Cooling equipment is the frequent occurrence of fire despite the absence of the heating element. National fire statistics in 2013 show that a total of 263 fires occurred in the cooling equipment and the number of electric fan has 145 fire cases. This is accounted for 55.1% of the whole. Electric fan is the electrical appliance that the heat is generated on the winding wire and the iron core. If such characteristic is not controled properly, fire would break out at the electric fan. also there is a gap filled with an insulator between connection terminals of the capacitor in the electric fan. But in case that the gap on the capacitor is covered with some conductive material such as dust, there would be a fire as well caused by electrical heating locally. Although many studies related with those have been conducted, electric fan fire is continuously occurred. In this study, thermal characteristics and current signal in various conditions such as the heat generation of windings including iron cores of the motor and the dielectric breakdown of terminals on the capacitor connected to the motor were detected. In order to measure the maximum temperature, "third level" wind velocity button was pushed and the time selection switch to "continuation" was set. Analyzed data would be available for the fire safety of the electric fan.
Although fires caused by heat generation due to Cu2O breeding in wire connections are well-known among fire investigators, there are few papers on the analysis and introduction of fire cases by heat generation due to Cu2O breeding. This study analyzed fire statistics caused by heat generation in electrical connections and the phenomena and features of heat generation due to Cu2O breeding. Then, a fire which occurred in the wire connection in a university lab by heat generation due to Cu2O breeding was analyzed in more detail. This fire case could reach a conclusion that heat generation due to Cu2O breeding caused a fire in the wire connection through the fire pattern investigation of fire origin, the visual investigation of wire connection, 3D CT, power-on-test, and stereoscopic microscopy, SEM and EDS analysis.

In spite of regular electrical safety inspection and improvement management of incongruent facilities, over 80 percent of electrical fires were generated in electrical facilities for general use, and the prevention of electrical safety accidents gets more difficult because of incomprehension on electrical safety inspection system, the increasement of non-inspection electrical facilities user, un-installation of residual current protective devices and leaving unsuitable equipments alone. This paper analyzed electrical safety inspection system of electrical facilities for general use and results of safety inspection and electrical fire statistics, and deducted the related problems. Also, improvement method of safety management of electrical facilities for general use was proposed in view of electrical safety inspection system, inspection implementation method, electrical fire statistics establishment, electrical safety consciousness and remote electrical safety inspection system.

As usage of electric power is increased, the electric fire accident occurrences are growing, too. According to statistics it can be known that electric fire occupies the most weight. However, the method that can detect electric fire accurately is not being developed yet. This paper analyzes the cause of electric fire and the characteristics of Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter(AFCI). First this paper compares AFCI with existing molded-case circuit breaker and finds the hazards caused by arc through power calculation and compares with danger by short circuit. And we suggest the necessity of AFCI through studying relationship of AFCI installation and societal cost.
The actual state of motor vehicle fires was analyzed based on Annual Report on Fire Statistics and National Fire Data System and as a result, the followings were obtained. Motor vehicle fires occur over 16 cases every day with over 0.5 casualties and direct property loss of 50 million won. Most motor vehicle fires are caused by mechanical reasons, followed by electrical factors and arson. Arson accounts for 7.39% of all fires but 13.79% of all motor vehicle fires. Yearly fatalities and casualties per 100 motor vehicle fires were 0.9 and 2.4 on the average, respectively. Although fires which occur in the expressway account for 12.55% of all motor vehicle fires, fatalities, casualties, and property loss caused by motor vehicle fires in the expressway were 16.12%, 21.05%, and 20.65%, respectively.

Electrical safety technique is a disaster prevention technology to protect the life and property of the people and it has high correlation with all electricity industry. According to the latest statistics, loss of human life and property damage due to electrical fire have increased from 2011. Therefore, technological development for guarantee safety of electrical facilities for customer will become more important. In this paper, we drew priority and weigh for the electrical safety technology using analytic hierarchy process and present progress direction of each technology through Risk-Return assessment. We expect development of the research and development policies of government about electrical safety technology in a higher state and think that policymakers and experts will be more interested in these fields based on this paper.
Tourist hotels are equipped with facilities such as accommodation and restaurants, exercise, recreation. Unspecified guests, visitors and management of tourist hotels are very vulnerable on the casualties and property losses due to fire peril exist. In this study, we analysis that the fire statistics status of tourist hotels from 2001 to 2010. And the 15 cases of a large hotel fire are reviewed. The total number of fires on hotel are consist of a hotel rooms fire(33.2%), a restaurant kitchen fire(11.8%). And the major causes of the fire are an electrical fire (40.8%), a cigarette fire (14.5%) and a hot-work fire (9.2%). In case study, the fire wall defect and combustible materials are major fire loss causes for 10year. Each tourist hotels are needed a development of suitable fire risk management and a field operations. A hotel is required an active fire risk management on a preventive inspection, an education and training, and a preventive maintenance. It is necessary that a fire wall maintenance to prevent of the spread of a fire and a sprinkler installation of whole area to protect fire. And it is very important an emergency response for evacuation of guest, and operate emergency procedures on a fire or emergency situation.

The considerations for reminder life of transmission line is gradually higher. It is requisite for investigation of ACSR life to test tensile load of ACSR as a fundamental data. It is vary important to analysis correlations between results of tensile load testing and elapsed years. Estimation of ACSR life can be obtained by statistics processing using mechanical experimental results. It is a general method to use regression analysis as a statistics processing technique. In this paper, we did experiment on tensile strength of ACSR by using a new and due to flame for artificial fire, and gathering due to a flame. The limit of life estimation is decided by basic line using twenty percentage reduction of rate tensile strength. This basic line is like to results of Canada Ontario Hydro-research. There are $480[mm^2]$ ACSR which are experimented on this study.

Although waste oil derived fuel (WDF) production technology was developed under a government initiative ~10 years ago, it became stagnant owing to the small size of participating companies, residents' rejection of foul odor, and the nature of the technology for recycling waste that was avoided. However, this subject is under the spotlight again because of recent developments, such as garbage crisis. In particular, plastic is the most difficult waste to dispose of, with more than 4 million tons of plastic waste produced every year according to statistics from the Ministry of Environment. The most effective method for treating plastic waste is to produce WDF through low temperature thermal decomposition. The WDF includes several volatile ingredients that mostly limit the use of fuel for boilers, owing to safety concerns. In particular, flash point is legally stipulated because of secondary contamination in the distribution process and the risk of fire and explosion. It is required that external shipments (distribution) should be maintained in the range of at least 30~60℃ (excluding explosion prevention facilities) for diesel power generation. Therefore, this study seeks to find the flash point that is best suited to WDFs produced from plastic waste.

In this paper, We implemented vessel USN middleware by server-side method considering characteristics of ocean environment. We designed multiple query process module in order to efficient process multidimensional sensor stream data and proposed optimized query plan using Mjoin query and hash table. This paper proposed method that context aware of vessel and manage considering characteristics of ocean. We decided to risk context using SVM algorithm in context awareness management module. As a result, we obtained about 87.5% average accuracy for fire case and about 85.1% average accuracy for vessel risk case by input 5,000 data sets and implemented vessel USN monitoring system.
