In this paper, we propose a novel on-glass antenna for FM radio reception in a recreation vehicle(RV). We use a multi-loop structure that takes advantage of a broad matching bandwidth and a high vertical radiation gain by efficiently utilizing a given space of a quarter glass in spite of the simple planar structure. Transparency of the antenna is also improved by adjusting the stripline widths based on the induced current distributions. The proposed antenna is printed on a quarter glass of a commercial vehicle and antenna performances such as the return loss and the gain are measured in a semi-anechoic chamber. The result shows the average gain of -9.67 dBi along the bore-sight direction($\theta=90^{\circ}$, $\phi=270^{\circ}$) in the FM radio band(80$\sim$l10 MHz), which is higher than a commercial monopole typed on-glass antenna($G_{ave}$=-12.49 dBi) and micro-antenna($G_{ave}$=-19.24 dBi) mounted on the roof of the RV.

The folded monopole antenna for applying mobile communications equipment and wireless devices is presented in this paper. By using the coplanar waveguide feed the operating bandwidth has improved. In addition, each individual resonant elements has occurred different capacitance through asymmetrical left and right ground planes; therefore, the bandwidth has kept and the impedance matching has stabilized. By measurement results, the impedance bandwidth under VSWR< 2.5:1 are $824{\sim}890$ MHz and the $1,500{\sim}2,170$ MHz, also radiation patterns has omni-directional characteristics. The maximum gains of the proposed antenna are 5.52, 0.64, 3.00, 0.94 and 1.85 dBi at 850, 1,575, 1,790, 1,930 and 2,050 MHz respectively. The proposed antenna will be adapted to the internal antenna of the mobile communication devices.

In this paper, compact linear dual polarized series-fed $1{\times}2$ linear and $2{\times}2$ planar arrays antennas for airborne SAR applications are proposed. The proposed antenna design consists of a square radiating patch that is placed on top of the substrate, a quarter wave transformer and $50-{\Omega}$ matched transformer. Matching between a radiating patch and the $50-{\Omega}$ microstrip line is accomplished through a direct coupled-feed technique with the help of an impedance inverter (${\lambda}/4$ impedance transformer) placed at both horizontal and vertical planes, in the case of the $2{\times}2$ planar array. The overall size for the prototype-1 and prototype-2 fabricated antennas are $1.9305{\times}0.9652{\times}0.05106{{\lambda}_0}^3$ and $1.9305{\times}1.9305{\times}0.05106{{\lambda}_0}^3$, respectively. The fabricated structure has been tested, and the experimental results are similar to the simulated ones. The CST MWS simulated and vector network analyzer measured reflection coefficient ($S_{11}$) results were compared, and they indicate that the proposed antenna prototype-1 yields the impedance bandwidth >140 MHz (9.56-9.72 GHz) defined by $S_{11}$<-10 dB with 1.43%, and $S_{21}$<-25 dB in the case of prototype-2 (9.58-9.74 GHz, $S_{11}$< -10 dB) >140 MHz for all the individual ports. The surface currents and the E- and H-field distributions were studied for a better understanding of the polarization mechanism. The measured results of the proposed dual polarized antenna were in accordance with the simulated analysis and showed good performance of the S-parameters and radiation patterns (co-pol and cross-pol), gain, efficiency, front-to-back ratio, half-power beam width) at the resonant frequency. With these features and its compact size, the proposed antenna will be suitable for X-band airborne synthetic aperture radar applications.

In the state of Positronium (Ps), which is an unstable material created by the temporary combination of electrons and positrons, the imaging technology through photo-conversion methodology is emerging as a new research theme under resonance conditions through terahertz electromagnetic waves. Normally, Positronium can be observed in the positron emission computed tomography (PET) process when an unstable, separate state that remains after the pair annihilation of an electron and a positron remains. In this study, terahertz (THz) waves and Cherenkov radiation (CR) are generated using the principle of ponderomotive force in the plasma wake-field acceleration, and electrons and positrons are simultaneously generated by using a relativistic electron beam without using a PET device. We confirm the possibility of Positronium photoconversion technology in terahertz electromagnetic resonance conditions through experimental studies that generate an unstable state. Here, a relativistic electron beam (REB) energy of 0.5 MeV (γ=2) was used, and the terahertz wave frequencies is G-band. Meanwhile, a THz wave mode converting three-stepped axicon lens was used to apply the photoconversion technology. Through this, light emission in the form of a luminescence-converted Bessel beam can be verified. In the future, it can be used complementarily with PET in nuclear medicine in the field of medical imaging.
The gamma-gamma coincidence measurements and angular correlation measurement associated with the electron capture of $^{75}Se$ have been carried to understand the structure for the odd nuclei $^{75}As$ with two HPGe detectors. As a result, we could determined the band structure of 5/2 state to be of 1/2 [310] band which is based on $f_{5/2}$ proton state. Also we obtained the multipole admixture in the state of 279.5keV by using the mixing ratios of $121.1{\sim}279.5keV$ cascade. Subsequently, it is determined that 25.56% electric quadrupole transition is involved in the state of 279.5keV.

We investigated the protective effects of chlorogenic acid (CGA), a polyphenol compound, on oxidative damage induced by UVB exposure on human HaCaT cells. In a cell-free system, CGA scavenged 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radicals, superoxide anions, hydroxyl radicals, and intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated by hydrogen peroxide and ultraviolet B (UVB). Furthermore, CGA absorbed electromagnetic radiation in the UVB range (280-320 nm). UVB exposure resulted in damage to cellular DNA, as demonstrated in a comet assay; pre-treatment of cells with CGA prior to UVB irradiation prevented DNA damage and increased cell viability. Furthermore, CGA pre-treatment prevented or ameliorated apoptosis-related changes in UVB-exposed cells, including the formation of apoptotic bodies, disruption of mitochondrial membrane potential, and alterations in the levels of the apoptosis-related proteins Bcl-2, Bax, and caspase-3. Our findings suggest that CGA protects cells from oxidative stress induced by UVB radiation.

A reverberation chamber is widely used in mobile handset measurements due to its faster and simpler measurement process compared to traditional anechoic chambers. We propose an ultra-wideband inverse conical antenna design suitable as a reference antenna in a reverberation chamber. Traditionally, multiple discone antennas are needed to cover more than 10:1 operation bandwidth of a reverberation chamber. The proposed inverse conical antenna offers wideband impedance matching bandwidth by virtue of the linear impedance transition along its oblique side. The antenna is feasible to mount on the conductive walls which can be utilized as a ground to improve the matching bandwidth, antenna gain and radiation patterns. The antenna geometry is optimized using a 3D electromagnetic simulation tool and fabricated using a 3D printer. The measured results show that the antenna reflection coefficient lower than -10dB and radiation efficiency more than 70% at the frequency range of 0.65~7 GHz.

This paper proposes an acceleration of the multi-level fast multipole algorithm(MLFMA) by using a double interpolation method. The MLFMA has been primarily used to conduct scattering analysis of electrically large targets, e.g. stealth aircraft. In the MLFMA, radiation functions of each basis functions are first precomputed, and then aggregated. After transfer calculations for the aggregations, each interaction is disaggregated, and then received in the testing function. The key idea of the proposed method is to decrease the sampling rates of the radiation and receiving functions. The computational complexity of the unit sphere integration in terms of the testing functions is thus highly alleviated. The remaining insufficient sampling rate is then complemented by using additional interpolation. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed method through radar cross-section(RCS) calculations for realistic aircraft.
Infrared radiation (IR) refers to the region of the electromagnetic radiation spectrum where wavelengths range from about 700 nm to 1 mm. Any object with a temperature above absolute zero (0 K) radiates in the infrared region, and a material that transmits radiant energy in the range of 0.74 to 1.4 um is referred to as a near-infrared optical material. Germanate-based glass is attracting attention as a glass material for infrared optical lenses because of its simple manufacturing process. With the recent development of the glass molding press (GMP) process, thermal imaging cameras using oxide-based infrared lenses can be easily mass-produced, expanding their uses. To improve the mechanical and optical properties of commercial materials consisting of ternary systems, germanate-based heavy metal oxide glasses were prepared using a melt-cooling method. The fabricated samples were evaluated for thermal, structural, and optical properties using DSC, XRD, and XRF, respectively. To derive a composition with high glass stability for lens applications, ZnO and Sb2O3 were substituted at 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 mol%. The glass with 1 mol% added Sb2O3 was confirmed to have the optimal conditions, with an optical transmittance of 80 % or more, a glass transition temperature of 660 ℃, a refractive index of 1.810, and a Vickers hardness of 558. The possibility of its application as an alternative infrared lens material to existing commercial materials capable of GMP processing was confirmed.
The advantages and disadvantages of the various models of crushed ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) and their various side effects due to pre-treatment have been reported. We look for the appropriate intensity of the shock wave in the electromagnetic ESWL treatment of patients with lower Inferior Ureter Stones and measure the total running time of C-arm saw. This study is based on the January-June 2014 launch of 65 patients of C university hospital located in Gyeongbuk, who conducted ESWL without pre-treatment. Patients are composed of 48 male and 17 female which were more common in men, while the most common age is 50s. The occurrence of lower urinary tract stones were left and they were more absent than 5mm in size in 39 of the most common. Optimal intensity is one of the suitable intensity of pain, and it is possible to switch the strength of impact to C if one appeals pain. In addition, the C-arm of the total operating time showed $241.73{\pm}30.37$ seconds, which is the size of the lower urinary tract that showed a significant difference (p <0.05). Therefore, ESWL treatment without pre-enforce treatment, the standard for the impact frequency and impact strength depending on the site of ureteral stones is required. The standard for total operating time of C-arm generated for ureteral stones is needed in order to reduce radiation exposure, and the standard for the total operating time for the criteria is needed depending on the site in order to minimize the exposure.
