  • Most of the topic in PCB industry was about increasing the volume of product for the development of electronics in numerous industrial application area. However, it has been emerged that yield improvement quality manufacturing via detecting any suspicious process in order to minimize the scrapped product and material waste. In addition, recently, restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) claims that electronic manufacturing environment should reduce the harmful chemicals usage, thus the importance of monitoring copper etchant and detecting any mis-processing is crucial for electronics manufacturing. In this paper, we have developed real-time chemical monitoring system using RGB sensor, which is simpler but more accurate method than commercially utilized oxidation reduction potential (ORP) technique. The developed Cu etchant monitoring system can further be utilized for copper interconnect process in future nano-semiconductor process.

  • Die Factory follows typical order adaptive manufacturing, and delaying delivery affects directly product development of customer, Manufacturing Management System is tried to comply with the appointed date of delivery. It acquires running signal from NC milling, calculates manufacturing results, and offers the basic data to manage the operation ratio. Thus it offers Production data necessary to accomplish the objective of progress improvement for Unmanned Manufacturing. Manufacturing Management System runs on Web Environment, and is composed of electronic work order, operation ratio data acquisition and totaling module.

  • This study is to search for the core factors of improving competitiveness of small and medium venture manufacturing company in electric and electronic industry and to do an in-depth analysis of the relations with management performance through systematic approach and to provide implications of importance of the management for the improvement factors for the domestic small and medium venture manufacturing company in electric and electronic industry. The report is analyzed how the relationship between the quality management system that was discussed in existing literature and the core factors of absorbing capability impact to the enterprise management performance.

  • Small-scale production control systems for smart manufacturing are becoming increasingly necessary as the manufacturing industry seeks to maximize manufacturing efficiency as the demand for customized product production increases. Correspondingly, the development of an embedded system to realize this capability is becoming important. In this study, we developed an embedded system based on an open source system that is cheaper than a widely applied programmable logic controller (PLC)-based production control system that is easier to install, configure, and process than a conventional relay control panel. This embedded system is system is based on a low-power, high-performance Cortex M4 processor and can be applied to smart manufacturing. It is designed to improve the development environment and compatibility of existing PLCs, control small-scale production systems, and enable data collection through heterogeneous communication. The real-time response characteristics were confirmed through an operation test for input/output control and data collection, and it was confirmed that they can be used in industrial sites.

  • Various defects are found in FPD (Flat Panel Display) manufacturing process. So detecting these defects early and reprocessing them is an important factor that reduces the cost of production. In this paper, the bare glass inspection system for the FPD which is the early process inspection system in the FPD manufacturing process is designed and implemented using the high performance and accuracy CCD line scan camera. For the preprocessing of the high speed line image data, the Image Processing Part (IPP) is designed and implemented using high performance DSP (Digital signal Processor), FIFO (First in First out), FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) and the Data Management and System Control part are implemented using ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) processor to control many IPP and cameras and to provide remote users with processed data. For evaluating implemented system, experiment environment which has an area camera for reviewing and moving shelf is made.

  • The purposes of this paper are the review and derivation of design characteristics for the new construction of the practical flexible manufacturing system. The basic ideas to analyze the manufacturing system which is the automatically operated are dependant on the various manufacturing procedures in factory. The practical flexible manufacturing systems have various mechanical subsystems appropriated fur the final manufacturing products. Therefore the systems have the various kinds of hardwares as well as softwares. We study the software for the practical flexible manufacturing system designed and developed in the Halla University with the related company. Specially the design concepts and using specifications of all subsystems which are composed of mechanical and electronic movements of the product are analyzed and introduced in this dissertation.

  • Smart manufacturing is defined as the fully ICT-based manufacturing process which digitized, optimized, and automized the of manufacturing system in smart factory which includes product planning, design, production, quality, stock, procure. In this paper, we introduce the development of domestic standardization of smart factory and manufacturing data which are generated in operation of smart factory. We focus on general standardization of smart factory/ICT-based manufacturing system and data transactions related issues since the range of standardization is too wide. Based on these standardization review, we discuss the several concerns for utilization of manufacturing data.

  • The antenna transmits and receives signals has a number of electronics that generate heat. For cooling, four fans and airways circulate air inside the antenna-equipped housing to exchange heat from the cooling plate assembly. In this study, fluid analysis was conducted to assess the suitability of the cooling system. The electronic components of the antenna exhibited temperature values lower than the maximum operating temperature of the components, which showed that the cooling system for the antenna had sufficient performance.

  • This paper presents an automated visual inspection system for the electronic parts manufacturing process. In this system, a statistical process control (SPC) method is integrated into the automated inspection method on a real time base. It shows how the collected data can be analyzed with the SPC to provide process information. Also presented are studies of subpixel image processing technology to improve the accuracy of parts measurements, and the cumulative-sum (CUSUM) control chart for fraction defectives. An application of the developed system to connector manufacturing process as a part of computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) is presented.

  • In this paper, we suggest the system analysis method that integrate IDEFO and IDEFIX. Based on the method, we propose the procedure which can be used to build CALS/EC system in manufacturing industry. Also, applying the procedure and method to electronic company, we construct the CALSEC prototype system. With the three types of view-point, process, information technology and standard, we proceed the implementation of CALS/EC in manufacturing industry. We divide the electronic company's process into five core process, 1)processes-product concept planning process. 2)product development process, 3)procurement process, 4)delivery/distribution process and 5)customer service process.
