This paper presents the experiment and the characteristics analysis of an electromagnetic pump using linear induction motor(LIM). The characteristics of LIM pump are analyzed solving the hydrodynamic equation at constant magnetic flux. The molten zinc is used in the experiment and the experimental results are compared with the analysis.

This paper presents a novel microwave oscillator incorporating a simple microstrip ring type resonant cell as its terminating resonance component. Reduced chip size, higher dc-ac power efficiency, superior harmonic characteristics can be achieved from the introduction of a compact microstrip ring resonator cell. The oscillator provides a second harmonic suppression of 26.51 dB and the output power of 2.046 dBm at 2.11 GHz.

In this thesis, We researched on the characteristics of optical tunable filter that selects the channel by the wavelength changes of transmission spectrum when we apply outer physical quantities on a fiber bragg grating by using Fabry-Perot Interformer's operational principle.

This paper presents the characteristics of antenna factors for sleeve dipole antennas with a broad bandwidth. The coupled integral equations for the unknown current distributions on each elements are derived and solved by applying Galerkin's method of moments. The flatness of antenna factor is considered. with variation of the length and number of sleeve elements.

The most of faults in gas insulation of power facilities are caused by partial discharge. Therefore we simulated partial discharge and measured the radiated electromagnetic wave emitted from partial discharge in SF$_{6}$ gas by biconical antenna. This paper describes time delay and electric fields pulse characteristics of radiated electromagnetic waves with distance(1[m], 3[m], 5[m]) between antenna and discharge source.e.

The numerical dispersive characteristics and the numerical stability confition of the Multi-Resolution Time-Domain(MRTD) method are calculated. A dispersion analysis of the MRTD schemes including a comparison to Yee's Finite-Difference Time-Domain(FDTD) method is given. The superiority of the MRTD method to the spatial discretization is shown. The required computational memory can be reduced by using the MRTD method. We expect that the MRTD method will be very useful method for numerical modelling of electromagnetics.

Nowadays, the inverter for CCFL(Cold-Cathode Fluorescent Lamp) driver is needed as form of compact size, low loss and high efficiency. This paper deals with comparison of characteristics of the electromagnetic push-pull type inverter and the piezoelectric half-bridge inverter for a CCFL driver. From the experimental results, the piezoelectric inverter is proven as more efficient than conventional electromagnetic inverter.

A method for miniaturization of microstrip patch antenna without degrading its radiation characteristics is investigated. The ring geometry introduces additional parameters to the antenna that can be used to control its resonance frequency and bandwidth. For a single square ring increasing the size of patch decreases the resonance frequency and bandwidth. To match the antenna to a transmission line and also enhance its bandwidth. the square ring patch is stacked by a square ring patch. The computed results are compared with experiment and good agreement is obtained.

In this paper, a new compact PIFA, applicable to PCS system, is described. The central aim in design is to broaden the bandwidth within limited height of mobile phones. To overcome the narrow bandwidth characteristics, which is typical of a patch antenna, tapered type radiation patch is employed. The antenna is designed using CST microwave studio and its characteristics are compared with a basic PIFA with similar volume.

One of the problems using DCR(Direct Conversion Receiver) type architecture are DC offset, Poor channel selectivity. APDP(Anti Parallel Diode Pair) can be mood candidate for the DCR frequency mixer due to its inherent 2nd harmonic suppression. APDP shows good IP2 and DC suppression. This paper describes single APDP LO power characteristics, IP2, and receiver structure utilizing APDP frequency mixer.
