Using two or more coaxial lines, if one port is connected in series and the other port is connected in parallel, it can be implemented the wideband transmission line transformer(TLT). Because the wideband TLT utilizes the outer conductor of the coaxial line, it is difficult to predict the characteristics. In this paper, based on the analysis for the transfer characteristic(S21) according to the loss of the each line in ${\lambda}/4$-microstrip line TLT, the operating characteristic of the fabricated wideband 4:1 TLT using two $25{\Omega}$-coaxial lines is investigated. The fabricated wideband TLT shows the notch characteristic in which the transfer signal sharply decreases at ${\lambda}/4$ frequency of the coaxial line and has a value within -0.2dB of the transfer characteristic(S21) in $0.06{\sim}0.2{\lambda}$ frequency range of the coaxial line. This transfer characteristics(S21) can change the operating frequency range slightly and set the optimum transfer characteristic(S21) at the desired frequency by changing the length of the microstrip line.

The 6-port phase correlator consists of one in-phase power divider and three 3-dB 90-degree phase difference power dividers, and is mainly used in a demodulation circuit that determines the phase of an input signal. This paper proposes the wideband 6-port phase correlator that consists of an in-phase power divider using a wideband 2:1 impedance transformer with three 37.5-Ω coaxial cables, and a 3-dB 90-degree phase difference power divide using Wireline. The proposed wideband phase correlator fabricated at a center frequency of 1000MHz has the value of the input reflection coefficient(S11 and S22) -14dB or less in the frequency range of 640~1270MHz. Also, the signal transmission characteristic(Si1), from the in-phase power divider input port to four output ports, has the amplitude of -6.5±0.6dB and the phase error of within ±3.4°, and the signal transmission characteristic(Si2), from the 90 degree phase difference power divider input port to four output ports, has the amplitude of -6.1±0.6dB and the phase error of within ±6.2°.

In this paper, we studied the effect of noise caused by ambient light on a reflective PPG measurement device using infrared light. Noise caused by ambient light was examined by dividing it into general situations and special situations. In the general situation, noise due to changes in time and ambient light sources was randomly observed, and in the special situation, a halogen lamp was used to observe the effect of noise variations. In the experiment, PPG signals were measured and data acquired in real-time depending on each situation, and the measured data was analyzed in the time domain and frequency domain. First, through a general situation experiments, it was visually observed that noise increases with the brightness of ambient light, and through frequency analysis, it was observed that the noise sources were white noise, power line noise, and internal noise of the circuit. Futhermore, using a halogen lamp, we experimented with the change in noise depending on the change in distance from the ambient light and calculated the SNR. As a result of the experiment, an SNR of 3.2 dB was shown at a distance of 50 cm with an irradiance of 278.3 W/m2. It was observed that normal measurement was difficult at SNRs below that, and an irradiance of 27.7 W/m2 was obtained. It showed a value of 18.2 dB at a distance of 2 m, and it was observed that normal PPG measurement was possible through a filter at values above that.

In this paper, we analyzed and measured implant isolation characteristics for a 1.25 Gbps monolithic integrated hi-directional (M-BiDi) optoelectronic system-on-a-chip, which is a key component to constitute gigabit passive optical networks (PONs) for a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH). Also, we derived an equivalent circuit of the implant structure under various DC bias conditions. The 1.25 Gbps M-BiDi transmit-receive SoC consists of a laser diode with a monitor photodiode as a transmitter and a digital photodiode as a digital data receiver on the same InP wafer According to IEEE 802.3ah and ITU-T G.983.3 standards, a receiver sensitivity of the digital receiver has to satisfy under -24 dBm @ BER=10-12. Therefore, the electrical crosstalk levels have to maintain less than -86 dB from DC to 3 GHz. From analysed and measured results of the implant structure, the M-BiDi SoC with the implant area of 20 mm width and more than 200 mm distance between the laser diode and monitor photodiode, and between the monitor photodiode and digital photodiode, satisfies the electrical crosstalk level. These implant characteristics can be used for the design and fabrication of an optoelectronic SoC design, and expended to a mixed-mode SoC field.

Flux or solder is used in soldering process for manufacturing electronic parts such as printed circuit boards (PCB). After soldering process, residual flux and solder paste on the parts should be removed since their residuals could cause performance degradation or failure of parts due to their corrosion and electric leakage. Ozone depletion substances such as 1,1,1- trichloroethane (TCE) and HCFC-141b have widely been using for removal of residual flux and solder paste after soldering process In manufacturing of electronic parts until now. In this study, non-aqueous cleaning agents without flash point were developed and applied to industrial field for replacement of cleaning agents with ozone depletion. In order to develop non-aqueous cleaning agents without ethers, esters, fluoride- type solvents. And their physical properties and cleaning abilities were evaluated, and they were applied to industrial fields for cleaning of flux and solder on the PCB. And vacuum distillation apparatus were operated to determine their operating conditions and recycling yields for recycling of used cleaning agents formulated in this study. As a result of physical properties measurement of our formulated cleaning agents, they were expected to have good wetting and penetrating power since their surface tensions were relatively low as 18.0~20.4 dyne/$cm^2$ and their wetting indices are relatively large. And some cleaning agents holding fluoride-type solvents as their components did not have any flash point and they seemed to be safe in their handling and storage. The cleaning experimental results showed that some cleaning agents were better in their cleaning of flux and solder paste than 1,1,1-TCE and HCFC-141b. And industrial application results of the formulated cleaning agents for cleaning PCB indicated that they can be applicable to industry due to their good cleaning capability in comparison with HCFC-141b. The recycling experiments of the used formulated cleaning agents through a vacuum distillation apparatus also showed that their 91.9~97.5% could be recycled with its proper operating conditions.

The quality of school education is a key element for national education development. An important factor that determines the quality of school education is qualities of teachers who are in responsible for school education in the field. Therefore, it is necessary to hire competent teachers in the teacher appointment exam for the secondary school. This necessity is evident especially for vocational high schools and Meister high schools with the introduction of 2015-revised curriculum based on NCS that separates each three subjects, "Electrical, Electronics Communication" resulting in the change of question mechanism, which requires new designing of assessment and content area. Environment-friendly and surfactant-free aqueous cleaning agents have been developed in order to solve various problems generated by surfactants in the aqueous cleaning agents. Aqueous surfactant-free cleaning agents, S-1 and S-2 have been formulated with water-soluble solvents such as propylene glycol and propylene glycol ether on their main components and with some additives. These solvents were chosen because of their good solubility in water and excellent solubility of fluxes which are major contaminants of printed circuit board in the electronic industry. Physical properties of the formulated and the imported cleaning agents were measured to predict their cleaning performance, and their cleaning abilities of flux and solder contaminants were evaluated under the various ultrasonic frequencies by a gravimetric method. The measurement results show that the physical properties of cleaning agent V are generally similar with those of formulated cleaning agents S-1 and S-2. Both the cleaning agent V and the formulated cleaning agents S-1 and S-2 showed similar trends that their pH decrease in the beginning and then increases later on with the increase of their dilution in water. It is considered that the wetting indices of the cleaning agents calculated with experimental values do not not have any influence on their cleaning ability. In ultrasonic cleaning tests under three ultrasonic frequencies of 28, 45, and 100 kHz, their best performances of cleaning solder and flux were obtained at 45 kHz and 28 kHz, respectively, and the cleaning performance of the formulated cleaning agents S-1 and S-2 was better than that of the cleaning agent V. However, in the case of the recommended diluted concentration of 25 wt% cleaning solution, the cleaning performance of the cleaner V for solder and flux was better in the initial stage of cleaning compared to the formulated cleaners. And it may be concluded that the formulated cleaning agents S-1 and S-2 can be applied to cleaning of solder and flux in the industry, based on the experimental results in this study.
