This paper presents a process plan selection model with multiple objectives. The process plans for all parts should be selected under multiple objective environment as follows: (1) minimizing the sum of machine processing and material handling time of all the parts considering realistic shop factors such as production volume, processing time, machine capacity, and capacity of transfer device. (2) balancing the load between machines. A multiple objective mathematical model is proposed and an evolutionary algorithm with the adaptive recombination strategy is developed to solve the model. To illustrate the efficiency of proposed approach, numerical examples are presented. The proposed approach is found to be effective in offering a set of satisfactory Pareto solutions within a satisfactory CPU time in a multiple objective environment.

These days, the damage of noise has increased seriously by rapid change of life style because of the centralization of urban population, and the rapid increase of traffic. The Ministry of Environment has emphasis on the systematic management about the noise of daily life and the close connection of daily noise management policy with relevant ministries, and put into practice "the master plan of lessening the noise of daily life" from year 2006. This study tried to find out the reduction methods and the effective management of railway noise in the action plan of railway part of "the master plan of lessening the noise of daily life". According to this study, railway noise can be reduced greatly by taking action of railway detail plans. The cause of railway noise varies by rolling stock, track and more, so the reduction methods of railway noise can be studied specially, scientifically and constantly in every field.

한국 대학도서관은 정보서비스와 조직개발을 위해 적절한 경영전략을 수립할 필요가 있다. 전략적 계획은 그러한 전략을 위한 효과적인 도구가 될 수 있다. 이러한 측면에서 이 연구는 먼저 전략적 계획의 개념과 수립과정에 대해 살펴본 뒤, 미국 인디애나주립대학교 도서관을 사례로 택하여 전략적 수립과정에 대해 구체적으로 조사하였다. 나아가 이 연구는 한국 사회와 대학도서관의 현단계를 고려하여 한국 대학도서관을 위한 전략적 계획 수립 방안을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to suggest visual resource management methods for the national parks and adjacent areas, where visual impacts by high rise buildings such as hotel, condominium, etc. become serious problems. In this study Soraksan National Park has been selected as a case study for landscape management planning. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Comprehensive landscape management planning for National Parks and adjacent areas is necessary to solve visual impact problems by high rise buldings such as hotel, condominium, etc. 2) It is suggested to investigate visual resources and conceptual landscape management ideas, to select landscape control points and lines, landscape management areas, and to prepare building height control plan for proper landscape management plan. 3) In case of Soraksan national park, the landscape management plan includes three landscape management areas : Landscape preservation area, General landscape management area, and special landscape management area. 4) In the part of special landscape management area, it is necessary to introduce landscape impact assessment system to more effective landscape management.

The aims of this study are proposal for architectural design guidelines and reviewing the remodeling tendencies in the campus facilities. To achieve these purposes, the architectural remodeling characteristics of 23 campus facilities have been investigated, and the technical construction methods were also analyzed for each one of these facilities. The results from this study are as follows : (1) The requests from the changes of academic plan and the degradation and obsolescence are highly occupied the causes of architectural remodeling in campus facilities. (2) In technical construction methods, the horizontal and vertical additions are effective in campus facilities remodeling. (3) According to the recent campus remodeling tendencies, the campus facility remodeling plan and schedule should be included in campus facility master plan.

The purpose of this study is to find a way to improve damaged forest in rural area in terms of both landscape . quality and regulation. Mountain and forest cover 65% of total land in Korea, and the shortage of areas for developing housing, road and facilities made us to use forest area for above purposes. This led various types of damages on the sensitive rural landscape visually and ecologically. There are rules and regulations for decreasing damaging effect by constructions on forest area, but it was not so effective because theses rules focused on quantitative issues only. This study will consist of three phases, 1. analyse landscape damage types by development tendencies in forest area 2. find diminution plan on each damage types 3. set improvement on rules and regulations both qualitatively and quantitatively. This study will meet the goal of improving and managing rural and forest landscape by providing objective standards, rational procedure and amelioration plan.

Korea is a small country with extremely high population density. Industrialization of the nation resulted GNP per capita of over 2,000$ in 1986 with an inevitable by-product, high level of pollution in many areas. Forest land is now acknowledged as not only a wood production site but also an origin of much more important intangible values, water and clean air, soil conservation, and recreational and scenic values. Mostly devastated forest land from Korean War has been recovered under the strong afforestation drive from the government. The first Forest Development Plan was mostly reforestation phase and the second Forest Development Plan is foundation establishment phase. The third and later Plans are to enlarge economical forest and to maintain sustatined yield phase. Forestry administration as well as forest research certainly played a great role in successful accomplishment of two Forest Development Plans. For effective planning and accomplishment of the third Forest Development Plan close cooperation among policy makers, forest managers and research workers are mostly required.

Managing of local government public service business is innovation strategy of local government public service business using choice and competition principle. As construction projects become larger, process plans become more complex, and inadequate process management leads to waste of time and resources. Effective process management requires process management techniques that can identify problems inherent in the process, continuously improve, and reflect interdependent process characteristics. In the field, the day's details by work type and work status are to be entered in the work daily report. However, even when important information is written, it is not directly linked to the overall process management. This study aims to propose specific process management and decision-making plan based on actual worker by visualizing and quantifying the information described in the existing work daily report. It is expected efficient process management to increase reliability and productivity through process management, which can increase the utilization of work daily reports and facilitates organic communication among participants.

Diesel engines emit PM and NOx during combustion. This is the main culprit of fine dust, which seriously affects the atmospheric environment. In particular, large-sized diesel vehicles over 3.5 tons emit a greater amount of pollutants because of their large displacement. The occurrence of vehicle abnormalities in this large-scale diesel vehicle causes even greater problems in the atmospheric environment. It was confirmed that there were many problems caused by natural regeneration DPF among large-sized diesel vehicles. Therefore, the most effective maintenance plan is suggested.
