpose of mathematical descriptive assessment. Second, the ratio of the descriptive test items was very low compared with the teachers' recognition of necessity of including descriptive items in the tests. Third, the teachers usually made the descriptive items with their colleagues using textbooks, test manuals for teachers, and the references that the office of education provided. Fourth, to enhance teachers' understanding of descriptive assessment, systematic training programs for teachers about the descriptive assessment should be continued. Finally, the office of education and research institutes should provide various types of test items and more teacher training programs on descriptive assessments.

Purpose We performed urinary mass screening(UMS) program for 2,804 children of second grade elemantary school 8 years of age in Paju city with cooperation of Paju City Health Center to determine the prevalence of asymptomatic proteinuria and hematuria, and to estimate the risk of incipient renal diseases. Also we attempted to evaluate the significance of hematuria in UMS in addidtion to proteinuria. Methods : 2,804 children of the 2nd grade of elementary school who lived in Paju city were included to our UMS program in 2000. They were constituted with 1,428 boys and 1,376 girls. The screening program was carried out in 3 steps The 1st screenig test was performed at schools and then students with abnormal results were examined repeatedly at Paju City Health Center and our hospital. Those students who showed proteinuria and/or hematuria in the 1st and 2nd test were referred to our hospital to undertake the 3rd close examination including physical examination, laboratory tests and radiologic tests. Results : (I) The prevalence of urinary abnormality in the 1st screening test was $8.3\%$(233 students), comprised of $5.9\%$ of boys, $10.8\%$ of girls. (2) Among 2,804 children tested in the first screening, prevalences of asymptomatic proteinuria and isolated hematuria were 64($2.3\%$), 163($5.8\%$) respectively, and the prevalence of proteinuria with hematuria was 6($0.2\%$). (3) Among 233 students with urinary abnormalities at the 1st screening test, 102 students applied to the 2nd test. 32 children, about one third of them, were also found to have abnormal urinary findings ; isolated hematuria 30, proteinuria with hematuria 2. (4) Those findings of clinical evaluation for children with isolated hematuria at the hospital showed as follows: idiopathic isolated microscopic hematuria 21, normal 6, urinary tract infection 1, idiopathic hypercalciuria 1 and simple renal cyst 1. Those 2 students with proteinuria and hematuria seemed to have chronic glomerulonephritis. Conclusion : (1) The clinical evaluation for children who showed positive results at the 1st screening test should be done judiciously. Because of high false positive rate, almost who showed positive results was normal, only a few of them had pathologic conditions. In this study, actual incidence of incipient renal diseases in children of 8 year old was calculated to be $0.4\%$. (2) The definite conclusion whether a urinary mass screening test can alter the prognosis of incipient renal diseases could not be drawn with this study. Further study must be necessary (3) We could acknowledge the significance of hematuria in UMS, but it is necessary that one should be judicious in managing and follow-up those that show abnormal results.
