A great level of strength and deformability on compressive zone of RC wall is essentially required when subjected to high axial and in-plane lateral loading due to earthquakes. One of the best ways to handle this situation is to provide the confinement effectiveness to the compressive zone by reinforcing steel. For this a series of design charts were constructed to evaluate the confinement effectiveness for a given steel configuration in accordance with a well-known model and part of them are presented in this paper. Using the chart, designers can choose a desirable steel arrangement in flexural compressive zone of RC walls for a prescribed confinement factor.

The second research of "a study of the evaluation indicators in Korean public libraries’ had as Its major objective the identification of Indicators and broad dimensions of public library effectiveness in Korea. The managers and librarians of the 175 public libraries in the sample were asked to rate the performance of their libraries. Factor analysis was used to derive 11 dimensions of effectiveness. The dimensions fit four different models of organizational effectiveness.

This study was a comparative investigation of the influence of demographic variables and teacher's empowerment on organizational effectiveness in public and private kindergartens. The subjects were 303 teachers at either public or private kindergartens. The measures used for this study were questionnaires, the SPES(School Participant Empowerment Scale) and the Organizational Effectiveness Scale. The survey used in this study and data were analyzed by means of a t-test, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analyses. The results showed that teachers in public kindergartens had higher scores in terms of both empowerment and organizational effectiveness than teachers in private kindergartens. Empowerment was seen to be an influential factor in measuring teacher's organizational effectiveness.

This study deals with a quantitative analysis of the effects of colors on learning effectiveness. First, sensuous or emotional factors that school children feel about colors of teachers' clothes are measured by SD method and analyzed by factor analysis. Second, sensuous or emotional factors to enhance learning effectiveness are measured by SD method from teachers, and principal factors are extracted by factor analysis. Finally, the analysis of interaction between the effects of colors and the learning effectiveness is done using the sensuous or emotional factors found from the previous two analyses. The results are as follows: (1) For in-class concentration, the principal factors are "stable", and "near" feelings. The colors related to these feelings are black, red, and blue. (2) For question inducing, the first principal factors are "soft" and "stable" feelings, and the colors are white and black. The second principal factors are "gentle" and "refined" feelings, and the colors are orange and black. (3) For extra-curricular activity, the principal factors are "artless" and "plain" feelings, and the color is blue.

Kinetic and effectiveness factors for methanol steam reforming using commercial copper-containing catalysts in a plug flow reactor were investigated over the temperature ranges of $180-250^{\circ}C$ at atmospheric pressure. The selectivity of $CO_2$/$H_2$ was almost 100%, and CO products were not observed under reaction conditions employed in this work. It was indicated that $CO_2$ was directly produced and CO was formed via the reverse water gas shift reaction after methanol steam reforming. The intrinsic kinetics for such reactions were well described by the Langmuir-Hinshelwood model based on the dual-site mechanism. The six parameters in this model, including the activation energy of 103kJ/mol, were estimated from diffusion-free data. The significant effect of internal diffusion was observed for temperature higher than $230^{\circ}C$ or particle sizes larger than 0.36mm. In the diflusion-limited case, this model combined with internal effectiveness factors was also found to be good agreement with experimental data.

In this paper, we propose a fuzzy control method for improving the control performance by automatically tuning the scaling factor. The proposed method is that automatically tune the input scaling factor and the output scaling factor of fuzzy logic system through neural network. Used neural network is ADALINE (ADAptive Linear NEron) neural network with delayed input. ADALINE neural network has simple construct, superior learning capacity and small computation time. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method, we performed simulation. The results showed that the proposed control method improves considerably on the environment of the disturbance.

A new low-cost high power factor correction circuit for electronic ballasts is proposed. The proposed circuit provides good power factor correction, low current harmonic distortion and cost-effectiveness. The prototype meets the IEC555-2 requirements satisfactorily with nearly unity power factor.

이 연구는 청소년의 독서유효성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고, 독서유효성에 영향을 미치는 요인들 사이의 영향관계를 검증하였다. 연구결과, 독서유효성에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 독서태도가 가장 많은 영향을 미치고 있으며, 다음으로 도서관긍정성, 독서롤모델의 순으로 나타났다. 성격유형의 경우 일원배치분산분석 결과 성격유형 간 평균의 차이는 나타났으나, 구조모형 분석 결과 성격유형이 독서태도 및 독서유효성에 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

Empirical studies of superior's ethical leadership on organizational effectiveness of organization member have been done in various fields. However, it is difficult to find the previous research on civil servant in public sector. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyse causal relationship of ethical leadership and organizational effectiveness and to suggest theoretical and political implication for enhancing the level of civil servant's organizational citizenship behavior. As the result of analysing the causal relationship of superior's ethical leadership and organizational citizenship behavior, the factor of organizational effectiveness as the public attitude, this study shows that normative behavior, communication, reinforcement, and right decision-making have significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Based on these results, this study suggested theoretical and political implication and the limitations of study.

This Study attempts to analysis the degrees of the efficiency of fisheries marketing channel's effectiveness, which are traditional marketing channel's effectiveness of fisheries wholesale markets and Discount Store's effectiveness such as margin, marketing performance. The study methodologies include not only a field sample survey but also a field interview. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, at the numbers of fisheries marketing channel's margin factors, traditional marketing channel's margin factors are more than discount store's margin factors. Secondly, at the comparative study result of marketing channel margin efficiency, traditional marketing channel's prices are similar to discount store's prices. That is, consumers have bought similar retail price's seafood products through traditional marketing channels as well as discount stores cannels. Finally, however most consumers prefer discount stores to traditional retail stores because of discount store's multi-functions such as assortment of goods, freshness, exchange, refund and employee's kindness. In conclusion, the most important factor of fisheries marketing management is to realize the appropriate balance between marketing margin and consumer satisfaction.
