선형 이산화 입력-출력 모형의 매개변수 결정에 관한 연구 (Estimation of Parameters of the Linear, Discrete, Input-Output Model)

  • This study has two objectives. One is developing the runoff model for Hoe-Dong Reservoir basin located at the upstream of Su-Young River in Pusan. To develop the runoff model, basic hydrological parameters - curve number to find effective rainfall, and storage coefficient, etc. - should be estimated. In this study, the effective rainfall was calculated by the SCS method, and the storage coefficient used in the Clark watershed routing was cited from the report of P.E.B. The other is the derivation of transfer function for Hoe-Dong Reservoir basin. The linear, discrete, input-output model which contained six parameters was selected, and the parameters were estimated by the least square method and the correlation function method, respectively. Throughout this study, rainfall and flood discharge data were based on the field observation in 1981.8.22 - 8.23 (typhoon Gladys). It was observed that the Clark watershed routing regenerated the flood hydrograph of typhoon Gladys very well, and this fact showed that the estimated hydrological parameters were relatively correct. Also, the calculated hydrograph by the linear, discrete, input-output model showed good agreement with the regenerated hydrograph at Hoe-Dong Dam site, so this model can be applicable to other small urban areas.   • Characterization of particle behavior is becoming more important in performance evaluation of water treatment system as well as in operation of the system because conventional parameter, turbidity has lack of explaining ability on small sized microorganisms such like Cryptosporidium etc. Accordingly, particle counter has been introduced in evaluation and operation of the treatment system. However researches on the relationship between turbidity, particle count and/or different sand/anthracite sizes have not been concurrent. Therefore in this study, the relationship was investigated to improve performance evaluation of sand filter so as to help choosing sand/anthracite effective size as a design parameter of water treatment facility. According to the results, too small or too large effective size media filter reached to turbidity limit(0.1 NTU)earlier. However, because shallow sand layer may cause early breakthrough, the depth of sand layer should be provided enough in order to compromise water quality and productivity.

A new method for determining the effective length factor of columns in partially braced frames on elastic supports

  • The effective buckling length factor is an important parameter in the elastic buckling analysis of steel structures. The present article aims at developing a new method that allows the determination of the buckling factor values for frames. The novelty of the method is that it considers the interaction between the bracing and the elastic supports for asymmetrical frames in particular. The approach consists in isolating a critical column within the frame and evaluating the rotational and translational stiffness of its restraints to obtain the critical buckling load. This can be achieved by introducing, through a dimensionless parameter 𝜙i, the effects of coupling between the axial loading and bending stiffness of the columns, on the classical stability functions. Subsequently, comparative, and parametric studies conducted on several frames are presented for assessing the influence of geometry, loading, bracing, and support conditions of the frame columns on the value of the effective buckling length factor K. The results show that the formulas recommended by different approaches can give rather inaccurate values of K, especially in the case of asymmetric frames. The expressions used refer solely to local stiffness distributions, and not to the overall behavior of the structure.

  • Phase change memory (PCM) has attracted much attention as one of the most promising candidates for next-generation nonvolatile memory. In that regard, the purposes of the study are to propose reference of effective pulse parameter to control phase switching operation and to invest the effect of nitrogen doped in PCM materials for improved cycling stability and economic energy consumption. Switching operation of PCM is affected by electric pulse parameter and as shown in figure.1 are composed to RT(rising time), ST(setting time), FT(falling time) and the effect of these parameter was precisely investigated. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) was used to confirm fine structure and retention cycle test was conducted to confirm reliability. Finally improvement reliability and economic power consumption in quantitatively are obtainable by optimum pulse parameter and nitrogen doping in GST material. these study is related to the engineering background of other semiconductor industries and it have confirmed to possibility further applications.

  • A procedure is proposed for determining the initial thickness distribution in oder to produce a specified final thickness distribution for the axisymmetrical superplastic blow forming processes. Weighted parameter is introduced to improve the simple ad $d_traction method and the initial blank thickness distribution is obtained by optimizing the weighted parameter. This method is applied to superplastic free bulging process with the uniform thickness distribution of final shape to confirm its validity. The optimum initial blank thickness distributions is obtained from arbitrary axisymmetrical superplastic blow forming processes such as dome, cone and cylindrical cup forming with die contact. It is concluded that the ad $d_traction method with weighted parameter is an effective method for an optimum blank thickness distribution design.esign.

A Semi-empirical Equation for Activity Coefficients of Ions with One Parameter

  • Based on the Debye-H$\ddot{u}$ckel equation, a semi-empirical equation for activity coefficients was derived through empirical and theoretical trial and error efforts. The obtained equation included two parameters: the proportional factor and the effective radius of an ionic sphere. These parameters were used in the empirical and regression parameter fitting of the calculated values to the experimental results. The activity coefficients calculated from the equation agreed with the data. Transforming to a semi-empirical form, the equation was expressed with one parameter, the ion radius. The ion radius, ${\alpha}$, was divided into three parameters, ${\alpha}_{cation}$, ${\alpha}_{anion}$ and ${\delta}_{cation}$, representing parameters for the cation, anion and combination, respectively. The advantage of this equation is the ability to propose a semi-empirical equation that can easily determine the activity coefficient with just one parameter, so the equation is expected to be used more widely in actual industry applications.

  • 학습제어 시스템은 제어대상 시스템의 파라미터를 모르는 경우에 파라미터 적응의 개념을 도입해서, 일종의 hybrid형 적응제어 시스템으로 간주하여 설계될 수 있다. 이러한 파라미터 적응형 학습제어 시스템은 이미 보고되었으나 연속시간 시스템에만 적용될 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 메모리소자를 반드시 포함하여야 하는 학습시스템에 대하여, 위의 제어알고리즘을 이산화 함으로써 디지탈기술의 발전에 비추어 실제의 적용을 용이하도록 하였으며, 그 타당성을 시뮬레이션으 통하여 확인하였다.

  • Depth error correction effect for maladjusted stereo cameras with calibrated pixel distance parameter is presented. The camera calibration is a necessary procedure for stereo vision-based depth computation. Intra and extra parameters should be obtain to determine the relation between image and world coordination through experiment. One difficulty is in camera alignment for parallel installation: placing two CCD arrays in a plane. No effective methods for such alignment have been presented before. Some amount of depth error caused from such non-parallel installation of cameras is inevitable. If the pixel distance parameter which is one of intra parameter is calibrated with known points, such error can be compensated in some amount. Such error compensation effect with the calibrated pixel distance parameter is demonstrated with various experimental results.

  • Robust design is one method to make manufacturing less sensitive to manufacturing process. Also it is cost effective technique to improve the quality process. This method uses statistically planned experiments to vary settings of important process control parameters. In this paper we apply fuzzy optimization and fuzzy logic system to robust design concept. First a method which uses fuzzy optimization in obtaining optimum settings by measured data from experiments will be presented. Second, fuzzy logic system is made to reduce experiments using experiments results consisted with key control parameter combinations. Then optimum parameter set points are obtained by the descrebed first fuzzy optimization method after prediction the results of each parameter combinations considering each control parameter variations by nonsingleton fuzzy logic system concept.

  • Computer vision system is broadly adapted like as autonomous vehicle system, product line inspection, etc., because it has merits which can deal with environment flexibly. However, for applying it for that industry, it has to clear the problem that recognize position parameter of itself. So that computer vision system stands in need of camera calibration to solve that. Camera calibration consists of the intrinsic parameter which describe electrical and optical characteristics and the extrinsic parameter which express the pose and the position of camera. And these parameters have to be reorganized as the environment changes. In traditional methods, however, camera calibration was achieved at off-line condition so that estimation of parameters is in need again. In this paper, we propose a method to the calibration of camera using line correspondence in image sequence varied environment. This method complements the corresponding errors of the point corresponding method statistically by the extraction of line. The line corresponding method is strong by varying environment. Experimental results show that the error of parameter estimated is within 1% and those is effective.
